I seen this Item for sale in Undercity for 10 silver.

Maybe there are more quests for it.

The guy who sells this has Blue Moon (or Orb) Odds and Ends. He's in the inner ring of the UC down towards where the herbalist is. Ask a guard for the herbalism trainer and you'll then get the flag kinda close to where this vendor is.

I got this quest on alliance side, where do I get the Field Testing Kit ?

It's for a level 42 quest that starts in the apothecary. You don't need to keep it, the quest starts off telling you to purchase this (you dont buy it tho, it is given to you by the guy at Blue Moon Odds & Ends). Quest is called Errand for apothecary Zinge if you wanna look it up.

- Accepted the quest
- Grinded 12 of each item
- Went to UC (flew to OG - zep to UC - bought the stuff from Luca at Odds and Ends to the right of the herbalism guy - HS to Gadgetzan)
- Tested the stuff
- 8 scorpids, 8 hyenas, 5 basilisks
- had to grind 10 more basilisks (around Noxious Glade)
- 53 minutes to spare

Easiest ever, just takes a tad of the thing we humanoinds like to call time. If you're clever, you hit 2 in 1 by doing Gahz'rilla at the same time :)

...a quest from the Underground Apothecary Section in UC. The fact that you have to BUY it to do the quest also kinda blows. (tho I guess most tradeskill type quests do require some purchases)

The final rewards for this quest series seem to be geared for cloth wearers, even the cloak isn't worth it for melee classes. Why there is a set of leather gloves is also beyond me. I only got this cuz I'm a warrior with alchemy. ah well. Magic quests, pfft. o_O

Especially after reading about the ease that the Mages were able to nuke everything, and my attempt at messing with these untested samples, I'm dropping this quest series. Follow the messenger path for the free xp perhaps, but skimp on the research... that's for Graduate Students :)

As of yesterday you do not need to buy this kit in order to do the quest for the horde. She will give you a voucher for the kit, and the kit is put on the Undercity's tab.

I'm currently level 40. I bought a field testing kit many levels ago. I'm still not high enough level to start this quest.

Classic UPDATE!
So I had this item in my bags for many levels, couldnt find a use for it. (apparently they give you the item abit premature.)
I deleted it, 3-4 levels later i come back to quest in Tanaris and they ask me to bring them a Field Testing Kit! I dont know how to get another one, nor how I am to complete this quest now :O.
Also wowhead is saying the item is not available to players?
Very strange predicaments, I suppose this is just another 1 of many quests ill just have to skip.
