Jaina and Arthas together, as
pictured in Chronicle 3.
Jaina Proudmoore was born three years before the First War, the youngest child of Katherine and then Lord Admiral Daelin Proudmoore, ruler of Kul Tiras and friend to the Alliance of Lordaeron and Stormwind. Since her childhood, Jaina was attracted to the tales of Magna Aegwynn.
Jaina discovered her magical talent after the second war and was sent to Dalaran to study into the arts of magic. Once in Dalaran, she begged to Archmage Antonidas to become his apprentice. This led Jaina to eventually become one of the only female sorceresses in direct service of Dalaran. Thanks to this apprenticeship and the legacy she felt she had to live to, she had a hard time focusing on studying.
During Jaina's time as an apprentice, thanks to her noble heritage, she ended up meeting Arthas Menethil, heir to the throne of Lordaeron. Over the years, they grew close as friends and eventually became romantically involved. The high elf loyalty Kael'thas Sunstrider also had feelings for Jaina, but those were not returned.
Arthas and Jaina did get engaged once, but the wedding never happened due to doubts to whether both of them were ready to become betrothed or not. They managed to rekindle their relationship sometime after this fact, swearing to take it a bit slower. However, this happened right as the Scourge Invasion was starting in Lordaeron, an event that would forever separate them.
Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos
The Scourge Investigation
Antonidas, eager to learn more about the plague that started devastating Lordaeron, ended up meeting with Medivh, then disguised as the Prophet, who urged Antonidas to take his magi away to Kalimdor. Jaina, who was watching the meeting from a distance, figured the Prophet had some truth to his words, and Antonidas sent Jaina in his stead to meet Arthas and investigate the plague in Brill, by Tirisfal Glades.
During the investigation in Brill, Jaina and Arthas found several points of focus to the plague, including a granary which contained grain infested with the plague, and a former member of the Kirin Tor, Kel'Thuzad, now a necromancer. Both Jaina and Arthas fought Kel'Thuzad's undead forces, and Arthas eventually murdered the magi.
After this, Jaina and Arthas made their way to Hearthglen, in central Lordaeron, where they found out the infested grain had arrived there and distributed among the townsfolk. People who ate the grain suffered a horrible death and were turned into zombies. Jaina hastily teleported away to Dalaran to try to contact Uther and the Order of the Silver Hand, while Arthas stayed in Hearthglen. When Jaina finally returned with the Silver Hand, Hearthglen was destroyed, and Arthas was alone fighting a losing battle. Thanks to Uther's help, they managed to push back the undeath forces, but this left Arthas horrified and morally devastated.
The Culling of Stratholme
Arthas rushed to Stratholme. Jaina and Uther followed him close behind, but the trio did not get there in time to stop the town from also eating the infested grain. They all knew these people would surely turn into undeath, like what happened in Hearthglen. Arthas was in favor of slaughtering the town to prevent their transformation into Scourge, but Uther did not condone murdering innocent people whose only crime was eating infested grain. When Uther refused to help Arthas kill the civilians, Arthas accused him of treason and renounced him as a Paladin of the Silver Hand. To Arthas' surprise, Jaina decided to follow Uther and not help with the mass slaughtering.
After the mass slaughter, Jaina and Uther returned to Stratholme, horrified at the results. Jaina met again with the Prophet, who sensed her leadership abilities and, again, urged to take as many people as she could west, to the continent of Kalimdor. After Arthas and the Scourge began their invasion in Dalaran, both Jaina and Antonidas, who previously thought the Prophet was a madman, realized he was right after all. Antonidas, right then, encouraged Jaina to take as many survivors as she could, as she made preparations to sail for Kalimdor.
After the fall of Quel'thalas, before leaving for Kalimdor, Jaina met with Kael'thas Sunstrider, a former love interest. She tried to console the elf, after he had lost his father to the Scourge Invasion. However, Kael'thas refused her condolences, saying she was at fault for favoring such a monster over him. After this, Arthas and his army arrived at Dalaran, but Antonidas instead told Jaina to flee with the survivors. Antonidas was murdered by Arthas during the invasion of Dalaran.
Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne
The Alliance with Thrall
Upon arriving in Kalimdor, Jaina noticed the presence of Orcs, and though her expedition was followed all the way from Lordaeron. After clashing with the forces of Grom Hellscream, Jaina sensed a great power within Stonetalon Mountain, and led an expedition there to find a way to hopefully defeat the Orcs.
