Let's not act so surprised that Ragnaros was spawned. The only reason Rag popped up is because Asmon was asking for it for like 20 min before hand on his stream. Let's give credit were credit is due. You could potentially credit his stream for the many lvl 1s logged into to Elwyn Forest at the time as well.
i Fell asleep so i missed the main thing but right now wow keeps crashing no matter what i do on the beta server so.
I've got a funny moment, after waiting the 3k que (~5mins) got dc 5 times, then went to sleep... :D
I watched multiple streams today, and multiple streamers get tied up in the queue, in the character creation screen and get DC'd left and right. Anyone thinking that Streamers had any kind of "special access" or "priority" are dead wrong. I didn't get in until near the end, and maybe got 30 minutes of fun. But, the server is back online and will be until tomorrow. So until then, I'm going to enjoy it while it's here.
Did they do anything on Horde side?
works fine now ^_^ go try it
I don't remember Vanilla having sharding, layering, and phasing? I see they holding true to making this as close to original as possible. Yea right.
Just to counter that streamer argument a bit: Not a streamer and got in without much problems. The majority in, were just people.Sure there were a few streamers around, not that I recognized names (I'm too old for that nonsense)... but people were behaving like little schoolgirls telling everyone how awesome it was that he or she were there.Edit: No they didn't do much on Horde side. All we got were Hoggers, we still had fun messing about though.
Awful lot of humans in there...
Since I'm not a streamer my only fun was the character creation screen for 2 hours. Did nothing happen in horde zones?
I was stuck in the log in queue/disconnect group, but it looks like it was fun!
"Mr Omar, I Don't feel so good.."
Yeah, it was a fun 3 hours spamming the launcher to try and get into the realm itself. After 3hrs finally saw the character creation screen and got stuck in timeout loops. Figured this was a good as it was going to get and went to bed. At least the forums were amusing to live-post to.
To those asking if anything happened to Horde. No, Blizzard didn't send monsters to destroy the Horde, the Horde is well capable of destroying itself from the inside.
I know people wanted to play during the stress test, but it was very successful. The point was a Stress Test and there were so many tens of thousands of people giving them valuable data. We need situations like this to get stable servers.
Thank you Omar the great!Wished we had events like this yearly - a fun but insane crashing party. It was so fun, now i need to rest my poor chest of all the laugher. <3
