Thanks for link to that recipe tracking tool, really helpful (and easy to use too!). I'd rather grind for some recipes myself than to buy them off AH for horrendous amount of gold. I am not real Completionist but still got that bit of "catch them all" :) Still searching for few enchanting recipes like Fishing and Battlemaster, not because I really need them but it would feel nice to have all available recipes for my main profession.
I am so relieved they are finally removing the gold missions. I was surprised there were gold missions in Legion. In WoD I made 5 million just from logging in my alts every day 1-2 times. It was so tedious I hated just the thought of it. From the whole uproar against gold missions I thought there wouldn't be any in Legion at all. This expansion I didn't progress my alts to be able to do gold missions simply because I didn't want to go through the same thing, I decided I would play for fun only. Now I'm broke but I still don't regret it because it's better to broke than have a melted brain :D
I have 18 characters doing the Class Hall Missions if a gold mission comes up, and I've got 2 new 110s that will get me to 20 chars soon. I greatly enjoy getting passive gold from order halls and garrisons in WoD. I really hope there's something similar in BFA.
I've been playing beta and there are new gold missions but they only reward 450 gold and bonus roll another 450. Kinda of a downgrade from legion. Should be 2-3k :)
i dont get i why you need to to the order hall to be competetive in gold making...have 13 lvl 110 but i just couldnt do argus on all that chars b/c its lame af so yeah.. if its boring - dont do it^^
Currently, I have 24 characters (1 of each class on both factions) actively running order hall missions (checking in at least once a day). I'm easily able to meet my order resource needs by having the classes with a world quest auto-complete feature gather Blood of Sargeras from world quests to maintain themselves and other less fortunate classes by converting the bloods to order resources. I didn't create any of these characters expressly for farming gold. I simply enjoy being able to play any spec on either faction, having a familiarity with all the classes, and having more chances at time-limited content (lockouts, holidays, etc.). Typically, I'm not in any rush to level these characters. I level my main and a few of my favorites early in the expansion and then I generally wait until heirlooms or some other mechanic makes leveling easier for the rest. However, I've found Legion order hall missions to be so lucrative that I am going to make leveling these alts for the purpose of follower mission gold grinding one of my highest priorities going into Battle for Azeroth. I figure the earlier I can get them up and running, the more gold they'll make me over the course of the expansion and the more worthwhile the time investment in leveling them. I don't enjoy the grind, but it covers all of my in-game expenses and, thanks to the token, all my battle.net purchases as well (and I play every battle.net game other than Hearthstone fairly regularly). I've always been averse to getting into the gold-making game because I've assumed it would require a significant amount of research and time to be worthwhile, and I've never looked into it thoroughly enough to dissuade me from this viewpoint. Follower missions at least are straightforward, reliable, and consistent, which suits me well enough. I'm just looking for a quick buck to feed my WoW collecting habit and subsidize my battle.net purchases.
I did 4 characters n Legion doing Order Hall missions. My biggest issue was keeping them stocked with resources every day, mainly blood missions. I plan to do 15 characters in BFA, if the costs are reduced, allot of gold, but I take allot of time doing on each toon. I like/dislike the system. Easier gold, but also a long grind.
I only ended up with 3 fully maximized order halls, which is funny considering how much time I spend making gold in WoW. I am definitely getting on that from the start in BfA, the passive income is so good, and so easy when you can start missions from the companion app. I was lucky enough to get into the TSM4 beta a while ago, and it is definitely worth getting into now to familiarize yourself before BfA comes out. The changes they've made are nice, more intuitive.
omg not goin to collect 5m for my longboi
99% of the time I spend on my main character, so it's unlikely I'll start farming gold from the beginning of the expansion. However, I feel like it's going to be worth it when the first catch-up mechanics will be live - that's when I'm going to level 5-6 other characters.
I honestly hate the Order Hall grind, since it's so good, so you kinda have to do it if you have a lot of alts. Maintaining 10+ alts and trying to have enough resources to do the missions constantly is a pain in the ass. Especially when I actually played my alts and used resources for seals and things like that. Also my phone doesn't support companion app so that wasn't an option (tried using an emulator and that didn't work for some reason as well), so that was extra annoying.
This is the first expansion where I haven't maxed all professions. To me, requiring max level (or close to it) for professions is one thing. But also requiring a quest chain (including dungeons) in order to get most of the recipes makes it tedious and takes all the fun out of it. So my professions aren't even Legion-ready at this point, let alone BFA-ready.
i have lvled 21 char to lvl 110 only to do order hall missions for gold ! and i'll be really pissed if they remove it in BFA... as im soooo happy to NOT to pay anything for playing the game ! hell i have bought other blizzard games with wow token aswell ! so i hope they will add more gold missions in BFA and i really hope they keep the one in legion too xD
i might finally try to master TSM for BFA nownew tsm is gonna replace 3 other addons for mefiguring how to set default prices has been the hardest for me
I ended up with 12 characters running the order hall missions for gold, though I was a little late to the party - only really started doing it in January, but i didn't just rely on those for the gold, i used the gold to start flipping things on the AH.
I've recently been working my way through the order hall missions on alts. Hadn't bothered up to now as the upkeep was annoying even if it was "easy". I'm interested to find out if there is actually anything useful to keep running them for other than maybe the rep tokens for paragon mounts.
I've only done maximum level Order Hall missions on my Demon Hunter, who's currently (and will most likely still be in the future) my main character. I sometimes do the ones that award gold, and I think they're useful when you want to get a little extra towards buying a new mount or such, so I'll be doing them also if they're available in Battle for Azeroth. However, I won't go out of my way to make sure I'm doing them as soon as they're up, since the concept of playing just to make gold doesn't appeal to me at all. Already have enough of that with having a job IRL. :P