Once arriving at the core of the mountain, she stumbled upon Thrall and Cairne Bloodhoof. As the three were about to battle, they were once again confronted by the Prophet, who implored them to ally themselves to survive against the might of the Burning Legion. Jaina reluctantly followed the Prophet's request and allied her forces with Thrall's, against Hellscream and an army of chaos orcs. Jaina gave Thrall a Soul Gem, which was used to capture Grom's essence at the beginning of the invasion of Kalimdor. Jaina then helped Thrall purge Grom Hellscream of his demonic curse.
Although their forces were not happy about it, Jaina and Thrall continued on with their Alliance, even after Hellscream's death. Their forces were terrorized by both undead and night elf attacks alike, and this alliance kept them alive, although it was a very thinly veiled one.
The Battle for Mount Hyjal
After receiving a vision, Thrall and Jaina moved on to meet the leaders of the Night Elves, Malfurion Stormrage and Tyrande Whisperwind, in Hyjal. The Prophet then appeared once more, finally revealing himself to be Medivh, the last Guardian, who had returned to correct the mistakes of old. He implored that the humans, orcs and night elves ally, or else they would all fall alone. They all decided to defend Mount Hyjal together.
Jaina scouted the area with her teleportation spells, and found out that Archimonde, a commander of the Burning Legion, was quickly making his way up towards the top of Mount Hyjal. The group created three bases to half Archimonde's efforts through the mountain, and Jaina's base was the first one to go. Jaina managed to escape death by Archimonde's hands by teleported away, and then Thrall's base was destroyed, she too managed to teleport Thrall away to live another day. Eventually, Archimonde was defeated at the top of the Mount Hyjal, thanks to an offensive by the wisps summoned by the Night Elves.
The Founding of Theramore
Following Archimonde's defeat in Mount Hyjal, Jaina went with her refugees to the eastern coast of Kalimdor, where she claimed an island outpost and created a city, named Theramore.
Theramore, the city founded by Jaina and the Kalimdor refugees.
Jaina was approached by Rexxar about humans encroaching onto Durotar and assassination attempts on him, although Jaina had no knowledge of such deeds. When Jaina helped Rexxar and the Mok'Nathal investigate, they found out the outpost was being attacked by the Naga. After finding a dying marine, Jaina realized with horror that her father was paying her city a visit. Jaina implored Daelin to stop the assault on the Orcs, but the Lord Admiral would hear none of it. Rexxar managed to escape, and planned an assault on Theramore together with Thrall.
The Death of Daelin Proudmoore
Jaina was very conflicted. Although she understood she had loyalty with her father and the nation of Kul Tiras, she realized that, thanks to things like the Scourge and the Burning Legion, such vendettas were useless in the long run. Jaina ended up helping the Horde obtain ships from the goblins and ordered her troops to stand down when the Orcs invaded Theramore.
Rexxar ended up landing the final blow on Daelin Proudmoore. Jaina's last words to her father were her pleading why he wouldn't listen to her. When Kul Tiras learned of Daelin's death, they cried out to the Alliance for vengeance, but the other Alliance nations weren't really interested, since bigger concerns like the plague spreading around Lordaeron were more important. This led Kul Tiras to isolate themselves from the Alliance, and the faction as a whole to bitterly resent Jaina for allowing his father's death to happen.
The Kul Tiran sea shanty, "
Daughter of the Sea
", refers to Jaina's betrayal of Kul Tiras when allowing her father to die. The original version of the shanty is seen in-game during the quest
希巴拉
, as a Boralus Sailor sings it while ferrying the player to the outpost of Xibala in Zuldazar.
Boralus Sailor says: "Beware, beware the Daughter of the Seas."
Boralus Sailor says: "Beware," I heard him cry.
Boralus Sailor says: His words carried upon the ocean breeze,
Boralus Sailor says: As he sank beneath the tide.
Boralus Sailor says: Those blood-soaked shores of Kalimdor,
Boralus Sailor says: Where sailors fought and died.
Boralus Sailor says: The admiral fell at Theramore,
Boralus Sailor says: because she left his side.
Boralus Sailor says: Why this? Why this oh Daughter of the Seas?
Boralus Sailor says: Why this? Did you forget your seaside days?
Boralus Sailor says: Always the pride of our nation's eyes,
Boralus Sailor says: How could she go astray?
Boralus Sailor says: When she did flee across the ocean deep,
Boralus Sailor says: the admiral followed west.
