Macro to target shades -> totems -> jindo. All ranged and melee must kill shades and totems as quick as possible!
/script local T,mt,C="target",{"Jin","Brain","Powerful","Shade"},ClearTarget;for i=4,1,-1 do TargetByName(mt)if(UnitExists(T)and UnitIsEnemy("player",T)==1)then if(UnitName(T)=="Sacrificed Troll" or UnitIsDead(T))then C()else break;end else C();end;end

Only people cursed can see the shades Jin'do spawns during the fight, so everyone must fight them when they can. It is advised to have warlocks and priests simply dot as many shades as possible when they're cursed, as around 2 dots on each shade should be enough to kill them.
Other than that, keep totems down and have a mage AoE the skeletons from the pit when someone is teleported there.

When my guild first started killing Jin'do we used the strategy that involves killing shades. However, now that we are in MC/BWL gear, we use a slightly different strat.
The overall goal is to nuke Jin'do before there are too many shades up. Other then ignoring the shades there are not too many differences between this and the more popular strategy of killing all of the shades.
Important points for this fight:
*If at all possible have a feral druid tank Jin'do, they are immune to polymorph. Nothing is worse for this fight then your tank getting sheeped and Jin'do running amok killing your raid.
*You must have a mage in the skeleton pit, AOEing whenever the little buggers come up.
*A warrior should have Mortal Strike always on Jin'do. Rogues should always have Wound Poison up on him. This helps when there is a healing totem up.
*Kill order for this fight is as follows: Powerful Healing Totem, Mind Control Totem, Jin'do.
*Notice that Shade of Jin'do is not listed on the kill order list. The jist of this fight is that with all of the elements in place, and a well geared raid, you can get Jin'do DJ'ing the big party in troll heaven before his shades overwhelm your healers.
This strategy is probably not the best strategy for your raid to start out with, it is very gear dependent. However once you have the gear, it will just get easier with time.

This is the tactic my guild used at Hexxer. There are lots of different tactics for Hexxer, just pointing out 1 of them.
Hexxer's Abilities
<---------->
Jin'do has several abilities that he uses in the fight. They are as follows:
Curse of Shades: At random points during the fight, Jin'Do will place a curse on a member of the raid that simultaniously creates a shade mob. The shades are elite mobs with low health (roughly 1500) but can only be seen by those who are affected by the curse. The curse lasts roughly 15 seconds.
Teleport: Jin'Do will teleport members of the raid into a nearby "pit" that is filled with skeletons.
Healing Totem: The Hexxer will drop a healing totem that gradually increases his health. This totem has just over 1000 hp.
Mind Control Totem: Like his healing totem, Jin'Do drops a totem that will take control of a member of the raid. This totem also has just over 4000 health.
Strategy
First off, it is best to have a mage put on "pit" duty, as there needs to be someone AEing the skeletons. The skeletons that are in Jin'Do's pit will respawn about 20 seconds after they have been killed, but someone needs to be able to take them all down and allow anyone teleported an escape chance.
DPS should be focused on the totems; with healing totems being the big priority and then mind control totems being taken down next. Members of the party who are mind controlled right away should be sheeped while the totems are destroyed, having less of an impact on the raid's health.
In regards to the shades that Jin'Do summons when he curses a member of the raid; they need to be killed ASAP as once the curse ends no one else can target them and if their numbers are not kept in check, they will wipe the raid. It has been stated that DOTing (Shadow Word: Pain, etc, etc) them will keep them under control since they have such low health (1500).
Once the totems are killed and the DPS begins to bear down on Jin'Do, it is essential that those recieving the curse in the raid center on killing shades and help control their population. Since every person who is cursed creates a shade, each person should be killing one shade. If the shades and totems are kept under control, Jin'Do will fall to concentrated DPS.

