Shrine of the Storm is a max-level dungeon located in
斯托颂谷地
. It is available to Level 110 Alliance players on Normal difficulty and level 120 players on Heroic, Mythic, and Mythic+ difficulties.
This guide will outline strategies and important role-based responsibilities for each of the 4 bosses in Shrine of the Storm, as well as some tips on particularly threatening trash mobs.
When running this dungeon in Mythic+, additional affixes will be present on the enemies in the dungeon, affecting the way they behave.

Loot
Loot drops at ilvl 310 on Normal mode for level 120 players, ilvl 325 on Heroic and ilvl 340 on Mythic.
For Mythic+ Dungeons, loot does not drop per boss. At the end of the dungeon, a special chest will spawn that contains loot from the dungeon, for which the base ilvl increases based on the Mythic Keystone level. The loot is personal, so each player should loot it to see what their reward is. Two pieces of loot are guaranteed and the items will be appropriate to the player's class/spec.
In addition, all loot in Battle for Azeroth is on an ilvl spectrum. Most loot has a base ilvl and a progressively smaller chance to appear as a Warforged version, increasing in intervals of +5 ilvls. Learn more about loot in the

Dungeon loot can also be found at random on World Quests, including quests that send you into the dungeon, as well as quests to kill random elites.

For Mythic+ Dungeons, loot does not drop per boss. At the end of the dungeon, a special chest will spawn that contains epic items from the dungeon's loot table, for which the base ilvl increases based on the Mythic Keystone level. The loot is personal, so each player should loot it to see what their reward is. Two pieces of loot are guaranteed for the party, and the items will be appropriate to the player's class/spec.
In addition, if you successfully complete a Mythic+ dungeon within the time allotted, the Keystone that was used to start the attempt will become upgraded by at least 1 level. The faster you clear the content, the larger the upgrade, up to a maximum of 3 levels higher.
If the party upgrades the keystone by more than one level, they will also receive the corresponding number of loot chests.

Notable Trash Mobs
As the group travels towards the first boss, they will encounter 6 uniquely named trash mobs in multiple configurations.
A large amount of trash is optional in this area of the instance and can be avoided by simply moving along a single route and by the group exercising restraint when using area of effect abilities.

which can be interrupted, which reduces the damage taken by all other trash within 10 yards by 50%.
Avoid standing within the

If the cast does go off, you can use an Offensive Magic Purge to dispel it. Otherwise, focus the

to allow the group to do meaningful damage to the other trash.
This enemy will also cast
沉重打击
. This 3 second uninterruptible cast will send out short range shockwave aimed towards the tank, dealing damage and stunning any players caught by it.
The entire group should avoid this ability. The tank can move after the cast has begun as the
神殿骑士
will not change direction to face the tank whilst casting.
The
海潮涌动
cast should be interrupted, as it will increase the haste and damage done by the templar by 25% for 12 seconds. If the cast completes, the buff can be purged.
海贤新兵
s are non elite enemies that can be found in large packs. These enemies should generally be passively cleaved down as the group focuses on damaging more important enemies.
Do note that these enemies will attempt to run away in fear. If they run into other trash packs this will aggro them.
The group needs to quickly finish off the Initiates when they are on low health to prevent this from happening.
Move out of the
冲刷
zone!

s will spam cast
水之冲击
at the tank, dealing a moderate burst of nature damage. This cast can be, and should be, interrupted to reduce incoming tank damage.
These enemies will also cast
冲刷
. They will mark a location on the ground at the beginning of their cast. After the cast completes, all players within the zone will take a burst of damage and be knocked back.
This cast is also interruptible, however the group should refrain from interrupting this as the damage is easily avoided by simply moving out of the targeted area.
活化小水珠
s are neutral enemies that often surround other hostile trash packs. This will likely cause the party to engage the droplets passively as they fight more dangerous trash.
The droplets will simply melee hit the target with the highest threat. They should be quickly bursted down to reduce incoming tank damage.
海贤灵魂师
s have the

passive. This causes this mob to gain 25% cast speed for 12 seconds each time they are interrupted. This effect can stack.
The group should still interrupt the casts from the spiritualists, however they should purge the

buff the gain to allow the group to continue interrupting future casts.
The group will be very vulnerable duringthe
涨潮
debuff!
The
海贤灵魂师
has two interruptible casts.