Boralus Sailor says: What else but sail to save a daughter's life,
Boralus Sailor says: and pray she still drew breath?
Boralus Sailor says: But there he found on the Western shores,
Boralus Sailor says: Enemies 'pon the rise!
Boralus Sailor says: But when he faced those savage foes
Boralus Sailor says: His daughter stood aside.
Boralus Sailor says: Buried deep beneath the waves,
Boralus Sailor says: Betrayed by family.
Boralus Sailor says: To his nation, with his last breath, cried,
Boralus Sailor says: "Beware the Daughter of the Seas."
Jaina continued to rule Theramore, hoping that someday she would be able to reunite the distant kingdoms once more.
World of Warcraft: Classic
Jaina Proudmoore is found in Classic WoW as the ruler of Theramore, in Dustwallow Marsh. She managed to forge an alliance with the Kingdom of Stormwind, and would insist on a summit between King Varian and Thrall. Varian was finally convinced by his son, the prince Anduin Wrynn, to go on a journey to Kalimdor to attend this summit, but mysteriously vanished along the journey.

Wrath of the Lich King
Wrathgate and the Battle for Undercity
After the events of the Wrathgate that led to the death of Highlord Bolvar Fordragon (
), Varian Wrynn prepared for an all-out war against the Horde.
Jaina, desperate to stop a possible Fourth War, went to Orgrimmar and learned from Thrall and Sylvanas Windrunner that an uprising broke within the Undercity, and Varimathras, former servant of Sylvanas, took control of the Horde town. The renegade dreadlord forged an Alliance with Grand Apothecary Putress and used the Plague to take control of the city.
Thrall assured Sylvanas that he had no interest in war against the Alliance, and the Horde would take care of the traitor. Jaina told Thrall that she will explain things to Varian, but this would likely not stop the King, as Bolvar was like a brother to him. Jaina's assessment proved correct as Thrall and Varian's forces did end up clashing in Undercity, after both Varimathras and Putress were dispatched by the Horde and the Alliance (
).
Refusing to have a new war, Jaina literally stopped the Alliance army cold by freezing them and teleporting everyone away to Stormwind.
The Secrets of Ulduar
When Brann Bronzebeard discovered that
尤格-萨隆
managed to break free from his ancient prison in
奥杜尔
, both Jaina and Rhonin decided to call a conference with both Alliance and Horde leaders to organize an expedition to Ulduar.
As Rhonin explains the situation to Varian, Jaina noticed the Horde leaders arriving before the scheduled time, and she attempts to stop them from entering the Violet Citadel in Dalaran. Garrosh ignored her warnings, and she could not stop a confrontation between Garrosh and Varian. This caused Varian to leave, refusing to work with the Horde after the events of the Wrathgate.
The Frozen Halls

Uther told Jaina that Arthas still existed within The Lich King, as a very small portion of light, but one that managed to stay the Lich King's wrath. Uther also told a terrible realization - That there must always be a Lich King, and even if he is defeat, someone else needs to take on the mantle to control the wrath of the Scourge.
While still communing with Frostmourne, The Lich King shows up, and sucks Uther's soul back into Frostmourne. The Lich King did acknowledge Jaina while removing the sword from its pedestal. After doing so, he retreated into his private chambers and spawned multiple waves of spirits to deal with the adventurers and Jaina. Jaina, however, decided to go after Arthas, coming into blows with his former love interest. After the adventurers escape the spirits, Jaina realizes there is nothing left of Arthas, and ran away from The Lich King, eventually being rescued by the
Skybreaker
, one of the Alliance's flying ships.
Icecrown Citadel
Jaina accompanied the Alliance Expedition into Icecrown Citadel, showing up at the beginning of the zone. After Alliance players defeat
死亡使者萨鲁法尔
, Muradin Bronzebeard is unwilling to allow Varok Saurfang to pass and retrieve the corpse of his son, but Varian allows him through. This attitude made Jaina cry out of respect for her king.

Jaina Proudmoore: Tides of War
Sometime during the Cataclysm expansion, Jaina was requested to come to Dalaran by Rhonin. At Rhonin's request, Jaina took over the gnome mage Kinndy Sparkshine as an apprentice.
