TBC Pre-patch Starts & Token Prices Soar
The excitement for Burning Crusade Classic is well under way and many are returning to Classic Azeroth to investigate and prepare for the opening of the Dark Portal. Of interesting note is the Wow Token has rapidly risen to previous highs from a month after Classic launched...
Price chart courtesy of
There are a number of reasons the token price will rise and fall, much of the speculation centers around the launch of Burning Crusade Classic.
TBC pre-patch just came out which also means the new TBC boost and Deluxe edition came out. The Deluxe edition is $70 USD which is 5 WoW tokens in NA. People are wanting to buy the deluxe edition and the boost with gold.
Also SL released exactly 6 months ago this Sunday, so could be contributing to the bump ... people who bought 6 months subscriptions during SL pre-expansion patch and now want to continue playing without paying more.
It's not quite Legion highs of 400,000g but it significant and will probably continue to rise until 9.1 is released.
TSM Support for Burning Crusade Classic
With the release of Burning Crusade Classic on the horizon, the
team have been hard at work making sure the suite of TSM tools work for BCC...
Our latest addon version 4.10.39 brings complete support for Burning Crusade Classic, along with pricing data via the TSM Desktop App. However, please note the following on when you might receive data for the first 24 hours.
This pricing data is running on a completely new backend system we have been working hard on since the launch of Shadowlands. This first use case will see data distributed to batches of users to test and confirm stability. Please
add your realm to your account
and leave the Desktop App running after launching.
Since we are using our new system, we have also introduced some changes from 4.11 early to BCC specifically:
Pricing snapshots for BCC servers will now also include Region-based Sale Data (DBRegionSaleRate & DBRegionSoldPerDay)!
DBRegionMinBuyoutAvg has been retired
These changes will be introduced to Vanilla and Retail where appropriate in the near future.
Please do let us know if you have any issues by joining our Discord server
A big thankyou to the TSM team for all their hard work! Without TSM, I expect we would be a whole lot poorer in the game!
Ultimate Vendor Shuffle Guide
has been diligently updating his "Cheat Sheet" spreadsheet since before Shadowlands launched. This time, the focus is on working out if any vendor shuffles are viable now that prices of materials are much lower..
So with 9.1 still a while away, materials are crashing on many realms. Buying some of those items, crafting items, and then vendoring (or disenchanting) can be very profitable when the prices are good.
So... It was time to update the
"Shadowlands Cheat Sheet"
- Specifically the Vendor Shuffle Tab.
(If you wish to edit and use your own realms prices File -> Make a copy)
For those who just love answers, the main crafts to focus on are as follows;
Tailoring - Shrouded Cloth Robe for Vendoring, Shrouded Cloth Bracers for Disenchanting and for those with very cheap Lightless silk, Shadowlace Cuffs for disenchanting.
Leatherworking - Desolate Leather Armguards for vendoring or disenchanting. Composite Bow for Vendoring is bones are also cheap.
Jewelcrafting has some surprise winners, if you have large amounts of gems that you would otherwise vendor. Deadly Laestrite Choker for disenchanting.
The Spreadsheet is super easy to use, and unless you wish to customise it further you should only ever need to fill in the yellow boxes.
I have a short video covering the basics and some bonus tips for those who want to vendor shuffle at scale using TSM.
The latest version of the Spreadsheet is linked on my discord, along with the changelog for those interested in the future.
Hope it is helpful, and happy shuffling!
Phoenix Boosting Community Shutting Down
The concept of "Boosting" for gold has been around since then games inception, but these days the operations are highly sophisticated and organized. One of the larger ones has unfortunately disbanded ...
Hello everyone!I just got news from the 2 individuals Jack and I had on
The Auction House Podcast
a couple weeks ago that the Phoenix Boosting Community, one of the biggest boosting communities has been shut down, contacts say that it was an internal admin issue. A couple of admins reportedly quit the game and 1 went to another boosting community (reportedly planned poaching) with majority of raid teams.
670m gold of pre-order sales from the last 1-2 weeks is now to be refunded or completed. This is huge news that impacts thousands of players in the game! I would imagine much of the community is gonna flow into other boosting communities but it will be a huge process!!
I wonder what kind of waves this will cause in the overall WoW boosting communities. What do you guys think? Will it cause any real impact on the overall WoW Economy?
There is understandably large quantities of gold involved in boosting at the level it is currently. There is bound to be concern and speculation around these services when organization changes hands. From the ashes of this one, I'm sure many others will rise to prominence. It is known.
Super Squirt & Pet Trading
With the recent
Super Squirt Day on EU
, many will turn their attention to trading pets over many realms.
u/haunter81 has released a handy little Pet Pattle scanning utility
I've recently re-created a battlepet scanner (alpha stage) which uses blizzard's api (my previous one was scraping sites). This program can get all battlepets' prices from 20 different servers (my testing limit, although there isn’t actually any limit since it can grab a server's prices within 5 seconds), and evaluate them .
it can produce a table for each pet's prices starting from the lowest (it scans any pet amongst 20 servers)
it can sort all pets based on price so you can find which server has the cheapest specific pet
it can evaluate historical data (atm a week's long data) and monitor which pet has dropped its price a lot
It can manually scan for prices or log to my server to grab the hourly collected ones. All scans and the output are instant.
The upcoming features will be:
a) Push notifications on browser when a pet's price drops a lot(configurable)
b) Monitor somehow sales (i know it’s not accurate, especially on pets)
c) QOL things (like search field, etc)
I hope you enjoy the video, any feedback is appreciated. In the following days (possibly within this week), i am planning to release here, either a binary from my program or the .py itself so you can use it, test it and evaluate it.
Thanks in advance for you time
If you are interested in levelling pets in the future, this handy image from
helps for planning ahead ..
I hope this helps in selling and levelling pets, it's an interesting method for expanding your gold making into multiple realms.
