But in the long run, you're gonna have a bunch of gold so i guess this would be good to get if gold isnt a problem. As a mage i like +spell dmg stuff so i can one shot high end warriors =)
I may be missing something, but as a +DMG lock.. when you have assloads of +dmg and less life, it makes the 200 health way more valuable. But I guess I'm thinking on a PvP standpoint. Because I have so much +DMG already, I'll only get +1.8% dmg on my Shadowbolts while +200life is 4.5% more life for me. Not to mention that the +200 life is just way cheaper to get.
Basically this seems costly but I think that's because PBD's are so insanely overpriced. They are dropping with a lot more frequency now and so the price is coming down... less than 50g now on Suramar -- I once sold one for 500g ... as PBD"s come down this will be a much easier enchant to obtain and will not seem as costly as it once did.
Arcanum of Focus
The Arcanum of Focus, by itself, enchant a leg or helm piece with +8 healing/damage. It is made by acquiring the following ingredients:
- A Libram of Focus (drops in Dire Maul West)
- A Pristine Black Diamond
- 2 Skins of Shadow (found in Scholomance, one per instance)
- 4 Large Brilliant Shards
Take the following ingredients to Lorekeeper Lydros. He resides in the Dire Maul library, which can only be accessed if one has the
. The easiest way to get to him is by entering Dire Maul North. This can be done without aggroing any mobs.
On its own, the Arcanum of Focus is an undesirable enchant. However, the Arcanum is used in conjunction with other materials for access to very powerful class-specific enchants available in Zul'Gurub for head and neck pieces. The NPC that provides these enchants is Zanza the Restless, and is located inside Zul'Gurub atop a pyramid by Mar'li and Bloodlord.
Below is a list of Arcanum of Focus enchants and the classes that require them:
Mage - Arcanum of Focus, Primal Hakkari Girdle, Mage Voodoo Doll:
Presence of Sight
18 Dmg/Heal, 1% chance to hit with spells
Priest - Arcanum of Focus, Primal Hakkari Tabard, Priest Voodoo Doll:
10 Sta, 4 Mana Regen, 24 Healing
Shaman - Arcanum of Focus, Primal Hakkari Sash, Shaman Voodoo Doll:
Vodouisant's Vigilant Embrace
15 Int, 13 Dmg/Heal
Other classes require different librams, dolls, and Primal Hakkari items for their equally excellent enchants. Please check
for more detailed information.
Dont waste it in this form ,try to get the enchant from zg using this and some other mats .
I used mine for Presence of Sight :+18 spell dmg and 1% chance to hit to a leg or head item.(mages enchant)
Does anyone know if this "friendly enchant" is soul bound, could i get it then enchant the leggings of another mage?
After 1.1, you can only turn in one libram of focus for an arcanum of focus. IF you turned in one before the patch, does that mean you can't turn one in after? Or does it mean that you cannot turn in two AFTER the patch. Has anyone had any experience with denied turn-ins? I would like to know before I drop another 300g for a librum.
i play a shaman, and i was looking forward to having a vodouisants on my head and another vodouisnats on my leg...
damn you bliz...
Where does this thing drops.......
Answer: 100-112 if youre a shaman..
it says that it increases healing and dmg
"by up to" 12.. lol
but that is just if you get the ZG enchant.. just the arcanum will only add up to 8+ healing
now i figured it out.. it permanently adds 8+ dmg healing.. its not like the other +dmg healing stuff that you normally find on items..
Depends on the wording, if it says adds up to x damge or healing then its on a diminishing return ie the lowest rank of the spell will only add a small percentage of this amount whereas casting the highest rank will add the full amount. But as this says it permanently adds 8 damage or healing then thats what it adds perfect for a level 19 caster twink but imo completly useless for a lvl 60pve as your zg enchant is much better
Appearantly you only need the primal item and voodoo doll as of 1.11... making these just fun and easy to attain until your ZG enchant.
If I apply one of these to a non-soulbound item, will it become bound?
Only if ur a mage noob stfu!
Be smart. Don't waste it.