The hardest boss in Zul'Gurub, but also the most fun one and a good preperation for Molten Core. If you can kill Jin'do, you should be able to do Molten Core.
Abilities
- Hexxes a random secondary target
- Throws out Healing and Mind Control totems
- Warps a random target into a skeleton pit with 10 skeletons
- Curses people with a small DOT
- Spawns a Shade of Jin'do that attacks the party and is invisible to anyone without the curse
Tactics
- Never overnuke Jin'do. If you do, he Hexxes or Mind Controls the main tank and it's end of story
- Use Shadow Protection buffs on everyone
- Do not dispel the curse on anyone but the main tank
- If you are cursed, ignore everything around you and focus on killing the Shades. They have 1500 health and are immune to AOE.
- Have a Mage look at the pit all the time and AOE the skeletons when someone gets warped into it. Have a secondary mage standby incase the first one gets cursed
- Kill the Healing (1000 health) and Mind Control (2000 health) totems whenever they pop
Notes
The main thing to remember here is Jin'do doesn't kill you, the Shades of Jin'do do. They hit you for 1 Shadow damage every 1.5 seconds, and Shadow Shock you for 600-800 Shadow damage every 10 seconds. Their damage isn't high, but if you ignore the Shades, you can have as many as 20 or 30 up, and they add up. They have 1500 health, are immune to AOE, and have high magic resistance. Any Rogue, Warrior (not MT), Warlock and Hunter that gets cursed should be able to kill at least 3 shades. Mages and Priests are the worst ones to get the curse, don't expect them to kill more than 2.
Drops
Jin'do will drop 1 Epic Quest Item, as well as 2 other items from his loot table (2 Blue items, 2 Epic items, or 1 Blue and 1 Epic item)
Keep the Shades under control and the fight is pretty easy. Movie available (with Ventrilo commentary)

It's simple once you understand whats happening.
You got the following:
The Boss - Jindo = let tank get some aggro, couple of % is enough.
Healing Totem = nuke, heals 1k a second
Mind Control = have a few people assigned to it.
Skeletons = have a couple of mages nuke them every time they spawn, that way no one gets damaged when they get teleported.
Curse = The curse is actually helpful, so don't remove it, each time 1 curse is applied, 1 shade spawns, as 1 person can see it, that person needs to kill it, they dont have much health.
Pets = Leave them on auto attack, they can see the shades.

A warlock on this fight needs to make best use of his instant cast dots. The curse only lasts for 15 seconds so launching shadowbolts isn't going to affectively kill shades quick enough.
I usually get the curse a while into the fight and by the time I get the curse I usually see 3-5 shades up. I just throw corruption and curse of agony on all of them that I can.
Have your druids moonfire and your priests SW:P. 1500HP is not a lot of damage when you throw multiple dots on the targets that are up.

have at least three warlocks in your party. let them control three of the imps between the tiger and the bloodlord.
each bolt of the imps damages jin`do for about 1% of his life and they shoot a bolt about every second. they get out of mana very fast but the last few HP left will be easy to take down by the rest of the raid.
we never failed with this tactic.
I know this tactic sounds strange but it works well :)
@ warlocks:
dont forget to cast shadowresistance debuff on the imps before taking control of them to make the control last a bit longer ;)

Killed him last night after 5 or 6 wipes. The tactics we used are more or less same with the first few posts here. Common tactics are:
1) Get everyone to be curse by Jin'do so all can see the shades.(the one without curse will be attack by all the shades >.<)
2) Dpsers, healers and casters kill all the shades and totems asap and ignore Jindo for a moment while he is being tank
3) One mage+paladin combo on the skeles pit task if anyone been teleport there (pally heal mage while doing aoe as well)
4) Melee dpser don't overnuke Jindo if not will be mindcontrolled.
5) Druids, heal and dps(cat) and dont just stay in caster form since all dps is needed for shades and tottems. Priests need to put SW:P on every shades too, do as many dmg as you can but dont waste mana since healing is the most important part, and dispel all the 'turn to frog' magic asap.
5)Pets are some what important coz they can see the shades and auto attack them with or without curse. (warlocks and hunters pet but not mechanical yeti lol, never try that before tho)
6)Drain his mana when he is down to 20-30% so there will be less or no more healing/mc tottems spawn.
7) Please remember, the one who got us wiped were the shades and mind control tottems, not Jindo himself.
Hope this help, cause the whole fight is very flexible depends on player skills, style and the raid make up. Amend tactics depend on situations and bring this bastard down. Goodluck !

