The Worgen armor is a little disappointing. Sort of like the style that waited, but still screwed up. Everything without additional elements, unlike the others. The length of the jacket was the same. In HotS, Genn has a longer one (they could use a model of the mail legs of a hordes from the Dark Shore). The collar's a little too big, but it's too small.
I just made an account just to express how disappointed I am at the heritage armors (Not just worgen, being the worst) The vulpera are alright, nothing special. Goblin seems a little meh almost like you could make same set out of transmog already available. Mech gnome.. was hoping for something cool since they're supposedly tinkers not just plate tanks. Worgen just don't have the armor feel, clothes yes, not cloth just plain clothes, boring af. And just so I'm not just &*!@ting without a better idea worgen should have had a badass leather theamed set like they were depicted at blizzcon when first released, maby some wild flare due to literally being wild for a time, not ballroom dancing.Goblin could have a bomb bot on his back or a pack brimming with explosives as the cape, maby some rocket boots and a rocket belt (racials)Mechagnomes, would have been nice to have a set that fit the idea, I can't see myself rolling one for the set honestly. That's my opinion, tear it apart I'll likely never check it again. Playing classic now and this (percieved) half ass effort makes me glad for it. Sorry retail, you deserve better.
As it's allready been said, the worgen one is quite underwhelming. Not that it's ugly, it just doesn't feel like something you'd wear in combat. The lore says it's the greyguard outfit but what guard would wear a lace shirt with a rose pined to it ? And while I know people craved for it, I actually think the top hat looks silly.A bloodborne inspired outfit would have been better imo. Or even, if they wanted to go the "noble" way, something akin to greymane's Hots outfit. It ressembles it in a way, like the shoulders, the sleeves, the boots and the overall color schemes but it's too clean, too fine to be something a fierce werewolf would wear in battle.I love the goblin one. I thought they'd do something more pimped out but it looks allright. The vulpera one is ok, not incredible but it fits them well. The mechagnome one is meh imo. May have to do with the model though. Same problem as the forsaken, the no arm, no elbow, no knee, no legs stuff just doesn't work for me.
I just saw the worgen's armor in the dressing room; At first it seemed quite disappointing, but when I took off the shoulder pads, I realized that the armor is very good, but the shoulder pads are something that completely ruins the set.Good thing they can be removed.
The Worgen one is better without the shoulderswould be even better without that gold, that ruins the whole set
I just noticed the mechagnome and vulpera sets are missing boots in the dressing room. Intentional by Blizzard or just not implemented in the dressing room yet?Mechagnomes also look like they don't get gloves (kinda disappointed by that even though I was only gonna make a vulpera anyway).Hope the vulpera backpack also gets separated into a cloak (not that I'd ever hide it but it would be cool since the tauren totems are separate).
Goblin is alright, but disappointed they don't have a large dynamite or powder keg strapped to their back like the good old rts days! (I mean it's not so different from a totem or backpack, right? See it done!) As for the worgen. An atrocity. Copy paste of pre-existing gear. The gold is too bright, hell even the blue is a bit too bright. Same issue the Kul Tirans got, wonky colour scheme. Speaking of which, the Gilneans should've gotten a unique and personal coat as well. Less piratey though and dark, with some cool and subtle gilnean brooches and symbols. Those shoulderpads though /vomit.
i actually think the goblin one isn't bad at all, nothing to drool about but it's pretty cool, the worgen one however....i think at least a slight color change might do it better yikes
All that hate the worgen set, trust me I did too, but if you view it on model viewer, replace the chest piece by typing 'worgen' in the search bar from the robe to the jacket, and then unequip the shoulders and hat, it looks really good.
Worgen one is a little dissapointing. Instead of those shoulderguards I wish they would have used a sort of shoulder cape with a high collar like the one Genn uses. Having fingerless gloves and torn boots similar to Genn's outfit would have also been nice. The hat suffers clipping issues since it doesn't accommodate for Worgen ears like the Goblin and Vulpera sets do. Overall I think they did a better job with Genn Greymane and I hope they will reconsider some aspects of this set.
The goblin one looks cool but I am disappointed they didnt put two thruster rockets and a mini rocket launcher on the on the belt to reference their racial ability. It would have been perfect!
Kinda wish bliz would do more with the armor equipped on the mechagnomes' arms and legs, even if it's just the 3d extras floating over them.
The worgen one looks decent if you hide the shoulders. They really don't match the rest of the set at all.
I wonder if the mechagnome one will come in different colours to match the metal colours of the arms and legs. Hoping really. :)
I have to agree. Although I don't think the Goblin one is THAT bad I do think it just looks like some normal starter gear or something. What the hell are those shoulder plates on Worgen? Awful
I feel old, I remember back when blizzard had talent for armor design. They wasted time and money working on these because they're just fugly. The only effort that really goes into the in game these days are the store items and potential esports content. Everything else is half assed or reskins/retools.
