I really don't see the issue with allowing players to join up cross faction for raids and dungeons. Keep pvp the same and allow war-mode opt in.Problem (Basically) solved. You still can't quest as the other faction or, say, join another faction's guild - but you can hang out with them for major content.
I just want to say that on my Server we have a 1:3 Pop as Horde, i would love to see it the other way around. But on the other side this makes groups that know each other when you have a small recruitment pool.
So what he is saying is give up and go play horde now.
So many people misunderstanding what was said. This discussion was about the possibility of Horde + Alliance queing for raids and dungeons together.Ion says that it cuts both ways. They want people to be able to play with their friends, but the Horde+Alliance has been the selling point of the game for 16 years. What would that mean for pvp, for warmode?Personal opinion: Have cross faction raids/dungeons be a thing just like cross server.End it there. No 'all races for all factions' stuff, just.. Setting aside politics for a 'moment' to defeat something larger than either.
It's a game with 2 opposing factions at the core of the game. We all knew this when we started playing. This is not news by any means. And while the leaders of those factions have some very superficial alliances of convenience from time to time, they have never worked well together. Every single time it ended in some form of betrayal. So from a lore perspective, this will never work.
i feel like shadowmeld and the dwarf immune are better than anything horde has as far as racials are concerned. People don't play alliance because they are a bunch of whiney ass little snowflakes.
Blizzard employees are notoriously self admittedly biased towards the Horde. Most of them play Horde. They are never going to be concerned about servers being Horde heavy. Don't let it cramp your style.
I like the different feels and aesthetics each brings and don't want to see either side lose their identityAlliance have the medieval, castles and dragons farms and villages, woodland elves, stoic mountain dwarves, smart, eager gnomes, pious displaced people from an overtaken homeplanet, etc. it fits and feels good. lots of heart, nobility, diverse yet all shining examples of exemplary.Horde have the tribal ragtag band of brothers and sisters, each member seeking family after their circumstances surviving in a world that doesn't want them; nomadic, spiritual tauren, exotic trolls, wise/patient pandaren (both factions), haphazard goblins, recovering, scholarly elves, savage or proud orcs, etc. Each side comes with their own kit whose members, each with their own kit as well, creates a comfortable look and feel that if blurred or crossed, neither shines. keep'm separate now and forever. the game will be like every other once all races and cultures lose what makes them special and once all factions lose identity.
I guess I'll stay unsubbed until the problem of non existent mythic raiding and m+ scene on Alliance is fixed. Which probably means forever, judging from the Blizzard's stance. I'm not gonna pay a sub and have access to fewer features than the Horde players, when these features are gated behind population numbers. Btw Blizzard also lied about server connections, there's still plenty of low pop servers on EU, their actions were mostly to show a token gesture rather than fix the problem. Remember, if you play(ed) Alliance and pay for a faction change to raid / do m+, you're financially supporting this predatory scheme to exploit faction imbalance. You're rewarding their callous stance where Alliance players don't matter, they're there to be financially exploited and provided a sub-par experience. By staying subbed you're acknowledging that it's fine for Alliance players to be outright insulted and treated as second grade citizens.
