Thekal is the so-called "Tiger" boss.

The Thekal Boss Fight involves two phases.
Phase one is the toughest. You engage Thekal and his two friends.
One of his friends gouges and does all sorts of nasty rogue-moves that cause tanking to be a bitch. He also hits for an absurdly fast amount of damage.
The other friends of Thekal's is a shaman more or less. He will heal and do other totem, shaman-like things.
The key is to separate Thekal, and his minions, into a giant Triangle. One of them is by the pulling Altar, one is in that large area to the north of his area, and the other is to the large area to the south.
As for actual strategy, stick two or so rogues on the Shaman, to interrupt him, as well as a few casters and other DPS. Stick a druid bear, warrior, and ranged DPS on the rogue-friend. Stick anything left over on Thekal.
Assign one person in each group to call out percentages. Then a raid leader must command people around to keep them relatively close. Once they all get down to 8-12%, have all of them brought together, and AOE them down. They must die within 10 seconds of each other, or else the fight begins again (And you'll have to run to reset it).
Phase two begins once they all die, Thekal comes back as Tigerman. Pull him over to the altar area, and have all the casters with their backs facing the mountain, and the tank with his back facing the other. Nuke his arse down fast, at this point it's more or less simple, one-two priests can easily keep the tank up indefinetly if played right.

Above strat is a good way to do it.
We usually have just one rogue and warrior on the shaman, who have to be very careful not to dps too hard (since one when of the three dies, the others will rez them).
So we dps down thekal first, then the rogue add, then Lor'Khan, and have the rogue on Lor'Khan kick and kidney shot and the war shield bash when she tries to heal.
By the down Thekal and Zath are down to 15% Lor'Khan is ready to join them in an AOE death.
Then we run into the altar area, and get our backs to the mountain on the right, while the MT builds aggro on the tiger on the left, and we kill his baby tiger adds.
Tigers will spawn during this last phase, and you will have to deal with them. We usually try to pour out enough dps to not have to deal with the tigers beyond the first spawn.

Here is a similar strategy albeit a bit different in the setup. As stated above separating Thekal, Lor'khan and Zath is key.
The way that my guild does it, we have the 3 warriors run in and grab their respective adds. Then, they bring them to the following positions.
Zath is taken out of the doorway and to the left if you are facing the altar. There is a dark green spot at the end of the first set of cages, this is where we tank Zath. Over with Zath, you have a warrior, a paladin, and a rogue.
In the middle of the doorway to the altar, Thekal is tanked on the road. A warrior is all that is needed for Thekal. The rest of the raid stands on the road down from Thekal, except those that are dealing with Lor'khan.
Over to the right of the doorway, between the sets of cages, a warrior pulls Lor'Khan to this position. A rogue and a paladin also stand with the warrior.
The Fight Phase 1
Once the warrior on Zath has aggro, dps starts on Zath. As stated above, Zath has some nasty rogue tricks. Whenever Zath incapacitates the warrior, the rogue can Kidney shot Zath to keep him in place or the paladin can stun him as well. Once Zath is down to between 30-35% dps shifts to Thekal. For the rest of the fight, only the warrior should be attacking Zath. The paladin and rogue standby in case Zath gets away. The rogue needs to maintain at least 3 combo points on Zath to do a Kidney Shot.
After getting Zath to 30%, dps switches to Thekal. A hunter needs to maintain a viper sting on Thekal for all of Phase 1. Attack Thekal until he is between 20-25%.
Then switch to Lor'khan. Prior to the raid attacking Lor'Khan, the paladin and rogue should be helping to kick and stun Lor'Khan to prevent him from healing. Once Lor'Khan is about 20-25%, the two other tanks bring Zath and Thekal to Lor'Khan's position. Then all three are burned down the rest of the way.
Phase 2
Everyone except the MT runs into the altar area to the right up the hill. The MT pulls Thekal to the left and puts his back to the wall. The other tanks are also on Thekal, fighting for aggro, should the MT go down. After 5 sunders, everyone attacks Thekal and burns him down.
Rogues help kill the first tiger spawns. A hunter then puts a viper sting up on Thekal to drain his mana, maintaining it for the rest of the fight.
Tiger spawns can be dealt with through fear or mages or warlocks using their AOE spells. A warlock using hellfire is especially effective in dealing with this.

We 4-manned him yesterday, group comprising of:
Druid
(Tank) 70
Shaman
(Healer) 70
Mage
70
Hunter
70
We killed off the tigers quickly and had the Tank keep them all together. Then we dps'ed all 3 down with the Mage keeping a check on the healer add, ready to Counterspell (they still got a few heals in due to cooldowns, but np). Managed to kill them off each within the 10 seconds pretty easily.
Phase 2 was simply tank and spank up near the walls to avoid too much knockback. Tank took up tiger adds when they came but group still focussed on Thekal. Went down pretty easily in the end :) no mount though, maybe next time!

Couple friends of mine went to ZG the other night with some alts on follow with some gear in mind. Group consisted of 2 prot pallies, 1 prot warrior, 1 holy priest and 1 fire mage (all 70s naturally). Prot warrior was in dps gear for this and the two pallies gathered up the whole pull and kept them together.
The mage and warrior did single-target dps and heal interrupts while the double consecrations whittled them all down pretty equally, worked very well although towards the end the priest ran into mana issues. One more actual dps or another healer would've made this very easy on the whole, I'd say you can do this with any number of odd combinations so long as you have the stamina / some interrupts, that being the whole key to this fight, it was pretty fun regardless.

We 2 Man this boss.
Me prot warrior. in Tier 4 / MH and Badge reward gear. 16.2 K HP unbuffed
Holy priest. T5 / MH / BT and Badge reward gear. 2200 + healing
Make sure your healer is VERY far away from you. When the rogue(?) gouge you all mobs run towards the healer. That gouge lasts for 4 seconds or something so before they reach the priest the gouge is gone and they run back to you. Focus VERY carefully on the healer. Interupt ALL heals. its a very very long fight. Get them al down to 2 or 3 % after that nuke the healer down and let the priest help DPSing the mobs down aswell.
Hope this helps a bit. Will fraps a movie next time and post it.
Good luck!

My Prot Paladin friend and myself, a Resto Druid, also had a fun run with this boss. He is very much duoable if you are specced for Feral Charge and Furor. Just have your Paladin keep Zealot Zath at his back so that he does not get gouged. As the Druid healer, you should keep Zealot Lor'Kahn targeted for Feral Charges. Only once did she start up a heal before my Feral Charge cooldown was up, and I believe that may have been because my Paladin stunned her before my charge hit. DON'T STUN HER UNLESS YOU HAVE TO! She has a fair chance to start recasting her heal as soon as the stun is over.
Beware of getting CC'd. Zealot Zath like to cast blind after you cast Feral charge, and might sometimes even gouge you. These two abilities followed by the Silence that Thekal casts can be killer. Unfortunately, this happened to us as we were getting ready to focus fire them down to start Phase 2, and we did not have enough time for another shot before raid time. We will go back, however, and he will die! =)
As a side note, neither of us have gear beyond the early parts of TK. Most of our gear is from 10 man dungeons, heroics, or badges. Make sure to bring a few mana potions, as well, if you try this!

I can confirm that keeping Zealot Zath behind the tank will stop all gouges.
I managed to 3 man this with a Lock, Resto Druid and a Mage. The Lock's Void Walker tanked them while the Mage Counterspelled the heals. Without the gouge, the fight was trivial.

I managed to 2 man this boss.
A warlock (80) and me a Deathknight (80).
All you need to do is letting the lock aoe whilst you tank them.
Keep your eyes fixed on your healt and the shaman so you can interrupt his heal when needed. Once they are around 3-5% hp, aoe them like crazy and you're golden.
Phase one can be quite hectic and annoying with interrupting the heals and such but Phase two is easy-mode and you'll have him down in no time.
You need alot of hp for this boss.
I have 21k hp unbuffed and the lock has 17k hp unbuffed
Too bad the mount didnt drop for us =(

As the above comments state: he and his friends are pretty much soloable at level 80. I did it easily myself as a Death Knight (Blood) with some defense gear. Remember that the female troll casts heal on the others so make sure to have rune power left for a Mind Freeze (Interrupt spellcasting). She can also be silenced and stunned.
Make sure to remember to CLEAR THE AREA!
Once I got to the point when he transforms into a tiger, he aggroed every single mob around the area which pretty much gave me a nice wipe. As those mobs got something called "Axe Flurry" that stuns you for a long time. (Might only be me however, as maybe I was too close, although he didn't aggro them until he came into Tiger form)
He also summons tigers in his "Transform tiger" phrase, however they shouldn't be hard (about 6K hp)
Edit: I tried again and he does not aggro the people around if you stay inside the cage.

Solo'd as level 80 prot warrior. I found it helpful to focus Zealot Lor'Khan to see when she is casting her heal so I wouldn't miss it. The cast time is really long and can be interrupted with shield bash, conc blow, shockwave, heroic throw (with gag order talent), as well as racials such as war stomp and arcane torrent. If for some bizarre reason those are all on cooldown then you can chance a revenge stun proc. I only missed one heal and that was because I wasn't paying attention. However she didn't seem to heal that much and you can easily afford to miss a few.
To stay alive I used the alchemist tank trinket for the pot healing bonus, Spyglass of the Hidden fleet for the stam and heal (I used it twice in the fight). In full tank gear and with last stand my enraged regeneration ticks for ~1300 health so that is a real boost in surviving the fight. I also shield walled and I think used a nightmare vine. I ended the fight on <10% health so next time I think I'll get some buffs and maybe some elixirs as well.

1) Figurine of the Colossus
2) /Tar Zealot Lor'Khan /cast Shield Bash
3) ....
4) Profit
Mount and agro the tigers that are on the right side along the path as you come to the bosses area. You can jump up along the ground and wall up onto the ledge above. Follow this and drop down right in front of Thekal. Try not to kill the tigers as they will keep you alive via Shield Block + Figurine. Put Zealot Lor'Khan on focus and use the /target macro to stop his heals. All this plus a dodge trinket, Last Stand + our new regen and shield wall...I never went below 60% health.
Good Luck!

Solo'd pretty easily as a Feral Druid in Heroic/Naxx/Emblem gear.
I focused the healer so I was able to see when she began casting heals. The long cast time allowed me to get some distance and feral charge her before she got any heals off, that was pretty much all I needed to worry about. Remember to kill them all around the same time and you're golden.
When I got to phase two I simply barkskin+tranquility and was at more than enough HP to kill the High Priest.

Soloed him as Protection Paladin in Heroic/Naxx(10)/Emblem gear.
As a paladin, all my offensive abilities -except HotR- are spells and getting silence spam by Thekal making this harder. Judgement of Light and Seal of Light always kept me over 95% hp and my mana was infinite by Blessing of Sanctuary.
Killed tigers at first and started Hammer of the Righteous spam. Consecration and Avenger Shield helped me for keeping their hp almost same. Fight will be boring sometimes because most of time Lor'Khan waiting silence for heal herself or buddys. Anyway i was prepared for this fight and re-spec'd for Improved Hammer of Justice. 30 seconds cooldown on HoJ and Blood Elf racial helped alot.
At the end fight took me about 27 minutes :) No luck for sweet Zulian Tiger though.

Managed to solo him afterall when i respecced to Blood, like an semi-tanking build with toughness, blade barrier, anticipation (2/5) - 57/5/9 build. Vampiric Blood offers an counter for the Mortal Cleave debuff. You will also need some tanking items, blue quest rewards & AH items are enough though.
But dont pickup bloodworms, since then you wont be able to use your blood build vs. Hexxer or Hakkar because they will MC you. Mark of Blood is optinional (for example, cast this on the rogue but i didn't take this) but the things you must have a Rune Tap -> Imp. Rune Tap, Vampiric Blood. The rotate them when you need healing along with Death Strikes.
You should use the macro interrupt the heals from Lor'khan, it's basically an long tank & spank fight. When P2 begins and he spawns the tigers use IBF and summon your own army of ghouls to get them off you, your ghouls should be able to kill them all.
Intresting tip for blood DK's, you can summon Dancing Rune Weapon when you fight Hakkar - he didn't MC me but Hexxer might reset (i didn't try).

Just duo'd quite easily with a protection paladin and balance druid (me), freshly dinged 80 today with leveling blues.
Pally tanked all three, with me healing as necessary (which wasn't much). Neither of us could reliably interrupt heals, so I would watch their health bars and focus dps on whichever one had the highest percent health. Had to use an innervate about 30%, shadowmeld to drop aggro when they gouged the paladin (but when shadowmeld was on cooldown, they didn't do enough damage to kill me anyway). The silences were not much of an issue, as I resisted about half of them.
When all three all down to about <10%, I used hurricane to get them the rest of the way down at the same time. The second phase was easy, be sure to heal back to full before he pops back up. I was almost oom by then so just stood there to regen mana, as the paladin was not taking much damage. When I had some mana back, I summoned my treants again and just burned him down the rest of the way.
We did not aggro any mobs on the way in, and the boss does not aggro any of them during the fight.

SOLOING AS A LEVEL 80 PROT WARRIOR
Just soloed him as a level 80 prot warrior in prot gear (heroic to 25man naxx gear). 30K health with commanding. I did not use any pots/buffs/etc to do it. My strat was as follows.
I used shield wall and last stand early as its a long fight. My first enraged regeneration was at 60-70% health and my second came when in phase 2. I took the healer down last. I interrupted her heals (I think I missed one or two) and I also switched targeting to her when she casted lightning shield and shield slammed her to remove it. Bandaged between phase 1 and 2. Rest is pretty easy...tank and spank.
Next time I might start with a Greater Ward of shielding to take some extra damage. I'm also going to save last stand for when I hit enraged regeneration. I took 43720 damage during the whole fight, so with health at 30k, 2 enraged regenerations and a bandage I was able to do it.....but not by much!

Tactics for any setup, solo or group.
Phase 1:
Set Focus on "
Lor'Khan
" and
interrupt his heals
!
AoE dmg or single damage them down,
have to die at the same time
.
Phase 2:
Tank and Spank

No, it will not be possible for a rogue to solo this boss at 80, unless you manage to find some way to become unhittable (like that rogue in the end of TBC, which won't happen due to diminishing returns on avoidance).
In short: You'll get fisted.

I found this boss a lot easier to solo than Mandokir as an Unholy Death Knight tank.
The tactic is pretty straightforward as it is identical to what you should be using in any setup, but here are some tips that helped me nail this bugger and his friends:
Tips when solo'ing High Priest Thekal as a tanking specced DK
:
Being a very intense fight, you'll have to keep your eyes on quite a few different things. The obvious DK tanking issues, such as
Blade Barrier
, diseases on your current target and your current health, should be a given. Additionally, you will want to be aware of the health of your three targets and the heals that
Zealot Lor'Khan
casts.
In order to avoid the fight being prolonged by missed heals, I would advise you to use the following macro to interrupt Zeal Lor'Khan:
#showtooltip Mind Freeze
/tar Zealot Lor'Khan
/cast Mind Freeze
/cast Strangulate
Attempt to always have enough Runic Power for
Mind Freeze
(20 unless Frost Specced with
Endless Winter
). This allows you to save
Strangulate
for those rare occassions where Mind Freeze is on cooldown when Lor'Khan is casting.
Remember that the fight is not a DPS race as much as it is a struggle to stay alive while burning the three bad guys at a steady pace. Keep damaging different targets while keeping your eyes on Lor'Khan's cast animation, use
Death Strike
as often as needed. Once you get them all to 3-5%, go all out on damage and get them all down as fast as possible. If you succesfully reach Phase 2, you've pretty much beat it.
I hope this helps you Death Knights out there. I assume tanking spec as I do not see this being done very easily with a raid DPS spec. At my first time of doing this, I was sitting at a measly 22k health, 24k armor and ~55% avoidance.
While this might not seem very helpful to other classes, I hope some people could benefit from some of the advice as it's pretty general, Death Knight-only skills aside.

