Gains the 40% benefit from the Alchemist's Stone.
*edit* I am also disappointed that its animation is the regular potion drinking one. No *tsst* Ahh, that's the stuff. :(

I'll have to check this when I've used up the last of my old injectors, but based on the tooltip and the lack of "charges" given, it almost seems like you could stack partially-used injectors back together.
As in, say you have an injector with 8 uses left, and another one with 12 uses left. It almost looks like you could combine them into one injector with 20 uses.
Again, I'll have to test this later.

From the latest 2.3 patch notes:
Engineering potion injectors no longer require engineering skill to use.

Now that these are usable by everyone, they allow you to carry 4 times as many potions in the same amount of space. This change is a raider's wet dream!
Luckily I was stockpiling adamantite and fel iron for other stuff anyway.

Seems to me that the mats to make this are a bit extreme for what you gain in bag space. Sure you can now carry 4 times as many but who carries 80 mana pots. It actually only frees up 2 bag slots. You have to carry at least 2 injectors because when one has only a couple charges left you need a spare. I normally carry 4, five stacks of mana pots. So thats 2 freed up slots. You also need at least 2 high level toons to make them (Herbalism, Alchemy, Engineering) if you aren't going to buy your mats on the AH. The price of the mats on the AH alone will cost more than you can sell the injectors for. The extra mats cost, along with the fact that most people don't know to look for it on the AH make it a hard sell. Seems to me that an injection would be much more efficient than a potion. Why not make it only cost 15 mana pots along with the other mats to make it. Lower the mat reqs Blizz! and while your at it, how bout a cool animation.

Ok so here's a total nub question for everyone...
When all 20 charges are used up... does this item disappear?
Or does it stay in that bag slot with no pots in it? Can it be refilled or does a new one have to be made to replace it?
Got the schematic for it the other day but don't have an engineer and there aren't any other plans for it on AH, so not sure what to set as a price point for it... :)

way back when, it used to create a single item with 20 charges, and people were taking advantage of that, using 19 and then selling them for full price, thats why blizz stopped it.
and yes, after you use 20 of them, you have to make more from scratch, you can combine stacks if you have 2 partial stacks, but thats about it

(1800 + 3000) / 2 = 2400 mana per use on average

Instead of taking 4 slots for each stack of pots, it takes up 1 slot in your inventory. I'll be making these when I gather enough.

from what i can tell, it looks like the only utility here is briefly freeing up a few bag slots, as potions stack to 5 rather than 20.
other than that, buying this recipe is just a really expensive way to level engineering.

It's not really that much more expensive. It stores 20pots in one slot, instead of 4 slots. Shares the same cooldown, and raises mana the same. This also applies to the healing pot injector.

yea only works for urself, got the schematic yesterday and decided to test it out, evidently the only thing its good for is saving bag space, engineering is so gimp

Get an alt to post you mana pots.
Leave em in the post.
Keep 1 stack in ur inventory. If you run out just go to any postbox.
I do this with arrows, pots, water, food.
Your postbox is like the cheapest 500 slot bag around

I do alchemy/engineering and my alt gathers minerals/herbs. Does anyone know if the mana injector effect is amplified by the alchemy trinket that increases the effect of healing/mana pots by 40%?

The manapotion injector cannot be recharged
But + side is i often get 2800-3000 mana from it instead of often 1500-2500 from super mana pot maybe the injecting part is the difference.

Is basically the "fun" proffesion in the game its obvious at the skill level of 120 already that its not going to make you any money and its going to be an amusing proffesion. if you dont have a half brain to enjoy this proffesions occasional amusing moments then dont go and complain about And if you think for two seconds now youll see that adamantine bullets can be a good moneymaker since theyre being buffed to 42 DPS in the next patch they will be the second best bullet in the game (after Timeless shells i think its called which needs rep you get for going into mount hyjal to buy)
Please just dont spam the forum about how much you hate engineering and blizzard. i can understand your annoyed and want to have a go at someone but it would be better to petition blizz in the regular Wow-europe forums rather than spamming thottbot(which is after all a site made to be useful)

all of you engineering haters can stfu, engineering is for fun and personal rewards like the mana pot injector and numerous other toys. if you're just out to make a quick buck then go into mining, skinning or herbalism, those are the straight out moneymakers... and engineering works well in PvP believe it or not... bombs, dragons, twink headgear at early lvs FTW

I'm surprised no one mentioned this, but the downside of carrying an injector rather than, say, 10 pots, is the inability to trade pots to someone that needs it. How often do you go on a long raid with your guildies and find some healer at the last 1 or 2 bosses asking for mana pots because they ran out?
If only they added a little extra value to this by either increasing the effect by 15% or reducing the cooldown to 1.5 mins...

