I said it in the last post about him, WoD would be way faster, and I was right. Also surprised no mention of treasures in article, they are like worth 1/2 a quest or something on live, which is easily worth taking a few seconds off beaten path to click. Also weird to see he waited til more than halfway thru his run to buy the experience potion.
Did you know, with party sync, you can level 100-120 in draenor alone right now?
I just hope they continue to offer XP gains for a variety of elements. I leveled from 80-85 in Cata on (2) characters, just from mining and herbalism. Sometimes one can get tired of collecting zevra hoofs.
With most of the new content being built around max level experience, I'm fine with this speed of leveling.Over the years WoW has drastically changed from a leveling experience to an end-game experience with leveling merely being the tutorial for your class. I understand that on a general level this change might not appeal to everyone, but for those who enjoy the game in this end game-centric way, a tutorial ranging from 4-12+ hours is fine.
People have to face the facts that after several expansions, people don't want to be stuck in an old continent leveling for several days before they can join their friends. If you want an experience where leveling is as important as the endgame, try Classic. It's not even fair to expect retail to be like Classic because there the endgame and leveling zones are one and intertwined. You aren't stuck on one continent while all the endgame takes place on another. Also realize that DesMephisto isn't the average player. Blizzard currently has leveling centered around going from 10 to 50 in one expansion of content. For BfA, that means doing the three main zones, depending on which faction you play. That's perfectly reasonable as a default. Of course, that's a default that ignores heirlooms and other ancillary quicker exp gains like bonus objectives or treasures. Blizzard might nerf those WoD bonus objectives and treasures, and I'd be fine with that, but I'm also fine with it if they don't.
They're gonna fix this. Srs they said we'd pick 1 expac to lvl thru to experience the whole story instead of just whizzing past zones. What would be the point if ppl can just do it in 4hrs? :/Also ... CAN GOBLINS BE MONKS? WITH THE NEW STARTING ZONE AN ALL! PLZ BLIZZ! I NEED THEM!
Unless they nerf WoD (bonus objectives and treasure hunting XP) and Legion (Legion Assault XP) those 2 might be the best expansion to speed leveling in SL it seems.
A lot of people complaining about "This is too fast, it needs to be fixed" forget one important thing:That this player is leveling characters up like crazy doesn't mean anything to 99.9% of the playerbase. Even if you saw his stream, thought to yourself "That looks easy, I can do this as well", you would probably take at least twice as long. And that is with a highly optimized route already.Have you ever watched a speedrun of a game you took 20 hours to complete? That took 2 hours at most, probably way less. It is the same here.Another very important thing to remember: This is 10-50 (also 1-50 only takes like twenty minutes longer with his pace). 50-60 will take quite some time as well. So you aren't done in 4 hours with your leveling. And the last 10 levels will take, as usual, much longer.
I personally like the speed of leveling right now on live with the leveling buff. Anything slower than that isn't fun for me and I love being able to go to Draenor to do those bonus objectives for bonus xp. I wish Blizzard would find a way to make it so people that want to level quickly can and people that don't want to level quickly can adjust the speed of leveling to what they want somehow. That way we can all be happy.