Not solod not easy by feral dps spec in mix of t7.10/25 and badge gear.
Best effort was:
tank gear
Regrowth
Bear
FC
Kill the tiger adds
Keep healer focus-framed and interrupt heals
Shift out at 50% hp with Barkskin to heal - but even with weapon switch didn't heal enough.
Gonna try again next time I'm tankspec'd.
Edit: Came back full tankspec, got my rotations down, but get silenced trying to heal or let the shaman get a heal off and it's all over. Not worth the wipes until I'm full t7 or similar.
Best off fighting behind the cage, a little more room to run for Feral Charge and easier to see health bars. Feral Faerie Fire on each mob, make sure to stack up Infected Wounds debuffs on everyone. For the love of god don't forget to heal to full while he's about to get into Tiger form. Yep. Dead druid. Coming back in a week or two with better gear, more dps in tankspec, put bleeds on everyone should help dps.
Came back again, partially raidbuffed. Flasked. Foodbuffed. Had some Charged Crystal Focus stones left over.
Recommended build if you're just barely at the gear level needed to accomplish this solo at about 180-190 average itemlevel (partial t7):
https://www.wowhead.com/cata/talent=0ZeGGscrzceRcczAobA0z
Recommended buffs:
As many raidbuffs as you can get from your guildies/friends. Do a /who Stormwind or Stranglethorn Vale to see what's available.
Get healthstone from a warlock.
Flask, food and a stack of Agi/Str/Sta scrolls.
Fight behind the cage and make sure you have the shaman focus targeted. No interrupts - dead you. Interrupt every single heal - possible success.
Keep tab targeting after you kill the tigers, you need the following debuffs on each 3:
Infected Wounds
Demo Roar
FFF
Mangle
Lacerate
In practice you won't be able to keep all 4 debuffs up on all, but try dammit.
Use all cooldowns right off the bat except Survival Instincts - leave that for when you're almost done. Berserk will be up by the time they're almost dead. If you mess up it's possible to get away, cat/sprint out and reset, esp. if they start ressing each other. I never shifted out to heal, with my spellpower weaponswitch it just didn't seem worth it, you do too little healing in the time it takes for Barkskin to wear off, you take too much damage, let all the debuffs wear off and on top of that you risk the shaman getting a massive heal off while you're busy mucking around in caster form.
Finally succeeded in soloing this boss today for the first time. GUESS WHAT DROPPED?
Swift Zulian Tiger
...And I thought I'd be doing this every raid reset for a few months. Bloody amazing. Guildchat went nuts when I got the achievement.
Last edit: Duh. Doofus. I'm a dumbass for not making sure I had 4 other people in the raid with me for the soon-to-be-changed Protector of the Pack max armour.

Ok we did this with 2 man. 1 holy paladin and a protection warrior level 80.
It was a long fight cause we didn´t know they would rez eachother when one dies.
So we had to kill them all at the same time.
What we did was to down the healer first till about 5% and interupting every heal she did.
Then on to the next mob still interupting the first mob´s healing.
Then the Boss till about 3% and then we started to use AoE based attacks like Thunderclaps and Shockwave as well Concecrations.
It was a long fight because we ´killed´ the mobs first one by one to see if it made a difference. But they have to die all 3 at almost the same time.
Phase 2 was the most easiest raid fight ever.
The mob kind of enraged when it was around 10% of his life. As a warrior I blocked most of the attacks (high weapon speed = lots of blocks).

A neat little trick to make this fight easier if you're a clearing the trash to either side of him.
Here's a step by step.
* When entering Thekal's room you'll see a couple of large pots by the wall on the right hand side of the area - you're going to want to practice jumping from the pot that's fallen onto its side to the wall a couple of times.
* Once you've mastered the wall jump, start killing the group closest to the pots - ignore the tigers and concentrate on killing one axe thrower - any stun you can throw in to reduce at least one axe flurry (that stuns you constantly) will help but go all out dps on one axe thrower - when it dies, either go kill a second axe thrower or if you are hurting jump via the pot onto the wall and they will reset - heal up and keep repeating this process till both groups are dead. My bear specced druid is able to take out the groups without resetting most of the time.
*Once the two groups closest to the boss are gone, aggro the bosses and drag them over near the doorway to the area - concentrate all dps on Lor'Khan. Make sure she can't heal herself. When she drops below 20,000 or so health back halfway down the ramp leading out of the area and finish her off - as soon as she dies (before the few seconds or so passes and she is ressed), run right out onto the exterior pathway and Thekal will reset.
*Re-enter the room and express great delight to discover that Lor'Khan has not respawned or been ressed and you only have to deal with Zath and Thekal and NO HEALER. Kill them like usual (making sure they both die within seconds of each other and the rest is a piece of cake.
- If for some reason you'd rather do the fight without Zath, the same trick works with him too.
(edit: I'll agree with the post lower down that you don't need to kill the left group - just the right one and any tiger cubs running round)

I am solo farming this boss for the Swift Zulian Tiger mount as an Unholy Death Knight. First i was a little bit worried if i would be able to solo this boss because i read it is hard to make them die at the same time cause of gouges, heals etc.
What I found out is that this boss is idiotically easy to solo farm as a DK.
Personally, I use tanking gear to make it even easier. That way i don't gt hit by a single gouge.
As far as those heals go - i was scared if i would be able to react quickly enough to counter them until i realized that they have VERY slow cast time. If you put it on focus and use a macro, not a single heal should go off. Just use Death and Decay, Pestilence, Blood Boil, Unholy Blight and focus on Thekal. You have to bring em down to very low health (at which point DnD shouldn't be on the ground), stack diseases on one target, use pestilence and finish em off with quick Scourge Strikes.
When he turns into a tiger - enter that cage and tank him there with your back turned away from the door. Else, his Force Punch can knock you back which will end up in pulling Axe Throwers, whose constant 2 sec stuns will almost certainly be fatal to you.
Just use Death Strike to keep yourself up when needed and that's pretty much everything you need to know about soloing High Priest Thekal.
Good luck with farming your Zulian Tiger =)

Just did this as a protection warrior. (Argent Dawn EU)
My tactic is to tank them down somewhat equally. Don't let one of them get on to low health, or you might accidentally kill it with your 'Damage Shield' ability. (Kept them at 8-9k) Lor'Khan was the first to die btw.
To counter Zealot Lor'Khan's heals a simple /tar and /cast shieldbash macro is sufficient.
#showtooltip Shield Bash
/tar Zealot Lor'khan
/cast Shield bash
The showtooltip is purely cosmetical, not needed.
Phase 2 is easy cakes. Just back in a corner and tank him down. You can also easily kill the tigers he summons.
As was the case with Mandokir, I used the same 2 trinkets to heal during the fight:

A few things that should be noted:
The macro you listed cast both Mindfreeze AND Strangulate on Zealot Lor'khan. I suggest the following macro, instead.
#Showtooltip
/cast Strangulate; Mind Freeze
This will cast Strangulate while the alt key is held, and mind freeze when it is not. Zealot Lor'khan has to be your focus target though.
You will often be either gouged or disarmed. Death Strike accordingly.
A Tanking spec is not required. (It sure helped me a ton, though.) Tanking gear, however, is. Some hit gear never hurts, either.
As unholy spec, keeping Unholy Blight up at all times and frequently using pestilence, I accidentally killed Lor'khan my first time through much earlier than I had thought. I would recomend stopping DPS at 10% on your first target, 5% on your second target. Obviously different for Blood or Frost DK's, and I can't comment on either.
Best of luck to you Tiger Farmers!

Duoed by an enhancement shaman and a blood DK using Frost Presence. His melee attacks are feeble and can be easily outhealed by DK's own healing abilities without extra heals. The only part when extra heals were needed with the boss is when he uses Mortal Cleave, which will hit more than normal and leave a debuff that decreases healing taken by 50%.
Healer add fortunately has a long-cast healing spell, so setting the focus to her can easily solve the problems with her heals. Since the hit and spell hit are together now, enhancement shamans are very good interrupters with Earth Shock and Wind Shock. Plus the free instant cast Chain Lightning from Maelstrom can easily take down the Phase 1 of this boss.
Phase 2 is typical tank & spank. If your tank is seriously undergeared, just keep an eye on his health bar when boss enrages.

Soloing as a Feral Druid:
It's kinda difficult, actually more difficult than the raptor guy for me because if you miss one stun on the healer, you might as well reset the event.
Phase 1: Kill tigers first, then begin to dps one of the 3 down, keep up at least one lacerate, make sure to keep up demo roar, and FF on the current target. Be sure to ALWAYS keep your eye on Lor'Khan as she is the healer. I made a macro to target her and bash her also one to target and feral charge her to make it that much easier. The animation of her heal is quite obvious so you should always know when she's about to cast it. Save berserk for when you have them all at relatively low health so you can mangle spam them to death.
Phase 2: After all of them have died, QUICKLY pop out and barkskin and begin to heal up as long as barkskin lasts. When thekal goes tiger mode he's not really a threat and your only concern is healing yourself as long as barkskin is up then you go back in bear and spank and tank him. You might need to use Frenzied regen. But as along as you can get him to tiger form with 50 percent + hp, then you've won. Remember while fighting all 3 guys keep up demo roar and barkskin every cooldown!
I did this with only thorns and mark and made a raid with 4 other alts DC'd in my party to have the full guardian buff.

Confirmed on January 21, 2009 (Patch 3.0.8) that the bugging of Lor'khan (the healer) does work.
As many people can write up multiple guides for x class, I will not bore anyone with specs and the like.
Yes, I'm a feral druid. Look up Mute of Dethecus US. With that aside, I'll continue on what I did to achieve victory against this boss.
The bottom of the ramp is the reset point, you may have to do an extremely hard pull with axe throwers. (Its very hard to pull the boss between them) Your main goal is to get the three pull (boss, rogue, and healer) to the bottom of the ramp. Going out onto the main pathway where the Berserker patrols is the reset point.
So the easiest way to do this boss for anyone attempting, is...
1.) Look at loot table and hope that x item will drop.
2.) Have a great deal of fun (see definition of sarcasm) on killing the right pack of Axe Throwers.
I don't know if this is necessary, however... it does save a great deal of stress if you can pull it off.
3.) Pull the boss characters towards the bottom of the ramp, burn Lor'khan.
4.) Once she dies, reset the encounter by going to the middle of the pathway, off the ramp.
5.) Run back towards the boss encounter, and kill off the final two remaining.
6.) Profit.
The hardest part of this encounter, is killing off the Axe Thrower pack. Other than that, doing this every reset is entirely possible.
Good luck to all.

Easy fight, for the most part you just have to keep AoE up and watch for Lor'Khan to heal. As long as you interrupt her heals and are careful to keep them even it's an easy fight.

After doing a 1 hour fight with prot pally, I noticed some things :p
I didn't get them down, because of the 5sec silence every frkin time...
I almost got him, like 1% left -_-''
Anyways this is what I found that might be usefull:
The healer got a specific healing order.
First of all it will always heal the lowest hp,
in this order:
healer himself, Boss, other add
Most close i got to defeating him was to AoE on the healer, so that its health is lower then the bosses health. Then keep AoE'ing till u see the bosses health is aroun 40k ish.
Go back on the healer, hope u can stun it while it uses its heal spell, after the stun go bubble and nuke all u got on the boss.
But u need to get lucky not to get silenced when u want to stun healer during its cast :p.
Anyways the other add goes down fairly easy, but it gets ressed anyway, and the healer doesn't even pay attention to him.
so remember
Healer > Boss > add

This boss as a DK was pretty easy to do, quite a bit easier than Mandokir I found. I just DPS'd down the healer of the three mobs (can't remember her name, but it's a female and she has the least HP) being sure to stop all heals. While DPSing her down, I kept unholy blight up, and just pestilenced and blood boiled with all of my blood cooldowns. When she dies, DPS Thekel as he has the most HP, still being sure to spread the diseases and do as much AoE to the other mob as possible. She will get rezzed several times, but if you keep killing her while being sure to stop all heals, you will eventually kill her and find Thekel and the male add within 2 or 3 swings from dead.
When Thekel rezzes, just pull him back into the area where they are standing when you engage so you don't get thrown back into the surrounding packs. Happy hunting on your tiger. :)
Edit: The MS that get applied is pretty easy to deal with. If you are in trouble and MS is up, save your Icebound fort and/or bone armor for the MS to fall off, and death strike back up. MS only lasts for 3 or 4 seconds and I think only got applied roughly every 30, maybe more.
Edit 2: Saw that some other people have listed basically the same strat for DK's. My bad. I'll keep this up, just in case, but feel free to downrate it as it is simply repeated information.

im specced retri and i managed him.
only thing important is to have the 30sec stun+ around 3100-3200 ap goes faster anyway.
so a combo of tank and dps gear took around 10-15min to get bosses down.
divine storm is nice dps saves mana and keeps hp up. i used seal of wisdom to keep mana up never went anywhere near out of mana.
just keep nuking healer.

Very easy to solo as an 80 blood/uh DK, simply /focus the healer, and every time she starts to cast, cast Mind Freeze on her. Make sure they all die at once, and voila, easy mount farming.

Soloable as a 17/0/54 Unholy Death Knight. I've been farming Thekal and his friends for some time now. At first I was having some trouble with phase one due to Mortal Cleave and gouge, since Lor'khan liked to time her heals right. Now I usually just skip permaghoul.
Usually I start the pull with PS > IT on Zath, followed by a Pestilence and Death and Decay as well as Unholy Blight when all the mobs are on me. Lor'khan will try to heal the tiger adds, just interrupt her.
I use pestilence to keep diseases up full time on all of them; first use pestilence on one mob, switch target and use it again (no longer needed from 3.1.0. since pestilence refreshes diseases on the target as well). Lor'khan will try to heal when a mob goes under 50%, so keep an eye on her. The heal animation is hard to miss though.
Phase 2 is basically a free kill, he melees lightly and sometimes uses Speed Slash, which causes you to bleed for 500~ damage each second. Nothing you can't manage since you got this far. When he spawns tigers I usually pop pestilence, diseases together with UB are more than enough for 'em. He enrages on low hp, nothing serious. Just take him down.
Good luck with farming for the mount :)

An easy way to solo this guy is to use the exploit were you force his two adds to despawn. Clear all the tigers and axe throwers, then pull the Priest and his adds. run outside the walls were he reside, Hakkar will now yell something and the Priest and his adds should reset, now, if you´re quick try attack Thekal.(while he will try to run back" If attacked in the right moment his adds will despawn and you should be able to face him in phase two without even touching the adds. Happy mount farming

I soloed this as a feral druid as well. My approach does not include bugging the healer out, instead I just feral charge him every time she's about to heal.
The biggest difference between my approach and other people's is that I clear
all
the trash in the area outside. This means having fun with 9 axe throwers (more on that in a minute). Having done that, I do the entire High Priest fight kiting backwards. I never get hit from behind, and I always have enough distance between me and the healer when she starts casting. I find this easier than starting to move when she casts cause I'm in the habit of moving all along. All I have to do is feral charge my focus target. I also don't care to rely on bash because the CD on it isn't long enough to do it every time. I prefer a "slow and steady wins the race approach."
I brought them all down to about 50k each, focusing each one individually. Then I started to spam swipe and maul, switching targets regularly to bring them all down evenly. As soon as one of them died I go kitty, pop berserk, and finish the other two off.
The hardest part of this encounter, is killing off the Axe Thrower pack. Other than that, doing this every reset is entirely possible.
I think that people from all classes probably feel this way. I tried a number of things at first, including stunning one, rooting another and focusing the third. This is not a good idea because it actually ends up staggering the cast times of their axe throws, so rather than having some time where
everyone
is throwing axes (and I barkskin), I ended up with them doing them sequentially, so I was essentially stunned the whole fight. That's just not fun.
Instead, I make sure I kill the berserker outside (better safe than sorry), and run back to the giant columns on either side of the ramp (at the top of the ramp). I basically keep moving around the columns and jumping down on to the ramp in the opening. This keeps all the mobs in a nice, tight formation, and makes it so that much of the time I can actually hop out of line of sight just as they are starting to cast their throws.
Also, every time you hop down on to the ramp from one of those holes they run the long way around to get to you. That gives you a precious couple of seconds to do what you need to do.
Char
EDIT:
I found another way to deal with them as a night elf druid. Basically I sneak up to one of the axe throwers while stealthed in cat form. I zerg the axe thrower and immediately shadowmeld. At this point the trash has reset, but there are only two throwers to worry about. I sneak up to the second one in kitty, zerg him too, and still have time to kill the third before a single axe-throw rotation. The tigers don't hit that hard that you can't survive it as a kitty. Once they're all down, either kill the tigers as kitty or bear, your choice.
Here's the irony: During my farming that trash was the hardest part. The day I figured out this strat to take care of the axe throwers was the day the mount dropped for me. I'll never need that trick again :/

Further comments/tips having honed my solo farming of this guy.
1. In order to pull him safely the only mob you need to kill is the leftmost axe thrower of the right hand group - slaughter him then jump up on to the wall using the fallen pot as a stepping stone to reset the rest of the group.
2. The trick to big Lor'Khan out of the fight works great, but you can take it a step further. If you bug her by killing her and quickly hopping out of the zone so thekal resets - there's an additional bonus if you can get back to Thekal VERY quickly after Lor'Khan drops and you reset. A druid in travel form can do this - a) have Lor'khan die right in the doorway and back out so thekal resets. b) swap to travel form and go for all you are worth to Thekal's start point and begin the fight. c) if you made it back before Lor'khan "dies", the stage when she would normally have been resurrected to rejoin the fight, Thekal will instantly transform into tiger form and go to stage three, so you can basically take Zath out of the fight also.