Me, as a priest, I just smite one of the Shades to Death if I get the curse.
- Smite the one that spawns from my body ...
I've tried the sw_p technique, here's what came out :
resist, resist, whee worked, resist, resist, resist, resist, whee worked, resist
And then I was quite oom.
Oh and i'd like to add that the imp technique does not work.
It breaks often. Imp broke 3 times before we got to jin'do ...

This fight is basically 1 big assist train.
- main tank stays on jindo
- everyone else assists to kill stuff fast
all dps use this macro:
script local T,mt,C="target",{"Jin","Brain","Powerful","Shade"},ClearTarget;for i=4,1,-1 do TargetByName(mt)if(UnitExists(T)and UnitIsEnemy("player",T)==1)then if(UnitName(T)=="Sacrificed Troll" or UnitIsDead(T))then C()else break;end else C();end;end
with this the entire raid can focus fire on the biggest threats in order.

First let me say that me and my guild are no where near "Epic'ed out." We've been running MC for a few weeks and have been running ZG for a couple, maybe 3 months.
Our strategy is to main DPS the Hexxer. We don't worry about the shades at all. Have a mage or two switch in and out of the Skeleton pit. DON'T wait for the someone to be teleported in the pit and get the skeles on them, keep the pit clear of skeletons at all times so it can be a clear transition if someone is ported there.
If you are cursed, target no shades except for the ones on the Healers and Casters. Other than that, throw all your DPS at the boss and have the MT tank like any other boss.
Totems should be KOS for everyone except the MT. You need to take them down as quick as possible to make this fight as short as possible. The reason being because the shades are beating on you guys the whole time. A great tip is for the priests to Shield whenever their cooldown is ready. Mainly Healers and then Mages should be priority since they're interrupted by the Shades.
We've killed the Hexxer multiple times with this strategy.

Wow interesting...so let me get this straight..
Got to worry about the skeletons in the pit.
Shadow resistance.
Shades
Priests need to dispel frogs
Mind control totem..if a mage gets mc'd GG?
Healing totem
Overnuking
Mana draining
So umm...when do you have enough time to actually DPS the boss?
Sounds like half the raid needs to be composed of healers too.

The thing about Jin'Do is that, to really beat him without being way too strong for the fight, you need to do something most people are very reluctant to do:
Let the Druid Tank.
That's the big trick. People can't stand this idea, but that's the trick to the fight (just like getting purposely poisoned is important for Hakkar).
Jin'Do is a boss designed to be tanked by a Druid. He turns people into Frogs - but Bears are immune. He's even completely vunerable to the Druid's bear-form taunt, but still immune to the Warrior's taunt spell, like other bosses here (I speak more from second-hand experience - a Druid who tanked him told me this strange little quirk of his).
Jin'do doesn't even hit that hard himself, so you do NOT need the damage mitigation of the Warrior on him.
So if you really want to make the fight easier - either let one of your Druids re-spec Feral, or go out looking for a Feral Druid that has collected decent-to-good Tanking gear.

Probably the hardest thing about this fight for everyone is switching targets. Since the healing totems need to die within a second or two of dropping, and you only have 15 seconds to target and kill shades per curse, here are some helpful macros: (listed in order of priority)
HEALING TOTEM
/target powerful healing totem
MIND CONTROL TOTEM
/target brain wash totem
SHADES
/target shade
BOSS
/target jin'do
Have your entire raid make these 4 macros. These wil help you get on the totems in particular as fast as possible. Forget click targeting, Jin'do drops the totems right in the thick of melee.
Extra tips our guild uses -
- If you have a good bear tank, USE him
- The more melee DPS you have the better, not for Jin'do, but for the totems and shades
- all warriors MUST burn their fear every 3 minutes, make a macro to remind warriors
This fight is as fun as a boss fight gets, once you can beat him.
Shadow Council
Confederation
Brookye - 60 tank

I have a lvl 60 feral druid, and I was one of the tanks for Jin'do last night. He is immune to both Growl and Demoralizing Roar. Which means the only aggro tools I had were DPS (maul and swipe) and feral fairie fire.

