Jeklik is the ZG "Bat" boss.
Crazy wench. Starts off in bat form and screams at you.
Phase 1: Bat.
AOE silence shriek. Also charges people in the raid. Keep your tanks far from your casters so they don't all get silenced.
Every so often a swarm of bats will fly from the cave at you. Have your mages coordinate their AOE fire, and any spare warriors/druids use their AOE taunt.
Phase 2: 50% health or so, she turns back into a troll. This is the hard part.
She'll start doing priesty-ish things, shadow spells and the like. Occasionally, she'll start casting a heal on herself - it is VITAL that you inturrupt it (counterspell, earth shock, what have you) or she'll be healed a HUGE percentage of her health.
Also, to make matters worse in this fight, bats flying overhead (not targetable) will drop pots of fire on you. These pots hurt. And they burn. So, move often, and don't stand in a patch of buring fire, because... well... it's fire. And it's burning. 'Nuff said.
If you inturrupt her heals, it's an easy fight and doesn't last too long.

What my raid usually did was casters in one group, meelee in another, and hunters by themselves in a third. The warrior pulled her over to the right of where she spawns, and everyone else takes a circular position around her. The casters who are going to be AOEing perform light nuking with fireballs etc. so they can remain outside a significant range. She randomly chooses and charges someone within an approx. 30 yard radius. Every 45 seconds or so, she'll do an AOE silence, and call her bats forth. At that point a warrior would come off of her and head straight to our caster group and throw off a Challenging Shout. Then it was easy AOE.
If you have light nuking from the AOErs, I've done it with getting her into human form with only one wave.
Once she hits caster form, you have from 50%-35% to get everyone set up. She casts a mindflay that does something around 4k damage, DOTs with curses like crazy, and then heal. Heal will do about 20% of her life, and needs to be stopped at all costs. Everyone throw it, because she will resist some.
At 35% she calls bats. Everyone needs to spread out in a circle around her. The warrior will start dragging her in a pentagon-octagon shape. This is so if a bomb gets dropped on the warrior group, they move out of it quickly.
She should die relatively easy at that point.
As for draining mana, I've done it with and without. If you don't drain mana, she'll die a lot faster and hit caster form sooner.However, if you can't stop her casts, you'll be doomed.
Three rogues kicking usually keep her from healing.
The tough part is when the bat bombs drop, you're on fire, and she starts healing and you have a choice between kicking her and dieing, or staying alive and watching the heal go off.
Your raid will love you if you stop that heal, even if you die. ;)
I have found it very helpful to have the new enemy castbar visible for this fight. Sometimes the ruckus around jeklik is distracting, and while the spell animation for her heal is huge and bright, it can still sometimes be missed. So, if you are one of the designated people to interrupt her spell, have this enemy castbar enabled in your interface options. When the bar pops up, you know what to do. =) (be careful you don't interrupt her mind flay instead, let the rogues kick her out of that. watch the bar and make sure it says that she's casting a heal)
really fun to kill with 4 persons. we did it at lvl 66-68. really much money.
<Escalation Elite> on Bronzebeard took her down on our first run at Zul'gurub! Took us 6 tries, but eventually we nailed the technique!
Pull her back beyond the totem pole. Campfire helps regen mana and HP, and the mana drain helped a ton. Once she is back to humanoid form kick the crap out of her to interrupt her spells. At 15%, start moving her around to avoid the bombs, and unload all DPS on her. She will drop like a rock after you get her below 5%!
Dropt Zulian Defender shield and Primal Hakkari Girdle for us.
Thralls chosen took her down on the Dalaran server yesterday on the second try, the first try we had her to 2% and accidentaly pulled her past the bamboo in the last percentage of health scramble, which of course causes her to rubber-band.
She dropped the zulian defender and one of the epic quest items for the caster set quests.

