What diversity? ;)
Again where was all this "official" outrage when Blood DKs were top tanks for 2+ years?
Well yes people play to win when money is on the line. Even if everything is pretty even. They will always play the absolute best of their players abilities allow. There will always be a best and be a meta. and the mdi will always show the best comps possible. It won't be very varied. Also the healer situation is that healers have pretty decent niches. That separates them apart. The issue with that is that druids niche is great for dungeons.
That's called a meta, every competitive scene has one. They're gonna be using a comp that works the best both single and aoe damage, best tank and healing for dungeons. There's always gonna be a best comp or 2
Come on, DK was "king" while Warrior is a "plague"? As a warrior main I felt outraged by the choice of words lol. After a rocky end of Legion and start of BfA, it is just fair it finally came its time to shine.

Simple fix, yah? Add more true-sight mobs (maybe an affix around truesight), remove Rdruid's Brez, make HoTs last less time or apply a HoT nerf while in cat/boomie form, and peel away some of their utility. I might be a monk, but it still irks me to see that Resto druid is going on it's third year as top. As for prot warrior, they kinda provide a niche. Maybe make an affix out of said niche "Stand Together" where every mob beyond the count of 5 adds 5% more damage and 2.5% DR to every mob in range. Just saying, if Blizzard truly wanted to see a larger class diversity, they wouldn't let such things happen and then turn a blind eye to them.
They really need to manage class power independently in raids and dungeons. Pre 8.1, there were 3 healers pretty commonly represented in the top percentiles in terms of m+ but disc was deemed to be too strong for raids, so got a nerf, which hugely nerfed it's power in m+. Meanwhile, resto got a buff for raids and feral got a buff, which directly buffed resto's dps, which has made resto OP on both fronts. Most classes simply can't be scaled well when you're trying to balance healing 5 players and healing 20 players at the same time. It's the same for the dps and tanks too; some classes are blessed in that they can do great aoe and st without changing talents, some can only do one, which is fine for raids as they can switch, some will perform fine in raids where they can ramp up but are useless in m+ where adds die too fast.
I hope Blizzard thinks up some new abilities to give to the underpowered specs.
Yeah, Outlaws and prot warrior are over powered a bit, but its the class buffs and utility that lock everything in.I really don't think Blizzard gets it. They completely change Fury Warrior's design because it was too reliant on CD stacking, then they turn around and design Prot warrior around cooldown stack, then add additional azerite traits on top of it.
Blizzard pushed esports into every aspect of this game, PVP, raiding and now mythic+. Now they get to deal with impossible class balance. They made their bed, now they get to lay in it

As far as the MDI goes, I'd like to see a rule that each player must use a different class for each dungeon. You probably wouldn't get much diversity at the dps spot as you'd see different rotations of rogue, monk and dk (unless you also specified that once a rogue for example is used for a match, it can't be used again by any player), you would at least see diversity at the tanking and healing spots. It would also add an additional element of challenge to the dungeon run. Where am I going to get the most benefit out of using a rogue?
that's funny, the only time a warlock is mentioned is how they were nerfed to become useless. bravo wow class design team, bravo. i'm at 403 and don't get invites to +2's, but balanced am i right?
in 8.2 we are going to see a nerf to druid healing and prot warrior damage, maybe a nerf to rogue dps but that won't stop you bringing 2 anyways 'cause shroud exists.
The real problem isn't that there will always be 1 or 2 viable teams for the absolute top, the problem is that it's pretty much always the same classes/specs.Can holy priest for example be the best healer just once? As they have no utility, they should outheal the other healers by a mile - but they don't.
The state of class balance atm is just bad.
I don't agree with the enchancement shaman topic, it can be a freakin op single target dps with the right traits, and the crash lightning also gives useful aoe dmg,and i tried a lot of class and spec and i think cement shammy is the most fun spec right now
