Healing Wave is a subpar heal to lesser healing wave but is an extremely nice combo with Nature's Swiftness which can lead to an instant mega heal especially if it crits.

Actually you may want to think before spreading mis-infomation. Healing wave is the BEST heal (save chain-heal set bonus) shamans get and the best heal per mana ratio. Talented healing way and 8 peice EF heals 3 people for a total of 4,600 hp for 655 mana and I didn't even factor in +healing gear in which healingwave receives more since its a 3 seconds cast compared to lesser healingwaves 1.5 second cast.

On Downranking this spell:

Downranking spellpower penalty only applies to ranks 1, 2 and 3, which, sadly are the only ranks with faster casting speed.
With +350 healing;
Rank 1 averages 93-101; real hps 68.0
Rank 2 averages 175-210; real hps 126.1
Rank 3 averages 325-375; real hps 193.5

"The penalty for downranking depends on the level at which the rank is available at the trainer. Let X be that level. There is a penalty only if X is less than 20. The penalty coefficient is (100% - (20-X)*3.75%). The penalty is multiplied after other coefficients.

Example: Healing Touch(Rank 3) is available at level 14 and has a 2.5 second base cast time. It gets 55.36% of bonus healing (being 77.5% * 2.5/3.5).

Spell power coefficients do not depend on your actual level."