We downed her tonight on 3rd try.
If you pull her into the corner across from where she starts, she won't summon any bat adds. Around 50% she shifts into human form.
Around 40% she summons bomber bats, hight FR and good healing helps, you can continue fight her. Just have your rogues kick her once she tries to heal, mages CS her, priests silence and shammies earthshock.
Once we disrupted her casting, she went down easily.
she also drops a epic mace, one in my guild got it :) dont got a link up here but ill see if i can get one some time soon ;)
got to be honest there s no point in mana drain she has to much. she does heal but think of all the possiblilites that stops her from healing herself. I.E Rogue kick :P dps ftw
There is no point in draining her mana as mentionned many times before ! Why ?
1/ She can still heal herself with VERY little mana
2/ Bringing her mana down will bring YOUR mana down faster
3/ Her heal can be prevented much more easily :)
So what's the deal with hear ? ranged people on the right side of the main tank (who is facing the cave and the boss. casters below her so they can aoe incoming bats, others on the left :)
Pull her, tank her back to the bamboos in the middle, once aggro is gained DPS DPS DPS, use wand bolts to save mana too, but still deal some damage. AOE AOE AOE bats, pallys are to cover, of if you have an extra warrior, use area agro shout so that he will be focused during aoe, will save some heal for those casters :)
Once she reach 50% HP, she turns back to "human" form, then make sure to shield bash or kick for rogues any attempt to heal.
Once bombers are coming, make sure the tank move the boss around because more than the impact is the napalm left on the ground that will kill you in no time.
Also keep in mind that she silence, and she can rush people before going back to the one with aggro (fortunatly : your main tank). Silence is dangerous so keep her AWAY from casters :)

Well, at the point when fire start raining down from the sky around 1/3 of the ppl could have died from that. If your rogues and shaman died and there is nothing to stop her from healing herself. So if you drain her mana to 0 it is to prevent her from healing herself even without rogues or shaman. if she does get to heal herself... ur &*!@ed
If you drain her mana, the DPS is a lot lower, and she can heal herself in virtually no mana. If you are not draining her for 2 sec, her massive spirit gives her about 100 mana, and she will heal herself.
Draining is pointless, instead make lot more DPS, only one or two waves of bat, everyone will survive bat waves, and in second phase you can kill her easily. If you drain mana, lot lesser DPS, 3-4 bat waves will come, and healer will run out of mana, you will die in second phase.
We killed her about 6-7 times, believe me, manadrain is pointless. Wait till tank aggro, massive DPS, early kill.
Drops a nice SHAMAN shield. Not pally :D On pally its look like crap. Its clearly a shaman shield, IMHO. I dont care stats makes equally good it for a paladin.

We aren't a guild that farms MC or does BWL. We got together 20 members and we were able to kill her. She is hard for smaller guilds like us. Here's how to beat her:
1. Buff everyone up(duh)
2. Have shaman drop WF, Grace of air, or strenght during phase 1. During phase 1 go all out spellcasting and tanking damage.
4.She will send bats and Mage's start aoe and shamans drop earth bind early so they get slowed. The bats are no problem with a bunch of mages, druid, and shamans.
5. When she hit's phase 2 shamans drop Fire resist, and the one that removes fear etc. etc., everyone has to scatter or they will be hit by her fire bombs.
6. When she lands healers start healing and everyone else put in as much dps possible.
When we did this we lost half of our people because not everyone in our guild has all blues. Me and a few others survived. By the way this is coming from a Shaman's perspective.

Ok heres what i found deadly usefull for avoiding the bat bombers. Pull her all the way past the totem to a patch of grass, almost a mound. DPS her like crazy, have 2 spare mages and an OT(Off Tank) gain agro on the bat waves that come in. Use demoralizing shout that uses an area affect to gain aggro on the bats. Have the AOE rain down on the huddled up bats. Then back to DPSing the crap out of Jeklik. If you fight here on the mound that i was talking about the bomb bats do not come. Meaning that if you get her to 50% when she goes back to humanoid form its a peice of cake if the tank can hold agro will others send in medium/hard DPS on her. Kick, pummel, silence when ever she attempts to heal. If she heals you just made your life alot harder....
Looks like bizzard exchanged exploits with the wave of bats and the bomb bats. I would only use these strategies for a begining guild. Otherwise you want to chalenge yourself and get ready for the worst of situations.
Got this today after the patch, one item in the new loot table.

