I have to say, this extra reagent mechanic is awesome, but could offer lots of options. I hope Blizz expand the mechanic
This is motivating me to fully level every expansions profession to be able to use these new systems. I fear though they will scrap or outright change it in a patch or new expansion so im reluctant to dedicate the time to it.
Be warned, there are probably many people like me who have been sitting on several banks' worth of hitherto useless legacy mats waiting for a change like this to come along.
totally agree!
Why can't they simply base crafts on percentages of level to those who purchase the item? So many things are useless in game. If the item was based on the player who buys it, like a token with stats adapting to their ilvl, old recipes from all professions would be continuously relevant throughout the game. I stopped leveling my professions about 3 xpacs ago... I'm not talking about making money with end-game stuff. So, yeah, I'm poor.
Looks like you can only add the relic when creating the item? So if you want to increase the ilvl, you have to make a whole new item?
What about Darkmoon cards? Are they still capped when it comes to itl since you never directly craft a deck so relics surely wouldn't work on them.
Has anything been mentioned about the Legion profession leveling system? That's the only one tied to quests to unlock new recipes/ranks.
I am not sure if this question belongs here, let me know please. Do you need to run dungeons to get the mats for crafting?
What about Shreds of Insanity for the quest to be able to craft the 470 leatherworking boots/legs ? Do they still drop from raid bosses or are they gone with the pre-patch ?
I'm not on board with having to level professions just to transmog an item (goggles) that I could previously without needing the required engineering level. If you've saved the appearance before the only gatekeeping should be that you have that respective profession as one of your two choices selected.