After Deathwing's defeat, at the end of Cataclysm, Jaina was increasingly worried about the rising tensions between the Horde and the Alliance. Jaina met with Thrall by Tidefury Cove in Dustwallow Marsh, to talk to Thrall about Garrosh's increased warmongering. Thrall, now going by his birth name Go'el, declined help, as he was set on his path and could not abandon the Earthen Ring, focused on healing the damage done by the former Aspect.
Jaina was left disappointed in Thrall's decision, she returned to Theramore, where Kalecgos met her, asking for help on finding the Focusing Iris. Despite Garrosh's condition, Jaina agreed to help with the search, and sent her advisors Tervosh, Pained and Kinndy Sparkshine, to help locate the artifact. During this time, Jaina and Kalecgos grew closer over the troubles of both character's past, eventually engaging into a romantic relationship.
Pained learned that the Horde was approaching Theramore via Northwatch Hold, in the Southern Barrens. This left Jaina with two problems - the search for the Focusing Iris and Garrosh's attempt to conquer all of Kalimdor. Although Jaina feared Northwatch Hold would fall to the Horde, she believed the Focusing Iris to be a more important task.
The Destruction of Theramore
After Northwatch Hold falls, and the Horde started marching towards Theramore, Jaina prepared for war. She returned to Dalaran and asked for an audience with Rhonin and the Council of the Six, who agreed to help with the defense of Theramore, believing the aid of the Kirin Tor, the Sha'tari Forces sent by Khadgar, and the Alliance forces coming from Stormwind would be enough to stop Garrosh from moving forward with the attack.
However, it was discovered that the troops attacking Theramore were a fake attack, with the objective of uniting the best and brightest Alliance minds in Theramore - Garrosh's magi had stolen the Focusing Iris, and used it to create an extremely powerful Mana Bomb to destroy all of them in one single blow. The Alliance discovered this far too late, and Theramore was obliterated with this Mana Bomb. Jaina, Kalecgos and a few other Alliance people managed to survive thanks to Rhonin, who sacrificed his own life to open a portal and deter the blast enough to allow them to escape.
Theramore, left in ruins after the strike from the Mana Bomb.
Jaina was hit with a portion of the Mana Bomb, and woke up irradiated with arcane energy, which resulted in most of her hair changing color from blonde to a silvery white. Despite Kalec's protests, Jaina went back to Theramore to survey the damage - the complete destruction of the port town.
She is left mortified by all her efforts into Theramore literally going to waste, but the moment that made her snap and completely change was when she stumbled into Kinddy Sparkshine's corpse. When she touched the Gnome's body to see her face, the body, also arcane irradiated, crumbled into unstable arcane dust. Losing someone so full of potential set Jaina on a path towards revenge.
Jaina's Revenge
Left with nothing but a cold fury, Jaina attacked and murdered all Horde troops that stayed behind to loot the ruins of Theramore. She managed to find the Focusing Iris and hid it away, planning to use it to empower a direct attack against the Horde. Jaina attempted to gather help from both Stormwind and the Kirin Tor, who refused to help. Stormwind didn't want to employ honorless tactics against Orgrimmar, and the Kirin Tor was wary of Jaina's plan possibly resulting in the death of many innocents that had nothing to do with the bombing.
Left without any other alternatives, Jaina traveled to the Dalaran library and found the book
The Sixth Element: Additional Methods of Arcane Augmentation and Manipulation
, warded shut by her former mentor, Antonidas. Seeing this as a sign that Antonidas would agree with her plans, she carefully broke the wards on the book and used its knowledge to manipulate the Focusing Iris into empowering a massive tidal wave that would drown all of Orgrimmar.
Jaina preparing a massive tsunami to flood Orgrimmar. (
Fanart by Plainandplain
)
As Jaina arrived into Fray Island, in the Northern Barrens, and started conjuring a massive tidal wave of water elementals to strike Orgrimmar, Thrall arrived barely in time to dissuade her from exacting revenge. Jaina, enraged, engaged in battle against Thrall, who used the power of the elements to lock her into a stalemate. This was taking its toll on Thrall, and when she was ready to strike the blast that would kill the Shaman, Kalecgos arrived and stopped her from murdering Thrall.
Kalecgos then started pleading with Jaina to not do it, mentioning that while she thought that what she did was right, so did Arthas when he went on his quest to slaughter all of Stratholme. Kalecgos implored her to not stoop so low, saying that not even Arthas had such hatred within him. Jaina was horrified with the realization that not only she was acting similar to Arthas, but she would be the same as Garrosh if she followed through with her revenge.
