Legion Exploration: Our Favorite Details in Each Zone
While there is
plenty to do at 110 in Legion
, let's take a step back to appreciate the little details that went into building the world and contributing to the distinctive atmosphere of the Broken Isles. Players have banded together to solve complex exploration puzzles like the
Long-Forgotten Hippogryph
and
Kosumoth the Hungering
, but if you just take a few minutes of your time to look around while questing, you can find some enriching details too!
Here's a look at some of the favorite things we noticed in each zone; this isn't meant to be a comprehensive list. If you come across something interesting while questing, let us know on that item's page via a comment or screenshot! We'll cover topics like the Suramar Zoo, a druid stuck as a seal, and petting baby animals in our full post.
Rare Mount Drops in Draenor
Now that raiding has started and the PvP season is in full swing, you may have some time now to go check out the awesome new mount drops in the Warlords of Draenor expansion. There are 7 new rare mount drops available in Draenor currently. 6 of these rare spawns have a 100% chance to drop their respective mounts for everyone that is able to tag the rare mob that drops it. The 7th,
诺卡罗什
, is different in that his mount is more rare but he is up virtually all the time - only 1
夜嚎铁颚狼
drops so not everyone can loot one from a single kill. This mount, though, can be traded or sold on the auction house.
Due to some of the new phasing technology, there may be different instances of a single zone on the same server. If you see someone in Chat say that a rare is up but you don't see it, if you get invited to that person's group you can be phased into the same-server-alternate-phase where the mount is and kill it there. Because most of these mounts (except
诺卡罗什
) behave along the same lines as personal loot, if you happen to have the corpse despawn on you or you somehow drop the phase, the Postmaster will mail you your drop. With the new group finder feature, you will often find groups camping the rare spawns or killing Nok-Karrosh.
All of the rares that drop mounts have several different spawn points, except
诺卡罗什
who has a static spawn point. Wowhead user

Draenor takes many concepts of the

and improves upon them. There are dozens of personal treasure chests and most rare spawns are now personal to the player and appear normal after being looted.
In addition, there's six rare spawns that drops a mount--which is automatically received by every player that participates in the kill!

5.4 PTR: Timeless Isle Zone Preview, BoA Epic Loot, Pets, and World Bosses
The
永恒岛
is finally open for testing on the 5.4 PTR! It's a mysterious island to the east of the Jade Forest, where in a refreshing change of pace, players can acquire vanity items and gear
without
doing dailies.
There's a new pet tournament on the
永恒岛
, as well as mini-Celestial battle pets to acquire.
Epic ilvl 496 Timeless Gear can be acquired by looting rare chests, killing mobs, and turning in
永恒铸币
. These items, like
长春长袍
, have random stats, and the armor token that creates them,
永恒布质长袍
, is BoA, meaning you can send these to your alts for gearing up! There are also ilvl 535 versions, tagged as Timeless, of these same items--perhaps
不朽之责
will be involved.
There's hardly any daily quests, just one--
永恒之疑
--in which you answer questions about Azeroth's lore.
In addition to selling gear tokens, there's vendors that have rare-spawn nameplates that sell
“优雅的绅士”礼帽
and despawn after a period of time.
Tons of rare elites to kill, as well as chests to loot.

For this achievement series, you'll track down items hidden around Pandaria. These items can only be found once per character, and finding multiples of the same item will not increase your total across alts. There are 28 items total.

A new achievement was added in Patch 5.1,

. There are 18 total and many vendor for and grant several hundred thousand experience if found while leveling. Based on excellent user comments such as

Mists of Pandaria Rare Spawns: Lost and Found Preview
We covered the
rare spawns of Pandaria
a few weeks ago, and thought it was cool how they dropped a bunch of unique vanity items like

Pandaria--pulling them out of trees, opening boxes, exploring caves. It's like hunting for a rare spawns' loot, except the NPC step has been cut out! As for what you'll find:

Mists of Pandaria Faction Guide: The Lorewalkers
Gaining reputation with

is an unusual process. Instead of completing dailies or zone quests like most other Pandaren factions, players gain reputation by visiting monuments, completing achievements, and hearing folktales. If you have an organized path in mind, hitting Exalted should only take a few hours with a flying mount!
