Personally I focused mostly on my main character and therefore didn't gain as much gold as others. But since I started to play this game since WoD there are just endless amounts of knowledge I am still missing about this game and this "easy" way of making some gold comes in very handy until you can actually figure the stuff out that works best for you
Oooh, Kruithne's tool is what I've been looking for for a while now. Thanks for that link!
For me making gold from order hall missions to buy tokens is the only way i can pay for WoW. Because I have no money in real life lol
It sucks that I missed all the gold from these last two expansions. I thought I had a decent amount before I quit in MoP but the inflation is so real. Oh well. Hell yeah.
I had 5 characters geared up to 950 ilvl doing order hall gold missions everyday or whenever I could send them out, and 3 characters doing gold missions rewarding less gold (the followers weren't leveled all the way up, so the 600/1k + 1.5k bonus gold missions weren't available for them).I do plan on starting gold making through mission tables as soon as I start playing BFA. I think it's a pretty easy and steady option for people who want to make some gold who don't necessarily enjoy playing the AH game.
I am very sad that I had a break from WoW at Tomb patch, and when I came back a few months ago, everyone was with their 2000 gold missions, and it took me time to do all the quests, get follower upgrades and only recently I started getting those really high gold missions and.. it's removed soon :( My other 110 alt doesn't have those, I don't have that much time to grind all the quests to get these missions :( So.. :(
Damn new TSM lookin' hella sexy
I run table on my main only and I think it is a chore.
I used Kruithne Recipes to check which one am missing, but Kruithne Recipes is changed now.I remember a while ago that you could see who had all the profession from lets say Engineer. Is that link gone now?Am still scared to use TSM addon lol, i am not english and it difficult to understand all the things in TSM , as mistakes can be made easy.Still making the gold the old way :)
I'm sad about quest i think they were a nice addition, didn't give too much but just enough to be worthy.Tsm looks good tbh i started using it in legion still pretty new to it but looking forward to learn it more for bfa and the new interface looks dope.
I never knew about gold making streamers, although I shouldn't be surprised that it is a thing that people do. I'm quite interested in the idea of the ones that roleplay, I'll certainly check those out. Same with the crafters because that is how I prefer to make my gold.

I only had 2 characters running missions as opposed to ~10 in WoD.I found the expansion very alt-unfriendly and unsurprisingly the missions were a lot less lucrative.I didn't enjoy the mission grind (or any other grind aspects) in Legion, so much so that I may well not play BfA at all unless I get some free subscription time ;)
As a newer goblin, I really only had 2 maybe 3 characters doing gold missions. I made it my goal in legion though to get the 传说之战 feat of strength (completed it like, last week). So going into BFA I now have an army of alts that I can take advantage of. Currently they are all sitting outside of dragon soul trying to farm the damn Alextrasza mount, but I'm sure they will be sitting at a rare or something come BFA. Thanks for these articles, really appreciate the effort the goblin community puts to help all players.
I don't think that I have my favourite gold-maker streamer, but I like to watch videos/streams to get a few more ideas how to farm gold or maybe do it in more profeccient way. I'm sure there will be ways to earn gold in BfA. Make 5 million gold to buy that mount will take quite a time for me.
I have 12 Characters running Order Hall Missions, and I still do Garrison Missions when I have the time. If the gold missions in BFA are worth the few mins by end game, as Legion and Wow were, then I will do the grind to earn the gold. Missions can be easy gold, plus Garrison missions have items you can sell for 20k. I do enjoy it, I know I must be odd but for me it is easy and passive. However, I do admit that Legion was harder with the grind because you had to farm resources, so I haven't been able to maintain missions every day when I am busy in RL. Also, Gumdrops is my favorite gold streamer :) I started watching to learn things, which I still do from time to time, but mainly I watch for fun.
I ended up only bothering doing order hall missions with my alts that had the ability to autocomplete a world quest. Otherwise logging in and maintaining resources to do missions was annoying. My hunter only gets dusted off when I need to enchant a new piece of gear for my main.
I have as many characters running the order hall missions as I do max-level ones, so 13 right now. I do most of my missions on the Legion mobile ap, in 5 minute bursts 2 or 3 times a day. I'm by no means rich compared to what the richest people in the game have but I've been building a tidy sum, enough to buy expansions, subs and even other Blizzard games using nothing but gold. I can't say I enjoy the grind but it certainly generates more gold per time than anything else I'd be willing to do. The fact I can do it all during short idle times when I'm not playing the game also means I can worry about doing the things I actually like when I'm on the game itself, and that's a huge plus. I'll definitely start on the BFA missions quite soon if they generate the same kind of gold.
I love this Kruithne Recipes tool. I remember farming for BS recipes in BC times (hours spend by killing innocent humans for recipe). And during later expansion there was a new JWC recipe with low drop. Final gems was on AH for 2000% of their normal value and recipe itself for 20000g... I bought this recipe in trade chat for 10g.... That was a nice time ;-)
I have two mains which I play the most and three alts. Actually I'm trying to get my 5th character to 110 lvl to make some (I know it won't be much but still) money. Well, I don't really think it's fair because some people have like tens of 110 chars and they farm the gold equally on the same character. The other players who don't play 24/7 are in worse position.I wish Blizzard made different missions, like gold making mostly for mains, so you aren't forced to make alts, farm resources, do quests to unlock the missions etc...