First of all, we did not drain mana from him.
It might help in the fight thou if the rumors of him not being able to drop heal totems are true.
Tried this once before patch but he still dropped the totems that time at least.
Before patch we had wiped here several times, always in the end too many shades to handle and after that players could not take totems as fast as needed down anymore.
What did we do differend?
People listened in the beginning of the fight.
This is quite easy if everyone except the MT understands to kill the shades as much as humanly possible when the curse is on.
Nothing else in this fight is even worth mentioning. You can practically torture hexxer to death if the shades stay down. -.-
Even our offtanks rushed all around killing shades when cursed. Only one who did not do so was the MT. If MT got jinxed, he was dispelled right away.
No problem. Agro stayed on him or on one of the MS warriors.
Make sure locks / mages dont over nuke. Use DoT as much as you can, you can even use wand to him and save mana to shades. Let Warriors, rogues and hunters who can feign / vanish or hold agro at his original position do the damage dealing. Locks keep him dotted so they deal damage to him too while fighting shades when they get cursed.
This way the hexxer stays in same spot all the time and the totems drop nicely near the Totem group and are easily killed. Every ranged can and should help on destroying the totems every now and then. The totem group is what watches the totems all the time.
Keep MS on him at all times.
So:
Jinx / poly:
Must be removed ASAP.
Every priest hits that decursive if it turns red.
There should not be any other effect that can be dispelled in this fight. Just in case, put MT at the top of the priority list.
Shades:
Priests try to DoT as many as you can when you have the curse. Makes it much easier for the next one who gets the curse to kill em.
I dotted all of em if I could, and when rogue / war or similar got the curse, they just run around killing the half hp shades (max that I noticed was 7, managed to dot 6, I am a shadow spec thou. Tab select -> Shadow word pain)
This was probably the biggest difference to our earlier tries. In those we decided that the priests / druids should not try dealing damage since it wastes much mana.
Note:
Problem in this fight will not be priest mana if the shades are killed. Even those few dots make a difference in the end.
During the fight I would say that the 4 priests we had killed ~15 shades. (im shadow spec thou) If they do not do so, there will be much more of them hanging around in the end.
Same goes for locks, dot all of the shades you see and nuke after that if u still have time.
MT healers can also DoT some shades that are on them if they feel that they have enough mana. Holy / disc spec dots are resisted much by the shades so dont spend all your mana. 2 successful dots would be good for a holy / disc priest during the curse. The more you manage to dot, the less healing you need to do in the end.
Again:
Everyone except the MT must kill as many shades as they can.
Totems:
We had one group with 3 rogues, shammy and a ms warrior as totem group. They hit Hexxer all the time but did not waste any energy / mana or rage. Everyone else helped them every now and then.
Hunters can burst damage to these easily too.
When totem popped, wham Pam! the totem was gone. Again, they also kill the shades if cursed.
Hunters can shoot totems with multi shot and this way it also hits the Hexxer. (Targeting hexxer with multishot does not harm the totems)
When MC totem drops, have one mage to poly the target. We did not even do this, just ignored him. MC totems go down the same way as every other totem. You can ofc try to root, fear if poly is unavailable.
Healing:
We had 2 priests and a druid primly watching over MT HP.
Everyone else helped when ever there was time.
Not "special" cycle was made. Ventrilo is there if more healing or regen is needed.
In this fight, MT is practically the only one that needs healing if you manage to kill the shades as you should.
Shammies / druids can always keep MT up if priest needs to regen, as said, he hits like a wuzzy.
AOE area:
We had 1 mage here but 2 would be nice to have in case other gets the curse. The AoE mage threw as many frost bolts as he could to the shades when cursed but the aoe was priority 1, if someone was teled he ofc handled that first.
So that was it. If you have good enough players and gear, it should not be a problem. Lot of hunters and locks helps here. Those ways you can keep high dps with feign and dots.
When you see the shades, Drink mana pots (save cd), use the imba trinkets, all your rage / energy etc. Kill as many as you can and regen after that if you need to.
We buffed everyone normally. We did not use any shadow resistance potions. These might help if taken few minutes before the fight begins. Casters save potion CD to mana potions during the fight.
Also we did not use Shadow protection spell from priests. High DPS without tank loosing agro is the key. Tanks loosing agro usually ends up in vipe but too low DPS is allso a problem since he does heal some with totems no matter how fast you are and mages / priests / hunters do run out of mana eventually. Know your limits And remember to keep the amount of shades low.
Btw. We have been doing ragna for several months and bwl for ~month now and are currently training on killing Neffie him self.
Still this was the first time we managed to get hexxer down. Thu it was the first time we tried it after the patch and We had maybe the best possible 20 man group from guild by their gear level with us :)
This is why it went down quite easily. Still i would figh most of the BWL bosses rather than this :)
Group was:
4 warriors
4 priest (one pure shadow spec)
1 druid
1 shammy
4 hunters
3 rogues
2 warlocks
1 mage
Good luck.