will mark the location of a random player. A moment later an anchor will land at that location, dealing a burst of damage and rooting the player for 4 seconds.
This cast should be interrupted to reduce the overall movement requirement for the trash. If the group does not have a purge spell for the
身手矫健
stack, then the group should not interrupt this cast.
治疗湍流
is a 5 second cast which will heal all trash within 20 yards for 35% of their maximum health and apply an 8 second buff which heals the mob 5% max health every 2 seconds.
This cast should be interrupted as a high priority. If the cast goes through, the healing over time buff can be purged as it is a magical buff.

s are dangerous enemies that should be avoided as much as possible. They will cast
涨潮
, an uninterruptible ability which will stun and knock up all players within 60 yards.
As soon as the players are airborne, the

will cast

, slamming the bubbled players back to the ground whilst dealing high frost damage.
As neither the
涨潮
or subsequent
粉碎之水
are avoidable (aside from running 60 yards away), the group should not engage multiple trash packs whilst simultaneously fighting the

Abilities & Strategy
Run against the
逆流
push-back channel!
阿库希尔
is a two phase encounter in which the group needs to be cautious of the several knock back mechanics which could throw you off the edge of the platform to your death!
阿库希尔
cannot move around. If no player is engaging the boss in melee combat he will spam cast
海洋冲击
, dealing large group wide damage.
The tank should ensure that they are always within melee range of the boss to prevent this
海洋冲击
from casting.
The boss will face a direction and begin to cast
踏浪冲锋
. After a 4 second uninterruptible cast, the boss will charge in that direction, dealing damage and knocking back any player caught in his path.
Players need to quickly identify the direction
阿库希尔
is facing and move out of the way of this incoming charge.
The tank should quickly move towards the boss after the
踏浪冲锋
to ensure the
海洋冲击
is not triggered.
A random player will be targeted by the bosses
逆流
channel. Over 6 seconds, the player will take ticking damage and be pushed back away from the boss.
The afflicted player should run against the push back to ensure they are not pushed off the platform. The healer should spot heal this player to keep them healthy.

will apply
窒息海潮
to a random player. This debuff deals ticking damage to the player over 20 seconds.
If the debuff is dispelled, several bolts will fly out of the player and land nearby. Anyone hit will gain the
窒息海潮
debuff.
The healer should either out heal the debuff, or dispel it whilst the group dodges the swirlies that spew from the player.
Kill the
小型水元素
s as soon as possible!
Upon reaching 50% health,

will split into three smaller
小型水元素
adds. These adds all deal 40% less damage than
阿库希尔
.
The group should aim to remove these adds as soon as possible, preferably by focusing damage on a single add at a time as this will reduce the amount of abilities incoming.
As the adds will cast
海洋冲击
, the group should ensure that each add is within melee range of at least one player.
Although the adds do melee hit, the damage they deal is not very high due to the 40% damage reduction.
After all three

adds have died,

will emerge at 15% health and engage the party. The group can now quickly finish the boss off and move on with the rest of the instance.
On
Heroic
,

will spawn a Grasping Tentacles enemy on top of a player via the

mechanics.
These tenctacles will root the player for 20 seconds whilst also dealing damage to the player every 2 seconds.
The group should destroy these Grasping Tentacles as soon as possible to allow their ally to move around once again.