Very easy to solo as a level 80 DK, I did it as frost tank specced. No need to clear any trash since you can just pass them.
On my rogue it was a bit harder, it seems the only way to do it solo on a level 80 rogue is by using the bug to start him in tiger phase. Also you need to clear all the trash in the room which can be very annoying (axe throwers) and cost you a few deaths. Once all the trash is cleared, use the bug to start him in phase 2, kill 2 tigers and nuke boss.
I did it in my normal 15/51/5 raiding build, still had flask up, used food buff and 1 crazy alchemist potion (use speed potion if you are not alchemist) with all best in slot gear. I died a few times trying to figure out how to use the bug but when it finally worked he died in 1 try. I died a few seconds after from the DoT.
When the boss goes in tiger form you have time to kill the 2 tigers before the boss engages you, then pop evasion / adreniline rush / killing spree in whatever order suits you best.
*edit*
I did it again today and had plenty of health left this time so its quite easy as a rogue also.

Soloing ZG as Retribution Paladin: Thekal
Unable to solo this boss as retribution. Basic problems are exactly the same I have when fighting Jeklik... Silence, so I can't heal myself, and 60 seconds cd on my spell interrupt (HoJ), so the priest can pull through most of her heals.
Anyone manages to solo this boss as retri, drop a line please.
Agathoklis, human retribution paladin in Bloodhoof
EDIT: I respecced Protection (just my offspec so decent gear only) and finally managed to solo kill this boss. As I could only interrupt half the priest's heals since my (improved) HoJ cd is 30" and she heals every 20-25 seconds, my strategy was only to interrupt heals that would break the "balance" of health i was trying to maintain between them. Hard to explain it in detail, but I was aiming to have them all at around the same health so I could AoE them in the end. I often changed targets to do that. After a couple of "Aaaarggh" tries, when I was just silenced before I could interrupt the decisive heal, I managed to have them all 3 at around 5-10% health and, great happiness!, I was able to bubble and stun the last heal, since I was (again) silenced ! From there all was easy. Tiger drop? nah...:(
Btw, my talent tree was a "survival" protection :)

Easily solo'd as a level 80 Death Knight.
I was in my tanking set, which is a mix of Naxx 10 and 25 pieces and a few heroic pieces still even. I wasn't even in my usual blood tanking spec, I had a 14/0/57 Unholy DPS spec, but it didn't matter. Tanking gear and Frost Presence is what was required. Focus on Lor'kan and maybe even make a /cast Mind Freeze macro. Get them all down to about >5% and then burst them down one by one quickly. After that when Thekal resurrects in tiger form, it's cake.
The key to soloing any of the bosses in ZG is Death Strike. Death Strike, then Death Strike, then Death Strike some more. Did I mention you should Death Strike? If you find yourself in a pinch, go ahead and sacrifice your ghoul for a beefy heal.
If I was in my normal blood tanking spec, I probably would have had a much easier time, and it will probably be even easier when 3.1 hits with the new Improved Death Strike talent.
Good luck with those mounts.
Note: I easily solo'd Bloodlord just before using the same basic strategy: Death Strike.

Here's how to solo it as any class (the bug way):
Clear the whole room. If you don't you will aggro all of them and die (the axe throwers occasionally start spinning and stunlocking you).
Mount up and aggro the boss. Ride to the back of the room, there's a tree stump that you have to stand on so that the boss and the adds will not hit you. Stand there for a few seconds (Thekal will silence you a few times but that's fine) and the mobs will run back. Follow the tigers closely, they should attack you before they finish running back. Now two things can happen: either thekal and the zealots will attack again, in which case you have to run back to the stump and try again, or the adds will despawn and thekal will enter phase 2.
Once you are in phase 2 it is pretty straightforward and should be doable by any class. Thekal will summon 2 tigers a couple times throughout the fight, kill them and continue attacking the boss.
I just did it as a hunter in SV spec with a cat pet which is far from optimal for soloing pre-bc instances.

Soloed him as a holy paladin, bugging the adds by accident...
stats were as follows...
- 53/0/18 Holy Spec
- 1537 spell power
- 28 crit
- 15k hp
- 18.4k mana
Naxx 10, OS, heroic cloth, and 70 blue gear... Basically any holy paladin with better than gear than me won't have to worry about this fight.
I tried the fight a few days earlier without bugging and I wiped multiple times. It doesn't seem like you can do this fight solo as holy without bugging out the adds. I am sure you could mix in prot gear and such, but why bother while you can still bug the fight... Chain silences and trying to run the healer oom while getting beat on does not interest me...
Shield of Righteousness
,
Holy Shock
,
Judgement of Light
, and
Seal of Wisdom
were what I used to DPS him down. I kept Sacred Shield up at all times during the fight and used FoL to heal myself. The tiger adds that are spawned died from consecration and retribution aura. I only had to really start healing when he went into a
Frenzy
. I then bubbled so I could just pump out more DPS and he died before Bubble expired.
It was not a stressful fight at all... If I had better gear, it would have gone faster and smoother. The actual hardest part of the whole instance was clearing the axe throwers in his room; I wiped twice due to chain stuns...
I hope this helps any holy paladins wanting to attempt Thekal.

That's a useful macro for feral charging the heals:
/target Zealot Lor'Khan
/cast Feral Charge - Bear
/targetlasttarget
It targets Lor'khan, casts feral charge and selects your last target (I usually dps Thekal and the dmg from swipe and maul keeps the zealots close to him)
this fight is all around interrupting her heals, even more with the new Savage Defense which absorbs a huge amount of incoming dmg; with my current crappy gear (31k hp 33%, basically some ilevel 200 epics and blues) I could kill thekal without using frenzied regeneration.

There really isnt much to say, if you are raid geared feral Druid you can solo this easily. Set Lor'khan as your focus and charge when he heals. Bring them all down at the same time and its smooth after that.

Managed to solo this as a retribution pally today. I am spec'd 11/5/55 this gives me aura mastery which comes into play big time. My strategy was to bring all three enemies down to about 35% health, the point at which the priest begins to heal. I used aura mastery (prevents any silences or spell inturupts), popped wings and hammer of justice and went to town on the priest. Albeit it was sloppy but I managed to get the third target down just before the first one I killed was rezz'ed.
This took me three cycles (killing them all only to have one rez in time) to get it down. On the final cycle I used my lay on hands and a mana pot before I made my final push. Because of my gear I was able to primarily heal myself through DS and FoL when I was not effected by silence (along with sacred shield) along with judgement of light. I ended up using SoC rather than vengeance so I would survive easier.
note: this takes A LOT of dps since you only have a small window to kill the three of them before the priest begins to heal again.
I had attempted this about a month ago to no avail at all, primarily due to the fact that I had weaker gear and no aura mastery to rely on.

seemingly very easy duo with an unholy DK and me, a lock(demo and a bit into dest). during phase 1 my DK kept bringing the zealots down to low health and moving on, but this doesnt work as if you try they will accidentally die from AoEs. we let at least 3 or 4 of them get rezzed and still managed to down him, though no more than maybe 1 heal got off because of an untimely gouge or blind. neither of us are very geared, im in mostly heroic gear with a few raid pieces, and the Dk just hit 80 about a week ago.
i maganged to glitch him once while trying to solo it so him and his zealots abandoned the 2 tigers in the cage with them and reset without respawning them, by letting my VW do the pull and me pulling the aggro of the tigers only, when they killed my VW they reset, and left me to fight only the tigers, and when i killed the tigers they didnt respawn. attempts to repeat this failed when zath blinds or gouges my VW and switches to me, but if you dont hit them or they dont hit you i guess it would work.

I've been looking for this, since I remember seeing it here before but it seems to be deleted. A possible helpful macro for tanks, especially for me as a Frost DK, is
/targetlasttarget
/cast (shift-click on your spell cast interrupt in your spellbook)
/targetlasttarget
Then, when you go into the fight, click on
Zealot Lor'Khan
first to have her be the first target. Then attack the two others, and when you see her starting to heal, hit your interrupt macro. This could also be useful if you accidentally kill someone and they start to rez them.

Duo'd it tonight few minutes ago. Lvl 73 protection paladin and me 80 resto shaman.
Died the first time because Thekal knocked us into the axe throwers, which at that point I was running on a steady 2k mana and couldnt handle constant interuptions.
A good tip for people trying to duo or even solo is to pull him back into the cages in area, worked wonders for us completed him on our second try took approximately 30mins.
I would say that it would possibly be duo able by two lvl 75's.
But by that point you may aswell take a third and turn 50/50 into 3-way chance on the loot.

A few people have noticed a change in Thekal's behavior since patch 3.1, as did I. It might take a slightly longer amount of time, but it is still possible to bug him out and force him into phase 2. I don't use the stump method to accomplish this, however. I just run him down the ramp onto the main road where he will reset. If you run back up onto the ramp and attack him while he's resetting, it is possible to bug him out. This may be an easier option for some people if the stump method doesn't seem to be working.

As a Frost Dk this is abit time consuming, but very easy, just target the healer, and start to dps him, interupting his heals. Use your few but useful "aoe" (howling blast, DoD and others) to slowly burn down the other two. Heal yourself as needed.
When the healer dies, just start dps:ing on of the others till they res the healer, switch back to the healer, interupt and aoe, he will die again, start dpsing the one you didnt dps earlier until they res him again. Repeat until phaze two.
The nice thing about this tactic is that its easy to controll the overall Hp of all the mobs, if both the other two, if they go to low when the healer is ressed, just dont use aoe till they are all on the same hp.

Ok for all those frustrated paladins out there trying to solo this, I've got some tips on an effective method that is (mostly) guaranteed to work.
After trying for about 45mins as prot spec and being extremely unlucky with the silences and resulting heals, got frustrated and gave it an angry go as ret...and killed all three first try in almost 5 minutes.
The key is to force Zealot Lor'Khan to continuously heal herself and not her allies. Her behavior is such that she will almost always heal herself if she is below 50%, even if her allies are much lower than that.
Use seal of light and judgement of light (on Lor'Khan), as this will be more than enough to keep you topped off. Then just keep DPSing her down (but don't kill her) and use Divine Storm and consecration every time they are up. You will damage the other two constantly at around the same rate, but the focused attacks on Lor'Khan will ensure that she will prioritize healing herself instead of her dying partners.
Once Thekal and Zath are around 5% health, switch to seal of blood/martyr, pop your wings and time your next divine storm to kill them both simultaneously. When they die stun Lor'Khan and if she is below 50%, your wings and your continued DPS should be more than enough to finish her off.
Some things of note:
My gear is decent, not Ulduar quality but naxx 25 grade...however I'm entirely positive that this can be done with even entry level 80 gear.
Don't bother silencing or preventing heals, she will heal about once every 25 seconds, and Thekal silences more frequently than that....preventing you from effectively silencing.
The silences will prevent most of your skills from being used, but not your Crusader Strike and Divine Storm as they are physical abilities, keep this in mind.
Divine Plea should be kept up at all times since consecration tends to chew up mana.
Sacred Shield (esp talented) will help, but not mandatory. I found myself forgetting to refresh it quite a bit, and didnt drop below 75%.
If you get unlucky and she heals one of her partners, don't freak out...simply adapt to the situation and switch to the newly healed target until he is at around the same rate as the other unit you want to kill him with. May want to control your AoE damage if this happens and also stun Lor'Khan to help you catch up.
His phase two is a joke. Just burn him down.
I hope this helps, and happy tiger farming!

I found the perfect hunter soloing tactic. It is soo easy you cannot believe it.
1. Clear the axe throwers around for safety.
2. Put your tenacity pet right below the arch on top of the ramp. (Leave him at passive.)
3. Cast MD on your pet.
4. Get in range of the boss. Shot him with an autoshot.
5. Disengage and shoot your arcane shot. This will direct the agro to pet.
6. Boss will be advancing to your pet.
7. Other adds will be on you. You may use deterrence and backpedal and go to the right side.
8. FD.
9. Click attack button of your pet so he engages Thekal.
10. Rise from feigning and engage the boss as he directly goes to tiger phase.
Note: I tried it and got it to work twice. But at the first time i couldnt get the boss to go direcly to phase 2. But the adds were resetted and back to their initial position so getting him to phase 2 alone takes little time. I guess the first time when he did not direcly go to phase 2 my pet was not under the arch but a little more inside.
Edit: I tried 2 more times and i still couldnt force the boss into tiger form directly. But the adds never ceased to bug and reset as soon as i hit FD.

I've been soloing Thekal for a few weeks now on the off chance that the mount will drop, I havent been lucky enough to get it yet but hopefully one day...
I use a T7/7.5 geared Frost-tank spec DK, in Blood Presence, for this fight and have had no trouble with it.
I make my way to behind his cage, then Howling Blast the Rogue add (Zath?) and it pulls all 5 mobs, yes 5 you have 2 tigers at the start.
After pulling, quickly run back behind the cage and put your back against the wall, with your side against a pillar this way they cant hit you from the side and have to stand directly infront of you. Tigers should be dead from AoE after first rotation.
Using a normal AoE tanking rotation interrupt where possible the healers heals til you get Thekal and Zath to approximately 10% each, but make sure you keep DeathChill free!
Move to the healer and go to single target tanking rotation, her heals take a while to cast so make sure you have "View Targets Cast Bar" on and bring her down, when she gets to 15% wait for her to start healing, interrupt the heal and summon your Army of the Dead.
Once Army of the Dead has been summoned, use Deathchill and then Howling Blast (instant 6k Crit on each mob), Death and Decay and Blood Boil Spam. The Three should drop quickly and then "Tiger" phase begins.
When in "Tiger" Phase make sure you are nestled inbetween the back wall and the pillar so his Force Punch? wont knock you back, it also keeps the tiger adds ontop of you and they will die quickly from diseases and Howling blast.
Overall the fight takes about 10minutes if you miss a few interrupts. Easily worth the 25g~ and chance at a tiger mount :)
*Extra hints for DK's struggling, make sure you have 2 diseases on each target so you can hit with a Death Strike for a little boost of health, Bring some Corpse Dust so you can summon/sacrifice a ghoul for a bonus 12k hp. Keep Icebound Fortitude up when possible and Unbreakable Armor (glyphed unsure about not) will absorb all damage from these attacks which is very handy.

Solo'ed as a feral druid, fairly easily. I didn't even bother to look up how the fight worked (which would have saved me alot of headache!), and still managed to one shot this np. After realizing that all 3 mobs needed to die at once, it was fairly simple.
Keep mangle and laceratex5 up on each mob. Show nameplates so you can see their health bars and track their progress easily. I focused mostly on the healer, as I can only interrupt 1 spell per minute, so I did more damage to her to compensate for her healing herself.
When all 3 mobs are around 15-20% hp, pop berserk, and mangle spam like mad. Keep an eye on the healer and be ready to bash a heal. After phase 1, phase 2 is a joke. Pop out and heal while he's rezzing and changing, pop back in, and proceed to faceroll.
Use cooldowns early and often. The fight can go really long if you mess up and allow a couple rezzes. I used barkskin all the time, along with my trinket CDs. Save SI+FR for when you get in real trouble (if it ever comes to that).
If done properly (aka not how I did it my first time!), this fight takes on a few minutes (I feel bad for the pallies taking an hour to do this fight *sadface*)

I tried the running out and resetting bug today (6/04, patch 3.1.3) a few times. The first three times all the mobs would simply reset. The fourth time however, they stayed on me no matter how far I ran outside of the tiger area. Hakkar would yell every time I passed over the point where they usually reset. Ended up just killing them normally as an 80 UH DK tank without much trouble.