took him on third try. we havent done raggy yet. im MT, protspecced. never lost aggro (except when getting hexed ofc). 3-4 good rogues + 2 pretty good dps warriors kept totems down all the time, 2 mages easily held the pit. had 2 mages since the one we had on first 2 tries died and we could spare the dps.
this is much more about skill from every player for himself then on other bosses (probably why ppl find it hard). mage(s) and his pally is their own group doing the pit, the MT and his healers hold the boss, dps-ppl need to be very fast on switching targets and rly understand how to prio the totems, shades and boss.
jindo doesnt have much hp. i got 2 sunders in then dps went in and he was down to about 85% when the first totem landed. if the healing totem is allowed to stay up it will heal him 3%/tick so its VERY important to get it down fast.
think the key to the fight is speed = dps dont have to hold back. get a protspeced warrior (for defiance, more aggro) preferably with many points in rage-build-up and slam away. after hex is off jindo goes back on tank or u can just slam him once and he's on u again. immune to taunts.
and shadowprot doesnt seem to have any effect. had 100 shadowres on second try and didnt see i resisted a single dam-point.
we are a very non-epiq guild so u dont need to have MC/BWL on a farm status to do this fight, just good players and descent gear.

For those who simply do not wish to deal with Jin'do's polymorph, a druid tank will be immune to the hexes. What does this mean? No aggro wipes, no need to dispel anything. A feral druid is preferable, but any druid with good armor will suffice. Jin'do hits fairly softly and pretty slow.
It also means that warriors may now switch to DPS and help kill totems and shades.

We've downed Jin'do twice now after a couple attempts each. We tried a few things with good success that I don't see here:
If you have a pally with improved Concentration aura, create a group of healers with that pally... The 50% chance to resist spell interruption is a big help when you have two or three shades on a healer. We also put dampen magic on the priests to cut down the 600 shadow dmg shade attack.
kite the skellies. Get on your epic mount and ride around outside (The area in front of hakkar's temple across the bridge works well if you clear it first... just ride around in a circle) This frees up your mages to dps Jin'do.
And of course, it cannot be stressed enough how important it is to kill the shades when you can. if you have more than 5 shades up you're in big trouble and need to re-double your efforts. EVEN THE MT and healers must kill shades. No AoE works on them... not even strat holy water (must've been fixed). Reflection damage does work... retribution aura, thorns, fire sheild, etc. Also a hunter reported that their pet did continue attacking after the curse was gone.
This fight can fall apart fast, keep your head and don't lose focus on the strategy. It is all about having a set of great players... not gear. Our group is mostly at Tier 0 + some epics here and there.

