I'm glad I didn't invest in this, I knew that they will nerf it.
I was wondering why it started raining goblins in Org a little while ago. This explains things.
But with this nerf on gold making there is no reason to craft them even for a usable gear, It will be too much expensive craft this for ilvl increase.Kinda extreme, might not be the final version.
The 125g per Relic V might be too much at this point though. 2-3g/item with a final cost of 50-75g might be more reasonable with other points de incentivizing the shuffle.
You had to be a special kind of stupid to think it was going to go live as it was. People who lost millions deserve to lose that gold.
Is there really anyone who didn't see this coming?

is it a nerf if it hasn't gone live? I mean this is why beta / PTR exists. to find problems and fix them, if you take the information from it as 100% hard truth that's really your own faultmore on topic, I think the implementation is heavy handed, while flipping is a real problem, the old method also allowed leveling alts to craft filler gear with very little effort.now it's basically relegated to I don't know, people who are bored? have way too much gold? ideally i think it would have been better if they nerfed the vendor value... but I realise that might mean we'll need a new sell value algorithm (since I doubt someone is manually editing the sell value of an item)
"Cloth Christmas" is over
A nerf was to be expected but what a daft fix.
me, i loved it. i have been selling stacks of this old and not so old #$%^ for 2 weeks now and making crazy Gold. Always remember the only thing worth a true dam going forward is Gold. but i thank you all for thinking Blizz would ever let that system go live after the Extreme lengths they went to in BFA to drain Gold from the system after the last 2 xpacs let Gold get way out of hand.
But why. Why do you keep creating a system and then you create a fix for a fix for a system you created? If i put a keg of salt aside (personally have not invested any gold in it beside little time) and look at it objectively.I just can not comprehend the thought process that is going on in the heads of this developers. It is like you have a civil war within blizzard. One department have no idea what other is doing, nor the vision for the systems they are creating.Spending so much time balancing the system, having several rounds of iterations, fixing bugs in the system. Just so you can completely undo everything you have put effort in developing. It is just astounding to me. No other large company would ever do things in this way. In fact, if a large company would ever develop things this way - it would eventually stop being a large company because this way of doing things are just mad and unjustified economically. As on topic: overall it is a bad decision for the game. - old materials lost value. again. the strength of economy is in its depth. one could farm materials needed for relics, one could craft relics and sell them on auctions house, one could buy one or the other or both to create items. One could spend time and get everything self. All this is a player gametime. Interaction with the game. This is the "meaningful choices" for professions they so desperately are trying to re add in to the game.- Economical impact of relics in iteration prior this change was not big in larger picture. you need 7 items to craft 1 relic. It takes considerable time to craft single relic. Most popular servers don't have enough materials for 3 million gold worth of shuffles. This system was only valuable in the long term.- Alot of people are going to make less gold. (and no, i am not the one of them. I have millions, maxed out bnet balance and 10 wow tockens and i do not play) Large amount of players interested in raw gold. It is the way they interact with game because they enjoy it. Now old raids have nothing. Crafting items have nothing. This was all meaningful and rewarding interaction with the game for many people. Many of said people rely on it for wowtoken, something many of them probably will lose access to.Before you start bla bla bla inflation bla bla bla. No i understand how it works. I also understand that less people being able to buy tockens = less players and less people selling them because guess what - those who sell tokens in it for larger amounts of gold. This will only benefit tsm mailbox simulator hoes. Your average player will just suffer because of your "adjustments in financial market". This is not meaningful. This is not productive change. This will not make economy better. This will not benefit the game overall. This is blizzard being blizzard and instead of acting with reason they are being an elephant in a china shop.I do not like this.Bye.
But look, the system is supposed to make higher lvl gear for players lvling up, how will they find the resource from the SLs?The gold making was a side effect, they might as well remove the relics, cause they just became useless. This is not final, watch it.
HAHAHAAAHAHAHAAHAHAHHHAHAHAHHAHA
This is good and bad. Good because you can't cheese the gold. Bad because Prepatch PvP was going to be very fun with old gear that definitely would break the game a little. Going to make Prepatch slightly less enjoyable. Not by much though.