Realizing what she almost became, she dispelled the tsunami and remarked that although she would still fight Garrosh's Horde, she would not murder civilians to do so. Jaina mentioned to Thrall that peace might be possible after Garrosh is removed from his position as Warchief, but it would take a long time for her to consider Thrall a friend once more.
Jaina asked Kalec to fly her to Orgrimmar, and she noticed that the Alliance fleet was there, being destroyed by enthralled krakens summoned by Garrosh's Horde. Jaina then realized, mortified, that if she didn't get stopped by both Thrall and Kalecgos, she would also have annihilated the Alliance fleet. She then used the Focusing Iris' power to summon a wave of water elementals to save the Alliance fleet.
Rise as the leader of the Kirin Tor
When Kalec and Jaina returned to Theramore, they came across the mace Fearbraker, a family heirloom of the Bronzebeard clan, last given to Baine Bloodhoof, who felt like he was not worthy enough to wield it. The mace was left completely intact despite the mana bomb's impact. Kalec helps Jaina realize she wants to return to Dalaran, and as they talk, they realize their feelings for each other, sharing a kiss and formally starting their relationship.
Back in Dalaran and meeting with the Council of the Six, Jaina returned the tome she stole and explained it's role with the Focusing Iris. Kalecgos donated the Focusing Iris to the Kirin Tor for safekeeping. Jaina made a formal request to rejoin the Kirin Tor as a novice member, which was recused... Because the Six wanted her to become their leader instead. Khadgar explained that Vereesa Windrunner, Rhonin's widow found a box within Rhonin's belongings with a prophecy written by Korialstrasz, which perfectly described Jaina:
After the red comes the silver,
She who was golden and bright;
The Proud Lady humbled and bitter,
Shall now turn her thoughts to the fight.
Saphire to diamond she gleams now,
The Kirin Tor leader who comes,
"Queen" of a kingdom now fallen,
Marching to war's martial drums.
Be ye warned - the tides of war
At last shall break upon the shore.
After all that had happened, Jaina's restraint in the fact of revenge and despair showed much of her character. Jaina accepted the request, but not before mentioning that part of the effort was thanks to Kalec, who was then formally invited to also join the Kirin Tor.
As the new leader of the Kirin Tor, Jaina presided over Rhonin's funeral service.
Mists of Pandaria
For Jaina, Mists of Pandaria furthered her descent into her raging hatred against the Horde.
Landfall
Jaina was present on the Alliance meeting in the Shrine of the Seven Stars during
联盟之心
. She did not comment on whether they wanted to use the power of the Sha to their advantage, but she did help contain the Sha spawned from the quest.
Anduin Wrynn was sent to negotiate with Jaina a possible removal of the Blood Elves from Dalaran on
肯瑞托
, as the Sunreavers could represent a massive threat as they sworn fealty to the Horde. Jaina initially refused this notion, as she wanted to maintain Dalaran's neutrality in this time of war. She believed that although she despised Garrosh, Dalaran could still stand as a beacon of neutrality and hope, and wanted to show that the Alliance and the Horde could still work together despite tensions between their leadership (
达拉然的命运
).
Jaina helped reinforce Darnassus' defense to help protect the
圣钟
, an artifact of Mogu origin. Despite Jaina and Darnassus' best efforts, the Divine Bell was stolen from the Night Elf capital (
达纳苏斯行动
). After the Divine Bell was stolen, Jaina returned to Darnassus to assess the situation. Jaina concluded that, since she had Darnassus on lockdown, it had to be someone who personally knew the Kirin Tor's portal network, using it to aid the thief (
达纳苏斯行动
).
After this betrayal, Jaina called the forces of the Alliance and the Silver Covenant to purge all Sunreavers from Dalaran (
吉安娜的决意
). During this quest, Jaina imprisoned the leader of the Sunreavers, Archmage Aethas Sunreaver. After Dalaran was purged of them, Jaina reported to Varian that the Dalaran was free of Horde influence, and the Kirin Tor was now pledged to the Alliance. Varian scolded Jaina for her rash decision, mentioning that there were negotiations being done to bring the blood elves back to the Alliance, and her actions would be responsible for ruining those negotiations. Jaina rebutted that she did not feel sorry, since "once Horde, always Horde" (
有所必为
).
King Varian Wrynn says: Jaina! What's happening in Dalaran? Has there been an attack?
Lady Jaina Proudmoore says: The Kirin Tor was betrayed from within. I've handled the situation.
