Abilities Earned While Leveling from 50 to 60 in Shadowlands
The Level Squish necessitated a reassigning of the Levels at which each Ability is learned. Inevitably some of those fell beyond the maximum Level for Battle for Azeroth. These are the Abilities that Druids will gain access to as they level through Shadowlands.

Blizzard's Druid Patch Notes
Blizzard has released Patch Notes including the class changes for Shadowlands. The following is the class change summary for Druids.
Growl is now learned at level 9 (was 14).
Moonfire (Rank 2) is now learned at level 14 (was 9).
Master Shapeshifter: Balance Affinity no longer reduces the cast time of Starsurge and now also increases the damage of Wrath and Starfire by 20% for 10 seconds.
Master Shapeshifter: Feral Affinity now only increases bleed damage by 30% (was 25%).
Deep Roots now increases the damage required to break your Entangling Roots and Mass Entanglement by 250% (down from 400%).
Balance
Moon and Stars now triggers each time you enter an Eclipse, instead of when using Celestial Alignment.
Classes: Druid
General
Travel Form’s ground forms are no longer mountable.
The Stag Form ability has been renamed Mount Form and ground forms are mountable when using this ability. The ability is learned from Tome of the Wilds: Mount Form available in the Druid Order Hall, The Dreamgrove, and is automatically learned for players who have already learned Tome of the Wilds: Stag Form prior to the update.
The Lunarwing appearance is mountable when selected as the Flight Form appearance at the Barber Shop.
Lunar Strike has been renamed back to Starfire.
Solar Wrath has been renamed back to Wrath.
All Druids can now use the following abilities:
Ferocious Bite – Finishing move that causes Physical damage per combo point and consumes up to 25 additional Energy to increase damage by up to 100%. Requires Cat Form.
Barkskin – Your skin becomes as tough as bark, reducing all damage you take by 20% and preventing damage from delaying your spellcasts. Lasts 12 seconds. Usable while stunned, frozen, incapacitated, feared, or asleep, and in all shapeshift forms.
Cyclone – No longer a PvP Talent. Tosses the enemy target into the air, disorienting them but making them invulnerable for up to 6 seconds. Only one target can be affected by your Cyclone at a time.
Stampeding Roar – Shift into Bear Form and let loose a wild roar, increasing the movement speed of all friendly players within 15 yards by 60% for 8 seconds.
Ironfur – Increases armor for 7 seconds. Requires Bear Form.
Wrath – Hurl a ball of energy at the target, dealing Nature damage.
Swipe now capped at 5 targets.
The following Talents have been adjusted:
New Talent: Heart of the Wild (replaces Typhoon) – Abilities associated with your chosen Affinity are substantially empowered for 45 seconds. 5 minute cooldown. Shifts you into the appropriate form upon cast, except in Restoration Affinity.
Restoration Affinity: Healing of your Restoration spells increased by 30%, and mana costs reduced by 50%.
Balance Affinity: Damage of Balance spells increased 30% Damage of your Balance abilities increased by 30% and Starsurge is instant cast.
Feral Affinity: Damage of your Feral abilities increased by 30%, and critical strikes with attacks that generate a combo point generate an additional combo point.
Guardian Affinity: Bear Form gives an additional 20% Stamina, multiple uses of Ironfur may overlap, and Frenzied Regeneration has 2 charges.
Mighty Bash now stuns the target for 4 seconds (was 5 seconds) and has a 1 minute cooldown (was 50 seconds).
New abilities have been added to their respective Affinities:
Restoration Affinity: Ursol's Vortex
Balance Affinity: Typhoon
Feral Affinity: Maim
Guardian Affinity: Incapacitating Roar
PvP Talent changes:
Cyclone is no longer a Talent and learned by all Druids at level 48.
Heart of the Wild has been renamed to Strength of the Wild.
Balance
New Mastery: Total Eclipse – Solar Eclipse increases Nature damage by 11%, and Lunar Eclipse increases Arcane damage by 11%.
Eclipse passive has been redesigned and works with Balance Affinity (Talent): Casting 2 Starfires empowers Wrath for 15 seconds. Casting 2 Wraths empowers Starfire for 15 seconds. These Eclipses occur in alternation.
Eclipse (Solar): Wrath cast time reduced by 15% and damage increased 20%.
Eclipse (Lunar): Starfire cast time reduced by 15% and increases the critical strike chance of Starfire by 20%.
Starsurge now increases the damage bonus to Wrath and Starfire for the duration of the Eclipse and costs 30 Astral Power (was 40).
Celestial Alignment maintains both Eclipses and grants 10% Haste for 20 seconds. Starfall now has a 40 yard radius around the caster and moves with the caster for the duration, avoiding targets not in combat. Starfall damage increased substantially.
