Very good for the common parties in instances, like: warrior, rogue, you, priest, mage. Warrior will keep aggro better and rogues do much more DPS, if u have to choose between this one and
when u're in an instance, go for the windfury totem. Since
only gives like 2-5% crit chance.
I have seen the info on this item but it doesnt say where to find them or what quest I should have to get it
does this work with a weapon skill? ex: rouge goes for ambush would it have a change to crit with windfury too?
i guess so, as it says each 'hit', and ambush is 'hitting' someone, so i guess so
but it would be a pretty small chance because of the chance ambush to crit + the 20% chance with this one
the 20% chance means the NEXT (extra) attack will get the + attack power, not the one which proc'ed it
so no, but it would give you a much better chance of a 2-hit-kill :)
There are two ways to modify a weapon's performance. Enchants like Crusader or Icy are permanant. Imbues like a rogue's poison or a blacksmith's sharpening stones are temporary. Both Windfury weapon and Windfury Totems take up the Imbue slot, so you can only have one of them active at a time. Long term imbues like poison take precedence over the totem's short buff.
the totem windfury does more damage then the regular windfury i think it should be the other way around (please note I am a shaman)
According to the tooltips, this totem's proc gives the recipient an additional swing with extra AP, whereas the Shaman's personal spell grants them a chance to proc for large amounts of damage.
Therefore, the totem is better when landing as many hits as possible is important, otherwise, the damage output is lower. This is, however, a good thing for Warriors, who will generate rage from the extra swing, Feral Druids, (Possibly Moonkin as well, with their chance to regenerate mana based on attack power and such), Pets, and perhaps even in the least likely of cases, your own shamanistic weapon who's enchantment or proc is infact, more rewarding than a true windfury (IE Debuff Proc on your weapon automatically, like from Nightfall 2h Axe for amplifying caster damage)
Does anyone else see this?
Windfury Totem will
stack with Windfury Weapon, or any other Weapon imbue that a Shaman can cast (Flametongue, Frostbrand, Rockbiter), it
imbue your weapon if you do not have a Weapon buff up, however, if you cast a Weapon buff, it will take precedence over the totem imbue.
So that one person's theory of Windfury Totem and Rockbiter Weapon at the same time, while being a good idea, would not work.. These totems are essentially a group weapon buff.
Windfurytotem+Seal of Command, they proc on eachother... gg blizzard :p
Sad thing this doesnt help, ranged attacks, feral druids or hunter pets T_T
Does this stack with windfury weapon?
doest this affect ranged weapons too?
No, I do not belive it does. Ranged weapons are held in the ranged slot, not the main hand slot. I'm not completely sure on this though.
