I have 12 alts doing the current order hall mission grind, who are also still doing garrison grind (for resource, to swap for cloth, to make bags with). I don't exactly 'enjoy' doing it, especially with how long i have to spend each day doing it... but it makes way too much gold relatively easily to ignore it. I will of course be doing the same in BFA if it's there :PI've been working on all my professions lately, trying to find all those old recipes myself. I did however buy a recipe for the mooncloth robe a little while back for 15k ish, and have since made about 5 robes that sold for 15k each, so I'd say that was worth it :Dall my proffs are levelled ready for BFA, but I do still need to finish off the questlines for all those recipes and story/lore... I've been slacking a bit there :\ thanks for another great article! :D
I run the gold missions on 4-5 characters. I make use of the app, so I am always collecting and sending them out again. It has paid for game tokens for quite a few months.
I really don't like how you can make a ton of gold by just logging in to characters to do order missions. I'm probably just going to do it on my main and be poor for ever :)
The task list is a really useful tool! Great to see it comming. I have so many tasks to do that most of the time I end up doing half and remember some the moment I already logged out.
I think class hall missions may be good for "starting" players, that want to spend gold on collectibles, but in the end, there will be so much gold, that something drastic will need to happen, like czechoslovakian money reform in ´53, that money over certain amount have exchange amount over 50:1, so the economy ground will be evened. I don't want it happen, but the inflation waves are higher and higher.
TBH I'm too lazy to get my alts up, so I was grinding missions only with my warrior. I think as long as someone would keep 1-3 chars running it would be just enough to get some money for active raiding and a bit more. In my opinion it was a good addition for casual players or those who weren't introduced to money making and didn't want to spend time on professions.
TSM updates look cool. Someday I will make enough gold to pay for my sub 😊
I am looking forward for the final release of TSM4. I have used it for gold earning but now it will be super awesome with the new features and extras. I am working for the 5m to get the Auction mount with the release of BfA, so TSM4 is a must addon.
I have 13 characters set up for Order Hall missions for gold with 950 ilvl followers, and another 17 or so characters with 900 ilvl followers but without doing Argus. I don't plan to make mission tables a focus in BfA.
As lucrative as the mission tables have been, I really haven't utilized them fully. For one, I really dislike levelling alts, and on top of that this expansion required that you go out and get OH resources to fuel the missions. Was too much of a time investment for me.
I am in support of gold missions and hope they are eventually added to BFA. In Legion, I have had 6 toons tasking missions and have found it to be decent supplemental income to raw mat farming. Maintaining OH resources and tasking missions for 6 chars to me seems manageable without being tedious.
TSM4 looks very neat, but I'm going to wait the RC version. I am not suprised the gold missions are going away, same thing happened in WoD /cry . Farming gold takes a lot of time in Legion imo, I prefer to enjoy the game in the little time I have.
Im really suprised that Blizz adds such easy money making things still. They kinda shoot themselves in the foot by then having to make large gold sinks when the goblins find a way to make tons of gold of of it!
their are serious issues right now with the wow economyfor instancesecrets of draenor - already have a value of at least 2.5 g (if you sell them)yet the matts are being sold at less than this (average 50s per, being sold for 10s or less per)then you got people selling enchants for 9g..when the greens disenchanted to make them are worth 25-55g SURE MAKES SENSE DOESN'T IT..and it costs on average 5 disenchants to make 1 enchant that you auction for 9g?in canada, you cannot win lottery without answering skill testing question... please for the love of all things sacred blizzard force people to answer a simple math question when making an account for your game.even if it is just 2+2 =?
i am all for blizzard removing auction house completely and giving guilds "guild unions" in an effort to stabilize the economy and give it back into the hands of the players. as "guild union" you could set certain guild members to be in charge of selling things for your "guild store". people who purchase from you could be sent off on quests to gain "guild union rep" whihc would give them a discount. the idea here would be that 5 or more people in every guild would control how much they were selling said items for, while blizzard would also continue to incorporate a set base price. welcome echanges i also want to seeall profession created items now have a fluctuating vendor price, which changes based on how much the matts to create that item are being sold for. IE if it cost you 1200g to make a sword, you should be able to vendor said sword for 800g not the current 45g etc..said technology is already in place with the wow token. cuz currently, the economy works like thisit costs 100g to make this item - so i will sell it for 1 milliongit costs 0g to make this item but took me months to farm it so i will sell it for 1 billion gi could have sold the materials i had to make this item for 2500g, but instead i made this other item from those materials and auctioned it for 1sthey no longer sell guardian cub on the blizzard store, it is not possible to acquire this pet anymore - so it must be worht 1sthis whole idea of "everything is worth whatever somoene says it is worth " does not work. it is not real. a long time ago, in a galaxy far far away, blizzard was recognized for the blood plague, which scientists studied to simulate in real life the effects of the spread of disease..now wow is known for people spamming rude comments in trade and selling things for less than they are worth or whatever they bleep they feel like on the ah, polluting the market and causing serious problems.
I didn't play much before the latest time. But now I'm back and, like everyone, need moooooooore gold! But I'm a starter in this business. Unfortunately I have only one character who is high enough for Order Hall missions. But I try to do my best.Hopefully I'll have more time for WoW in BfA. So I will be able to make more characters and grind all the gold coins in Azeroth :)
Are reputation missions still availible during BfA? they are actually a gold source since you can send all the rep tokens to 1 character after stockpiling them, then using them all during darkmoon faire for more rep bonus +human bonus and for extra minmax during a rep % event, and then open the paragon boxes.
I’ve known all along that people ran mass alts to get al the gold they can from these missions... and I have ignored it because I don’t want to spend my only time playing this game on alts, resources and missions.... but I have to admit I kind of wish I did now...
I know why the Order Hall gold missions have to be removed, but it still kinda makes me sad. I used them as a nice supplemental income while I was at work or out somewhere I couldn't play WoW at. Same thing with the Mobile AH. Good for when I'm not home.