Shooting Stars is no longer a Talent and learned by all Balance Druids at level 49. Shooting Stars now generates 3 Astral Power (was 4) and the proc chance has been increased by 50%.
Moonfire and Sunfire now generate 2 Astral Power (was 3).
Wrath now generates 6 Astral Power (was 8).
Starfire now generates 8 Astral Power (was 12).
Celestial Alignment and Incarnation: Chosen of Elune (Talent) no longer have a global cooldown.
Innervate’s duration has been reduced to 10 seconds and it no longer has a global cooldown.
The following Talents have been adjusted:
New Talent: Solstice (replaces Shooting Stars) – During the first 6 seconds of every Eclipse, Shooting Stars fall 300% more often.
Nature's Balance now generates 1 Astral Power every 2 seconds while in combat (was 2 Astral Power every 3 seconds).
Soul of the Forest redesigned – Eclipse increases Wrath's Astral power generation by 50% and increases Starfire's damage to all other enemies by 150%.
Starlord now grants you 4% Haste for 15 seconds (was 3% Haste for 20 seconds).
Incarnation: Chosen of Elune now grants the benefits of Celestial Alignment and 10% Critical Strike.
Stellar Drift now increases Starfall duration by 2 seconds and damage by 15%.
Fury of Elune deals reduced damage on secondary targets.
PvP Talent changes:
Prickling Thorns now causes Entangling Roots to deal damage every 3 seconds instead of damage upon removal.
Moon and Stars radius increased to 5 yards (was 3 yards).
Feral
Survival Instincts now has 1 charge (was 2).
Rake deals 60% increased damage while stealthed (was 100%).
Shred deals 60% increased damage while stealthed (was 30%).
Berserk has been redesigned – Go berserk for 20 seconds, causing Rake and Shred to deal damage as though you were stealthed, and giving finishing moves a 20% chance per combo point spent to refund 1 combo point.
Berserk and Incarnation: King of the Jungle (Talent) no longer have a global cooldown.
The following Talents have been adjusted:
Sabertooth now extends Rip by 1 second (was 4 seconds).
Balance Affinity Moonkin Form no longer has a 90 second cooldown.
Incarnation: King of the Jungle now grants the benefits of Berserk, reduces the energy cost of all Cat Form abilities by 20%, and allows the use of Prowl once while in combat.
Bloodtalons has been redesigned – When you use 3 different combo point- generating abilities within 4 seconds, the damage of your next 2 Rips or Ferocious Bites is increased by 30%.
Brutal Slash now capped at 5 targets.
Guardian
New Ability: Berserk – Go berserk for 15 seconds, reducing the cooldowns of Mangle, Thrash, Growl, and Frenzied Regeneration by 50% and the cost of Ironfur by 50%. 3 min cooldown.
New Ability: Infected Wounds – Mangle and Maul slow the target’s movement speed by 50% for 12 seconds.
Incapacitating Roar now shifts you into Bear Form when used.
Berserk no longer has a global cooldown.
The following Talents have been adjusted:
New Talent: Renewal (replaces Ursol's Vortex) – Instantly heals you for 30% of maximum health.
New Talent: Tooth and Claw (replaces Lunar Beam) – Auto attacks have a 20% chance to empower Maul, stacking up to 2. Empowered Mauls deal 40% increased damage and reduce the target’s damage to you by 15% for 6 seconds.
Incarnation: Guardian of Ursoc has been redesigned – An improved Bear Form that grants the benefits of Berserk, causes Mangle to hit up to 3 targets, and increases maximum health by 30%. Lasts 30 seconds.
Pulverize now reduces the damage from the target by 20% for 10 seconds and has a 30 second cooldown (was reduces damage from all targets by 9% for 20 seconds).
Restoration
Ironbark now has a 1.5 minute cooldown (was 1 minute).
Swiftmend cooldown is now 15 seconds (was 25 seconds), costs 11% mana (was 14%), and consumes an active Regrowth, Wild Growth, Rejuvenation or Germination healing over time effect to instantly heal an ally.
Innervate’s duration has been reduced to 10 seconds and it no longer has a global cooldown.
The following Talents have been adjusted:
New Talent: Nourish (replaces Prosperity) – Heals a friendly target for 135% spell power. Costs 15% mana, 2 second cast time and receives triple bonus from Mastery: Harmony.
New Talent: Overgrowth (replaces Stonebark) – No longer a PvP Talent. Apply Lifebloom, Rejuvenation, Wild Growth, Regrowth's heal over time effect to an ally. Now a 1 minute cooldown (was 45 seconds).
Stonebark is no longer a Talent and its increased healing bonus effect will be learned once again in Shadowlands.
PvP Talent changes:
Encroaching Vines has been redesigned and renamed High Winds – Cyclone leaves the target reeling, reducing their damage by 25% for 4 seconds.
Nourish has been removed.
Revitalize has been renamed to Reactive Resin.

