Mythic Sire Denathrius Changes
This encounter has significant changes from its Heroic counterpart in each of the phases.
In Phase 1,

will cause players to splash damage in a 1 yard radius when struck by

. This means that if two players are standing on top of each other when struck by
净化痛苦
, they will each lose 2 stacks of

, and spawn a total of 4 Echo of Sins.
In Phase 2,

summons his four Lieutenants who need to be defeated. They will spawn on the platforms, where
Crimson Cabalists
normally appear on Heroic difficulty. Each of the Lieutenants has different abilities.
One themed ability they all share is Nathrian Hymn, where each of the Lieutenants does shadow damage to enemies within 50 yards, and apply a debuff that will cause players to take increased damage from that specific Lieutenant.

will periodically cast

, which shoots out a burst of missiles in all directions. If a missle strikes a player, they will take shadow damage and be silenced for 6 seconds.
恒影勋爵
will spawn a
恶毒暗影
when reaching 66% and 33%, which will cast

. After
复仇哀嚎
is either cast, or interrupted 5 times, the
恶毒暗影
will disappear. Dealing with this mechanic will require your raid to set up two kick rotations of 5 people each for the two adds that spawn. You should make use of Hunters, and Shamans to help with this, since there aren’t enough melee to cover all 10 kicks.
Countess Gloomveil
has the
晦暗纱幕
buff, which causes her to be unable to be targeted by players who are not near her.
暮虚男爵
has the
空虚之握
ability, which will grip any player further than 25 yards away when they deal direct damage to him.
When Phase 3 begins, players will be able to walk through any mirror to cross into the other realm. This is a crucial mechanic, because Sire Denathrous replaces his
毁灭之手
mechanic from Heroic with
血债
for the last phase of Mythic.
血债
will deal damage to each player based on how many players there are in each realm.
The realm mechanic also separates how your raid will interact with the Smoldering Ire aka “Seed” mechanic. When a player from the normal realm gets the
致命灵巧
debuff, and drops a seed, only players from the opposite realm will be able to stand in it to soak it so it doesn’t explode.
Lastly, the realm mechanic comes with a hidden interaction called Neutralize. If a player from the normal realm collides with a player from the mirror realm, they will both die instantly. This causes your normal realm and mirror realm players to move around each other constantly without ever colliding.
Mythic Sire Denathrius Assignments
This is a quick list of all strategic assignments that need to be done before the encounter starts.
Phase 1 Assignments
Each player should be assigned to drop debuffs on a specific
净化痛苦
. Because of the
集体创伤
debuff, certain players can drop 2 stacks of
罪孽烦扰
at a time by standing on another player.
In the first set, we assign 6 players to drop double stacks by pairing up, and 4 players to drop single stacks. For each subsequent Cleaning Pain, only 2 players will drop double stacks, while everyone else should drop single stacks.
Our tanks are always assigned to drop doubles, and our Balance Druid will also drop doubles until they reach 0 stacks.
After the first Cleaning Pain, about 7 - 10 stacks can be assigned to each set, with the goal that most players will finish this phase at 3 stacks of
罪孽烦扰
. Death Knights and Shamans never need to drop stacks, and can remain at 6 the entire time.
Phase 2 Assignments
A total of 10 interrupts need to be assigned for
恶毒暗影
s. Each
恶毒暗影
will require 5 interrupts, and we suggest assigning your
德纳修斯大帝
tank to the first interrupt on the first
恶毒暗影
, since they will have to leave the platform.
Melee DPS on the platform can handle subsequent interrupts, as well as Shaman healers (or DPS), and Hunters who are still on the main platform, but in range of the adds.
For the Lieutenant part of Phase 2 your DPS should be split into two camps, marked as the Melee and Ranged camps. We use 7 players in each camp, and assign Hunters to act as melee if there are not enough melee DPS.
Phase 3 Assignments
Decide which player goes towhich realm. We suggest having all your melee DPS, the two tanks, and two healers (preferably Holy Paladins) go to the mirror realm. If your raid does not have a Shaman in the mirror realm, a Mage can be assigned there as well to use Time Warp at the appropriate moment.
With our strategy, we had 9 players in the mirror realm and 11 in the normal one, but a 10-10 split is viable as well.
Mythic Sire Denathrius Phase 1
Phase 1 of this encounter is by far the easiest. Deaths usually only occur if more than two players stand on each other for
净化痛苦
.
The raid will have to deal with two sets of
净化痛苦
between each
毁灭
cast. We recommend following the movement outlined in the diagram below.
General movement during Phase 1.
午夜猎手
s are very simple to deal with on Mythic. Each set will consist of 3 lines, and we recommend each targeted player to simple run their line so it goes directly through the boss, and the player is near the wall.
The whole raid should try to soak while making sure to only stand on one line at a time.
The goal is to push the boss to 70.5% right after the third
命令:毁灭
is cast by
德纳修斯大帝
.
Your Druid DPS should cast
狂奔怒吼
after the boss grips everyone to the center so that all players with 3 stacks can make it back to the center. If your raid does not have a Druid, everyone who is not a Night Fae will have to drop to 2 stacks of

