Unbelievable
i complained a lot about how some teams only take night elves and people race changing just to have that racial , this is not healthy, and i don't think giving the passive to everyone will solve it but it'll make it less special and will make people more jealous about how night elves get it for free while others must get one particular covenant and soulbindalso there is a large unbalance when it comes to racials and blizzard should definitely rework most of them
One more broken idea like Corruption right now.
I watched the Preach dungeon vod with the MDI pros."Have the covenants been as much of an issue as we thought?"Every single one of them, "No. We haven't even looked at people's covenants in M+. It'll probably be something we look at in higher end content, +20."They then has a discussion about community perception. About how people just copy whatever they do for their much much easier dungeons and just say they're not bringing a certain class cause it wasn't what the pros use. I love how the best M+ runners in the game said the covenants make absolutely zero difference in anything +15 and lower.
This comment section is borderline infuriating. Most of you absolutely are not affected by any racials or niche abilities. You don't need a certain ability for your weekly 15 or HC nzoth. Heck even mythic raiding doesn't require you at the moment to have something such as a rocket jump like it did on KJ back in TOS...The only time these allegations have any merit is during very coordinated high tier pve/PvP content. With that being said, I absolutely despise shadowmeld. Currently it's not that big of an issue, but if you were ever doing m+ in season 3 with the void emissaries you would absolutely agree with me , that alliance coordinated nelf groups had such and edge over horde ones, that it was disgusting. And the fact is , it wasnt even hard to abuse it.. Any group of friends who cared enough could easily press the meld button together to skip the hardest packs in most of the dungeons while horde had to sacrifice the tank or someone or even the whole group sometimes with a fast death on the healer and cr-ing them mid fight so they can mass ress in a safe location after the mobs evaded.Shadowmeld should be removed alltogether from dungeons. It's unfair and promotes a very restricted high end scene. Which in turn sprinkles down to the mid/top end of non pro play as well. I really hope blizz reconsiders this conduit, because it could lead to situations where horde could feel like they have no other option but to swap to NF if they want to efficiently push higher keys, should blizz ever come up with a mechanic/ affix like beguiling was, where it is easier to skip the intended mechanic with cheese, rather than learning how to deal with it.
Why are people bringing up Door of Shadows as if it will be effective in mythic+ skipping, it's range is 35, aggro diameter is 40. The article itself even mentions this. The only possible way you are going to skip anything with it is with correct angles being allowed in the layout, and if anyone fails the Door of Shadows by 1 yard then everyone collectively fails. There will be very few viable skips, and any packs have the aggro diameter increased due to number of creatures and being spread out.
I knew going tree-hugger was the right choice for my plate transmog! I'm rewarded with the best armor AND having another reason to not be a night elf! This one's totally getting the nerf hammer though, because that is definitely too good of an ability compared to the others.
So Blizzard nerfs Arcane Torrent into dust cause it was too powerful as a silence in mythic plus. Thus people switch to Night Elf cause Shadowmeld is very powerful now. So what does Blizzard do: Gives everyone Shadowmeld... What?
They should add a shadowmeld to every covenant IMO. It's too useful to only be in one.
B-But Venthyr was the most op covenant wtf blizz /s
I’m convinced some of you are just trying to end up on Taliesin’s “!@#$ show” bit. The outrage seems forced.
You won't see people looking for Night Fae only. I mean you don't even see people right now looking for Night Elves only to do things like that, unless it's the literal top of the top of the top end, THEN maybe you see it. For random pugs and casuals, nothing's going to change. It's still going to be "Raider IO score > all else" including covenants, talents, race, class, spec. Maybe for 25+ level keys, which most people won't even bother doing above a 10 or 15, so yeah, not gonna happen nor effect the random pugs out there. Guild stuff, maybe, as that is a guild run and all of that or your friends. Randoms? No.
This is nice even for Alliance.Suddenly, you can play something other than a NE in M+ as long as they are Night Fae. You can also have a non-NE feral druid that doesn't feel gimped without the poor man's vanish.Night Elves will be able to do it twice if they are Night Fae. That's still really powerful too.
