The drop rate on this quest was changed to around 50% as of the 2.0.1 Before the Storm patch

ur over exagerating a little bit. I was killing these guys for about 15min and got all 8. Plus you guys need to stop whining about tha drop %.....your grinding while completing a quest....lots of exp.

My 8 gathered Rot Blossoms dissappeared some time later while I was traveling in Westfall and Stormwind. I had to abandon the quest and start anew.
Submitted a bug report, no idea what caused it.