I had no troubles soloing Thekal with a Bloodthirst + Protection build. I used Commanding Shout for the little bit of extra healing to Bloodthirst, it heals me for +650 per tick with a mix of heroic and Naxx25 gear. This is more than enough to heal though damage from the three. By using no dots / refelective damage I could use Thunderclap + cleave (glyphed) until one was close to dead (I had the rogue at 3k) then switch to single target only damage spells. A final cleave + thunderclap and they're all dead at once.
This was my first foray into ZG and I managed to down Tiger, Raptor, Spider, Snake and Panther bosses without wiping. I haven't attempted Jin'do or Hakkar yet. I'd highly recommend a 0/31/40 or 5/31/35 build if you're going to make a habit of soloing ZG as a warrior.
This. Using a 0/31/40 spec makes this fight ridiculous easy. I posted a similar tactic for the build on Mandokir's board. Here's the spec I use.
https://www.wowhead.com/cata/talent#LZGxxox0u0xoZMItdx0dibI:0Lb0zM
For this fight, simply dps them all down, continually using BT. It's a very short cooldown. By the time it starts to fall behind, you can use Last Stand and Enraged Regen. I use Commanding Shout as well for even more health and regen. Medallion of Heroism also helps. Bloodthirst will keep your health up enough that ER and LS will be off CD when you need them again.
Also make and use the macro
/tar Zealot Lor'khan
/cast shield bash
Before the fight, make Lor a focus and you will see every time she tries to heal. Very useful when your targetting someone else. When she starts to heal, simply hit that macro and she won't get off one heal. It's almost too easy for warriors to solo this boss now with this spec.
Make sure to keep Demo Shout and Thunderclap up the whole time.

Very easy as bear tank with mostly Naxx25 gear with a few Ulduar i219 pieces, 31k health, 28k armor, 40% dodge self buffed. Basically as bear, your SD shield and ILotP heals makes you nearly invulnerable to the damage, the hard part is switching bosses and coordinating damage to bring them down. With almost no interrupts (bash sucks) for the heals, you have to tab to each one and make sure they are close enough together in health, then Berserk them with mangles once they all get low enough for the final kill. It took me 5 tries to finally bring them all down together (long fight with all the resses), but I never dropped below 26k health the entire fight.
Mount didn't drop, ofcourse.

Soloed earlier as a prot warrior, Strongblood on US Steamwheedle Cartel if you want to armory me. Only buffs were my Commanding Shout and a 40 crit 40 stamina food. Total health was around 30k, with my block % of 28 and a 202 block rating.
Confirmed that pulling Lor'Khan out, killing her and resetting it still works as of 7/10/09. No mount dropped though.
Basically what I did:
1. Cleared the right-side group of tigers and axe throwers (what fun).
2. Pulled Lor'Khan to the bottom of the ramp, killed her and ran outside to reset the 2 others. (KIlled a patrolling berserker so that he didn't mess anything up).
3. Lor'Khan did not reset, and I was able to kill Thekal and Zath within the 15 sec time limit with no problems.
I used Shield Wall early, so that I could have it again for when he enraged, but actually I killed him in less than 5 minutes so I didn't need it :P Used my Enraged Regeneration and Last Stand when I dipped below 70%. Between Phases 1 and 2 I popped a quick bandage to top me off, and got through the rest of it with 71% health to spare. Much easier than Mandokir, as I was only getting him down to 30% before I died.
The hardest part of this boss was actually killing the trash outside haha.

I'm a dps dk and I will always go down with a dk tank friend to farm for both the raptor and the tiger, since I want raptor and he wants tiger. For the tiger boss, he'll keep the high priest and rogue busy, popping a blood tap and gift of the naruu here and there, and I'll dps down the shaman, interrupting when she glows all gold, which is pretty easy to spot, at around 10% I'll jump to the rogue (but keeping an eye on shaman and interrupting and all times) and once the rouges down to about 10% the high priest will already have been down by the tank. Then a simple burst (We generally pop an AotD) and burn down the tiger giant person. My opinion, if you can interrupt, this is easy, not, get someone who can.
*edit* I'm poorly geared only able to do naxx 10, tank is in uldaur or close to

On the other hand, I soloed this boss as Retribution on my first try, though be forewarned, it is fairly gear dependent and will test you immensely. It is not by any means a walk in the park and you may need to pop all CDs.
First off, most Retribution pallies only have Hammer of Justice on a 60 sec CD, so you can only interrupt the healer once per minute. You must largely DPS through his heals.
Also... use Seal of Light. It was healing me ~750 per attack, even if it does gimp your dps a lot. Judgement of light helps immensely as well. Divine Storm can heal for up to 8k with these two abilities, and your normal attacks will heal for ~1200-1400. Since you are silenced for a large part of the fight, and gouged for another large part, it will be hard to get casted heals off.
A PVP trink can help as well, to escape gouge if you desperately need healing
Use Divine Storm every CD, unless you need mana (you shouldnt). Keep Sacred Shield up and try to pop instant FoLs. You'll need as much healing as possible, and sometimes Seal and Judgement of Light won't cut it. Try to time instant flashes while you have the Sacred Shield proc up.
Finally, as you lower the group's health to almost zero, you may want to save a Hammer of Justice and PVP trink CD/Divine Shield CD. If you get gouged/silenced and the shammy starts to heal, pop bubble or the pvp trink and interrupt, then finish them off.
You've won once you get to phase 2, it's just the boss minus the adds, and it's super easy.
Rabbitkiller, Ret Pally on Lothar-US, mostly naxx 10-25 gear, no blues
https://www.wowhead.com/cata/profile=us.lothar.rabbitkiller
Edit: tried him again with much better gear, he wasn't a pushover, but I didn't have nearly as much trouble with him. If you can't kill him, it's more likely than not a matter of gear.
Edit 2: tried again in 3.3, and good gear makes this a trivial fight with the above tactices. Seal of Light and Judgement of Light were nearing 2000 healing per attack in a mix of 232-264 gear, and Flash of Light was critting for 5k. In short, this fight is not hard with current gear levels.

Affliction lock. This was pretty hard for me, particularly figuring out how to reliably get him to transform.
Got him to 8k health in tiger form today before I died, god that made me so mad. AoE fearing the tigers helped, though. I think I would have been better off using my VW's sac shield after killing the first two tigers and then dropping my infernal right off the bat.
Oh well, at least I have two more days to keep trying. I'm confident I can do it with some more practice, I mean I almost managed to do it today on my first time in ZG.

Been trying this fight for hours on my resto druid tonight and just can't seem to reliably interrupt heals to ever get a kill. I can go for hours healing without running oom, but just can't get a kill with the priest healing.
Switch to bear and bash is the only thing quick enough to get off an interrupt before the heal goes off, but the 1 min cd on bash is too long before another heal goes off.
Switching to cat for a maim (if you build up combo points in between) takes too long to build up the energy to maim before the heal so that is off the table unless you can predict it and go cat early. I actually almost got this working by just going cat form all the time between hotting myself, but even then, there will always be that time where the priest starts healing while you are in caster form and you just can't get back into cat quickly enough to interrupt.
Are there any interrupts I'm missing, or do I just have to suck it up and respec into
Furor
every time I want to solo this boss? Unfortunately my dual specs are taken up with pve/pvp resto specs.

Followup to a previous attempt, affliction lock.
Tried the stump again for about 5 min until I got fed up. The adds always took forever to reaggro me (if they did at all), even if I was right on top of them.
So I dragged him out of the "building" and despawned his adds first try, sac shield, dropped infernal and grinded him down. Only hard part was when he frenzies; hits really hard. Save your instant healing (DC, healthstone) for frenzy, and burn his ass down asap when he does it.
Im wondering if switching to demon armor right before frenzy would help much, but I didn't think to try it.

Resto/feral druid. I'm in mainly offspec feral Naxx-25 gear with an Ulduar-25 staff. I wanted to see how this fight varied from a simple tank and spank and not much does. As a previous poster, sarge816 indicated, you can simply single target dps them down in bear form ignoring all heals and focussing mainly on keeping the primary healer (Zealot Lor'Khan) pinned below 30k hp. Get the other two below 30k hp and then go Berserk and Mangle them all to death. Even if your Berserk runs out before they are dead, Swipe is enough to finish them all off, phase 1 down. Phase 2 is simple tank and spank with some adds easily ignored and finished off last in bear form after boss is dead.

One thing not mentioned in any of the comments here is that you can mana burn the healer down to 0, upon which no one can heal. Since mana burn takes off a percent of mana, it takes about 10 to do it, but after that you can just watch their mana and burn them if it gets back up to about 200 (that seemed to be the amount where they'd try and recast). This made dual boxing it with a prot paladin about 500 times easier, since from there it's simply a matter of making sure you kill the other two without accidentally killing the healer with aoe.

It's also worth noting that as a hunter you can use your
Aimed Shot
just before he dies the first time, so that when he resurrects as a tiger he'll still have the debuff and only resurrect with half health instead of full.
I'm guessing that similar abilities like a shadowpriests
Improved Mind Blast
will work in the same way and make him resurrect with 90% health instead of full in the shadowpriests case :)
Edit: Info not up to date.

Brutal Impact
and didn't even need to do the runback/charge maneuver. Also, I don't know if it was noted before but sometime in phase II, the trash right before the boss comes running in so you might want to clear the axe throwers, etc beforehand.

Easy soloable by ret paladins aswell, just keep rolling sacred shield on yourself and instant FoL when not silenced or mortal striked. Keep dmg even among the three, retribution aura is a given. Save your stun for lor'khan when they are all low.
I tried this first with an avg itemlvl of about 213 and didnt have any problems. Its propably doable with less.

If you're trying to solo this as a pally tank, and you're getting upset; here are a few things you could try.
First is equipping a voice amplification model to reduce silence duration.
Second is get aura mastery from the holy tree, this talent will allow you to become immune to silence effects for 10 seconds.
Third is using the glitch. This might take a while to get right but what you have to do is engage the boss and run to the tree stump to the left of where you enter the tiger area. As soon as he goes to reset you have to catch up and reengage him without dismounting. Then you run back to the tree stump. You have to do this 3 times then he should go into tiger form and his adds will despawn. Kill and loot easy as that.

More of a warning, then a guide 'how to' :
I talked to a GM about the 'cheesing' of this boss. Yes, it might seem like one is not to talk to GM's about glitches, bugs ect a boss can have, but ppl and guilds have been banned because they did something that was not intended to be done to defeat a boss. So asking if this is OK to do something to defeat a boss in a
different way then intended
is not really that far fetched.
Anyone remember Void Reaver in The Eye? At the time of release(hmm..long time ago) I would not have thought that Mind Controling an add to fight the boss(with the raid) would be a bannable offence, just a creative way to do it, but it turned out to be just that. So the ability to MC the bomber NPC was removed, not long after a guild got banned for doing it. The ban was only a week, if I recall correctly.
This is what Blizzard calls an 'Exploit'. I like to call this 'Sloppy Work' by Blizzard. Imo, anything one can do to defeat a boss without doing anything like scripting, direct cheats, changing code ect is OK for me. If by jumping on a ledge and a mob can't hit you, that is not 'our problem', is it? Look at the achievements for dungeons in WotLK. You need to do those bosses in different ways then just a tank and spank like it often is. And many have actually done so called exploits on the WotLK bosses not thinking the method they chose was an exploit. There is ofc that feeling, 'Did we really defeat this boss as intended' to concider...but there is no official Blizzard Guide on how to defeat a Boss. The rule is
if you think you are doing an exploit, then you are
. This does sound odd to me
My post might get very long, and some might not get it, but the 'Tiger Boss' has
MANY
bugs, and it is possible to make him change in a number of ways into Phase 2, without even hitting him. Many of the different methods to make the boss enter directly into P2 have been changed, but most cannot, because of the way Blizzard has coded the old WoW, vanilla WoW. If ZG is still here in the next expansion, most likely all ways of bending the game mechanics on 'Tiger Boss' will be gone.
Some of the 'different ways' to change the Tiger Boss or alter his HP are discovered by chance, like a hunter pet Thunderstomping the boss on the path out and adds + Thekal changes(this has been fixed), a hunters Aimed Shot(and serpent sting perhaps) making the boss enter at 50%(not fixed), lock teleporting away(or what its called) and boss getting too far from his adds(might still work), or a mage blinking at the right time(don't really know if this has been fixed).
The most common exploit with riding and jumping on a treestump without him or adds being able to hit you(are they stooopid, why can't they hit you?) and he finally changes into P2, still works. There, I said it. But this is cheesing the mechanics, and is not the intended way to defeat this boss(DOH!) and can be a bannable offence. And not recomended. And further more, Blizzard considers it also to be a bannable offence to say, broadcast this method in trade.
Instead of searching for ways to bend, exploit, cheese out the game, try the challenge of soloing the boss. For some classes it is very easy, others a true challenge. If you cannot solo Thekal, try with a mate or two, form a steady team and keep at it. ZG resets every 3 days, so u get 2 goes a week.
I go 2 times a week with a mate. Tank and DPS. No exploits, boss down in 5sec flat. Still no drop. Same with 'Raptor Boss'. Come to think of it, 'Raptor Boss' also has many ways to defeat 'not intended'.....
Good luck, and good hunting

I just solo'd this boss as an 80 Warrior in not-so-great tank gear (my MS is arms, tank gear is ~3.6k in gear score, 30.3k HP with CS) without any glitching. I used a weird build that I came up with in order to solo the raptor boss and figured I'd give this boss a go too. The build is 5/31/35 with the improved bloodthirst glyph AND (very importantly for this fight) the cleave glyph (hits an extra target - making it 3).
This boss doesn't hurt that much and I actually killed him on the first shot, however I initially went in with the plan to kill both the adds then finish off Thekal, forgetting that Thekal resurrects them. It is very easy to lock Lor'Khan out of healing the entire time with shield bash alone, and you've still got concussion blow if you need it for whatever reason. I got all 3 down to around 8-10k health, then went nuts with cleave and managed to drop them all at the same time.
The second phase is the easy part. If you fight up near where Thekal is before you pull, just stand with your back to the hill/cliff on the right hand side and keep yourself up by using Bloodthirst every cooldown and spam cleave when adds appear. When he enrages you might want to pop shield wall or enraged regen but he still doesn't hit that hard so you probably won't need it.
If there's interest I'll record a video of it next week (and Mandokir too).

For those warlocks out there just remember to watch the timer on your portal.... was going really well until it ran out lol
(For those too lazy to find info using the wall teleport strat)
1. Mana drain the healer (anything above 2% and she can heal)
2. Keep pet stationary so you can control its movements
3. When in 2nd phase, remember to jump down off the wall for you can be knocked out of the area and reset the fight
It's all about kiting the adds.... when they get close u jump down. By that time your pet is out of its stun and able to regain threat. Then you teleport back up. Rinse repeat.
Get's quite easy after a few tries, even if it is a bit boring to do so over and over and over and over (etc)
GOOD LUCK!