before the phase transition.
Mythic Sire Denathrius Phase 2
The Four Horsemen
During this first part of the encounter, your raid will need to deal with the Four Lieutenants of
德纳修斯大帝
.
After landing on the platform, the ranged players should start attacking
罪灼女勋爵
, while the melee should have a Warlock place a Demonic Gateway to the platform with
恒影勋爵
.
The fastest way to orient yourself after landing is to look at where Sire Denatrhius is. The ranged add will always be on the left, while looking at the boss, and the melee one will be on the right side.
Phase 2 split for Lady Sinsear and Lord Evershade.
罪灼女勋爵
and
恒影勋爵
must die before
德纳修斯大帝
casts the first
毁灭之手
of this phase.
After the raid is gripped by the
毁灭之手
, everyone should walk through the closest mirror, and wait for
蕾茉妮雅
to cast
毁灭
. Players marked by
毁灭
must deal with the mechanic, while the melee group can damage
暮虚男爵
with any ability to cause him to grip you to his platform.
The ranged group should double back through the mirror they just stepped through, and a Warlock should place a Demonic Gateway towards
Countess Gloomveil
’s platform.
Phase 2 split for Countess Gloomveil and Baron Duskhollow.
暮虚男爵
and Counter Gloomveil must die before
毁灭之手
is cast.
After the raid is gripped by
毁灭之手
, the whole raid should cross through the closest mirror, and the
赤红秘法师
part of this encounter will begin.
Crimson Cabalists
Crimson Cabalist sets, and how much focus each set should get from the dps.
The first two
Crimson Cabalists
can be killed fairly slowly, as there is a lot of time before
毁灭之手
is cast.
The second set of
Crimson Cabalists
must die very quickly, because the raid will need to run to the third set and kill that one as well before another
毁灭之手
is cast.
The fourth and final set can once again be killed slowly, as there is a lot of time before another
毁灭之手
is cast.
The aim of this phase is to get the boss as close to 40% as possible before
德纳修斯大帝
begins the last phase. If your raid has really good damage, be careful not to push the boss to his last phase before the fifth
毁灭之手
is cast. When the boss enters the last phase, the melee group need to run through the nearest mirror, while the ranged group can run directly towards the boss.
Mythic Sire Denathrius Phase 3
Phase 3 requires strictly coordinated movements. The normal realm and mirror realm must avoid any crossovers, or players will die.
Players in the mirror realm will experience a different type of knockback from
粉碎痛苦
and
血债
than players in the normal realm. In the mirror realm, players will always be knocked in the direction of the boss, which will usually feel like being pulled through the boss. This is important to keep in mind when positioning for
粉碎痛苦
and
血债
.
When dropping seeds, all players should rotate to their right when facing players from the opposite realm to place the seed close for the opposite realm to soak. After seeds are dropped, players will rotate to their left to soak them.
Each set of
致命灵巧
will have 3 seeds that are dropped, which can be split either 2-1 in the mirror realm, or 2-1 in the normal realm.
First two seed sets of Phase 3, which are generally considered the simplest to deal with.
The only seeds that break the “rotate right” rule are the sets which happen during
毁灭
casts.
Each set of seeds is outlined in the diagrams below. Besides the seeds that happen during
毁灭
, these points are assigned fairly loosely, and should only be followed as an idea of the area they should be placed in, rather than a concrete spot.
Seed sets 3 & 4. The third set happens during a
毁灭
/
屠灭
cast,
and the fourth must be soaked extremely quickly before
粉碎痛苦
is cast.
Seed set 5 happens during the second
毁灭
/
屠灭
combo,
and all immunities should be used to live this part of the encounter.
Mythic Sire Denathrius Tips and Tricks
DPS
Since Phase 1 is considered a very easy damage check, 2 minute DPS cooldowns can be split between the first and second set of
净化痛苦
. On our first kill, everyone in the raid used cooldowns on pull, while hunters held theirs for the second
净化痛苦
.
This split will allow Boomkins with 3 minute cooldowns, and Hunters with 2 minute cooldowns to use them on
罪灼女勋爵
and
恒影勋爵
, while all other classes can use them on
暮虚男爵
and
Countess Gloomveil
.
Keep in mind that this is just a rough split of cooldowns, and only serves as a starting point from where timings can be moved around to suit your raid and composition.
