Welcome to Stormwind!
Hail traveler, and welcome to Stormwind! Located along the western edge of Elwynn Forest, Stormwind is the human capitol city and the seat of the Alliance faction. Steeped in history, Stormwind has withstood the test of time and the aftermath of several wars. No matter your reason for travel, Stormwind has something for everyone.
Getting Here
Stormwind is a popular location for Alliance heroes and adventurers due to its history an wide array of resources. The following are the different conventional methods Alliance citizens can reach Stormwind.
From Northshire Abby
New adventurers who select

as their character's race begin their journey at Northshire Abbey in Elwynn Forest. To reach Stormwind from Northshire:
Follow the path south out of Northshire to Goldshire
Upon reaching Goldshire, take the northwest road until you reach city gates.
Note:
Foolhardy and/or brave adventurers seeking more direct travel to Stormwind may run directly west after leaving Northshire. If you chose to not stick to the roads, beware! Thieves and dangerous wild animals stalk unsuspecting travelers who stray too far from the main roads. Travel at your own discretion!
From Ironforge
New adventurers who select

or

as their character's race begin their journey at Coldridge Valley and New Tinkertown in Dun Morough respectively. To get to Stormwind from these areas:
Follow the major road out of your race's starter zone to Kharanos
Take the north path from Kharanos to Ironforge
Follow the eastern route around Ironforge's interior until you reach the section of the city labeled "Tinker Town"
From Tinker Town, take the portal to the Deeprun Tram and board a tram
Upon reaching the opposite end of the tram, take the portal to arrive in Stormwind
Note:
If you get lost upon reaching Ironforge, speak with a guard, select the "Other Continents" option, and then select the "Stormwind and Other Alliance Capitols" option. Upon selection of the second option, the guard will then mark the location of the Deeprun Tram on your map with a red flag and a gold arrow with a dot on your minimap.
From Darnassus
New adventurers who select

as their character's race begin their journey at Shadowglen in Teldrassil. To get to Stormwind:
Take the path from Shadowglen to Dolanaar
Take the flightpath from Dolanaar to Darnassus
Run under the glowing pink structure next to the flight master
Take the portal at the central dock to Stormwind
Note:
If you get lost upon reaching Darnassus, speak with a guard, select the "Other Continents" option, and then select the "Stormwind City in the Eastern Kingdoms" option. Upon selection of the second option, the guard will then mark the location of the portal on your map with a red flag and a gold arrow with a dot on your minimap.
From Azuremyst Isle
New adventurers who select

as their character's race begin their journey in Ammen Vale. To get to Stormwind:
Head west from the Crash Site (through Ammen Fields) until you reach the pass between the mountains
From the pass, continue following the path west until you reach the dock at the western edge of Azuremyst isle
Take the portal to Rut'theran Village
Take the portal at the central dock to Stormwind
Scouring the City
The city of Stormwind can be broken up into 8 sections. Each section has its own unique set of personalities and landmarks that differentiates one side of town from another. The following is some brief information about each section as well as maps showing the approximate span and boundaries of each section.
Cathedral Square
Cathedral Square serves as a place for devout followers of the Light to worship and heal the wounded. The square is composed of a fountain dedicated to Uther the Lightbringer, an orphanage, and the Cathedral of Light as the section's centerpiece. While exploring this section of the city, adventurers and tourists may discover a gazebo where Stormwind citizens hold weddings.
Dwarven District
Adjacent to Cathedral Square is the Dwarven District. Here, some of Ironforge's finest dwarven craftsmen sell a variety of crafted gadgets and goods. For a small fee, they'll impart their crafting techniques upon those eager to learn.
Mage Quarter
From the mystical to the magical, the Mage Quarter is where the mages and warlocks of Stormwind reside. At the center of the quarter, a spiraling mage tower provides magical transportation services for travelers and adventurers of all experience levels. While you're here, adorn yourself in the finest cloth robes at Larson Clothiers and grab a pint at the Slaughtered Lamb (Just don't go in the basement unless you are well versed in dark magic).
Old Town
A favorite hangout for soldiers and assassins alike, Old Town serves as the military quarter of the Stormwind. Within this section of the city, various armor and weapon merchants sell supplies for soldiers and gladiators of the Alliance to prepare for combat. Additionally, Stormwind's military intelligence organization, SI:7, has its headquarters here.
Stormwind Harbor
Due to its proximity to the Great Sea, Stormwind has a large harbor that provides free transportation to a variety of locations around Azeroth. Aside from commercial travel, the Alliance navy launches many of its military campaigns from the harbor as well. Currently, Stormwind Harbor offers commercial travel to the following locations:
Darnassus
Valiance Keep, Borean Tundra, Northrend (Suggested Adventurer Level: 58)
Boralus, Kul'tiras (Requires level 110 and Completion of the Boralus Intro Questline)
Stormwind Keep
Crammed into the north eastern corner of the city along the Elwynn mountain range, Stormwind Keep is where

presides and rules over the citizens of Stormwind and the Alliance. Inside the keep, royal facilities including a library and war room are accessible to adventurers and brave soldiers of the Alliance. Over the course your adventurers, the king may even ask for your help.
Trade District
Just as the name sounds, the Trade District is where the majority of trade and commerce takes place. Here, adventurers have access to a bank, auction house, barber, inn, and supply stores. This section is of the city is a favorite among many Alliance citizens and tourists. Additionally, heroes looking to embark on an epic journey can read the "Hero's Call Board" to find a mission that matches their experience level.
Valley of Heroes
Upon entering the gates of Stormwind, one of the first things adventurers see as the proceed towards the heart of the city is a series of statues dedicated to valiant heroes of the Alliance. These brave heroes and soldiers of the Alliance are highly respected and revered because they helped shape the course of history and fought valiantly to protect the Alliance and its people.