Solo'ed him today on my 80 hunter,
Very long and Tricky fight
Guide for Soloing with Hunters only
The best way to solo it
(as a hunter)
is to be a BM specced hunter and let your pet tank while you heal your pet, it also helps a lot if you have
to heal your pet more.
During the fight its best to take the 2 tigers out first as they only have around 9k Hp, a thing that caused me to fail quite a lot was Thekal's mortal cleave ability, which did high damage and Halved healing to my pet, the best way to get around it is as soon as the Debuff on your pet is over Heal It again, this way theres a lower chance of your pet dying
During the fight if you should take any Aggro if your pet gets stunned ETC, its best to maintain that a little while so that you can heal your pet then when you think your pet has enough health just Feign Death
Another thing that was annoying was the healing, The best way to stop this is to use a gorilla with the Pummel ability and when you see her about to heal you spam the ability to stop her.
When thekal silience's you ( which makes it impossible to heal) the only way around this is to stay as far away as possilble but to still be in range of your pet and be able to attack.
Just repeat this process and it should slowly grind away their health also! make sure you take them down at the same time other they get ress'd with full health, its best to get them down to about 25-30% then switch to another boss, While still stopping heals.
Phase 2 is easy compared to phase 1 as you now only have to tank one mob, When tigers spawn you can jsut Feign Death and get your pet to take aggro.
Also most of my gear is a mix of tier 9 and a few Uld drops
and i had health of about 19k with my pets health about 17k
another thing it took me many tries to do this and i'm still trying for the mount I'll update this if it drops any time soon. :D
Happy hunting :)

I found it easier to use a Voidwalker. My build is a 3/53/15 raid build, so I don't even have Demonic Resilience of Improved Health Funnel.
Pull with your Voidwalker and have him use Demonic Empowerment + Suffering to get aggro on everything. Start him on Zath and have him get 100k+ threat on him, though you'll have to switch to the other two a couple times to not pull with Health Funnel When he gets Gouged, you can use Meta as a precautionary measure.
Once you have Zath finished threat-wise, put your Void on follow and run around a bit until the mobs get somewhat separated. Position your Void so Zath is behind him and you'll never have him gouged. Start building threat on Lor'khan after Zath. Once you get 100k+ on her with your Void, move to Thekal.
While your Void is getting threat, keep him at 75% HP so you don't get screwed from Blind + Silence. Drain Mana Lor'khan while you're doing this as well, assuming your Void is topped off. Also, use Demonic Empowerment when it's up, and Suffering when you get silenced or blinded and your Void is a bit low.
Once your Voidwalker has lots of threat on all three and Lor'khan's mana is gone, start to weaken them all down to around 20k. Your Voidwalker should have Thekal pretty low by himself if you've left him on him after threat. Use Soulshatter if you need. Once they are all low, DoT them up, pop Metamorphosis + Immolation Aura, and charge into them. Make sure they are all really low, before doing this, don't try to just burn one while AoEing the others with Immolation Aura, otherwise you'll probably get silenced or blinded and have one rez. It took me a couple rezzed before I realized this.
Once P2 begins, make sure you're positioned somewhere you won't get knocked into trash. I had this happen to me, and I died with him at 30k.
Also, don't be stupid and let your pet die. I died once because of it, and almost again when all three mobs were weak. Luckily, I was able to kill them all with Metamorphosis, instant summon a new pet for P2 and live long enough for my Void to pull off me with Drain Life.

for Warlocks
You have to keep aggro with ur pet, 3 mobs who, silence you , blind you, and doing Mortal strike on ur pet. At the same time you need to dps them all the same, because they need to die betwen 10 seconds of eachother.
i gave up at the 5th try. It can be done, but its far beyond from difficult

Only way to solo this as boomkin atm I THINK is to run around the gate, run like a 8 and put up insect swarm and hot up with reju and lifebloom and travel form. The healer doesn't start to heal em before they are below like 50% and when he start, u have to have the boss lowest since it's much easier to keep that guy out of los since the other guy is slower (your typhoon cancels the cast but he almost always start to heal again, emergency buttom! Thougt u will be silenced when u need it). Summon treants and use starfall.. and sometimes with full health u can go into boomkin and dps some.
Keep them out of sight and dps them down slow then nuke them down boss first and then nuke down the last hp on the healer (like 40k) and done. Never got em though, tried for 1 hour and lowest health was 10k hp on boss, rogue and 40k on the healer but then i failed:( This should work but it's nowhere close to a "good way" but the only way i think should work. Did this with healing gear though and would be much easier if they didnt resist:(
GLHF^^ get some mates there instead much easier and much faster:)

It appears that it is no longer possible to bug Thekal into P2 using the stump trick. Jumping onto a stump while you have aggro will now cause you to teleport to Thekal's position.

New comment for 3.3
the "stump" no longer works and will tele you right on top of the boss once you become unattackable.
However this boss is still solo-able. Here's how i did it as a BM hunter.
Pet-turtle
Spec-BM
Gear- FULL resil gear(deadly glad)
just spam med pet and use cower when your pet gets mortal strike on him.
stay in viper until P2 where the boss transforms to the tigerman.
drain the shammy(female add) of mana slowly while dmging the 2 adds evenly (just AA if your want to) once the shammy is OOM keep her that way, then is easy mode. Volly spam until the adds die.
Then the fight goes into P2 which is again easy mode for hunters to solo.
The fight takes longer to do now but is still pretty easy.

Is it just me or this glitch apparently has been silently fixed on this last patch? I just keep being teleported to melee range on boss when I try to do the stump glitch.

Very easy to solo as enhancement shaman 226+ ilevel geared, should even be doable with less if carefully executed.
/Focus on the healer (Zealot Lor'Khan) and, using a target focus macro, interrupt her cast as soon as you can to avoid getting silenced mid-cast. Get every target down to 20-25%, keep dropping Magma Totem and using Fire Nova, and switch target when needed. I'd strongly suggest that you blow Feral Spirit and Bloodlust on first phase, as it's the most intense of the two.
Reaching phase 2 pretty much guarantees a win. Spend your Maelstrom Weapon stacks on Healing Wave and blow Shamanistic Rage when at 20-ish % mana.
Enjoy your random vanilla drops and useless tokens, and return in 3 days to repeat in hope of actually getting the mount (I'm personally running ZG semi-regularly since April and have yet to see a trace of it).

80 bear tank, 5000 gearscore, really easy to solo, just slow, deal with the heals they won't do much other then delay he inevitable, mangle/faeriefire/lacerate the top hp mob (usually the recently healed) while spamming swipe more when they hp is more equal, try and keep them equal alot and bounce around your targets. not too bad.
glyph of maul helps with multitarget dps down, but most of all you're just gonna pop berzerk when they're all in low health (save maul for here so you don't need to dps though a single mob wishing they don't rez the others before you take her down, don't make this fight any longer then it needs to be :P )
sure, not that fighting for a long time isn't fun, it's just, seeing droprates is potentially much more fun :)

80 Enhancement Shaman in mostly ilvl 232 gear.
I ran in and dropped Earth Elemental, Magma, Healing, Windfury Totems. Lightning Shield.
Popped Ghost Wolves and then Heroism... tab targetted to bring them down evenly. By the time ghost wolves and hero was down, they were all around 7-8k hp. Finished them off easily enough.
Phase two is basic tank and spank so build maelstrom up and heal as necessary.

Soloed as lvl80 Demo/Afflic warlock (Siphon Life & Felguard)
First stage I start handing off SoC to 3-4 mobs (gets tiger down and initial dmg) and send Felguard on Thekal, then get him to switch to the rogue-add. Didnt find the need to tank the shaman one.
Keeping Corruption on all 3 mobs, I mana-drain the shaman and then dot them and kills them. Seems I could last this for a very long while.
Once dead, its tank&spank with the silly kitteh

Solo'd as a blood tank-spec DK.
after about 10 minutes of sad groans of "FFUUUUUU ALMOST HAD IT" I got it. No mount, though! Maybe next time, tis my first time doing it ;)
What I did:
Brang them out to the open area; easier to see
AOE AOE AOE AOE AOE. For DKs, that's aids and the occasional DnD. Blood Boil isn't worth it.
Get them to low hp. Maybe.. 10-20k hp, pref one will have <10k. Don't kill any of them before they are low. Getting there is kind of annoying.
Nuke them. Use ghoul, army, throw lots of offensive CDs.
I wasn't able to interrupt their res/heal.. not sure if it's possible.
Their res takes 1 second at most to cast and they will res after one add is dead for around 10 seconds. Only of them heals, I believe. That should be the one you nuke first.
Oh yeah, don't die.

This boss is soloable by many classes but I can tell you all from experience that it's a lot easier if you're a class with pets. The reason behind this is because you may eat a gouge while a heal is being cast. The more targets there are, the less likely you'll get gouged. The best way to deal with the heal is to setup an interrupt macro for focus (where you focus Zealot Lor'Khan):
example
/cast wind shear
Make sure they all die around the same time and you'll be past the difficult part of the encounter.

solo´d on an affliction lock/ no gimpgaurd. average ilvl 232, 1 pvp item, rest pve gear.
i made about 15 attempts, until i got it. in this fight you have to out last them. have your void out, use demon armor, and keep curse of weakness and siphon life/corruption up on them all time this way you and your pet take some less damage and when you get gauged they stop attacking you and the siphon life ticks you full again. use sac. shield as much as you can especially when you get a bad sequence of cc´s, scilences, and push backs and are low on hp.
first is you have to pull them out of the building, press pet attack, as soon as he aggros press follow and then attack again once their in front of the stairs. then CoW on everyone and kill the tigers as fast as you can, use shadowflame for a quick dps burst, if you dont kill them fast enough they will get healed. have your void attack the melee zelot because he has more hp. and drain the other zelots mana as fast as you can. and keep an eye on your pets health, dont let him get lower than 40%. if you get too low on health drain if needed. so in between cc´s dot them, if you have time drain some health for yourself, or some mana from the healer, or funnel your pet if needed. the dot should evenly kill them once the healer is oom and then just pop a shadowflame and they´re dead. keep an eye on all their hp and switch your pet to the one who has more to make sure they die evenly.
phase 2 was easy. cow, full dot, and drain.
once you get through phase 1 you win. on my last attempt i didnt use my hs and didnt use a health pot because i spent them on my previous attempts. maybe it was luck, the cc´s are pretty random, if you get cc´d too many times right after another and go 20-30 sec without being able to cast a spell you´ll probably die. btw i have glyph of quick decay, that might have helped get hp ticks faster, idk. it might be a good idea to clear the trash right before the bosses little yard, on 2 attempts i targeted and doted one by accident and pulled a pack and died.

Using bladestorm straight off the bat gets the little tigers down and knocks a chunk of health from all 3 of them, then switch to zerker stance for pummel on the heals.
We normally have to do 2 interrupts total before P2, due to me always wanting to make 100% sure that they all go down together.
2 kills so far and no mounts, but we're gonna keep trying

When they were all down to around 15k, I laid a snake trap and explosive trap, then started the volley. Very easy. Just had pet tank the tiger dude when he spawned. Bugged for me today. I've soloed this boss several, several times. Having the tiger mount for me and a friend (working on my wife's now). Would go in, and they would all die within 2~ seconds of each other, but while they were dead i would still see damage numbers appearing on my screen. A few seconds would pass, and they would all just resurrect 1 by 1. So, i thought maybe i was too slow, called in the wife. They died at the EXACT same time, same thing, a few seconds pass they all rez. Put in a ticket, we'll see what Blizzard says.

Soloed as a Frost Tank DK. It was pretty intense lol. It was definitely trickier because i wasn't blood and my Death Strike wasn't as effective. Otherwise there wasn't much to it other than make SURE to interrupt heals (pretty easy even for me, i'm very bad at interrupts.). I happened to be unlucky enough to where they rezzed so they extended the fight quite a bit. Use blood tap and eat your summoned ghoul in case of emergency
I doubt that i've contributed anything worthwhile in this post but i guess i was proud of myself killing him on my first attempt ever soloing a boss like that.

Took me about a minute to solo this as ret paladin. Just used seal of light/judgement of light (probably could've used command or SoV. I didn't cast flash of light once.) I just got priest down to 30%, switched targets again at 30% and by the time I got the 3rd down to 30 the rest were about to die, just popped wings and killed. If they heal during it and you aren't ready to kill them all, just only use single target attacks.
Simple.

So, I soloed him on my rogue.
Preparation
Equipment: You need superb gear to pull this off; I'm wearing 4/5 T10 with a bunch of good offset to go with it; 5200 AP, 42% crit, and 40% dodge. The trinket "Battlemaster's Rage" (or any similar click to gain temporary health trinket) is also extremely useful. Finally, a pair of weapons enchanted with Lifeward. Yes, I'm serious. Standard instant poison mainhand/deadly poison offhand loadout.
Spec: 20/51/0 combat.
Macros: Setting your focus to Lor'khan and having a /cast Kick macro is helpful, but so long as you're able to swap targets and kick the heal, it is not strictly necessary.
Other stuff: At the very minimum, Drums of Forgotten Kings & Runescroll of Fortitude, as well as a healing potion (healing pot injector if you're an engineer, for the bigger heal) and a bandage. Flask of Stoneblood for extra HP and Potion of Speed for extra DPS couldn't hurt either...in fact, if you have bored friends around, visit them and get them to buff you. I did it with just Drums & Runescroll though, and was at just shy of 28k HP.
The fight
Clear the rest of the room first, just in case. Be mindful of axe throwers, as even at 80 they can mess you up bad; if you sap one, you can easily kill the other two before they start spinning. Remember, they can be stunned.
Stealth up behind the three trolls. If you really want to, use Distract so you can get behind Thekal himself, but it's not necessary. I opened on Lor'khan with a garrote for a CP to put up S&D and went to work. Immediately blow Blade Flurry (plus other cooldowns if you have them such as Hyperspeed Accelerators, Berserking, Blood Fury or any clicky trinkets you have), and hit killing spree. That will take care of the two tigers and put a dent in their collective HP. As soon as Killing Spree ends, use Adrenaline Rush & Evasion, swap to Thekal and continue DPSing. As always, keep S&D up. Swap as necessary to interrupt and bring them all low, and once you have them down to 20k or so, finish them off. Ideally, you save your healing potion and (if you have one) your Battlemaster trinket.
If all goes well, you hit phase 2. You will have a brief respite, use it to bandage up. At this point you have no more cooldowns except your potion and trinket, so the race is on. Just dps him down with a normal combat cycle and pray he doesn't crit you too many times. Killing Spree and other short cooldowns will be up so be sure to use them once they're available.
Why Lifeward instead of Berserking? It healed me for nearly 7k over the course of the fight. I still ended the fight at just over 2k HP. I'm fairly certain that the extra DPS from Berserking can't match that.
Things I haven't tried: Stuns. Pretty sure they don't work, so not worth trying. Disarming Thekal, especially in phase 2: Didn't try it, but it might be worth it to see if it lowers his DPS.
Oh and just read this in older comments.
It's also worth noting that as a hunter you can use your Aimed Shot just before he dies the first time, so that when he resurrects as a tiger he'll still have the debuff and only resurrect with half health instead of full.
So add "wound poison instead of Instant Poison" to things to try, I guess, as this would make phase 2 considerably easier.

I've been successfully soloing this boss as a Druid Tank. The only difficult aspect is killing all of the adds and Thekal at the same time.
I also ran this on my mage(arcane) with a resto druid. I can assure you that even though I pull serious dps with T-10 gear, arcane is not effective for this fight. I was continually silenced and stunned. The fight was unbearable. When we re-engaged for a second try, I switched to my fire spec and used dots and aoe successfully. Living bomb, dragon's breath and flamestrike ensure that mobs get, for the most part, an equal amount of damage.

As a lvl 80 prot paly, you don't need to worry about staying alive AT ALL.
Greater sanctuary and seal of light alone will pretty much keep your health and mana bars full all the time (I'm actually writing this while alt+tabbed, during the fight).
I've spent the last 70 minutes (and on) at this one single attempt on this. (Yes, I was pretty bored).
Problem with this fight is: As a prot paly, you don't have many options on interrupts, and Lor'khan will throw greater heals every 30 seconds or so, healing the target to almost full. As a BE paladin, you'd also have arcane torrent, which is another interrupt. Still, both of those are spells, and you're also gonna get silenced constantly, making your interrupts unavailable during 4 seconds. That being said, you can't effectively prevent them from healing, and thus making the fight take, >>literally<<, hours.
Lor'khan has about 20k mana, but the heals only take like 200 points, and her mana bar goes down really, REALLY slowly. I figure the only way to get this done is actually waiting for her mana to run out. (I'm going to update this when the fight is over and i find out what happens).
Best i've got so far was killing both priests while thekal himself had like 10% left, so i guess it's possible to make it if you time your interrupts right and get the damage to be more or less equal to all of them, which i was unable to do.
I've also got lag working against me. The whole fight i've been facing 1200+MS which make interrupts take one second + to land.
My advice is, if you're a prot paly, get a rogue friend to come and make things 600% easier.
Even if i do get to kill them, this is CERTAINLY something I won't be doing again.
EDIT:
Waiting for the mana to run out actually didn't work at all. She still regenerates mana quick enough to keep healing. The delay on the heals, if any, was very very short.
I managed to kill him only when i finally got to get them all dead at the same time.

