This item is one of three items that players who bought the original collector's edition of World of Warcraft can chose from.
The Panda Collar can summon a 'Panda Cub' non-combat pet that will follow around the player most of the time. The little guy does seem a tad narcoleptic and will randomly fall asleep. Don't worry though since as soon as hes rested up he will come trotting back after you.
With this you can summon panda cub , you get it if you buy collector edition

Where does this come from? I've seena few, collector's edition or something? Or some obscure vendor?
Yeah, it's a collectors edition only pet.
Why does my all-time favorite animal gotta be CE only!
is it possible to keep all my charecters after buying the special edition?
so im wondering if anyone can tell me wether I can simply get CE, install it, and have the quest appear on my lvl 31 warrior.... or do i have to get a whole new guy to get the narcoleptic panda?
No you can't just install the collectors edition and recieve the pet, as there is no difference between the ce version and the normal one. The only difference is your account's key. When you make your account and enter your key it flags you as a collector's edition user. Every new character you make comes with an item that starts a quest with one of the NPC's nearby to get the panda, zergling, or mini-diablo.
The Panda Collar, the Zergling Leash (to summon a Zergling) and the Diablo Stone (to summon a Mini Diablo) are quest rewards (you get to pick one of them) for a quest that you get from a "gift voucher" that sits in your backpack along with the Hearthstone every time you create a character on an account registered with a key from a Collectors Edition box. If your character was created on an account registered with a key from a "standard edition" game box there is no way you will get any of these three pets on your character, short of having a Blizzard developer or maybe a GM load the item into your backpack while nobody's watching.
There is no difference at all between the game clients from the different edition boxes, the difference is in the key supplied inside the box.
yeah i think thats kinda weird but whatever.....cuz TBC is out in 3 more weeks!
Man, consider this one pricy cub. Look up "WoW Collector's Edition" in eBay. Not only is the original count of 75,000 almost completely have been used already, but the ones that haven't are going for ri-donkulous amounts of cash. I just finished shelling out close to $300 smackers for a new WoW Collector's Edition. One, because I collect the Collector's Editions of anything and two WoW is a pretty meaty slot in my agenda... why not spoil myself at something I do everyday? :D I'll tell ya something, though... TBC's Collector's Edition Exclusive Pet now takes the "Adorable Cake" as the Netherwhelp is just so ridiculously cute. Might wanna buy two CEs, people. Ebay's a callin'!
And you don't! XD
And, yeah, i love it! A little pronlem: Every day, at least FIVE people "Where did you get THAT?". Hn, it's very..boring.
But i think it's worth it! It's always fun to stand in the spotlights for a while ;)
could i do this... get collectors edition get a new account... transfer my 54 hunter over and then can i get my cool panda?
HAHAHA I LOVE THIS PET!
he tanked rag
He sleeps 95% of the time. Hell, I looked back while traveling once and I swear I saw ZZZ coming offa him. lol
Yes you get a gift on every character you make with an account that was activated with the Collectors Edition Box Set. You have the choice of the mini-diablo, zergling, or panda. No they can't be traded. It doesn't matter what class/race/alliance/horde you get the package.
So how does that work? Does every hunter start off with it or something?
its pointless but so damn lazily cool...
its actually goes to sleep if you stand still...
I've gone to MC, fought many an evil monster, and gone through the most dangerous terrain and my panda lives through it all and commonly sleeps through it all out of obvious boredom for it has seen tougher. Fear the panda.
(yes I know he can't be hurt... its a joke, people)
where do you get a panda collar? how do you get a panda?
No, you cant trade this item, because it binds when picked up.
If you own the original World of Warcraft collectors edition then you’ll be able to claim this pet in classic. Just like the old days. Though not during the beta.
