This spell in TBC is MUCH better. In normal WoW it had 10 sec duration and didnt increase Spirit but it is not the main reason why this spell become better. The main reason i think is Circle of Healing. In Spirit of Redemption you can cast it 10-15 times. 10-15 Circles of Healing = 5000-7500 hp without any +healing items. But normal priest with good +healing gear can heal much more. So i think it is very good spell and ofcourse i will take it in TBC.
Since patch 2.0.1, Spirit of Redemption has been upgraded to give 5% spirit to the priest that invests in the talent as well as lasting 5 more seconds than it used to.
These five seconds are absolutely crucial and as someone who has used both, I can really feel the difference.
The only drawback is that while they seemed to have fixed it earlier, there is a bug that sometimes kick you to character select after dying a second time as a spirit of redemption. I thought they had fixed it, however since 2.0.1 it has happened to me a few times. I hope it has been just unlucky for me and not something that happens for everyone.
Gief a similar skill like poulterguise (sp) for shadow spec :D When you die to take over the mind of the target that killed you :D
Anyway I loved this skill awesome in all cases of death, rocks in arena, as your primary target your friends can go all out while your being killed, if you cant survive then all they have done is given your group a full heal, but its one of those skills thats might be worth sacrificing for other skills which will mean you wont die, such as pain supression, damn hard choice.
Really funny in PVP, they target you but when you become a spirit you can spam heals like crazy and they have zero chance of killing whoever you're healing. I've healed a warrior through 7 people focus firing on him at once, until the redemption went away and he lost his healer.
Does anyone radius of this spell? Also does it heal all friendly targets, or just people in your group?
How ,many talent points does it require?
ok coz in the talent calculator it says it heals for like 1000 and then another 1000 over time(21 secs)
it dosnt seem like a verry good talent compared to whats on the ofical wow sight(and requires 20 in holy for the befor question)
This talent heals for around (yourlevel x30) instantly, and then (yourlevel x30) again over 15s.
Not a bad talent at all, has saved many a day so far on the raids I've been on, including MC and above.
Since Holy/Disc is the way to go for raiding anyways, this is awesome, and in PvP, it's a sure death for the enemy unless you're totally outnumbered :)
will the healing ammount increase when getting higher level?
i wonder, can i cast lightwell after my death? it is healing spell and it can heal 8000 hp for my party.
just like this: frost mage casts blizz, cancels it when agro is taken and do ice block while other party members use Lightwell.
Would you be able to use Holy nova while in this form, since its a healing spell? If you could then you could spam the Cr*p out of it to heal/damage for quite a bit..
this spell is amazing IN INSTANCES
i mean u get a second chance IN INSTANCES
it says that you BECOME the spirit of redemption not that it is its own thing and it heals other ppl. u have to do the healing. So i was wondering... your body would still be where you were, right? sooooo, it would be sweet if u could res urself... Probably never going to happen though. so, just spam prayer of healing...
oh right it only lasts 10 seconds...
do you die twice when you have this talent, for example, you die, lose 10% durability, then become spirit of redemption, then die again and again lose 10% durability? just askin
This spell rocks, but you die. However, if you have a warlock in your party and he gives you a soulstone.....
KICKASS FREE HEALS WITH QUICK REZ!
I absolutely love this for PvP healing. After I've already made a big difference in a battle, exhausted my mana, some rogue will usually pop out and kill me.
Bam! Spirit of Redemption and he proceeds to get stomped by my near-invulnerable allies with nonstop healing.
If you think 300-something damage at level 60 is horrible, think again. It scales per level, so, at around 48 it heals 750-770. So, you get the idea.
When it says friendly targets, does it mean just friendly targets in your party, or any friendly targets? Also, how far is the range?
This is currently bugged, counting as two deaths as far as res timer is concerned. Durability remains unaffected, though. (Unaffected means you only lose the 10% once, not both times you "die".)
Problem I've had with this talent is that with lag factored in I get about 3 seconds of the effect.
