Remember that BGs are there to have fun before anything else. Whatever happens, being negative towards your team can only result in more frustration for everyone including you, often leading to a more certain defeat.Stivas - Sinstralis (EU)
Set up a premaid ? :pSeems to work as they gankin' the %^&* out of everything.
I've been doing WSG since PVP came out, back then I was a ret pally, I am now a holy pally. In Vanilla WoW, one with good gear could simply use a speed potion, CC any defender, take the boots and run out, if they'd get in trouble, pop free-action potion and the game's over. But it is now a bit more complicated, with some "buff limitations" on the FC, the tactic I found out to be the best nowadays is to stay in a group of 10 (the Turtle formation, not referring to a "turtle game", but the the Roman turtle formation), with me as the FC.-> High surv of the paladin will make the enemies waste their time trying to take him down, while the paladin (and others healers) can out-heal the damage done-> During that time, the DPS allies can take down the EFC's healer and slow the enemy group down.-> Finally when their healers are down, take the EFC down asap. This strat works well because:1. Being a group of 10 usually gives you the upper hand since the enemy's probably not in a group of that size2. A healer should be able to outheal 2 reasonable DPS classes, which means 3 or even 2 healers can outlast a lot of DPS!3. You'll have time to see where EFC is going and consequently adapt your trajectory to it (ie: run into them, dont let em flee!)Throrin of Khadgar (US)
Using the nitro-rocket boots will make you drop the flag
Ret Paladins -- When flag carrier, or being overrun while defending, pop 50% Damage bubble, Battlemaster's trinket, sacred shield, and Divine Sacrifice, judgement of justice occasional enemy chasing you to, not just slow them, but get Art of War proc to heal yourself with sacred shield proc for instant flash crit/sheath heal. You'll most likely not die if you time these accordingly while healing yourself.
You must be able to do some kind of burst speed that doesn't drop the flag. You need also some kind of way to reduce your fall speed. Don't know does this work for alliance or does it even work anymore. So only seen horde do this. So, get the flag. Run outside from the upper door. Make your way on the fence there, run and jump while you have the burst speed and reduced falling on. You will fly over the battlefield. I have seen times when ppl get over a half map with the flag - and intact.Emmanuel - Silvermoon EU

KILL IT
For hunters: Put your pet on "stay" near the flag and set it to "aggressive." If you have a cat, also put it in stealth mode. Your pet start will act as an early warning system for sneaky or stealthed enemies going for your flag. Daidamia, Duskwood

Alot of people have already wrote alot of good tips and tricks for WSG. I don't think I need to go over them all again. I'll just write what made me a better PVPer. Work as a team. That's the most important rule. Before the bg starts get a plan together and carry it out. If nobody is saying anything ask "Whats the plan?" or "Where should I be, to help out the best?" Don't be shy ask. That's how you learn. There are many good tips and strategies to win in WSG and you'll never know with out asking. If you have a plan or know what your doing please take the lead. I've found that a lot of people really don't know what to do or how to be effective or use their classes full potential in WSG or any other BG. And all they want is a little direction and are happy and thankful for the assistance. I've seen to many, where people run around doing what they want or not knowing what to do, instead of working as a team and they get slaughtered for it. Just be on the same page with everyone else, take the lead if you can (be nice!), help out players that ask, and if you work together you'll win or it will be an epic battle. And thats when WSG becomes fun cause nobody likes losing.
Creampies - StormrageZerg everything. you'll be hitting the opposite side in places they didn't know they had. It's easy... its simple... Really too bad people don't realize that most BGs aren't premades, and by the time the s6 geared rogue / warrior with their scrubby heroic epics are done farming free HKs and realize what's happening, it's too late for them to do anything.People would rather, whether you think their behavior reflects it or not, just gank people.
