Very interesting article. It's good to see what could have been, and how they designed it.
"Make sure you know the difference between loyalty and honor." "And pray you never have to choose."Quite the interesting read about how they designed the scenario. And what's funny enough, Zul didn't have an exclusive model during the design phase.
Hmm... Zul still has an older troll model?
That was a pretty damn fun way to start off BfA, I'll give it that.Pity the rest of the expansion didn't live up to the strong opening, but thems the breaks sometimes.
Shame they didn't work out a *reason* for Talanji to be captured yet. Many we'll get another slideshow in a couple of years addressing it.
overall a great scenario; with one big exception:The "we-all-stealth-out-together"-part. Most annoying thing I had to do in wow in a long time.At least now I know who I can mail a rotting fish to, as a thank you :)
Wish they had mentioned the best part of the quest, which was watching Zul strut around burning everything like the chaotic gremlin he is. Legend. Who would win, Big stone city or an old boi with a torch?
Damn Zul has been bulking up
Man it takes A LOT of work to make this game.I think people underestimate what it takes for this game to be created.I did this quest in like no time and barely gave it a thought.
This one looks much more fun than the hide and seek we got, but such is life and gaming, we get what we get.
I believe that model of Zul was used in the patch 4.1 trailer as well as back in Pandaria when you were having those neat little "storytime" lore quests with Lorewalker Cho (before his model was updated for BFA). Rastakhan also had an old model used in those quests.
This scenario was so horribly implemented in-game. Greymane somehow slower-than-RP-walking at you was just comical and took me completely out of it. And then Jaina makes the tactical decision to let them go because some buildings are on fire?