Almost impossible as a prot pally. Thekal will have you silenced 90% of the time and it seems to be not possible to resist it consistently. Unless you have an extremely good weapon, you will not be able to kill them, although you can easily survive till your gears break.
However, as a ret with 2pc T10, this fight is almost a joke with divine storm spam.

Easy way in 3.3.3 for hunters, without worrying about adds.
1. Clear the right side of the area
2. Put pet under the arch (entrance). Stay + passive
3. Misdirect on pet
4. Don't use hunter's mark. Pull Thekal with Concussive and immediately turn around and run.
5. When he's close, shoot him once and Feign Death. Adds should run back and boss should be hitting pet.
6. Bring the boss to the side you cleared, so he won't knockback you into a bad place in 2nd phase.
7. Kill & profit

This can also be soloed as a resto shammy. Just gave it a shot and succeeded. Before that I tried to solo it with an enhancement spec, which ended in a couple of wipes and might be much more difficult to do.
My gear is currently mostly epic around iLvl ~220.
Following strat worked for me:
-) my resto spec was far from ideal for soloing this - I was truly healing resto specced and my dps blew.
-) I maxed my armor value
-) put focus on the healing guy
-) make a macro button to wind shear the focused target
-) pull the bunch of 5 (2x tigers, thekal + his 2x friends) and start ganking them
-) you may kill 1x tiger but keep at least one other tiger up
-) take down one tiger to a low health value, but do NOT kill him
-) every time the healing guy tries to heal the tiger (you should see that via the focus frame, along with the target of the focused mob) you try to interrupt him. If you do not manage to interrupt the heal, pull out a magma totem and take down the tiger's HP again.
-) evenly take down all of the 3 trolls - once they are all at a low HP level, pull out the fire elemental and bloodlust and burn them down
-) phase 2 is pretty easy, although in the end I was low on mana

After this cleared front, axe throws go down in about 3 hits each now, pet just thunderstomps to keep them occupied. Parked pet, passive - did the MD, conc, feign. Got Thek and the tigers. Once on the worm, didn't even dent pets health. Tigers down in seconds, Thek down in 15-20 seconds. Made sure to Aim shot just before death. I killed all three of them at the same time and there was "____ dies" text. Waited 20 seconds and Thekal did not come back up in Tiger form. Another 10 seconds later all three popped up with 0% hp.
Then, Lor'khan and Zath started smacking me and Thekal just ran around the room. He ran into the left side (which I did not clear) and aggroed everything on to me and I died. Then they reset back to full health.
First comment probably going to get down rated but I thought it was funny =)

Fight took me two minutes at most, I took barely any damage and used seal of command + judgement of wisdom, no healing required, no gear breaking. Hammer of the Righteous is still usable while silenced, and you use consecration when you're not, they die pretty quickly. Just hammer of justice the first heal casting, and she was dead before she could cast another, the other add and boss dead seconds afterward. And phase 2 is easy.

Start with army, got the boss and the 2 adds to roughly 30-35% hp, then
Death and Decay
,
Empower Rune Weapon
, 2x
Blood Boil
,
Blood Tap
, 1x
Blood Boil
for some quick and massive aoe damage and they should be downed before any ressurection. If you can interrupt the heals it would be nice, I didn't have to. You may have to
Death Strike
a bit, although they never got me under 60% hp.
Phase 2 is simple, just dps as much as you can,
Death Strike

This is soloable for mages 2 if u glitch him out. as frost ofc
Clear all the trash in the room and the Big troll who patrols infront of thekals entrance.
Clearing the axe trash can be tricky. Just sheep 1 and nuke 1 down. The last 1 can be deep freezed so he won't stun u if the stun hapens u can always iceblock it if ur having a hard time.
Wenn u cleared the trash u have 2 pull thekal down 2 the entrance (where the big troll patrols) wait till he runs back and follow him quickly so u can reaggro him then use invis 2 leave combat again. Use ur Ice barrier and mana shield wenn pulling.
U have 2 do that 2 times (well thats what i found) and at the 3rd doing this wenn u reaggro him he will transform into his tiger form. Pop ur water elemental so him will aggro thekal and kill the 2 tigers. After killing the tiger pop icy veins and start attacking Thekal. wenn the water ele losses aggro and u can hold the damage pop mirror image and continue attacking him. Make sure u keep ur ice barrier upp. if u do it right it shouldn't be a big problem. (well i don't have much problems downing him).
And for gear i use pvp gear for the extra stam.
Good Luck farming it!

This fight was laughably easy to solo as an 80 Enhancement Shaman in ICC 10/25 gear. I fought them up by the cage without clearing the trash before.
Begin the fight by engaging the healer. Pop your shamanistic rage and wolves, also make sure you've got your magma totem down
in the beginning only to deal with the 2 tiger adds
. Set the wolves to occupy the rogue and dps the healer down till she's got about 10% of her health left (maybe less, you've got some leeway here). Second deal with the rogue till he is also at about 10%. Lastly turn to Thekal and dps him down to about 10% as well, be sure to transition your wolves to Thekal as well should they still be up or they'll kill the rogue. Bring up the enemy health bars using the V hotkey on your keyboard so you can keep an eye on the healer to make sure she isn't casting a heal. The health bars also help in keeping track of each enemy's health.
Now that they're all at about 10% health more or less drop your magma totem again and beat them down in which ever order you choose.
Once Thekal pops up for phase 2 drop your fire elemental and burn bloodlust/heroism (just to be safe). By now your shamanistic rage should also be back up so pop that as well to mitigate some of his damage and restore any mana you may have lost in phase 1. He should drop fairly fast and with little trouble, but be sure to use your MW insta heals should you find yourself in trouble.
Also after the fight be sure to pull back your totems if the fire elemental is still around, cause if you don't he'll run for the nearest axe thrower.
Have fun farming for your tigers :)

this was RIDICULOUSLY easy to farm as a decently geared Bloodthirst/Prot specced warrio. I've been doing it for almost 6 months. My hope was to get the fist weapons from the tiger and panther bosses, i ended up getting the mount this morning...
Strat- Adds don't aggro when you pull the boss.
-Spec for Imp. Cleave. Get cleave glyph, bloodthirst glyph. and spec for improved revenge.
-your goal is to get them each to about 10 % before killing them off. cleave glyph will keep them at about the same amount of HP.
-everytime you use shield block, spam your cleave button, you will get tons of rage. be easy with using revenge since it is a high damage ability, you can out do yourself and accidentally overkill a boss with a 9k+ crit.
-Watch for Lor'Khan's glowing hands, you wont have gag order so heroic throw wont work on canceling, but shield bash, or concussive blow will work on her.
-When Thekal shifts to tiger form keep your back to a wall since his force punch WILL knock you back even if you partially blocked it's dmg.
aside from that, this fight is a joke, good luck.

Easily soloable as lvl 80 frost mage using the bug to lose his adds. Be sure to have your Ice Barrier up, and make proper use of your water Elemental and Mirror Image to tank for you, and you can down him alone as a mage.

Impossible to solo as Shadow Priest, without speccing into Unbreakable Will. Even in ICC Heroic gear. The Silence is just too long without that 30% reduction.

How i managed this.
Prot paladin (doubt being prot is any advantage - if any its a hindrance to dps)
Disc priest
Dual boxed.
Set paladin tanking with heal seal and sanct blessing. Didnt bother buffing priest as no need. Maintain max range of 30 yards.
I tried constant dispelling of the silence but it proved too long when faced with a short casting heal and the lengthy cooldowns of AS, AT and HoJ - even with the unreliability of SoJ stun.
What i did was this, the pvp spell mana burn - spam it on the female troll (the healer) and maintain a total mana pool on her of no higher than 100 mana. As soon as she regens 100 mana, mana burn asap. Now, GRADUALLY wittle all 3 down bit by bit until all have around 5%. With no mana, the healer troll cant heal. She will cast it but have no effect. MAKE SURE THEY ALL HAVE EQUAL HEALTH. They ALL must die within 15 seconds. Use an addon for righteous defence such as tauntmaster so that when the paladin is gouged ''stunned'' the 30 yard max range from female troll to the priest allows the gouge to wear off and give you enough time to use RD to bring them all back. The priest may take a hit or two but since they are level 60, its not much damage, but be sure to keep her alive.
In short:
Paladin tanking all 3.
Healing and mana return buffs on paladin.
Maintain 30 yards from priest to female troll healer.
Mana burn the female troll and maintain less than 100 mana at all times.
Make sure they all die within 15 seconds.
RD them all back when paladin is gouged.
Keep priest alive.
Phase 2 is lolnukefest.

Also accomplished this with a spriest.
Basic strat is to run around like a madman (keeping shield and inner fire up at all costs) while your dots kill them, then burst them all down as quickly as possible. Took me many, many tries to down him but now its getting easier and easier. A few tips:
I recommend a
full pvp spec
with Silence, Unbreakable Will, Improved PW: S and Improved Vamperic Embrace. Mental Agility also helps keep the dot mana costs down. Glyphs of Dispersion and Inner Fire are probably mandatory.
Stack as much
haste
as you can. The toughest part of this fight is that your most powerful dot has a 1.5 sec cast time. Get the cast off as quick as possible so that you minimize the chance of being interrupted. If you are not trying to get off a VT, you should be running around to lessen damage while casting your other dots on all targets.
Use your cooldowns effectively
. Use shadowfiend in the hopes that he gets silenced instead of you, but only when you can use the mana. Use Dispersion early so that you can use it twice. Good times for using Dispersion are: When you cant reshield and have no inner fire or when you are low on health with full dots up and could use the mana.
Some people like to blow haste trinkets/engi stuff at the beginning of the fight, but i think this is a waste. Standing at max range gives you ample time to cast full dots on everyone before they reach you. Save the burst haste for when you really need it.
Silence: Chances are the boss will decide which heals you can interrupt due to the constant spamming of silence. You will have to eat about as many heals as you interrupt over the course of the fight in my experience. Stay with it and hope for your opening. You will have to rng the boss down to some extent.
Focus dots on those with most health. Once all three bosses are sufficiently low, either blow your remaining cooldowns or let the dots finish them evenly. If you reach phase 2 you've won.
If things are going very poorly, you can run out of the room and reset the encounter. Be careful about this though, there have been times where I decided to stick it out instead of running and survived a very long time, eventually downing them. The longer you survive, the better your chances.
One final hint, the shaman will heal the tiger adds if they are low on health. A single sw: p will put them right where you need them. Their damage is minimal so you could keep them alive and hope they sap a useful heal. Be careful about this, because in my experience the boss does not recent properly when the tiger adds are still alive. When you run out of the room, they will simply all chance you down until you die. If you need to run for the door, finish the tigers before you do.
UPDATE: As of 4.01 the extra health and Inner Fire mechanics make this much easier. You will also never run oom. Leaving op as is for those who still want the strategy.

His silence seems to have no cooldown whatsoever, which makes soloing this boss near impossible as a non PvP geared shadowpriest. I eventually managed to solo him, somehow moving around seems to prevent some of the interrupts/stuns/silences. I'd strongly recommend using PvP gear, as well as a glyph of Inner Fire for damage reduction. The only encounter in ZG that took me alot of effort and several deaths.

This doable as a Shadow Priest. I got 5700gs.
Just dot all three and keep inner fire + shield up at all times. Keep moving back and forth all the time so you dont get stunned. You will get silenced alot but dont worry!
Tiger has not dropped on my Priest yet but got it on my DK on first kill :D

Tip for Soloing as any class
! (specially those with few or no silences)
you can actualy avoid having to bother silencing Lor'khan (the priest) and also avoid burning down a boss again at the same time,
First ill explain the targeting mechanic i have picked up for the priest's heals, he will heal a close ally who has the least % of health,
So what you need to do, is keep one of the two tigers that come with the boss alive, and melee/wand it or use a low dmg/rank spell to wittle it down to ~10% health, then start pounding on the bosses, when the priest heals he will heal the tiger, because he/she has the lowest % health remaining out of all lor'khans allies
then once the priest heals the tiger, just burn him down to about 10% again using low rank or low damage spells
another benefit to this is that unlucky gouge while Lor'khan is healing, wont matter anymore :)
only thing to watch out for is not to use AoE or you will kill the tiger
Once all three Named trolls (Thekal, the Rogue, and Lor'khan) are at a low % health, 11-15% is good to shoot for if you are keeping the tiger alive, (obviously the lower health your keeping the tiger, the lower the trolls can be), stop dps and wait for lor'khan to throw his next heal, then once he does, pop all your AoE CDs (if you need em) and burn down the named trolls, and it should work like a charm

Easiest way to Solo with
any class without any silence
:
1. Just clear all 3 pack of tigers & Axe Throwers in front of the boss.
2. Star the boss encounter en set /focus on Lor'kahn (the healer)
3. DPS Lor'kahn down to about 20-30%, as she will only heal herself when she get below 50%
4. DPS Thekal & Zath to about 10-20%, but every time when u see Lor'kahn healing herself, dps her back to 20-30%
5. when all 3 are about 20% pop some CD's (trinkets, berserk, avanging wrath etc. etc) and nuke them all down.
6. if you succeed Thekal will transform and from here its just cakewalk, tank&spank.
I find this definitly the easiest way of doing this encounter, if you think there's anything wrong with it please reply on me.
PS. you can either kill the 2 tigers at the beginnen, or you can just leave them alive as they form no threat at all, or will die after a minute off AoE damage.

Solo'd as a fire mage in 4.0.1. in ilvl 269 gear.
Use mage armour to reduce the silence time (hopefully it won't hit you at all). Clear all the trash in the yard.
Start pull at max range with a pyro on thekal, follow with a fireball, LB, then mirrors. drop a blastwave/flamestrike, spread LB when impact procs. Tigers should die without you worrying about them, and hopefully soak some heals in the process. Exact process is tricky, but you basically want to get 2-3 of them low (say, sub 50% hp) then finish off at least Thekal and ideally Zoth before the images die, then polish off the healer before respawn. P2 is cake, but if you're giving yourself some distance don't do what I did and back out the entrance and cause him to reset.
Keep mana shield up at all times. If they start rezzing each other or the images die before you get thekal down, turn and run out to reset it.
Now curse as the mount doesn't drop. Again.
(btw, raptor boss is also soloable).

I solo'ed them as a discipline priest yesterday. Was something of a nightmare. The fight took over 40 minutes, although 20-30 of that was a stalemate while I searched for a weakness.
My build was a pvp build (ie; reflective shield, focused will, and glyphed pain suppression).
Lor'khan stops moving when she starts to heal (approximately once/minute). My first strategy was to move the others out of her range, but that didn't work. I dunno what her range is, but I couldn't get them far enough away.
I also tried keeping a tiger alive so that Lor'khan would heal it instead, but they died fairly quickly on my reflective shield. No help there. But eventually I stumbled on the secret to beating them.
Power Word: Shield + Renew was very helpful. So was fading after I summoned my shadowfiend. I'd pull the fiend after the rogue burned his gouge then fade as I moved out of his kick range. Unless I got silenced, that gave me 15 seconds of easy casting as either dps or to heal myself up. Smite + inspiration gave me a nice chunk of mana back (although I'd get silenced a lot -- I think one can move a bit farther back to get out of silence range, but I'm not sure on that). I also needed Power Word: Barrier on a few occasions when I overextended myself and got chain-silenced so that my health got alarmingly low. (Never needed to pop a healing potion though.)
There are two problems with doing this as a discipline priest.
1 - You're silenced approximately 50% of the fight. (You get gouged and kicked a lot too).
2 - Lor'khan heals and we have no interrupts to prevent her from healing.
There is no way to avoid #1 that I could find. Problem #2, however, has an intriguing solution. Lor'khan can only heal when she has 200 mana. When I was at full health with my shield and renew up, I'd draw out the kick with a smite. Then mana burn Lor'khan a few times. Her mana pool is quite low, and it might take only 10 mana burns to burn her entire mana bar.
She does gain it back though, so you need to keep an eye on her. I suggest putting her on focus. With the right mod settings you can probably see her mana at all times that way. Once she had up to 50 mana or so, I'd start working on burning it again. That didn't take long for her to get back to 50, but silence there are sooooo many silences and you need to heal yourself so often, you really can't start too early. The DOTs and reflective shields are what does most of your damage anyway. She'll still get a heal off now and then, but it's not that big of a deal because she is now healing every 3-4 minutes instead of every minute.
Once they're all around 15k or below, focus your efforts on Thekal (I think she's the one that casts the silences). Twice the wrong person died first and I wasn't able to finish the others off before the resurrections because I was chain-silenced. I suggest pulling out your shadowfiend around 15k and sicking it on Thekal. He'll mow through her health in seconds and immediately jump on the others.
Once the three are dead Thekal will return in tiger form, but that's a cakewalk and you need no advice on how to do that.
One more note. Zath does the worst of the damage to you. Dispel bloodlust off him immediately. I generally ignored Bloodlust on Lor'khan. (I never noticed it being cast on Thekal).
This whole process took about 45 minutes, although half of that was just me looking for a weakness. The two resurrections slowed things down as well, but that's partially due to the bug with labels above enemies so I couldn't monitor their health very well.
I also never wanded, which would have added more dps. My wand didn't work (it kept saying "invalid target") and I realized I had not put the shoot button correctly on my bar (I drug the wand from my inventory instead). Fixing that would have helped my dps a bit.
Knowing what I know now and fixing the wand issue, I estimate it would take me 10 minutes to solo them.