King Varian Wrynn says: How?
Lady Jaina Proudmoore says: I've purged the Horde from Dalaran. You have what you wanted, Your Majesty: The Kirin Tor belongs to the Alliance.
King Varian Wrynn says: But you said-
Lady Jaina Proudmoore says: I know what I said. My trust was misplaced.
King Varian Wrynn says: What of the Sin'dorei - the Sunreavers?
Lady Jaina Proudmoore says: Those that surrendered are being taken to the Violet Hold. I make no guarantees about those who chose to fight.
King Varian Wrynn says: Jaina, you need to talk to me before you act-
Lady Jaina Proudmoore says: How I run the Kirin Tor is my business.
King Varian Wrynn says: I was trying to negotiate with the Sin'dorei. I was opening discussions to bring them into the Alliance! By attacking their people, you've forced their hand-
Lady Jaina Proudmoore says: They chose their own path.
King Varian Wrynn says: You've driven them back to the Horde.
Lady Jaina Proudmoore says: You're fooling yourself. Once Horde, always Horde. I see that now. I'm mobilizing the Kirin Tor.
King Varian Wrynn says: Jaina. We've got to work together on this. The Alliance must act as one.
Lady Jaina Proudmoore says: Don't get soft on me, Varian.
After Anduin is left badly injured over his showdown against Garrosh, Jaina swears she will end Garrosh, no matter the cost (
寂静无声
).
Rise of the Thunder King
With the threat of the Thunder King rising, Jaina founded the Kirin Tor Offensive together with the leader of the Silver Covenant, Vereesa Windrunner, which would serve not only to help defeat Lei Shen, but to prevent the Horde from taking any artifacts of power from the mystical Isle of Thunder (
风雨欲来
). After assaulting the troll settlement of Shaol'mara, Jaina settled the Kirin Tor Offensive into the newly created Violet Rise.
Jaina and Vereesa Windrunner, the leadership of the Kirin Tor Offensive, in Violet Rise.
On the final assault against the Thunder King, Jaina led the Alliance forces against the Mogu leader Shan Bu. She learned during this assault that the Horde was also attacking the Mogu, and she was happy to imprison Aethas Sunreaver once more. After Shan Bu's defeat, Jaina confronted Lor'themar and ordered him to hand over Aethas in exchange for his life, while Lor'themar demanded for Jaina to release the Sunreavers imprisoned in Dalaran in exchange for her life. Taran Zhu eventually intervened and made them both agree to break the cycle of retribution, although Jaina did state that there would not be complete peace while Garrosh was still the Warchief of the Horde. To Jaina's amazement, Lor'themar agreed with the statement (
山怖之死
).
Later on, Jaina tasks adventurers to use the Staff of Antonidas to drain the energies around the Pinnacle of Storms, after defeating Lei Shen. When turning the quest in, she mentions that she plans to use the power of the storms to make Garrosh pay for all that he did (
开创未来
).
Siege of Orgrimmar
Jaina helps Alliance adventurers during the Siege of Orgrimmar, first being seen after the
傲之煞
encounter. After the Sha is defeated, she arrives there and meets with Lor'themar Theron, where both noticed that Garrosh left the weapon of his father, Gorehowl, behind, suggesting he is has gone off the deep end.
After Jaina advises Lor'themar to stay out of the way, she teleports the Alliance raid to Bladefist Bay in Durotar, and helps Alliance players through the
迦拉卡斯
encounter. After the Galakras fight, Jaina helps Alliance adventurers progress through Kor'kron Hold.
After
加尔鲁什·地狱咆哮
is defeated, on the Alliance ending cinematic for Siege of Orgrimmar, Jaina accuses the Horde of plotting against the Alliance and advised Varian to take the opportunity to dismantle the Horde once and for all. Varian did not take this chance.
Warlords of Draenor
Note: As the Legendary Ring questline has been removed from the game, you can no longer start this quest. This is only mentioned here for historical purposes.
Jaina made a brief appearance during the Legendary Ring Questline. She showed up on the quest
肯瑞托的触碰
, helping Khadgar empower the Legendary Ring after capturing Garona. Through the quest dialog, she showed approval for the Alliance character, but would constantly warn Horde characters that she had her eye on them, mentioning to Khadgar that the Kirin Tor would never work with the Horde again.
