Okay so. We go from blaming Illidan. "Killing him." Bringing him back. Giving him a just cause for everything. Now we're blaming him again?
Hell, It's about time.
OMG! So we don't go to Argus, Illidan brings Argus to us?
I remember watching the clip from Blizzcon when they revealed we were going to Argus. They said "There's almost nothing I can tell you that wouldn't be a TREMENDOUS spoiler right now." I said to myself "Yeah, right. I think we can pretty much guess that we'll be using the Exodar, or the Fel Hammer, or the Keystone to travel there. What could possibly be so spoiler-y about that?"(watches cinematic)(jaw drops)".........oh, I was wrong. Oh, so very, very wrong........."I never would have guessed this in a million years! Good job, Blizz! I'm SOOOO excited, I'm practically dancing in my seat! :)
Can't shake the feeling that Velen gave Kiljaeden sort of a last rites ritual out of respect for his "brother" and probably a vision of the final defeat of Sargeras before he left..
So in regards to the Maiev dialogue that didn't make it to live, to whom was she referring? Illidan or someone else? The looking towards the sky part confused me.
Citizens of Dalaran, look to the sky and observe...
inc "World of Starcraft!" Confirmed....
so....I guess Illidan forces Argus out of the position between the twisting nether and the Great Dark Beyond, benefiting for a less influencial zone and maybe taking Sargeras out of reach ? Cause I can't really see how a translocation affects Sargeras's power so was no logic to do it for that porpose. In rest I can only see it as a suplimentary stupidity of Illidan, toying with the balance of the universe. Or we sacrifice an entire universe to save all other paralel universes (unless there is a thin tie between all universes).
As a question tho, will we already see Argus on the sky ?
That was damn cool.Loved Khadgar's "omg wtf illidan moment".Wonder if he'll kick his ass.
I think that is just a portal, he didn't bring Argus to us, I think its supposed to be a wormhole. That could at least explain the gravities.. gravitys.. is that word?.. not interacting.
Simply put, Illidan's sole purpose is to defeat the Legion, but he can't do this on his own. So, in rather typical Illidan fashion, he forces everyone to pay attention to him... by directly connecting Azeroth and Argus through a portal that he originally created for a clutch escape. As a fan of Illidan's character since WC3, I like it. It has his name written all over it. Illidan was never and will never be a good guy, or a bad guy for that. He's selfish, with his own vision and ambitions, which sometimes cause trouble for everyone and other times they're world-saving. Was bringing Argus right next door to Azeroth a wise decision? Hell no. Will it be effective? Most likely (unless WoW ends with Legion and us failing on Argus), but that doesn't mean it was the best course of action. Illidan simply wanted the Legion out of the picture, so he created a situation where everyone can't help but take the fight to the Legion. And nice throwback to the Frozen Throne opening, a nostalgic and fitting touch.
I doubt Illidan is saving anyone in the end however. I am willing to bet that he will turn to the dark side of the moon, just as Sargeras did. After all they did exactly the same, fighting demons.I can't understand by any means how Illidan is presented the savior of the universe, the chosen one, since he as a few thousand years elf empowered with demonic force could not even defeat Arthas before merging with The Lich King, a not fully empowered 30 years old human.