Notable Trash Mobs
After

is defeated, the group will head west towards the next encounter.
Along this path the group will encounter seven uniquely named trash mobs which include
海贤新兵
s &
神殿侍从
s that were encountered earlier in the instance.
The
风暴
tornadoes travel in a straight line!
唤风者学徒
s will cast
狂风切削
, dealing a moderate burst of damage to a random player.
Although this cast can be interrupted, the group should save its interrupts for the
风暴
Cast.
After a 2.5 sec interruptible cast, the Galecallers will send out a tornado in a straight line via its
风暴
cast.
These tornadoes deal high ticking damage to anyone caught in their path. Players should either interrupt the ability or dodge the tornadoes.
These enemies will also spawn
切割旋风
zones underneath a random target, prioritising ranged players.
These zones deal ever increasing ticking damage and slow the player by 30%. Players should quickly move from these zones as to reduce the heavy incoming damage.
风语者海蒂丝
is a mini-boss which will occasionally channel Gale Winds. This is uninterruptible and deals ticking damage to the group over 4 seconds.
The

The healer must be prepared to out heal this incoming damage by using cooldowns if necessary.
She will also spam cast

on the tank, dealing a small amount of nature damage. This cast should be interrupted as a low priority.
Heldis will also spawn a

underneath herself. This buffs both any trash enemy or any player who stands within it, increasing haste and movement speeds by 25%.
Targets inside the area are also immune to movement impairing effects. The tank should drag any trash out of the area whilst players stand within it to gain the haste buff.
铁舟学徒
s will cast
碎甲重击
on the tank, dealing a burst of physical damage and reducing the targets armor by 10% for 8 seconds. This effect stacks.
The tank may need to use large damage reduction cooldowns to survive if they receive a large number of these armor reducing stacks.
This mob will also cast
旋转猛击
, dealing damage to all players within 8 yards after a 3 second cast.
All players should move from this area to dodge the damage. The
铁舟学徒
will not move whilst casting, allowing the tank to also dodge this damage.
The
铁舟学徒
will also occasionally buff itself with

, increasing its damage done by 100% but reducing its movement speed by 50%.
The tank should kite during this time, especially on high mythic keystone levels. Be careful not to kite into other trash packs!
Stand within the

when targeted by

is another miniboss the group will encounter.
It will place a

underneath itself, reducing damage taken by 75% for both trash and players alike.
The tank should move any trash out of the zone. The tank can also position themselves in such a way as to stand within the rune whilst preventing trash from gaining the buff.
Players need to stand within this rune when they are targeted by Sorn's
割肉
, as it deals substantial damage over the 6 second uninterruptible channel.
The group will encounter a

on a bridge. This enemy has two powerful, yet uninterruptible casts.
电化震击
will deal a burst of damage and apply a 20 second nature damage dot on to a random target. This magic dot should be dispelled by the healer as soon as possible.
毁舰风暴
is an 8 second channel which deals ticking damage to the entire group. Contrary to the animation, this damage cannot be avoided and must be simply out-healed.
The group should stack next to the
元素卫士
to allow the healer to efficiently heal the group via area of effect spells.
After crossing the bridge, the group will be faced with a large area which is full of trash. The majority of this trash isn't mandatory and can be bypassed as the group travels towards the next encounter.
Tidesage Council Abilities & Strategy
Tidesage Council is a single phase encounter in which the group will fight two bosses simultaneously. The bosses do not share a health pool which allows the group to nuke down one boss to remove half of the mechanics.
Both bosses gain mana over time. Once they reach 100% mana they will place a ward on the ground, applying beneficial effects to both any bosses and any player who stands within it.

This area will decrease damage taken by 75% of all enemies and players within it, whilst also removing all negative effects when entered.