Still soloable as Bloodthirst warrior. Wearing 5k GS prot gear and using two two handers for more dps. This fight takes a bit longer than it used too but is still do able. Pummle every time healing is casted. your cd is faster than his. Keep BT going. and pumling the healing. Simple fight still. Just takes longer. Successfully solod as a Shadow Priest with an average item level of 271. Only took me 1 try, mainly because a strange bug occurred. I was kiting all of the bosses around and suddenly Zath ran back upto the top and stood back up where you engage the boss/es.
I'm not sure what exactly caused it, but, I did kill him and the shaman(I think) during the encounter and they both got ressed.
Good luck farming!

Solo'd as an Arcane mage ilvl 268 was very easy :
used Mage Armor (reduces silence by 50%)
spamed arcane blast all the time (50k crit one cast)
used mirrors
nuked the two minors to 10 %
used arcane barrage and presence of mind to kill those two
then killed the priest ( 4 casts)
when the tiger spawned used mana shield every 12 sec ( cast mana shield before he turns to the tiger saves the cd when mana shield is broken)
spamed arcane blast till he died ^^ had 5k hp left but it was a first try kill
Next try will be Hakkar :D

Hakkar was easy enough to solo with a T9 tankadin post 4.0.1. The instance as a whole was painful - too many casters silencing and healing and I did give up on the bat boss because having a 60 second cooldown on an interupt against a greater heal with a cooldown of 20 seconds that heals boss for almost full was heart breaking.
With Seal of Insight up on using the Shield of the Righteous for my Holy Power procs 80% of the time was enough to beat the enrage. Not a fast fight but not hard either. The trash beforehand was way harder and as for the Tiger boss, 38 mins proved he has no enrage.

As of patch 4.0 a feral tank can solo all of ZG, including this boss. Tab/lacerate on all of them to bring them down evenly, use swipe on CD, and use mangle on CD, just make sure you spread it around. You can interrupt the heals pretty easily, or just bring whoever got healed back down. Once they have less than 50% health just berserk and kill them.
P2 is a joke.

Ever since I started soloing this priest I've cleared all the trash. Every three days when I come into zg I half dread doing this boss since it takes longer to clear the trash than it does to kill the boss. Those axe spinners are annoying as hell.
Then one day I wondered why I was bothering to clear the trash; So I weaved my way around the cubs and killed the boss.
Moral of the story, unlike many of the other posts on this page there's no reason to clear the trash in this room. Just avoid the cubs and orient yourself so you won't get blasted into a pack of creep in phase 2.

Stupid easy to solo as a combat rogue post 4.0. Get em all a little low then Blade Flurry + Killing Spree to finish em off. Set the shaman as your focus so you can kick when he starts to heal. He couldn't out dps my recuperation after he rezzed, but if he can, just use evasion when you're low and enjoy the 15 seconds of recup ticking while you take no damage.

Solo'd with a post-4.0 Ret paladin with crap gear (probably 4500 GS), using a one-hander and shield.
In short, Word of Glory and Rebuke ftw. Mana-less instant heals.
Made the shaman my focus and used Rebuke to interrupt anytime I saw a heal coming. I saved Holy Power to heal anytime I wasn't silenced (which was quite a bit). In the worst cases, a 3xHP Word of Glory right after a silence bought me enough time to get of 1-2 flash heals to augment if I was really low. I didn't use DS or TV, focusing on a steady burn and topping myself off. When I tried to get cute by attempting to use DS, it tended to put me in jeopardy because of silences. Rather than AOE down, I just burned each target to 15% individually and then down to 5% each, and then finished it up. I took the shaman down to 5% last since I wasn't using a focus macro for the silence and my auto-attack once I targeted him was damaging him too much per silence on a previous attempt. 2 attempts total.
Edit: Happened to get the Swift Zulian on my 2nd successful downing with this ret pally. Before you tell me how lucky I am, I had done it tons on my feral druid for the past 2 years and never got it. Tried Prot but you really need Rebuke to get this done. On my 2nd downing, I decided to keep one tiger up and let him hover at 30% health. I missed one interrupt and the tiger got the heal. That's a pretty handy tip from above.

Solo'd him today on a decently geared MM Hunter. This is a very long fight solo, so the trick is to keep you "Mend Pet" going constantly and Misdirect/Feign every time you steal agg. I found that the priest himself is the squishiest so you can keep him dead quickly after rezzing. After that you just need to burn the other two as fast as possible.

Soloed as a rogue today after a couple attempts. Always having recuperate up is a huge help.
My strategy was to open up and get a 5pt recuperate followed by blade flurry/killing spree. After that I adrenaline rush/ fan of knives, bringing all three mobs down to 50%, then switched to single target to whittle them all down to 10% then finish them off with another BF. Make sure to kick heals!
Once tiger phase begins, you shouldn't drop too much health over your recuperate regen.
The key is to wait till you are 30% health and then pop evasion so you regen health with recuperate back to full. Evasion glyph helps.
I was combat spec, and did not have improved recuperate. I also did not use a pot or health stone!

As an SPRIEST
I made a macro for each Zath, Thekal and Lor'khan.
example:
/target High Priest Thekal
/cast Shadow Word: Pain
I then ran around the entrance making sure my SWP was always up. Wearing full wrath, they all took damage fairly equally from SWP and from my apparitions. When their health was low enough I just roflstomped all three at the same time and rolled over phase 2.

Third time's the charm, for my level 73 paladin.
While it is possible to solo it as prot, silence + heal combos makes for a long fight if you're unlucky, as well as (at my level) possibly dying to a silence chain (6sec silence 1s open 5sec silence 1s open 4sec silence 2s Gouge).

Soloed him today with my 80 Prot Paladin. First time I actually tried fighting him. It took forever -- I just couldn't manage to get them all dead at the same time. I finally completed both phases after about 24 minutes. With all of the silencing and rezzing, it just took forever. It wasn't difficult to stay alive, but it was a pain to deal with the silencing. I just kept my 4 AOEs going non-stop and threw in some judgments when I all of the AOEs were on cooldown. When necessary, I healed. Easy enough besides the pain getting them all dead at the same time and putting up with the silences.

There are two rounds of combat here. In the first round you get High Priest Thekal and two Zealots. Apparently you need to kill them all at the same time. The Zealot named "khan" heals herself, so keep an eye on that. Once all three are dead, Thekal resurrects and transforms into a were-tiger (think Tony the Tiger on 'roids). It's here that my group is running into trouble. His AoE launches people away and deals around 900 damage or so. It makes it really hard to keep the tanks alive. Also, Thekal will randomly charge and beatdown the healers and ranged dps characters. Two elite tigers spawn every 20 seconds or so and wreak havok if they aren't taken down quick.
Anyone who's taken him out care to provide some tips?

Here is the biggest tip I can give you on this fight. During the second phase he will jump and cause a AoE blast wave that has knock back. This was hitting me for about 1,100 points damage. (I am a super squishy mage with UBRS equivalent gear.) I have not figured out the range on this thing yet but it is at least 35meters and I think it is more like 40 or 45.
You can jump and avoid the wave!
If you are standing right next to him you immediately jump right when he does. If you are away from him you will notice it is a blast wave and will travel from him out to you. It is not easy to jump the wave but everyone should be attempting to. At some point, you will get the timing down and be extremely happy you learned it. It should be noted that some times he will do a double wave, he will jump and cause the AoE then jump right after.

I'll let you guys figure out a technique for Phase 1. If you can't get that far on your own then you don't deserve to try this technique out...
Phase 2
Turn it into a cage match. Once he rezzes have the main tank pull him back into the hut where he started the fight at and then tank him inside the hut. The main tank's only challenge is to stay within Line of Sight right after an awkward diagonal knockback.
Leave a secondary tank at the steps of the hut to "seal him in." When the main tank loses aggro from a knockback then the secondary tank can taunt him to prevent him from leaving the hut.
Ranged DPS and healers WILL take damage from his knockback but now you have tons of room to run back and bandage or pot. The tiger spawns will run straight out of the hut and towards your healers so have your rogues and 3rd/4th tank pick them up and worry about them.
My guild didn't want to try this strategy out of sheer fear of Line of Sight issues...but we had none. First time using this method we killed him...no deaths.

We fight Thekal (stage 2) very similarly to the spider boss.
We have melee, and casters, both with their backs to different walls (to avoid getting knockbacked and to make sure he doesn't run all around, just to point a or point b). We use the two corners directly opposite his hut. When Thekal loses aggro on our tank, he'll generally run towards the healers/ranged dps (if he stays and fights a melee, tank can just taunt him back). We have a warrior ready to taunt him and drag him back when he does this, just as everyone does the spider.
In stage one, the best advice is to have one of the tanks establish secondary aggro on the rogue guy so he doesn't gouge and WTFPWN healers (and of course, kick/shock/silence the priest guy out of heals).
Also, for the spawns, I suggest dpsing early and crowd controlling later, as others have suggested.

If you are low on Melee DPS characters to take out the tiger adds, one way we found success was the warlocks (we have three in a 20 man raid, how lucky are we?) fear the cats as they come out. That allowed us to keep our DoTs up and still keep the adds off the healers in the final stage of the fight. And it worked well.
Oh, and any warlocks trying to use curse of weakness on him to lessen his attack, don't bother. doesn't work. Put curse of elements up there so the mages can nuke the hell out of him.

There is still a bug u can do if u havehunters with u... the hunters aimed shots the 2 main adds, gets aggro and start running away with cheetah... tank grabs aggro from tigers and boss while the hunters are running. It wnt resett as long as the boss deosn't run out. Th ehunters will run with the adds as far as possible and then feign death...a split second later u need to pull noss out of the room and he will resett. It will take a time though for the adds to rsett so when the boss has resetted u can pull him with no adds... it wont get easier than this. I hope this will help u all who have probs on this boss.

Our guild does this without resetting, there's really no need at all.
Go with this initial setup:
T=Tiger
Z=Zath
Th=Thekal
L=Lor
R=Rogue
H=Hunter
MT=duh :P
T Z Th L T
R R
H
MT
Have your hunter Multi shot Th, Z and L. Warrior needs to grab Th asap and pull him to the open area to the right of the altar, we tend to go as far into the corner as we can.
The Rogues are stood there in order to grab the tigers as they run out.
No one touches Z and L, and the Hunter drags them out, Kiting them around ZG, as far away as poss. How well Thekal goes depands on how good a job your Hunter does.
All dps on tigers to get them down, then all move to Thekal.
Once he goes down, if the hunter hasn't kited the others far enough away yet (they seem to have a pretty long range, wish my priest could res from that far away.. :P) He will be ressed again in Thekal form. Just kill him again, at which point your hunter will have the others far enough away.
On the other hand, if he did his job right, Thekal just resses into Tiger first death.
As soon as Tiger is up, Hunter FD and head back to group. No one touch tiger until MT has aggro.
Mages are generally set to tiger duty, and sheep one of the adds he spawns, kills the others, unsheep and kill.
He spawns these 2 tigers at regular intervals and they can take down a clothy in 2 hits. (trust me, i know this..)
When MT has boss aggro, all DPS can go in, watch his knockback, keep your tank alive.
L and Z will respawn on the altar, they won't aggro you, and you're free to finish off Thekal without the hassle of dealing with them.
There is no need, at any point, if using this tact, to pull the boss out and reset.
He goes down nicely.

The previous tactic I posted for this boss, Ie, the kiting the adds round the inst one.. Was removed in patch 1.12, the boss will simply evade when they get to a certain distance away, run back to his altar and the whole thing resets.. A total ballsache, but ah well, below is the tact our guild now uses:
Assign a Tank to Thekal, one to Kahn and 2 to Zath. Assign a Rogue to Kahn.
Now, assign dpsers seperately to each target, I find this is best done with the help of an accurate damage meter.
Basically, you need to assign top DPSer to Thekal, miss out two, assign 4th dpser to him, miss out two, assign 7th dpser to him.
Assign second DPSer to Kahn, aswell as 5th and 8th. If your Rogue who is assigned to Kahn happens to fall on one of these spots, then that's great, if not, then jiggle your people around a little, basically, you gotta have a rogue on Kahn (this is to stun him to stop him healing, his assigned tank can also shield bash to help with this).
Assign third, 6th and 9th dpsers to Zath, and follow this pattern if you have any additional dpsers. Tanks and healers obviously do not count, as they will have assigned targets anyway.
MT pulls, and tanks take their targets, all three are tanked together between the pillars, with ranged at max range. DPSers must take down the two tigers before they take their targets, when the tigers are down, all concentrate on their own targets.
The three of them will go down fairly evenly, if your target falls, move to the one left with the most health.
They must fall within 10 seconds of each other, otherwise they will res.
When all are down, Tiger will appear.
Allow MT to take aggro, pull him to the top left hand corner of the area, close to where you find a hoodoo pile when clearing the place to begin with. DPS him to hell.
He will spawn 2 tigers at intervals, have 2 mages polying these and assigned DPSers taking them out.

Theres a bug you can use to despawn the zealot adds and make Thekal change to his 2nd form, you have to get somebody to pull them and then get your entire raid on the stump and wait a little, they will run back and it will start the script. I have NO IDEA why this works

Just did it with 2 hunters and a priest, make sure you kill the first 3 at the same time. AOE really helps. Unfortunately, no tiger mount. :(

Lvl 80 undead deathknight. Solo'ed this many times, fairly easy as blood specced, Nuke the rogue 10%, interupting the healers casts, then nuke thekal to 5% since he has more hp, then after that nuke the healer to 10% then AoE, easy if you do it in this order for nuking the healer, dont have to change target every heal she casts. No tiger yet, but soon xD.

Anyone think a Blood,or a Forst DK with a healer could Solo this? Or even a level 80 Prot Pally?
评论来自
Thottbot
1. "xx class with healer" isnt soloing. :)
2. Im a t7 prot pally and i can't solo this. They never get me below 98% hp/mp, but trying to kill all three at exactly the same time while the one heals and the other silences is next to impossible. HoJ's cd is too long to stop every heal, and even if it wasnt, im silenced during more than half of them. I can manage to get them all to around 10-15 percent, then burn one or two of them, but 5 to 6 seconds later they get rezzed by the one that remains. Tried dropping the healer first, and did, but got silenced before i could burn down the other two. After that I tried buring down the boss first, which took care of the silence, but while doing that the healer is healing herself to full, thereby making it impossible to burn her down before the boss gets rezzed. I dont know warriors all that well, but if they have a way to regenerate health, and their bash isnt silenceable, and they have some way to put out decent 3-mob damage, they might be able to pull this off. I sealed/judged light to keep health up, and when silence was down i consecrated, holy shielded, judged, and double SoR'd. when silence was up I HoR'd, and popped DS as often as i could to bubble it off. I'd dont see prot pallies being able to do this without either some class for removing the silence, or for interrupting every heal. Not sure about the range on silence though, if it silences the dispeller it would be pointless. My bet is it would be best to bring a rogue that does nothing but kick the healer, and even out the mobs hp so they're all in line when they die.