Well, my guild tried ZG for the first time last night to see where we stood on everything. We are DEFINATELY not equipped well enough for it. I was the MT for the group and had a 7.1k armor unbuffed, 370 Defense, and right at 5k health. I could drop down to about 6.9k armor and go up to a 390d but woul lose some valuable life. We only wanted to see how we could do and only did the snake bos (EASY) and then the bat boss. Since none of us had gone to ZG prior to this, it was rough not knowing how to pull, sheep, where to fight or anything. We soon learned, simple enough, sheep the Blue snakes, Dps the littles ones. We realized what the bats do whenever they Die (the elite ones) and figured out that I need to pull them away from the group and do a RW when hes gonna kersplot so the rogues and everyone can back off from the explosion. We had deaths, of course, but no wipes until the Bat Boss.
Not knowing how to fight this %^&*! is ROUGH! First pull, I tanked and Died cause of not enought healing with the spike crits. Soon after that, the entire group followed. We didnt even manage to get her out of bat for so the adds kept showing up. ... Wipe one ...
Sencond time we got ready for the adds by letting me pull then having the mages run into place at the bottom of the ledge for AoE. I tanked while they AoE the bats to death and then went to DPS. Finally got her out of bat form...and thn...soon enough...the fire starts pouring down and i am the only one who realizes that we are tanking damage. I back up but she doesnt follow. She HEALED! OK...suprise number 2....back to almost full life....healers running OOM.....we died.
... wipe two ...
Third time, we decided that i was going to put it on walk and then just slowing back her around the arena in circles whenver she got in that form. Bat went sm0oothly enough, then came the priest. Some people could just NOT stay out of the fire. We were doing really good when she feard and got a heal off. We were sure we were gonna wipe but she didnt heal that much cause luckily one of our warriors got off a MS before the fear. I immediately picked her up again and walking around the hunters in the middle. She feared again, this time, she ran everhone into 2 bombs. All died but 5. With the remaining 5 (myself included) we dropped this !@#$%.
I know that we should have read on here first, but where is the fun in that? Leaning is a fun way to experience the game because you do not know what to expect. For underequipped players and being the FIRST time into ZG, i thought we did a pretty decent job. We shortly left after that due to some members having to work early in the morning (our 2 priests, 2 mages and our lock). So, as this is NOT an easy fight if you dont know what you are doing. We had a blast learning it on our own and then prevailing in the end.
my guild downed her last night and she droped : Primal Hakkari Girdle , Zulian Defender , and Zulian Scepter of Rites. warrior got the girdle and two shamans won the shield and mace.

A paladin stands between MT and all others, acting as a charge shield, this is because Jeklik will charge the nearest to her at points during bat form. MT pulls her down. At three sunders, Melee can go in and DPS nuke.
We have found it easier to have three mages, and assign them an order for when the bat waves (usually three of, but two if we dps Jeklik quick enough) come.
When the waves come all apart from MT and OT leave Jeklik, and come to fight them. However, only one mage aoes, and the other conserve mana, this prevents there being all manaless mages for the next wave, and works very nicely.
When wave down, all melee back to Jeklik.
During the fight we usually keep up Viper sting on her from Hunters, she seems to heal regardless of whether or not she has mana, but it's worth a try anyway, it might make a difference.
At 50% Jeklik will gain Human form, all those previously behind Paladin meatshield are now free to spread. At this point she will start trying to heal herself. MT needs to create a macro that warns others she is healing, at which point, shield bash, kick and counterspell to prevent her from doing so.
While this is happening waves of bat bombers will attack the group. The drop bombs which hit the top three threat targets. If a bomb hits you, run, because the fire it leaves on the ground will kill you.
Nuke DPS, avoid the bombs, don't let her heal, and she's down :)
I like this boss so much. So easy even without MC drops. 2 mages with 1 priest is fine to AOE. others DPS + heal MT. 1 waves of bats came last run. it was so !@#$in nice DPS :))
If you are 16-18 with 3 mages you can down him. The main point is to keep them alive before the 50% reached. After that heal MT, and 1 man on raidheal. So simple.
I'm not sure how it's changed since 1.12, but I went into ZG with a PUG group on Feathermoon (Horde) and we dropped Jeklik on the first shot. We had the MT tanking Jeklik in the center of the aera (Infront of the bat cave) Once the MT had the needed sunders for agro rogues and OT's moved into combat range and casters/hunters let it fly from the side of the fight. Once the first wave of bats came in, one of the three OT's moved back to the caster group and layed down a Challenging Shout, drop the bat wave and head back over. And as for managing Jeklik's mana, there's no point, sheild slams/bash, and some well placed kicks do the trick nicely. Once the bombing run starts everyone spreads out, except tanks and rogues. Melee keeps a close range to Jeklik as it seems that the bombers avoid Jeklik. Casters and Healers move to random spots for the remainder of the fight.
For a PuG group in ZG we did pretty well, Made it to Arlokk with only one wipe, and that was on Thekal.