, even if she is dead.

will frequently cast

. This 2 sec interruptible cast deals a burst of nature damage and applies a debuff which increases nature damage taken by 20% for 30 seconds to all players.
This should be interrupted as frequently as possible. It is unlikely that the group will be able to cover each of the
切割冲击
casts.
The group should enter the

, left by

, to remove the nature damage taken debuff applied by the
切割冲击
.

will spawn a

on the ground once she reaches 100% mana.
This area will increase the haste and movement speed of any enemies and players who stand within it by 25%, whilst also granting immunity to movement impairing effects.
The group should attempt to stand within this area to gain a significant output increase. The tank should avoid positioning the bosses within this area as they will also gain these beneficial effects.
This large zone always spawns directly underneath
铁舟修士
, even if he is dead.
On
Normal difficulty
, we do not have a strong recommendation on which boss the group should kill first.
If the group lacks interrupts,
唤风者菲伊
should be killed first as the damage output by the
切割冲击
can become dangerous.
If the group can cover most
切割冲击
casts, the damage from
唤风者菲伊
is lower than the damage from
铁舟修士
and the
迅捷结界
s can help reduce fight length.
Interrupting while
唤风者菲伊
has

summons tornadoes!
On
Heroic difficulty
, both bosses will gain an additional ability.
铁舟修士
will occasionally gain the
铁墙祝福
buff, increasing his physical damage dealt by 100% but reducing his movement speed by 50%.
The tank should kite this boss around throughout the 8 second buff.
Make sure the tank doesn't kite this boss through an active
迅捷结界
, as the movement speed reduction will be void whilst the boss resides within the area.

will gain the

buff, causing all interrupts to trigger a

which spawns a tornado at a nearby location.
This tornado will rotate around the encounter area, dealing damage and knocking back all players who come into contact with it.
The group should avoid interrupting
唤风者菲伊
during the 10 second buff as the tornadoes can cause significant damage to the group if they are spawned in great numbers.
On
Heroic difficulty
and higher, we recommend that you kill
唤风者菲伊
first as her
迅捷结界
makes the
铁墙祝福
buff more dangerous and the
反冲气流
tornadoes are a pain.

Notable Trash Mobs
Move away from allies whenafflicted with

After defeating the Tidesage Council, the group should head south towards the next encounter. Along this route the group will engage seven uniquely named trash mobs in multiple configurations.
深海祭师
s are arguably the most dangerous trash enemies in the dungeon, mainly due to their
无尽黑暗
cast.
This 3 second interruptible cast will deal a burst of shadow damage to all players and apply a 20 second debuff which increases shadow damage taken by 10-25% per stack (depending on difficulty).
This ability is cast very frequently and it's damage can quickly get out of control. All interrupts must be saved for this ability and the group should carefully chain their them to prevent any casts from going through.
The group will not have enough interrupts to cover two
深海祭师
s at once so the group should limited themselves to fighting one at any given time.
This mob will also apply
虚空种子
to all players via an uninterruptible cast. This is a 6 second debuff which will explode upon expiration, dealing shadow damage to the player and anyone within 6 yards.
Each player must spread at least 6 yards apart from one another before the debuff times out to keep incoming group damage to a minimum.
Avoid standing within the

zones!

. These zones will erupt moments later, dealing a burst of damage to all players within them.
The group must move from these zones to ensure they do not take the heavy burst of damage.

This should be purged if possible as shield comprises a large portion of the sailors overall health pool.

will deal a moderate burst of shadow damage to the tank. This should be interrupted as a low priority.

will deal a burst of damage and reduce the targets health by 10% for 8 seconds. This should be interrupted as a medium priority.

will apply a magic 12 second magic debuff which deals ticking damage over time whilst drowing them. This should be interrupted or purged whenever possible.

This cast should be interrupted when possible or the buff it applies should be purged.

is another interruptible cast which applies a spell damage absorption buff on the cultist and causes any spell damage to instead heal the cultist. Interrupt this cast or purge the buff.

will be cast at the tanks location. After the cast completes, a cone of void will deal damage and stun all players it touches for 5 seconds.
The group should make sure they do not stand in front of the cultist when the cast goes off. The tank can side step out of the ability as the

s will not change direction once the cast has begun.