Hey there, just to let you know:
Yes the stump bug does still work.
My DK friend and myself (a hunter) farm it each reset for his mount.
Yes an 80 DK could solo this fight pretty easily. My friend is in good gear now though we had still been doing it for a while earlier when his gear was not quite as good as it is now.
Ironically it takes 3-10mins to bug the boss out to get him into phase2 and only around 40seconds to kill him :(
That being said, we never fight his adds since we bug him out.
Dont know the stump bug? google/youtube/wowmovies it. But shh! Dont tell Blizzard ;)

i just solod him as 80 prot warrior. note i dont have good gear i am still in Hellfire peninsula tanking trinket. i DO NOT have the healing trinket from shattered halls in mostly blacksmithing crafed gear or rep rewards tank gear i have 555 Defense with around 26k life with commanding shout and 40 sta food buff.
1. Keep demo shout up and use thunderclap often. Make sure commanding shout is up at all times
2.use shield block as often as you can
3.use enraged regen at around 80% so you can use it again later in phase2. DONT use it until you get to phase2.
4.right after enraged regen goes away pop shield wall so it can be used again later as well
phase 1 isnt so bad just kill tigers right away and shield bash heals i didnt have to much trouble just make sure your shouts are up. get each one to around 25% bc thunderclaps and the talent spec for dmg shield will hurt them. once there all at low life wait till there all around 3-4% and just kill em off.
now phase2 is fun right before it starts bandage as long as you can than pop enraged regen and last stand. again keep demo shout up and thunderclap and use shield block whenever its up. my first time i killed him i was around 10% when he died so it was a close one i ignored the tigers but might of been a good idea to kill them not sure gotta wait 2 days to try again.
Good luck all

for fun and for the mount I'm going for Thekal :
as lvl 80 feral druid :
kill the 2 tigers elites first,
then just make sure you kill thekal and the 2 addsat the same time
interrupt heal with bash or with feral charge, just watch when she start casting heal
hardest part the beginning and kill the 3 at the same time
when thekal turn in tiger form, it's a piece of cake to down him with high armor of bear form
good luck for mount!

My friend and I have been 2-manning this guy since we hit 80. I am a holy priest in blues with a few epics and even some greens mixed in. He is a prot pally also in a mixed set of gear. We are both post-BC players who did not experience ZG or this fight until we decided to try for the tiger mount.
This is a pretty fast and easy fight for us. This is how we work it:
Clear the tigers and axe-throwers in the room before the boss. This gives us plenty of space to move around so we can bring the boss and his friends out of the little building they stand in, and also so that in the 2nd phase, when the boss does his knock-backs, we don't risk aggroing more enemies.
Phase 1: Get the tigers out of the way. Should be a "duh" issue but thought I'd mention that anyway. The great thing about the tigers is that when they are dead, they stay that way.
After our first two fights where we had the bosses rez and had to fight them a second time -- we successfully did it on the second try both times, it was just really obnoxious -- we learned how to get all three down within the right timeframe on the first try.
The key party member in phase 1 is not the actual main boss, but his priestess sidekick Lor'khan. She will periodically heal for a large amount. In our first two sloppy fights, we would sometimes both be stunned when she did her heal, so neither of us could interrupt. But, that's no longer an issue:
The pally tanks and does almost all the damaging. I throw in a little here and there when my mana's high, but mostly I stick to healing and mana burning. Lor'khan has a large mana pool, yet only needs 200-ish mana to cast a greater heal (don't I wish I could do that lol). I mana burn Lor'khan a few times. Heal pally. Mana burn. Heal. Rinse, lather, repeat. Once I get her to absolute 0 mana, I continue burning it back down as it regens and keeping the pally healthy. Due to blinds/silences being thrown at me throughout the fight, I try not to let her get above 100 mana.
The pally watches the enemy healthbars and keeps them as even as possible. The three get down to near-death, I do a final mana burn on Lor'khan (who tends to go down first) and help kill the last two ASAP.
They all die.
Phase 2: Thekal gets back up for more fighting. Just as in phase 1, get rid of his tigers first. If he summons some more in a minute, not a big deal; they go down pretty fast. Fighting Thekal in phase 2 is much easier than phase 1 and I don't think any advice is even necessary here. If you can make it through phase 1, I don't see that phase 2 would be much of a problem. Hit him, hit him some more, get knocked back, run back over, hit him some more . . . I believe this is what is referred to as a "tank and spank."
It took me longer to type this in and read it over for spelling errors than the actual fight takes :).
Oh, and: no tiger mount yet.

As a tanking druid at 80 to solo this.
Stealth in past the axe throwers (which can kill you if you try to fight them and get unlucky) and get up to the boss.
Stage 1: In bear form, dps all the mobs at once using maul (should be glyphed) and swipe. However, be mostly concerned about Lor'Khan and Thekal's health. Lor'khan will heal himself or Thekal from time to time, but never seems to heal Zath. So keep your focus on Thekal and Lor'khan to make sure that they're taking the majority of the maul damage. You can ignore the heals for now as you only have a single interupt on a longish cd. Just focus on Thekal and Lor'Khan and bring them down to Zath's level anytime they get healed. You'll automatically be hitting Zath with swipe and some mauls, so he'll come down too automatically.
If Zath gets down to 25% health and Thekal/Lor'Khan have a lot more health then be careful and use swipe less and Mangle/Lacerate more on just Thekal/Lor'Khan.
When you get everyone down to 15-20%, interupt Khan's next heal. Hit Berserk (no cooldown on Mangle and hits 3 targets) and nuke the 3 down at once, using maul too. This depends on your AP, of course. With lower 80 gear, you may need to bring them down a little more to ensure they'll die in the 10 second window.
In phase 2, the biggest problem is getting enough rage to hit him. When he respawns the tigers, ignore them and just let them hit you to give you rage. Phase 2 you should outheal his pitiful damage with your ILOTP.
Rage will NOT be an issue in stage 1. Use your defensive cooldowns in this stage as the damage is higher than stage 2. Barkskin everytime available, any trinkets as you like. I use demoralizing roar a lot too. There is no burst damage taken here, it's all fairly even slow damage taken. I've never needed Frenzied Regen as my health only went as low as 60% by the end of stage 1, and ILOTP meant I had more health when he died.
Good luck!

How to Solo this guy as a Enh shaman to be put simple
Clear the room of the axe throwers. When they are all dead put down the
Healing Stream
,
Stoneskin/Str of Earth
,
Grounding totem
up anytime u can to avoid silences, and fire totem depends on what u would like Me I am specced for
Magma
but
Flametongue
or
Nova totem
work too
Now when u attck the boss beat on the rogue like add first get him to around half Health. Then pop your wolves make your wolves attck the Shaman. Be Sure to all ways Stop her from healing and keep grounding totem up once the CD is done. Once the shaman is at half health or so pop heroism then start to kill teh rogue add again. When he's about dead switch back to shaman and kill her then go back to rogue.
2nd Phase is a tank and spank for Enh shamans pop wolves when u can during this phase and just beat his face in while using all your 5 charged maelstorm to Greater Heal yourself.
If this doesnt work just watch the video

Solo'd as a level
80 protection paladin
(Scudder: Cenarion Circle)
I've tried this several times without success due mainly to poor timing, having one or more of the mobs drop prematurely and be ressurected with full health and mana. Having spent some time watching how they function, I decided that the best course of action would be to outlast them.
Using Blessing of sanctuary, seal of light, judgement of light and improved righteous fury, I was able to negate all incoming damage. I could essentially get up and walk away from the keyboard and simply rebuff every half hour, and do nothing but white damage
until the end of time
.
What I'd noticed over several attempts is that they generally don't heal the rogue mob unless he's really low on health. Thekal does the silence as best as I can tell as well as healing, and Lor'khan also does healing.
The Pull
When facing the group, if you back yourself to the wall on the left, you don't have to worry about any additional mobs joining the party. Pull any one of them, they will all come, along with two or three low hp tigers. You can either burn them right off the bat to lower the incoming dps, or use them for mana regen and let your AoE burn them off.
The Execution
This is the trick part. You're not trying to kill them, you're trying to outlast them. If you burn one of them too quickly, one of the remaining mobs will ressurect the one you killed, resulting in full health and mana. If its Thekal or Lor'khan, they will proceed to heal their group to full. That is bad, as it starts a chain of similar consequences keeping you there indefinitely.
Start out using retribution aura, consecration, holy shield, judgment of light, hammer of the righteous, and shield of righteousness on Thekal, as he has the most health, and even though his hp percentage may be the same as his cohorts, he will still take significantly longer to down when you decide to make your move. Once his health is around the 40k-50k mark, move to Lor'khan. Continue the same rotation till she is around half, give or take. By this time your AoE damage from HotR, consecration, holy shield, and ret aura should have sufficiently brought down the rogue's hp to a similar level.
While all of this is going on, Lor'khan is sure to be healing herself and the others, but do
NOT
try to interrupt her. You want her burning her mana. Her heals can be good for around 30k-50k, and only cost about 205 mana.
This will take time.
Once one or two of the mobs health is at a point where you're concerned about accidentally killing them, switch to devotion aura, and
ONLY
use judgement of light and SoR to bring down whoever has the most health. You should almost never need to attack the rogue directly, because if they've healed him to the point you need to hit him, odds are that Thekal and Lor'khan also have decent health back. At this point you can switch back to the AoE rotation, but be careful not to over do it.
Thekal will most likely be the first to run out of mana, but his silence as best as I can tell only costs around 50-100 mana, so don't expect to see it stop at any point. Once his mana is below 5% or so, he stops healing completely and focus on his silence. He does have some regen, but will most likely never get above 1% once he hits 0.
After you've drained all of their mana to between 0 and 1 percent, and slowly chipped all their health down to 20k or less, its about time to make your move. At this point you want to make sure you have full mana, switch your seal to vengeance, pop divine shield, and unload everything you have as quickly as possible. Once one of the mobs dies, you have 5 seconds to get the other mobs down before they start casting resurrection on the one you've killed. I cannot emphasize enough the importance of having their health as low as possible before you make your move, to insure they all die near-simultaniously. Its a real aggrevation to make your move, only to have one of them get resurrected, then proceed to raise the other two you've just killed.
Gr.
Phase Two
This is stupidly easy and I dont really even need to explain it, but just so you don't get surprised by it here it is.
If you've managed to get through phase one, you've won. He does a few special things but if you're decently geared none of them will really affect you. Leave up ret aura, SoV, and when possible pop avenging wrath and just beat him into the ground. He summons some weak adds that are easily dispensed by HotR splash damage.
Key Tips
1. Pop divine plea at the start of the fight. You won't need to heal so the extra mana to cover consecrate spam is a must.
2. Save your bubble and avenging wrath for the end. The bubble will nerf your mana regen and damage from Ret aura and holy shield. You don't need it except to avoid the silence, which is inconsequential until the very end anyway. Same with avenging wrath, as the silence will nerf your damage output to the point of "why bother".
3. Have patience, like "I fished up the sea turtle mount" patience. I feel I have decent gear, while not incredible, it is relatively good, and I was in combat for one hour and five minutes. Expect to need to rebuff in combat at least once.
4. Hitting the "v" key can be a big help in determining which mob requires the most attention, as it puts their health bars over their heads. If you're backed to the wall you may need to reposition your camera slightly, or not back
completely
into the wall.
Anyway, I don't think I missed anything, have fun solo'ing a tricky and annoying encounter!

After wiping numerous times on Thekal, and one wipe at 2%,we finally got him down last night...
All the time,we did phase 1 with absolutely no mistakes, and then in phase 2 he would wipe the whole raid after a few aggro resets on tanks. We tried having 2 people tank him,so after one gets knockbacked the other takes aggro - But it didn't work,
BOTH
of them would get knockbacked.
The solution is simple,do not tank him next to his hut.See the three cages to the left of the temple?Well if your tanks place their backs on the cages they can
not
jump, and also can't get knocked back.I was the main tank last night, and after he tried to knock me back -Getting aggro back was no problem :D

A bit of supplemental information.
The rogue-type add has a blind-esque attack. When we can spare it, we have a second tank on him in case he blinds the OT and goes after clothies.
During Thekal's first form, he does massive mortal strikes-- our MT is geared from Molten Core, and Thekal's mortal strike still took him from 45% to critically low. This is what makes the healing so mana-intensive. Luckily, Thekal's normal attacks are NOT very rough, and you can disarm him, so conserving mana is still possible.
Thekal's tiger form (we call him Tony) is very damaging also, though not quite as much, and you've got more healers available because the adds are dead.

Phase 1:
3 Tanks, 1 fro each of the bosses, your MT on Thekal, Extra healers for the MT, send pets on Priest if your MT dies it 2nd tank on left add (WARRIOR add) 3rd tank on right add (HEALER add)
1.: kill the tigers
2.: Priest and his adds need to be seperated, pull the HEALER to the right, pull the WARRIOR FAR to the left
3.: Start with the warrior add, get him down to 25%. 1 Hunter and a lock have to concentrate on the HEALER add: DRAIN MANA 2 ZERO!
4.: now go onto Thekal, get him down to 20%
5.: now got onto the HEALER add, get him down to 15%. Make sure hey is ALWAYS oom, he needs not much mana to heal himself.
6.: If the last add is down to 15% look at the 3 mobs HP, making sure they have all about the
same %.
7.: After having all of them down to 10-15% get them togehter and nuke these guys down. They have to die nearly exact the same time, otherwise they will resurrect each other. (as corehoundpacks in MC do)
8.: After all of them are dead Thekal has a comeback as big bad Tiger. Here comes the tricky part^^
Phase 2:
After getting him to change into Tiger Mode get your whole group to the place in front (NOT INSIDE!) of the house without delay! - except the hunters. Having your whole group in a smaller place makes it easyer for Warriors to keep him under control. Send all your warriors on him at the same time to make sure the aggro stays on a warrior even if one of them dies. Start hitting him after warriors hat time to build aggro.
Tiger adds have to be killed by Hunters from Distance asap (2 Hunters can easily aggro-tennis and kill these guys), Rouges can help. Rest of the fight is won or lost by healers. If you waste too much mana on healing in Phase 1 you will have trouble to keep the tanks up in Phase 2. There is no need to drain mana in Phase 2. His Hp are pretty low. Healers and casters stay away from him, his jump attack aoe is deadly for you.
If aggro stays on the warriors and healing is up he is no match.
After killing go get the loot.
If a swift Zulian Tiger Mount comes out leave it to a Hunter! Hunters deserve epic mounts more than all other classes. Belive me, I know whats going on!

There are 2 phases to this encounter:
Phase 1 we used 3 warriors to tank boss and his 2 troll adds and kept the 2 tiger guardians sleeped/feared etc. Took each guy down to 15% health then moved them togther and nuked them all in one go.
Phase 2 Boss turns to a tiger and will get 6 guardians. He has a nasty knockback so the warrior positioned himself against the wall. Take boss down with mass dps then clear the tigers after.

As with most other bosses, Thekal has some annoying tricks & gadgets.
First: He has two - actually quite powerful - adds.
One of them is a rogue-style mob and has no mana-bar, the other is paladin/shaman style (i'd say shaman, as he deals a lot of dmg & has instant heal, ffs).
Tip: Drain the mana, so both Thekal and the Zealot can't heal each other. If they do, and you kill one of the others...
Second: All of the three must be defeated within ten seconds of each other - just like the Core Hound packs, but harder thanks to 20 player limit.
Third: Thekal the Tiger.
After the first phase (priests/druids/other healers : you shouldn't be <30% of your mana, or you are in trouble) he morphs into a BIG tiger with a 1000 damage AE knockback (FAR FAR away style knockback)
MT healer -must- stand outside of that range and still be within healing range, or you'll get molested by that big tiger.
Next: Thekal's Charge
Much like the Dire Maul guards, High Priestress Jeklik and Bloodlord Mandokir, he randomly charges to a person and hits them on the head before (hopefully) returning to the MT.
This can -majorly- suck if he does knockback & charge in rapid succession, as he knocks back the MT & then charge-kills the healer.
Next: KEEP THE MANA DOWN!
Hunters should ALWAYS have the mana-drain sting up.
No mana, no tiger-adds.
All in all, its a fight that needs mana conserving in the first phase, positioning during the phase switch and a highly attentive 7k+ life maintank that is able to rip away a pissed off High Priest from those cloth-nancyboys.
Not an easy fight, but real fun & challenging - much better than Molten Core, and slightly cooler than Onyxia (whom everyone did like, 20000 times - the fights are quite comparable, though, with positioning, keeping the MT alive at all costs and so on)
Rowena, out.