Balance Druid Shadowlands Class Change Highlights
Solar and Lunar Empowerments
are being strengthened and updated into Eclipses. Wrath and Starfire will grant each other alternating Lunar and Solar Eclipses for a longer duration, with special moments of Celestial Alignment allowing both to occur at once.
Starsurge
will extend the current Eclipse to continue focusing power into either Wrath or Starfire.
Starfall
returns to its previous design. Instead of needing to telegraph the affected area, Balance Druids again call down waves of stars, which strike the surrounding ground while they stand, run, or flap for its duration.

It’s a good foundation if the generators, the spenders, and the DoTs all feel like they reinforce each other in some way.

is changed: it now increases the Eclipse bonus rather than extending the duration (Eclipse duration will simply be fixed at 15s). It still serves similar goals—Starsurge feeding back into the Eclipse/nuke cycle, as mentioned, and some depth around resource planning/pooling. But overall less frenetic to not have to worry about keeping an Eclipse going, and frankly avoids some likely balance issues that would occur as Eclipse duration scaled nonlinearly with haste. This also allows the Starsurge-Eclipse mechanic to function with

that tightly is a big hassle when you have competing interests of when you need to refresh your Bleeds, when you have a lot of energy, when you need to use a finisher, and so on. Trying to find the sweet spot where it's not too onerous to use, but still provides a reward for planning your rotation.
Balance: Notably in this build, starting Eclipse requires 2 spells rather than 3. Doesn't require a big explanation, but should be strongly felt. In particular, the windup at the start of combat is much shorter (especially when you can precast 1 of the 2 spells).
We're also trying a version of
超凡之盟
that's not extendable to arbitrary duration; it was simply going to cause nearly certain balance problems later on. It is now a fixed-duration cooldown that still provides a large damage increase.

In Shadowlands, Druids can travel to their local Barber Shop and now choose their Bear and Cat Form appearances separately from their character’s hair or fur color. This addition to the Barber Shop services will also include the option to select Bear and Cat Form Artifact appearances so all Druid specs can have the choice to shapeshift into their unlocked Artifact appearances and allow Guardian and Feral Druids to have more choices with weapon transmogs when choosing their Artifact forms.
The Barber Shop will also allow Druids to select their favorite Aquatic, Flight and Travel Forms so that they will no longer require switching glyphs to change the animal forms. These glyphs will now become a one-time use to unlock the appearance and switch the forms easily at the Barber Shop.
What colors and forms do you plan to have for your Druid?

I do see the problem on Resto Affinity+HotW. But since Resto doesn’t have a native form, changing this would amount to saying “simply cancel any form when you press Resto HotW.” That feels like an odd thing to force on the player, when they can already cancel form at any time. In the current setup, a player who presses HotW and then decides they want to use another Bear or Cat option before starting to heal has the option, and that seems worth preserving–even if it probably makes you want to keep a Resto button accessible from your form.
Made Sylvatican Charm work with Frenzied Regen. It was designed with Resto HoTs in mind, but this is a neat interaction for people playing Guardian. Its uptime will still be much better if you keep Resto HoTs on yourself.
In general, Torghast powers have very little balance so far, so I want to be a bit careful about feedback over what build is strongest. The Druid synergies around shapeshifting (capped by the epic power Lycara’s Sash) are definitely strong, and that might distort the feeling of other builds until balance of Torghast a whole is further along. Our goal would be that something like Grasping Tendrils could play into a winning run, in a situation where it shines due to the presence of, say, Sylvatican Charm and Rootwood Scarab.

