To people complaining that they already have BfA professions leveled up - the patch notes said that the skill-ups will apply to the most recent expansion that you don't have maxed. So if you have BfA maxed but not, say, Cataclysm, it will apply them to Cataclysm. If you have all of them maxed, then the Darkmoon Faire professions quests don't apply to you, no big deal.
I picked up a new profession in BfA. I had to level the classic profession to ~70 or 80 points before I saw the quest. Once I did that I could get the BfA profession quest.
If you aren't exalted with honorbound/seventh legion this far into BFA, are you ever going to even try? just do some world quests, islands and invasions.
It's all fine and dandy that you can level BfA profs now, but why not just open it up to all expansions? *sigh*
Such a stupid little thing, but I was really looking forward to the 8.1 Darkmoon Roller Coaster. Tiny though it may be, this is the proverbial straw on the camel's back. Time to unsub and come back when all the stuff they've promised actually arrives. :/
"Profession Quests now provide 5 skill ups to BFA Profession Ranks" - Did not work with my BFA Leatherworking, only got a Token and 4 prize tickets. All my Leatherworking for other expansions is maxed. I am at 149/150 for BFA so maybe it cannot do skill ups less than 5?
Darkmoon Faire needs paragon rep! The sky is the limit for rewards! Come on!
All five of my professions gained the BfA skill points. Of course, Archaeology always was, even before this patch. The cooking quest is with the Fishing quest, same as always.
Yes, finally managed to maxed out Blacksmith!
I'm not sure why the requirement to have a classic skill level at 75 before the DMF skill-up quests become available is still there. I picked up enchanting on one toon after BFA came out and did not level classic enchanting to 75, so no enchanting quest is available for him at DMF. Since the profession tracks are now split by expansion, this "classic requirement" for DMF profession quests should be removed.
Exactly what I needed to know. Funny how the herbs for Classic Alchemy dont exist on AH. Found a large store in forgotten guild vault.