The hard damage checks in Phase 2 happen at ~3:10, and ~4:00, so cooldowns can be planned around these timings.
During the
赤红秘法师
sets keep in mind that Set 1 and Set 4 can be pretty much passively cleaved while focusing on boss damage. However, Set 2 and 3 must be killed extremely quickly, and will require all DPS to target them.
There are several class mechanics or soulbind traits such as Wild Hunt Tactics that provide a damage buff when attacking targets at high health percent. During all of Phase 2, if your class has such mechanics,
蕾茉妮雅
will be above this threshold, making her the primary target you should be attacking when focusing on boss damage.
In Phase 3, players in the normal realm can use Bloodlust after the first
血债
, while players in the mirror realm should wait to use it until after the second
血债
.
Healer
Phase 1 has very clear cooldowns that must be assigned to each
净化痛苦
and
血债
.
We recommend covering each
净化痛苦
with one off-spec cooldown, such as Anti-Magic Zone or Commanding Shout and one healing cooldown.
血债
damage should steadily decrease throughout the first phase with the first one dealing the most damage, and the third one the least, but each of them should be covered by a healing cooldown such as Aura Mastery or Spirit Shell.
During Phase 2, cooldowns will be somewhat reactive, as you will need throughput cooldowns while standing near Lieutenants because of their stacking debuff.
When
蕾茉妮雅
casts
穿刺
, you should also cover it with a damage reduction cooldown. Players without personal defensives are at very high risk of dying to this ability.
Throughput cooldowns can be used on
Crimson Cabalists
as well, especially on the second and third set, where the raid will be moving a large distance and taking high damage.
If your Discipline Priest is in the normal realm, they can rotate Spirit Shell for every
血债
, while the mirror realm will have to rotate other Damage Reduction cooldowns or Commanding Shout for each
血债
.
Throughput cooldowns can be rotated for every set of seeds, most notably after the second
毁灭
where mechanics tend to overlap, causing more raid damage.
While cooldown assignments seem fairly strict, the most important part is setting up clear cooldowns for the first phase, after which they tend to fall in line when used on CD for important mechanics.
Tank
In Phase 1, tanking is very straightforward: taunt swap after each
净化痛苦
and position the boss for players to drop stacks.
Phase 2 tanking becomes a bit more difficult, as there is a very high mobility requirement for moving
德纳修斯大帝
around for hitting targets with
毁灭痛苦
.
At the beginning of the phase, the
蕾茉妮雅
tank should pick up
德纳修斯大帝
and move him to the melee platform and aim the first
毁灭痛苦
at
恒影勋爵
. After this
毁灭痛苦
, the second tank, ideally a Demon Hunter, should take the boss over to the main platform.
The second
毁灭痛苦
should be aimed at
Countess Gloomveil
, which will require positioning the boss on the edge of the main platform for the frontal to reach. Keep
德纳修斯大帝
as close to the mirror as possible so the
毁灭之手
grips players in a good location.
The
蕾茉妮雅
tank can taunt
德纳修斯大帝
at this point, and take him to the
暮虚男爵
platform by tagging him with any ability, and apply the third
毁灭痛苦
to him.
The main tank can taunt back, and take
德纳修斯大帝
to the platform located between
暮虚男爵
and
Countess Gloomveil
so the
毁灭之手
can grip the whole raid off their platforms.
From here onward, tanks can just taunt swap after each
毁灭痛苦
, while making sure that
Crimson Cabalists
are always tagged with the debuff, if they are alive.
Keep in mind that after
毁灭痛苦
7, the boss must be moved to the third set of
Crimson Cabalists
before the raid gets there to ensure that
毁灭痛苦
8 will tag them after they spawn.
In Phase 3, taunt swaps should happen around 5 stacks of Scorn, which for the first part of the phase lines up with each
粉碎痛苦
cast, however deeper in the phase taunt swaps will need to be timed around some other mechanics as well.
This phase consists of very high amounts of damage tanken, while only being healable by two healers. This means that cooldowns should be planned out meticulously for this entire phase to ensure tanks can survive.
While the movement is very scripted in this last phase as well, it is difficult to explain with very limited reference points for tanks to orient themselves.
Position the boss near the seed that melee must soak to ensure they can attack while soaking.
For both
毁灭
casts, the boss must be positioned in the area the
毁灭
is being baited into.