Eclipse: catching up (slightly belatedly) on updates this week.
Summarizing some of the biggest points coming out of early feedback:
–General negative feeling on the RNG startup of Eclipse. A few people did notice that there was pretty strong bad-luck protection on the proc, but ultimately that didn’t seem to help in this case.
–The idea of the 30s ICD wasn’t worth all the confusion. It was intended to simply alternate Eclipses in long combats, so it’s clearer to straightforwardly do that.
An important detail of the change (the number of casts to start an Eclipse is now fixed at 3) is that the count is visible in the default UI–highlighting this since it won’t be obvious to people who have only seen datamining. This lets you know, among other things, when you’ve been out of combat long enough to “reset” and be able to start with either Eclipse again, so you don’t have to guess about that. It also makes the mechanics clearer, for example that you can enter either Eclipse immedately after Celestial Alignment ends.
Another problem solved by no longer being random is that you’re not stuck in the middle of a “wrong” cast when Eclipse starts (Eclipse feels a bit longer when you play it in this version, for this reason). You can plan a buffed nuke or Starsurge crisply at the start of Eclipse, as well as allowing more advanced planning around DoT refreshes and movement.
Finally, it’s expected that there are better and worse Eclipse timings in a long encounter based on whether Wrath or Starfire is more valuable at given moments, and there’s some ability to manipulate it as you learn what’s coming. There hasn’t been a lot of opportunity for people to explore this yet, but Starsurge timing, DoT timing, Celestial Alignment, and choice of starting Eclipse are all ways to influence the cycle.

Responding to miscellanous questions/topics:
Astral spells getting double benefit in CA is currently intended. We’ll have to see if the mastery double-dip is too much.
AP costs and generation are generally slightly reduced to allow for better pooling (a few weren’t, such as New Moon, with the intention of buffing them). Starfall instead got a big damage increase, so you cast it less often but it’s more of a moment when you do. Stellar Drift’s utility may still be too good with the new Starfall.
Bloodtalons: The goals of Bloodtalons were 1) to keep the things we think people saw as cool about it (adding some planning to the rotation, snapshot bleeds are a good payoff for a bit of complexity) while getting rid of the weirdness of using Regrowth as a trigger. Many people dislike the latter, and frankly we think it’s pretty weird too. We don’t have an exact further revision to report yet, but the feedback is making me think it still needs to somehow buff spells other than Rip.
Stampeding Roar can still be used in Cat Form.
The “30 sec ICD” on individual Eclipses sounds like it’s drawing more attention than intended. The goal is to make Eclipses alternate while in continuous combat, but allow restarting with either Eclipse after any break. Since Eclipses often last 16 sec, plus a short gap between them, the idea of an “ICD” that matters while you’re in combat shouldn’t be too relevant or need to be tracked. There might be a clearer way of doing this.
Swiftmend will try to consume Regrowth, then Wild Growth, then Rejuvenation, so that its behavior is predictable.

I'm a bit worried about the feral changes, not only is their utility fairly low compared to other melees, but their limited utility has been made baseline for all specs and their survivability gutted with the removal of survival instincts while their damage left about the same (lackluster) and other dps have their damage buffed somewhat. Also, Bloodtalons look like a mess, just get rid of it and do something else, it looks clunky as hell.
I played druid through WOTLK and recently started playing BFA so I missed a lot, but some spells that were staple for druids are not back and I don't see how these changes are bringing back a similar gameplay feeling from back then (assuming this is what Blizzard is shooting for). I remember back then when I was pvping and needed to switch to Bear form I was still a threat because you could do some serious damage as Bear whereas right now being on Bear is just a joke as feral. You could throw some spells from range outside of cat form and they did serious damage too, you don't have that option now unless you have the affinity and I don't see this changing in Shadowlands.
It would be great to see the following changes:
Gift of the Wild and Mark of the Wild added back. A bit of utility brought back
Keep Survival Instincts on Feral or buff Barkskin for feral. They are at the thick of it and have absolutely 0 tools for surviving compared to their melee counterparts.
Leader of the Pack as a baseline passive for feral (maybe Guardian too), not a PVP talent. A bit more utility added
Reduce Prowl cooldown to 2 seconds for feral. Other specs keep it at 5s. Goes inline on making specs more "attuned" to their form.
Faerie Fire added back. I don't know about this, but just trying to get some utility back for druids.
Mangle added back and buffing bleeds. Might make rotation a bit more complex, but I loved mangle from wotlk.
Rejuvenation baseline. Feral really needs help on surviving while in cat form.
Buff hots so they are significant (regrowth hot is a joke), might as well just have removed regrowth and kept Healing Touch.
Make Savage Roar baseline, similar to slice and dice baseline for rogues.
Improve Berserk CD somehow, as it stands it's not nearly as impactful as other classes big cooldowns.
Increase damage of rake, rip and shred slightly.