On my Shadowpriest, I generally take 15-20 Super Mana Pots to a Kara or Gruul run (when we had both on farm status), and this item would not be of much use to me.
The injector is generally for hard core raiders that do not either need the gear for tailoring/leatherworking/etc. or do not need the extra money from mining/gathering/etc.
To back this claim, if you watch the "Curse vs. Archmonde" preview, both the paladin and the shadowpriest have mana and health injectors and carry 40 to 100 charges of each. If you plan on making
very, very fast PvE progression,
you will need those pots for numerous attempts.
This item saves about 16 slots for those raiders and is a must for them, but is useless for the majority of WoW players.

I take it you have never raided before?
Most caster classes have these things called reagents. It's required for spells we must cast for the group.
Mages: Arcane Powder (stacks to 20), required for Arcane Brilliance.
Priests: Sacred Candle (stacks to 20), required for Prayer of Fortitude, Prayer of Spirit, and Prayer of Shadow Protection.
Paladins: Symbol of Kings (stacks to 100), required for any of the Greater Blessings; Symbol of Divinity (stacks to 5), required for Divine Intervention
Druids: Flintweed Seed (stacks to 20), required for Rebirth (Rank 6); Wild Quillvine (stacks to 20), required for Gift of the Wild (Rank 3)
Shamans: Ankhs (stacks to 5), required for Reincarnation
Warlocks: Soul Shards (cannot stack), required for some of their damage spells and also for healthstones, soulstones, and summons. Further, many warlocks have a bag slot taken up SOLELY for their Soul Bag, which holds all their soul shards (I believe the largest bag is 28 slots). If they wish to have more than the amount of shards they have in their soul shard bag, they must carry them in their regular bags as well.
On top of that, mages have to carry around water and food for the raid. That's, easily, 1 whole bag filled. The reason that the mage has a whole bag filled is that it's a REAL pain in the ass to have to make water in the middle of the raid.
Let's throw in any mounts the raid has (we'll have it restricted to two per person, 1 land mount and 1 flying mount). Then let's throw in bandages, too. You can't always depend on the healers to heal you (unless you're the tank). So let's have that at 60 Heavy Runecloth Bandages per person (3 slots).
Many classes have an alternate set of gear. Sometimes it's resistance gear or DPS/Healing/Tanking gear, depending on their specs/classes. We'll reserve another 18slot bag solely for that.
Let's have 4 slots taken up for the following: 10 flasks, 20 battle elixirs, and 20 guardian elixirs.
Hunters have an ammo bag, so they can't have that fourth 18 slotter. Nor can any rogues or warriors that have an ammo bag.
Hunters also have to bring food for their pets, if they don't eat bread.
Let's not even count if they have another profession that requires them to carry around other items. Such as enchanting and the items gained from which, or alchemy and the need to carry around vials in case anyone needs any potions made during the raid.
You should seriously learn what a raid is all about before you make dumbass comments. :| You must've hated when they reduced it to 25mans, for your guild had no reason to bring filler morons such as yourself. :)

I'd be expecting to provide mats and maybe a small tip. Either that, or level an engineering alt with Thorium as the most expensive levelling item (in terms of time spent mining) on the way through.

This is cheap to make if you have the potions. I think it cost me a total of 5g to make. And being a warlock, the extra space i get from Health and Mana injectors is a nice thing to have for more soul shards

This item benefits classes with many regents more than any others! Classes that need bag space and mana like some shamans benefit hugely from this. It isn't useful for some classes bu immensely for others but hey, thats WoW!