The first strat is probably the best but very hard to make your raid actually do it.
(1) Totums, Shades then Jin'do
This is a hard strat to get accross to your raid grp and you must beat it into their heads. Most players will listen to the Totum part but they ignore the Shades part. They help kill the totums and then back to Jin'do because they think their dps will help save the day. Then a grp wipe happens because you have 10+ shades that have killed everyone with their shadow damage. Before you attempt the boss make sure you go over the strat and kill the dam shades (no more then 3-5 shades should be up at anytime)
Why is this the best strat? Because most raids like to have a ballanced raid grp and clear ZG in one night. If you do not know what a ballanced raid grp is then you are not clearing ZG in one night.
(2) Totums and DPS the living hell out of Jin'do and ignore the shades.
This may be an easier strat for your raid to comprehend BUT! If you do this strat then you really must have a DPS raid grp to pull this off and live to tell about it. This strat makes for a piss poor raid grp and more then likely will not do one night clears of ZG.
Why is this not the best strat? Most guilds will not be able to get a pure DPS raid grp together unless you plan on it. It is pretty dam hard to clear ZG with this make up because its to dam squishy.
BEST THING TO DO is make sure every class knows what to do (you tell them) Re-arange your raid grp for this boss if needed so you can have Totums under controll (dps grps)
As for Mana drain well you can do it I guess but its really just a wast of time if you kill the dam totums ASAP and kill the shades. This really is not that hard of a fight if all know what to do and really do it. Killing the shades is just as importand as everyone getting in the dam poison after a son kill before Hakkar life taps you. Or just as importand as keeping the pens under-controll on the panthor boss. Each boss has a strat to it and if you do the strat the boss goes down. If you do not do the strat then well have fun wipeing over and over and over again and &*!@#ing about how hard he is to kill.

I just tanked this because our one feral druid wasn't in the raid tonight.
While we didn't get him down I didn't ever lose aggro.
34 points in Resto, 17 in feral. I do have 11500 armor w/a pally devo aura - but I am a fully resto druid and one of our guild's main healers.
Basically, you don't even need a feral druid to do this - just take a Resto druid w/decent gear and give them a tiny bit more time to build aggro than you would a feral druid.

You guys have it all wrong. Get your warlocks to bring Mad Servants (imps) from the Edge of Madness area. The imps can each do like 700-800dps (literally). Clear the room, go back to EoM, get 3 imps. 3 imps = dead Jin'do. Make sure your healers heal the imps because if they die, they spawn unbanishable voidwalkers, and the imps do so much damage that they WILL end up tanking Jin'do. You'll still need some DPS to kill totems.

The hardest part about this fight is keeping the Shades under control. If they are not killed quickly, they will rapidly multiply out of control and wipe the raid by interrupting heals and killing healers with their nasty Shadow Shock ability. Everyone who gets the Delusions of Jin'do curse must do as much damage to shades as they can, generally by dropping a DoT spell on every shade.
Hunters are extremely effective in this fight, due to their quick ranged attack on totems, and their abilities to deal with multiple shades.
Use the following macro to target, in priority order, shades, healing totem, brainwashing totem, and Jin'do:
/script t={"Jin'do the Hexxer","Brain Wash Totem","Powerful Healing Ward","Shade of Jin'do"};for i=1,4 do TargetByName(t ,true) end;if (UnitHealth("TARGET")==0) then for j=1,2 do TargetByName(t ,true) end end;
/cast Auto Shot
Put the pet on Jin'do and leave it there. If you're feeling brave, you can put the pet on aggressive and fire it at your current target (it will go back to Jin'do when the current target is destroyed). Just remember to take it off of aggressive when you're done....
Don't fire multi-shot at the brainwashing totem. You'll hit whoever has been mind-controlled.
When you get cursed:
Put Serpent Sting and the pet on one shade. Turn on auto-cast Growl. The pet will continue to attack when you lose the curse and will eventually kill the target. Don't put it on any other targets.
Put Hunter's Mark and Serpent Sting on a second shade. You will be able to see this shade even after the curse wears off. Leave it alone until then, when you can come back and kill it.
Put Serpent Sting on all remaining shades. Fire Multi-Shot when it is up.
If you manage to get Serpent Sting on all the shades, focus on one shade at a time until it dies. Try to kill the ones on the healers, first.
When the curse wears off go back to the shade with the mark on it and kill it, then go back to totems and Jin'do.
Mend your pet as needed. Once it kills its target, it will return to your side. Turn off Growl and put the pet back on Jin'do.
In this way, hunters should be able to kill at least three shades and weaken several more every time they get cursed. As Jin'do spawns only one shade each time he applies the curse, this really helps keep them under control.
The Improved Feign Death talent is a big help in this fight, as it allows the hunter to get to range where he is much more effective.