My guilds only just started raiding ZG and tbh we have only done veno and jek (and we have only done her once), last time we went though we just could'nt beat her, don't get me wrong taking her life down and interupting her heals is easy as pie and we had no problem doing that, but as soon as the bombers come out they kept killing off all the dps so there was no one left to actually dmg her, ppl who say "just run out of the fire" are'nt being very helpfull, you can run out of the fire but it does'nt matter, the intial hit the bombs get you with nearly kills you and you can be sure another one will get you after that, i ran around everywhere trying not to get hit but they still got me as you can't keep an eye out for them and do your dmg on her. We are not an epic guild and as i've stated have only just started doing this but if anyone's got advice about the bats please reply, it would be most appreciated :)
She is easy...My guild downed her on first try, with NO deaths. Not one death. Let the tanks and non-mana users stay on one place, and all mana users a bit further away. Then dps as good as you can, and when she spawns bats, mana group immediately kills em, and goes back to Jeklik. Then, when fire bombers come, just spread out. use CS/Slam/kick when she tries to heal.
We took her down at our 1st try
Any advice on how to take her down? The bat adds are munching our group. Help please!

She also does a hefty heal occasionlly, so rogues and warriors with spellalert should look sharp and be ready to shield bash or kick when she starts to cast her heal..... shortens the fight by quite a bit.

my guild defeated her the other day. this is what i noticed since we wiped 4 times and got to see her in action
We didn't try pulling her all the way to the wall so not sure if it works.
she yells some crazy stuff about wings of vengeance when you first pull her and she transforms into a bat/gargoyle looking thing like in the picture above.
she'll randomly charge people other than MT and she'll sporadically cast a 1000damage aoe silence.
sometimes she'll do this right after she charges so don't keep your healers grouped they should make a half circle around her on the "away" side of the cave where the bats come from.
when the bats come have a paladin go concecrate and pull aggro off who ever they randomly select. also if the paladin casts righteuous fury this will help him keep aggro when the mages start AOE.
when she transforms she can become quite difficult she does this at 50%
when she transforms she eventually calls bats to come bomb you with fire this can wipe you in seconds i've noticed it is pretty random and the longer they're around the more they start bombing also the fire stays quite long so dont run into it
one recomendation is that you dont stay still longer than you have to cast and move main tank should be running around and when your hit there will be a "blast wave" type effect erupt from you
when she starts her heal try to bash her or kick her counterspell doesn't work. and she can heal herself with no mana.... it sucks
pallies pull aggro for bat adds
keep healers spread out for bat form to avoid mass silence
keep moving when bomb bats arrive
kick/sheild bash when she starts channeling siphon
aoe the bats...
they are going down pretty fast...
We dont have any problem getting her down to under 20 % but the fire bombs endup getting us. We spread out, and tried to avoid the incoming bombs, but just dont have time to move and heal, and watch for more bombs, and nuke ect ect ..
Any strat on how to avoid the fire bombs ?
HOW TO KILL HER POST 1.8:
The trick is to keep the bats away from her. Tank the priestess about 40 yards from the cliff she jumps off. Leave all the mages and warlocks about 10 yards from the cliff between the cliff and the tank. Make sure your healers can reach both the tank and the mages/'locks.
The bats die fast and don't do tons of damage. Any decent warlocks with you will have 5-7k health all buffed up. Have them hellfire. They are much easier to heal even like this than a mage with 2.5k health. The hellfire will keep the mages alive and the healers can focus more on the 'locks that are doing more damage. Have paladins ready with BoP for any close calls. You can't afford to lose any mages/'locks in this fight.
From where you AOE you should be able to drain mana on the priestess as well. However it is CRITICAL that someone aoe's the second the bats come through you, or they will swarm the tank and killing them will be tough, as her AOE silence isn't very AOE friendly... At 50% the bats stop coming. She should be out of mana at this point and you have to be ready for the next phase. Keep a hunter mana sting on her the whole fight. One is sufficient.
The final phase of the fight consists of fire bats dropping fire bombs. Don't stand in these. Fire resist gear is also a good idea for this fight. The main tank is gonna dance her around quite a bit here too. If he's smart, you don't have to worry about any melee being dumb cause they'll follow the tank. Overall a very easy fight once you get past the technicalities.

