Yesterday at gamescom we unveiled World of Warcraft: Legion, the next chapter in the Warcraft saga—but that was just the beginning. Members of the development team will be jumping back onto a stream this Sunday, August 9 at 8 a.m. PDT to dive further into the expansion’s features and content.

Demon Hunters will wear leather and be melee--they aren't ranged/mail since it doesn't fit the fantasy.

Demon Hunters will use a new weapon type, Glaives

Demon Hunters are a Hero class and will start at a higher level (above 90)

There are no weapon drops in Legion, you will be focused on your Artifact Weapon.

Although the IV interview stated that there will not be any legendary weapons in Legion, the vanion.eu interview suggested that Artifact weapons can become legendary - similar to how the cape in MoP got cooler through several patches. Specifics of artifact progression are still undecided.

Artifact weapons can be transmogged into other weapons but not vice versa.

Blizzard is working on a system for those players who have Artifact weapons but often play more than one spec. They dont want it to be painful.

There will be a "Warforged" system but this will not apply to Artifact weapons. The Warforged/Socket/Extra Stats system may even be expanded upon, for more variance.

Dalaran clarifications: you'll still access a Wrath-era version in Northrend, but there's a Broken Isles version in Legion.

Karazhan mentioned as "an important place" but no reveal other than that. It's presence in the cinematic was noted for this reason.

Several classes are in major re-development mode i.e. Survival Hunters becoming a melee spec and Demo Warlocks being masters of summoning demons, not becoming them.

Hunters: Survival will be melee with a pet, Beast Mastery will be ranged with a pet, Marksmanship will be ranged with no pet.

No stat squish for Legion

Profession overhaul is coming

Flying will come in a similar fashion to how it came in Warlords.

PvP gear clarifications: no longer have unique stats like Dual Item Level like in the past and they want to define PvP on the honor system. Many more changes are coming to PvP, we should be getting more clarification on this soon.

Blizzard is working out a way to retain interest in 5 mans throughout the course of an expansion.

The developers feel the Joust mechanic is a good counter to low-cost aggressive decks.

The Inspire mechanic greatly changes the value of Hero Powers and adds a new dimension to the game.

New Heroes Revealed: Rexxar (& Misha), a Warrior hero, Kharazim, a melee Support hero, and a Starcraft Medic, a ranged Support hero.

New Skins and Mounts Revealed: Master Kharazim, Jade Dragon Kharazim, Master Rexxar, Frostlord Rexxar, Judgement Uther and Themed Abilities, Earthbreaker Thrall and Themed Abilities, Sgt. Doomhammer and Themed Abilities, Prisoner Tychus, Blackheart’s Doubloon Mount, Malthael’s Phantom Steed Mount, Treasure Goblin Mount, Judgement Uther’s Charger Mount.

Changes to Ranked Play:Changes to ranked play revealed today include: Introduction of Placement Matches to improve visible ranking accuracy, changes to point system at Rank 1, introduction of easier queuing system for teams - Ranked Mode will place you according to party size, and the addition of the Grandmaster Rank before next season.

Dynamic Bundles and Gold Changes: A new pricing system for items will be coming with the next Heroes patch. "Dynamic Bundles are bundles that offer three or more items, and their prices will be reduced when you already own one or more of the items they contain." Gold will be granted to those who have already purchased the same item twice (before Dynamic Bundles). Gold will be granted to players who created named Team League teams. The Nexus Bundle is being replaced with the Storm Bundle.

I would have gone for the cloth-wearer tank.. but hey, leather is fine for me.
The flying stuff, I hope it doesn't come on the second or third patch, most people finished "The Dreanor experience" by 6.1.

I don't know how to feel about the artifact being our only weapon for the entire xpa.. although, if you need strong weapons to fight strong foes.. feels right.

Still: happy that we're seeing some diversification.

I hope disc priests get more support for atonement and maybe more stable slots and pet families for hunters.

i dont think it would be a good idea to make demon hunters start any higher then 85 especially since i was going to use my lvl 90 boost on the next class available btw now that demon hunters will be introduced there will be 6 classes struggling to get leather gear until lvl 40 when it goes down to 4

Glad to see they heard me and started working on it ASAP ;)

But seriously, Rogues need some work to make their specs feel more special...probably the warrior DPS specs...even mage to an extent (at least their skills are different colors to make them feel more special).

I'd also like to see them do some work on Disc priest. Not remove their shields...but maybe make shields less of a "this is what they do" thing. When I think Discipline, I think "that's a paddlin"...Bring back healing through damage, even if it's weak damage that does something like 300% healing for the damage you do. At least it's something :p Also was thinking I'd like to see a skill you cast at an enemy to damage it, and it explodes with healing (similar to Mind Sear but with the AoE part doing healing).

Also want to see shamans reworked. I hate how their totems work. I'd honestly rather put down basic totems that are basically permanent for the fight (or at least way longer duration), then use spells to empower the totems. Something...I don't know. The way they work now just feels clunky. Also, can we do something about water shield and lightning shield? Mages had their shields moved to passives, would be nice to get the same treatment here.

Really looking forward to everything they're working on. Also can't wait to hear more about the transmog system :D评论来自 roguehead