This boss is not hard. Theres a couple things you need to do.
1. Rogues - Always kill Totems. Healing, then MC'ing.
2. Hunters - Put pets on aggressive and they will WTFPWN the shades.
3. Mages - Have 1 mage and backup mage repeatedly owning the Skeletons in the pit, so when people get ported they don't die.
4. Everyone else, DPS/Heal.

Our guild has our resident holy pally stand in the pit and do consecration one time. He then heals himself constantly using fast, low mana heals. One person watches his life and heals him if he starts to look low. This way, the skellys only require one person to handle. Works like a charm.

This is a fairly simple fight (once you clear the area of all the other crap). Just took him out last night on Argent Dawn. The most important thing to remember is "KILL THE TOTEMS, KILL THE SHADES"! He drops 2 totems, one being mind control and the other being major healing (which is the biggest source of his health recovery). As soon as the totem appears, KILL IT. Good to keep a few dps'rs out of main fight with a sole purpose of totem killing. Secondly, the shades can only be seen when you are cursed. So when you become cursed immediately KILL THE SHADES. These will wipe your party quicker then Jin'ob himself. This battle is not about dps but about KILLING THE TOTEMS and KILLING THE SHADES. Do this and you will win!

How many bosses in is this one?

As of 1.8, pet no long sees the shades which make the battle very difficult.
Instead of drooling over the items, why don't we post some strategies that work against this guy?

Pets>>>Shades
Very easy with 2 hunters, the pets attack the shades without the debuff

We got real lucky today with jin'do, he dropped not 1, but 2 epics, the bag and the eye. Our guild does ZG backwards, starting with jin'do first and working our way around to the bat last (hardest to easiest), he kicked of a great loot run for us.

AOE always hits the shades, even if you can't see them. Our group had success with pseudo-random AOE.

Anymore we just have a tank pick up the skeletons and keep spaming demo shout to keep them aggroed, assign one healer to that tank, bear tank on jin'do everyone dps first shades if cursed, totems, then jin'do. This frees up your mages to dps and only one healer is needed for the tank, they only require a greater heal everyone once and a while.

Why dont they see shades? dammit they still see stealthed rogues >< I guess that means we do it the hard way.

Got him to 9% last night when server lag wiped us. I even fraps'd it, but don't feel like editing it to post it. It sucked. Next attempt though, we rocked him hard.
Basically our strategy consists of MS and 5/5 Wound Poison. If you're a DoT class and you get cursed, tab, DoT, tab, DoT, tab, DoT, etc, while the DPS classes go ahead and burn them down the rest of the way. This works really well, as a rogue, every time I got cursed, I just had to hit the shades 1 or 2 times and move on to the next one.
If you're not cursed, take out the brain washing totem first and the healing totems second. Reason being, if Mortal Strike and 5/5 Wound Poison is maintained, the healing totems are essentially rendered useless, so they're low priority.
If you're not cursed and there are no totems up, all out DPS on Jin'do until you either get cursed or see a totem get put down.
Rogues should be using Slice and Dice throughout the entire fight before changing targets, since you'll be changing targets so frequently, the only way to maintain a high DPS for the fight is through faster white damage.
The entire fight is pretty chaotic, but one hell of a fun fight. This is seriously one of my favorite fights in the entire game so far, along with Buru and Rajaxx.