We are a new professional raid group on Earthen Ring server, run by myself on the side to the Lunar Tiger Knights, this is how the Topless Raiders have managed it:)

In stage 1, Bats spawn, we pulled her far enough from the cave that they DIDN'T, so this may be useful to know... We pulled her all the way over to the wall, and there were no adds...
i´d like to see any post about how this boss is after patch 1.8....now, the"trick" of kkeping her away from cave don´t work,and she summond adds all the time....harder,now it´s harder
Our Group found a way to deal with the bats effectively. Just so you know, my group did not actually beat her, our armor got to screwed up. But, this is how it works. When the bats come have about two of your groups focus on the bats until the bats are all gone. Then, have them switch back to the boss. When she switches to troll form, at least, it worked like this for us, she stops sending out bats. But you still gotta take on about 3-4 waves of bats using this strategy. But, I think that if you get past the last wave of bats. You could take her down.
I dont know if anyone has worked this out yet but we have tried to kill her a few times and although we have failed due to lack of numbers on our 1st run we got her down to 13% and we didnt have a single add appart from the bats she summons that drop fire bombs.
if you pull her far enough away from the wall when she calls for help nothing happens because shes to far away from where the bats spawn.
also you can make her reset so if it looks like a wipe and you dont have a SS or something then if you can res just run for your life back towards the slope. She will reset and not kill you so you can come back res everyone and have another bash.
we have our tactic sorted pretty much its just the fire bombs get us. Also a warlock mana draining aswell as a hunters sting is needed. We had a warlock and a hunter on mana drain from the start and she stil had over 15k mana when she got to 50%. possibly if you could spare a priest for mana burn also would be helpful. and yes keep the stings on her after its drained as she healed 20%+ of her health back with only 500 mana one time >_< it also stops her fearing which can be a bugger if you aint got a dwarf priest with you.
Yup I can confirm that if you pull em away from the cave past the totem the bats dont come. Expect this can be concidered an exploit so be careful.

We once killed he ron a testserver so I don't know if she is still the same. Anyway: As soon as the attack stars have one hunter mana drain her with Viper sting (finally a use for us outside of mc which only we can do properly), I didn't have my addon on the server to sse how much mana she actually had but it took about 10 stings = 10k mana. As soon as she reaches 50% life she turns to troll-form and starts casting, by that time her mana should be gone but still keep stinging her or she will cast some sort of aoe Mind Flay.
Drop were a necklace with 5 mana every 5 secs and 22 spell damage/healing ( I believe.. not too sure of the numbers anymore) and a Primal Hakkari Aegis which ist needed for the armor-set-qeuests.
As to the ads: a bit aoe and they're down pretty fast.. actually the path to her was war more painful until we worked aout when to get away from the exploding bat-riders.
And yes, she is immune to virtually nothing, keep interrupting her casting/silencing her as much as possible.
We had no real problem to kill her after the first try (9% wipe...).
She dropped Jeklik's Opaline Talisman for one of our paladins.
This is very basic.
#1.) Start fighting her as normal, with at least one of the paladins ready to AE the bats which will come, along with which other AE casters you have (Mages preferrably).
Keep taking out the adds as they come while everyone DPS's her. Rogues, Paladins (use G for last hostile re-target, or simply your assist key) and Hunters have to keep her from healing.
When she goes into her final human stage, and begins to bomb you with fire, everyone has to keep an eye out for the fireballs flying their way while burning her down with every DPS ability they had saved for this moment.
she's easy, just spread out when bombs come, tank runs around and keeps aggro while every melee goes melee like $%^&.
Also watch your raid assist for when she is healing to stop her.
if she doesn't heal 1 time and tank keeps alive then u gotta have this boss.