Being a city with a rich history and culture, entertainment for all abounds. The following are some of the most notable attractions that Stormwind has to offer:
Bizmo's Brawlpub
Deep within the Deeprun Tram is a fight club where max level adventurers clash with beings from all over the universe to test their mettle. As you climb your way up the ranks you'll gradually gain access to exclusive items such as

Eastern Earthshrine
As adventurers become more experienced and progress in their travels, they will eventually be able to utilize the Eastern Eashrine. The shrine serves as a portal network and content hub for heroes journeying through Cataclysm content. The Eastern Earthshrine can be reached by going through the gate at the north end of the Dwarven District and following the dirt path up the hill.

Do you like to travel? Are you seeking the thrill of adventure? If you answered "yes" to either question, then head on over to a Hero's Call Board in the Dwarven or Trade District to find an expedition that matches your experience levels!

Portal Room
Traveling in Stormwind has never been easier! The mages have recently expanded the mage tower to include a massive network of portals that takes players all over Azeroth and beyond. As adventurers become more experienced and travel to more locations they will unlock access to all of the portals. Currently the portals available to adventurers are as followed:
Azsuna (Requires level 98 and completion of the Legion intro questline)
Boralus in Tiragarde Sound (Requires level 110 and completion of the BFA intro questlines)
Dalaran in Crystalsong Forest (Requires level 58)

Quartermasters
During your stay, you may notice that certain individuals may request your aid to further their cause. Should you feel inclined to aid the different Alliance races, you will be able to purchase unique rewards based on your reputation with the corresponding faction. In Stormwind, there are two emissaries that new adventurers have access to:

The Stockades
Housing prisoners of war and some of the most dangerous criminals in Elwynn Forest, the Stockades are located at the northern tip of the Mage Quarter. However, recent reports tell of an uprising within the prison walls and several of the city guards have become critically injured. Dare you venture into the stockades to quell the rebellion before havoc is unleashed upon Stormwind?

Auction Houses
Got more money than you know what to do with or want to make more money? Stormwind provides adventurers the unique opportunity to buy and sell goods with other adventurers. You can find Trader's Hall in the southwestern portion of the Trade District or you can find

The Gilded Rose
Cozy and comfortable, The Gilded Rose features a small dining area and two spacious bedrooms upstairs. Located in southwestern
section of the Trade District, this inn is a favorite for tourists and travelers looking for short term stay.

The Golden Keg
While visiting the Dwarven District, don't forget to grab a pint at The Golden Keg. What this inn lacks, it makes up for with a wide selection of beverages. This inn can be found directly next to the fountain in the Dwarven District.

Taking a stroll through Old Town? Stop on by and grab a bite to eat at the Pig and Whistle Tavern. This inn can be found on the eastern edge of Old Town in a cramped side street.

You don't need to be blue to enjoy the spirits and fine dining of The Blue Recluse. Located in the southern central section of the Mage Quarter, this inn is a common hangout for mages on study breaks.

Stormwind Visitor's Center
A common practice among adventurers traveling to Stormwind is creating a guild. Should an adventurer or brave hero wish to create a guild of their own, they should travel to the visitor's center at the entrance of the Trade District and speak with

An oddity located at the southwestern edge of Cathedral Square, the ethereals of The Three Winds offer their magical services for those who wish to change the look of their armor and/or gain extended storage for their unused armor.

One of the most enjoyable things to do while visiting Stormwind is arts and crafts. If you ever get lost on the way to a profession trainer, speak with a guard, select the "Profession" option, and select the profession that you're looking for.

An enigmatic and sinister establishment, The Slaughtered Lamb is located on the western fringe of the Mage Quarter. While this bar's casual interior appears innocent to the untrained eye, the basement harbors a dark secret. Explore at your own risk.

Directly next to the Alliance Embassy sits The Wollerton Stead. What makes this place unique is it the only farm within the city and supplies pumpkins that end up in many royal meals and Pilgrim's Bounty feasts.

Tiffin Wrynn Memorial

King Varian Wrynn

, Tiffin Wrynn was loved by many. Tiffin's life was accidently cut short during a riot when she was hit by a rock that a citizen intended to throw at the king. Today, citizens continue to pay their respects by visiting her grave at the far north end of Stormwind Cemetary (located just north of Cathedral Square). Uther Fountain
In the center of Cathedral Square is a fountain dedicated to
Uther the Lightbringer
. Uther is significant to the Alliance because he was one of the first paladins and Knights of the Silverhand as well as mentor to
Arthas Menethil

Don't know if you want to include Lil Timmy or not.
Thanks so much for these tourism guides. I'm enjoying reading them and learning about things I've passed by and never knew they were there.
I forget which two, but there are two inns that sell Confectioner's Sugar for the daily cooking quest Orphans Like Cookes too. I hate that quest.