Aside from melee hitting (which doesn't currently have an animation), the tentacles will deal a burst of damage to the entire group with their

This cast is uninterruptible and the damage cannot be avoided.
Upon entering the Storm's End chapel, the group can find two sets of pews that are full of

s. The group only needs to clear one side of tentacles to pass through this area.

Kite the Awoken Orbs around the area as a group!

is a single phase encounter in which the group must kite

orbs around to be used at a later point to destroy an add.

will frequently cast

. This 2 sec interruptible cast deals a heavy burst of shadow damage to the tank.
The group should interrupt this cast as frequently as possible to reduce incoming tank damage.
An

orb will spawn next to each player when
唤醒虚空
is cast. These orbs will each fixate a random player and slowly chase them.
The orb will explode upon touching any player, dealing a large burst of shadow damage and stunning the player for 5 seconds.
This stun is a magical debuff and can be dispelled.
The group should kite these orbs whilst moving as a group. This will keep the orbs clumped up and make it easier to be soaked when

is cast.
Soak the

will summon an

on to a random non-tank player, usually the healer. This player will now be able to be attacked by other players.
The
上古摧心者
will sit on the player for 20 seconds whilst casting

. After 20 seconds the player will become mind controlled until they die.
The group can remove the
上古摧心者
by damaging the afflicted player down to 50% health.
To help damage the
上古摧心者
, the afflicted player should soak all
觉醒虚空
orbs as this will damage the add.
This will not cause the afflicted player to be stunned, allowing them to soak all five orbs in quick succession.
The damage from all five orbs should be enough to bring the player down to 50% by itself, allowing the rest of the group to focus their damage into the boss.
On
Heroic difficulty
, the boss will apply

magic debuffs on players at random. This debuff deals an initial burst of damage followed by lower ticking damage over 10 seconds.
This debuff should be dispelled as soon as possible, as it also reduces the players movement speed by 50% which makes kiting the
觉醒虚空
orbs more difficult.

Notable Trash Mobs
After defeating
斯托颂勋爵
, the group should enter the water to the southeast and swim towards the last boss.
Watch out for Jellyfish!
Whilst swimming, players must avoid swimming into electrified jellyfish, as they will deal a burst of damage to the player and stun them for 8 seconds.
As the group emerges into the last encounter chamber, they will encounter 3 uniquely named trash mobs.
深渊鳗鱼
s will hit a player, generally the tank, with
深渊打击
. This deals a burst of shadow damage and applies a 6 second shadow damage dot.
This cast cannot be interrupted and the debuff cannot be dispelled. The healer must simply out-heal the damage whilst the DPS kill the eels before the stack gets too high.
On land, the group will fight two

, dealing damage to the entire group and restoring health to the add.
The group should focus on killing and interrupting one

at a time, as focusing on both may lead to a

cast going through, healing the add back to full hp.
The group will also encounter a single

add. This add has the

passive which makes it's melee attacks powerful but movement speed low.
The tank can kite the add if they get low health, giving the healer an opportunity to top them up.

Abilities & Strategy
Move the boss out of the

zones!
低语者沃尔兹斯
is a single phase encounter in which the group needs to defeat the boss before the platform is filled with purple silencing zones!
Vol'zith will periodically spawn a large purple zone underneath himself when
巨口之门
is cast.
This zone deals ticking damage and silences players who stand within it. The zones are permanent.
The tank should position the boss at the edge of the encounter area to place
巨口之门
into ideal locations.
The boss should be quickly moved out of the zones to allow melee DPS to continue to damage the boss.
Tentacles will appear at random locations in the encounter space and cast
触须猛击
towards the location of a nearby player.
If the player is hit by the slam, they will take a heavy burst of shadow damage.
All players must constantly be on the lookout for these tentacles so that they can avoid the
触须猛击
.
Dodge the
触须猛击
!
The boss will apply the
力量的低语
magic debuff to the healer at various points throughout the fight.
This debuff increases the targets damage and healing done by 20% but causes their maximum health to decrease by 10%. This effect stacks over time.
The debuff should be left on the player as long as is safe, as the output increase is very valuable.
The healer should dispel this magic buff before the player takes damage to allow the player to be brought back to safe levels of health.
This stack caps at 9 stacks, increasing output by 180% but reducing the target's maximum health to 10%.
Once Vol'zith reaches 100% energy, he will cast
沉没之城的掌控

