First Classic Ahn'Qiraj War Effort Completed in 14 Hours on Sulfuras
The first Ahn'Qiraj
war effort has been completed on the Sulfuras
(US-PvP) server in just 14 hours, showcasing the servers dedication to stockpiling material turn ins well ahead of Phase 5. The only thing left for them to do now is to ring the gong, which will require one more Blackwing Lair run this coming reset. The very first opening of the gates of Ahn'Qiraj was opened on the Medivh server on January 22nd 2006, 19 days following the release of patch 1.9.
The bulk of these materials were raised by the guild <GRIZZLY FROM REDDIT>, contributing 98% of the total turn ins. The guild found specific farm spots with fast respawns and gave players quotas to help contribute, though many of the guild members went above and beyond in order to make sure they made the goal, using their mailboxes to store the massive amount of items. You can see how they tracked their efforts in the spreadsheet below.
Still, just because Sulfuras has accomplished it doesn't mean every server is so far ahead though, Herod and Benediction are two very large servers currently still scrounging materials, which goes to show how proper organization is key to success in this endeavor, such as our previous coverage of the relatively small server Incendius having
already collected all their materials
, using a spreadsheet to coordinate their efforts. If you're on one of those servers still working on your own turn-ins, or simply interested in learning more about what these servers are going through, check out our Phase 5, Ahn'Qiraj War Effort guides!
