Perfect for fire mages and warlocks.
The image for this is really cool, there was a link somewhere on the elitist jerks website.
im no genius (cant even spell he word) nor have i ever been in naxx, bbut my best guess is that it drops from a nerubian mob, or even a bos named nerubian..seems pretty farfetch name a boss with the same name as its race tho
Drops of Nerub'Rekhan, which is the first boss in the spider wing.
i can see it in the modelviewer item>objectcomponents>weapon list you can view a lot of nax items there just look at every one with naxxramas or stratholme in the name
Spider with a gem, who`da thunk it?
We disenchanted our first one.
This off-hand doesn't suck. The effects of lowering a targets resistance even by 10 is huge! It's equviliant to +3% Hit chance with spells, plus it can increase the amount of damage you do with spells (in the sense that your target is resisting some or most of it).
You see tons of equipement with +%crit and +%hit, but you don't see much -magic resistance. You know why?.... because it's freaking insanely godly good. The fact that you DEed this, show's not only how stupid you are for aggreeing with the disenchant, but it shows how suicidially stupid your guild is. Blizzard is giving you the tools to finish off higher bosses, and you turn them into common candy crap just because you don't understand the power of it. Did your guild disenchant the Eye of Moam too? or did someone in your guild have atleast an IQ of 45 and enough understanding how wicketly good -magic resistance is?
I find -resist items are excellent for situations where you need to do aoe damage.
Generally it doesn't make sense to use curse of elements/shadows on events like the suppression room so -resist stats go a long way in increasing the damage you do.
If you want to see the difference first hand, compare the numbers that pop up on corehound packs before and after they have CoE on them (for hellfire moreso).
And here I go, putting it on my wishlist, if you know any better off-hand for a Mage, please link it..
dropped for my guild last night. took it on my rogue to complete my druid wildheart set. going mace spec with end of dreams.
can't underestimate the power of sometimes gaining 40 energy when hit in combat.
Back scratcher..... i rest my case
Got it on my human lock
Methinks I needs new pants.
that would look cool on my gnome!