She isn't so hard to do. Just have one warrior tank her and keep agro. Have at least 2 healers healing the tank and have all possible classes(warlock, (shadow) priest and hunter (with sting)) drain her mana. When her mana is gone, have one part of your raid fighting the bats while the rest kill her off. Without mana she can't heal nor call the carpetbombing bats.
Pulling her beyond the totems, and thus prevent her from calling the bats (e.g. avoiding a script), is considered an exploit by Blizzard. Even without pulling her beyond the totem she is doable, just keep DPS on her to get her down to 50% asap and stop the adds.
Dropped this punk tonite on hellscream server,, wiped twice.. Destroyed her the 3rd time,, is a very mean fight,, but damn does it feel good.
For the record,, we only had one mage. It can be done.
Drain her mana move out of the fire,, and keep that precious mage alive.

As of the new patch 1.12, Jeklik in human form is doing a Chain MindFlay that can whipe the raid if not counterspelled quickly. That means, kick, shieldbash, counterspell, earthshock to stop her from doing it.
Other than that, she will go down easily
10 manned her with only one death. 1 Druid, 1 hunter 1 Priest, 1 Pally, 2 mages, 2 warrior, 2 rogues. Had a great time doing it too... = )

All you have to do is get all the casters to form by the tree in the center of the room, in a tightly packed group.
Have the tank pull her down. Wait for a few sunders before calling in the rouges and dps, like all boss fights.
When she spawns the waves of bats, have the mages (Flamestrike is best) and other AoE classes pull the bats back to the caster group. Then AoE the bats down, healers be sure to keep heals on the AoE'ers.
Like said below kick and sheild-bash her when she starts to cast her heal (hands glow green) When the bomb-bats come out be sure to spread out and get out of the fires. This is very important for the malee on Jeklik, when a fire goes down on her be sure to keep the melee group moving, makeing sure to keep interupting her heals. Soon enough she will be curseing out Hakkar!
We had a mage freeze the bats and then aoed them till they died.
Also, make sure to mana burn her other wise she will just keep rejuving herself.

Was really weird
Warriors charge and drag her away from cave, and she ignore them and killed all priests in raid one by one =/
next thing she killed druids
we was clearly impressed =/
anyone notices this type of actions b4 ?
New in patch 1.12 for this boss is that she does a kind of Chain Mind Flay thats takes the raid down if not counterspelled quickly, that means, kick, shieldbash, eartshock anything that interrupts it.
I can confirm a drop, I got this sheild when my guild killed her. Cut and paste link to get it to work, I don't know why.
Here's how we killed her;
Our tank puller her back to the small patch of grass witht he single flower on it and tanked her there. She is like a Lava Surger in MC she kept randomly hitting our players but returning back to her original position on the tank. You'll notice two sets of tall green bamboo looking trees on either side of the area where you are fighting. If you pull her past them Hakkar WILL yell to her and she will go back to her cave and regain all her life. Keep your mages/healers/paladins/hunters in front of the green sets of Bamboo, or else-well you know-and you will have no problem with this boss. When she turns to Troll form she will try to heal herself, have your rogues kick her or get counter spell cast on here. IMO I don't think this is considered an exploit because if you drag her to far, she gets ported back and regains full health.

We did it 12 man, pretty hard, but doable
we also mana drained her, but even if she has absolutely no mana, she can still heal. So what other point is there to mana drain her?