After 4 seconds, players will be put into one of two different phases depending on their role, with the DPS going into one phase and the tank and healer going into another.
Each team of players must defeat adds within their phase to return to the phase which contains the boss.
If a team defeats their adds before the other team, they will be placed within the other teams phase to help out.
Players will slowly loose breath whilst under the effects of

. This places a time restriction on the group as you must leave before you all drown!

The DPS phase will contain two

The two adds are spaced far apart and require two 14 second cooldown interrupts each to be locked out of casting.
If the groups damage is high, two DPS should focus on nuking down one add whilst another DPS interrupts the other. The two DPS can then kill and interrupt the remaining add after their add has died.
If the DPS is not high enough to do this strategy, all three DPS should nuke down and interrupt one add before then switching to the other.
The damage from the cast will hit players within both realms. If a cast is going to go through, the player afflicted with

should be dispelled before the group enters the

The tank and healer will have to deal with a single

add. This add has the

passive which makes it's melee attacks powerful but movement speed low.
The tank and healer should output as much damage on to this add as possible.
The tank can kite the add if they get low health, giving the healer an opportunity to top them up.
Once both sets of adds have been defeated across the two phases, the group will return to the bosses phase.
They need to interrupt his cast, which is applying a large damage absorption shield, and the fight will return to normal.
On

, the boss will cast

adds from the water.
These adds will slowly move towards the boss, and upon contacting him they will explode. This deals damage to the entire group whilst giving the boss some energy.
The group should focus on killing these adds as soon as possible. They can be crowd controlled in all ways.
The tank may need to move the boss away from these adds to ensure they don't reach him too quickly.

Is the last Boss fight different from Guide on Live?
We wiped about 20times here, while doing all other Mythics pretty easy.
We noticed e.g that the Adds will still explode and doing a lot Grp dmg so u need to kill them 1 by 1. Guide says they only explode on contact with boss. so killing fast as possible as the guide says doesnt work.
Also we got a try where NOT the Healer got the debuff with dmg increase but a dps Shadow Priest.
Also we noticed that the Essence Cast wasnt dmging the players on the other realm (tank and heal).

This boss is a HUGE pain! But there are a few things that can definitely make it easier!
For starters
Healer should be ready to do DPS to the add in the first sunken phase, the add will go down quickly (tank should still maintain threat on the add) as long as the healer has the debuff (+DMG, +HEAL) - Healer should be very careful not to get hit by the slam from the tentacles.
DPS - Make sure everyone knows that the tentacles flash 3x where they are going to land - there is no reason that the DPS should be getting hit by the tentacles.
Tank: Kite the boss away from the adds when they first spawn - they will despawn when you go into the sunken phase I believe (I may be wrong) but honestly it was way easier for us to do it this way because then we were able to actually DPS the boss instead of trying to focus on adds the whole time.
Mitigate your DMG and give the healer a break - don't run into things!

This 5-man miniraid is the hardest dungeon on current patch 8.0. Its really hard to find groups even for M+2, most +4, +6 keys are considered wasted since there's no one wanting to do them. Only high-end hardcore players are attempting this dungeon to change the key to something more manageable as most of the key-runs ends in breaking it.

Lord Stormsong put me to sleep and I needed to complete the quest The Missing Ritual, I did not think it would work but I cleared to him and then ran past without aggroing and swam to Vol'zith.
Killed Vol'zith, hearthed out to talk to Brother Pike.