We're having a huge issue with Jin'do simply not cursing people. We had 3 fights with him, got him to about 50% each time, when the shades kill us. A total of 5-6 persons were EVER cursed during these THREE attempts. The hex ability was seen ONCE. Basically the only thing he does is drop totems like mad and teleport people into the pit.
Anyone experienced similar problems?

Just last night (14/07/2006) we downed this boss easily on the third attempt (2nd attempt got him to way under 1%!) and the controversial but effective tactic we used was a feral druid tanking in dire bear form , with our MT protection warrior off-tanking for this one boss. The reason is that when in dire bear form, the druid is immune to the mind control (brain wash?) totems as he doesn't appear to be classed as humanoid. Therefore, with normal enough healing, we got him down easily.
I won the Hexxer and the Bag of Whammies. Happy warlock!

Well we as a guild tried him last night for our second night of attempts.
All privious attempts we had a druid tanking.
We get there wipe cause of aggro loss.
So I pipe up being the normal MT. F$%^ this let me try and have an off tank pick him up when I get hexxed.
And wam he's down. It was so easy! So if your guild is having the same problem try this out.
Otherwise the same strat.

my guild does things a bit differently...
we have a paladin in the pit. he hits consecration once and then just sits there healing...we don't kill the shades unless you are a priest or warlock and then u just dot as many as possible, and we have a warrior tank..
works excellent...

There are four gimmicks in this fight:
1: Delusion of Jin'Do. This is a curse that does about 600 dmg/sec. DO NOT DECURSE IT. When the curse hits it spawns a troll spirit. This spirit can only be seen and attacked by people with the curse on. If you have the curse find and kill at least one spirit if you can. Try for more because non-dps can't do it fast enough. The curse lasts 15 seconds.
2: teleport. If your game freezes up in a fes seconds you'll be teleported to a nearby pit full of skellies. these guys are weak and have a fast respawn. Have a mage and healer on duty to take them out and heal the teleportee. Shaman should be ok if the mage decurses himself (other focuses)
3. powerful healing ward. this thing heals about 20K hp/sec. Kill it
4. Brain control totem. More hit points than the healing ward, this will mind control a player. For both totems we found having four hunters worked well, with one as main assist. They can output enough damage at a drop of a hat to take em out. A /target powerful and /target brain macro works great for the main assist.
Pets, summons, and the like can see and attack spirits at all times. It is unknown if this is a bug. Get them away from the boss so they go after the spirits.

Why does it say lvl 1?

My guild does the tactics a bit different..
Of course we put a mage on pit duty, secondly we divide the fight into 2 phases.
Phase 1 is till he's out of mana. so in phase one, locks, priests and hunters mana drain, when he's out of mana, hunters keep on arrow on him.
While manad draining is occuring, first priority is SHADES, second is brain wash totem. Healing totems have no effect, as we dont DPS yet.
When mana is all out (shouldnt take long) just one hunter has to keep a mana draining arrow up at all times. Then DPS begins. He will not put out heaing totems when he is out of mana, so just take down the brain wash totems, and if everyone did their shade duty in phase 1, you could more or less just dps without minding the shades too much. Works excellent. We didn't manage to kill him the "traditional" way, so we tried something new. Seemed to be the easyest way to kill him tbh. Atleast it worked for us.
Hope this will help som poor guild ;)

For anyone running this in DF for the new transmogs, the big boys do a slam that breaks the chains in phase 2. It seems you NEED to kill one before you go into the spirit realm(phase 2) or else you wont have a way to complete the fight. To make things worse, you can't reset boss and the exit to the dungeon is deactivated. I ended up needing to hearth out and come back.
tl;dr : kill one of the big guys before you start the fight.