I can just say what everyone else says about the stance of Feral in SL.
It lacks any real utility and just feels bland to play atm. The only interesting thing are the big crits of FB. I'm pretty sure that the BT change won't help there enough at all.
It was changed to Shred -> Rake -> Thrash - But as Thrash is such a weak button, i feel like it will simply continue the "I have to use this spell to do damage, although it simply feels wrong".
Something like "Do this combo, then your next spell will hit twice" would feel pretty amazing (With correct tuning of course).
Bleeds still feel more or less useless, as they even dropped below white hit damage in DPS (Except Rip, which is a bit above most of the time). Letting them wear off for a few seconds isn't really punishing at all.
Jagged Wounds made the playstyle more interesting and way harder. Especially when combined with Lunar Inspiration. In (the beginning of) Legion, it was said that Feral pretty much has no skillcap, as it was so dang hard to pull the rota off.
We either need a revert back to Legion Feral, or an general overhaul of most of the Spell in that regards.
Also, Feral Frenzy and Savage Roar within the baseline, with the damage bonus, that also was provided by the Artifact Spell, would buff the gameplay immensely. Berserk needs a hefty change to actually make it feel like a big Cooldown.
Oh, and speaking of gameplay feeling: Bring the old sounds back or improve the new ones. We currently sound like a Soft Balance Kitten instead of a Ferocious Predator that is attacking with claws and teeth.

As a long-time resto druid, I am excited for the return of many druid spells/skills (cyclone, heart of the wild, maim). I am very interested in how the new Covenant abilities will weave into the resto druid rotation. The only Covenant ability I foresee not being of much use for resto druids is the Ravenous Frenzy. Lasts 20 seconds and a 3 minute cooldown, and I don't think the ability is as cool as the others. The Kindred Spirits ability for healers can help a druid spot heal/tank heal much better for 10 seconds every minute. That seems like an interesting choice for a resto druid, but not useless. I can see Adaptive Swam being very useful in mythic dungeons and Convoke the Spirits is better for raids (assuming you can get a solid 75% of those 16 spells to rejuv/regrowth). I am curious if that makes the regrowth instant cast or .25 second casts or does it just apply the HoT? I have some questions about the Convoke the Spirits ability, as I am sure many do.

I think Level 35 Talent should be all CC choices and not Heart of the Wild because everyone will go in PVE with HoTW...

As a hunter, I'm very sad with feral druid changes...I mean...where is their utility and defensive skills? dude, I got fear for druids now, you know how easy is going to be killing a druid now? No utility, no defensive skills, just a few dps/rotation changes that doesn't help them. Hope they launch a new update for them soon.

I saw that they removed ironfeather armor from our pvp talents, so we lose a defensive ability.
We are then forced to use heart of the wild as talent and lose mighty bash in arena to replace that extra suvivability.
Because as balance you are already forced to stay in bear form most of the times because of all the melee trains.
And now it will be worse that we may not stand in moonkin form also.
Typhoon only will not keep them away. And they get a lot back as well.
The nerf to feral survivability is rediculous as well. Losing a 50% dmg reduction and getting only barkskin in return will force them as well to lose mighty bash as talent, only for the extra healing.

I would like to know what happened to the Legion Flight form that was the druid class mount? Are you going to give us an actual mount to replace our form? I mean now we have to go the Barber shop to get that form back? and it is nowhere near as big as the original flight form druid legion mount! So now we have to pay for flight and lose our class mount appearance? Seriously you just really ripped us off!