Legion
Jaina is presented on the first assault on the Broken Shore, fighting alongside King Varian Wrynn and Genn Greymane. She led a squad of Kirin Tor Battle-Mages to assist on the assault. The Alliance is eventually left vulnerable by the Horde's unexpected retreat, resulting in the death of Varian as he sacrificed himself to allow the rest of the Alliance to flee.
At Varian's funeral service in Stormwind Keep, Jaina is outraged at the Horde in her belief that they ran away and let Varian die. Jaina suggests that the Alliance makes a front against both the Legion and the Horde, which is immediately shot down by Anduin and Velen. On her rage, she announces that the Horde is never to be allowed in Dalaran again (
陨落的雄狮
).
Lady Jaina Proudmoore says: Have you forgotten the Horde's treachery? It's time to bring them to heel like the dogs they are!
Prophet Velen says: To fight two wars at once would be folly. For all our sakes, we need the Horde's strength added to our own.
Anduin Wrynn says: Velen is right. We must stand beside the demon hunters and focus on the Legion. Now is not the time to--
Lady Jaina Proudmoore says: The Horde betrayed your father and left us to die! To fight alongside those cowards would dishonor everything he stood for.
Prophet Velen says: My people know the price of facing demons as a world divided. It is time to unite our forces and defend our lands.
Anduin Wrynn says: Agreed. I'm sorry, Jaina, but vengeance must wait. I trust you're mobilizing the Kirin Tor as we discussed?
Lady Jaina Proudmoore says: Dalaran will help protect the Eastern Kingdoms, but I will NOT allow the Horde to set foot within my city!
Anduin Wrynn says: We must not splinter like this... not now. Please, Jaina!
Lady Jaina Proudmoore says: You disappoint me, King of Stormwind. But sooner or later, you will see the truth. You all will!
Anduin Wrynn says: My father dead... disaster on the Broken Shore... Jaina fixed on revenge... Everything is falling apart.

, the Council of the Six holds a vote in favor of allowing the Horde back in Dalaran, despite Jaina's objection that the Horde are monsters responsible for multiple atrocities. Jaina threatened to leave the Kirin Tor should the vote pass, but she is defeated 4 to 2. She then abandons the Kirin Tor and teleports away, warning the Council for the next time the Horde betrays them.
Archmage Khadgar says: Thank you all for gathering on such short notice.
Lady Jaina Proudmoore says: Khadgar, we don't have time to waste in meetings. The Legion is advancing and the Horde arms for battle.
Archmage Khadgar says: Then I'll get right to the point. For the Kirin Tor to fight at full strength, we need the mages of the Horde to join our ranks.
Lady Jaina Proudmoore says: NEVER! Do you hear me, Khadgar?
Archmage Khadgar says: Jaina, we know the pain you've endured. But this is about--
Lady Jaina Proudmoore says: They obliterated Theramore. They left us to die on the Broken Shore. Again and again they've proven to be monsters... cowards!
Archmage Khadgar says: I've made my case. With respect, I move for a vote.
Lady Jaina Proudmoore says: Very well. But consider your choice carefully. If you let those vermin back into this city, I will not be counted among your ranks when you welcome them.
Archmage Khadgar says: In the matter of allowing the Horde into Dalaran and offering membership in the Kirin Tor, I vote aye.
Archmage Karlain says: Aye.
Archmage Vargoth says: Aye.
Lady Jaina Proudmoore says: Nay.
Archmage Ansirem Runeweaver says: Nay.
Archmage Modera says: Aye.
Archmage Khadgar says: The vote carries. I'm sorry, Jaina, but the stakes are higher than they've ever been.
Archmage Modera says: Jaina, please... we are doing what's best for Azeroth. Stand with us!
Lady Jaina Proudmoore says: This Council is blind to the truth. When the Horde betrays you again, remember who warned you. Farewell.
Archmage Khadgar says: That was... difficult. But we must move forward. We will send our invitation to the Warchief at once. We have a war to win.
Reunion
Jaina was not seen through the rest of Legion. On the comic
Reunion
, it is revealed that Jaina ended her relationship with Kalecgos before leaving the Kirin Tor in the hands of Khadgar, and was fighting demons of the Burning Legion on her own.
During the comic, she returned to the ruins of Theramore and started reminiscing about all the events that led her to that moment: Daelin's death at the invasion of Durotar, the bombing of Theramore, the Battle of Undercity, leaving Dalaran and Kalecgos. She wondered whether her fate would have been different if she sided with her father or even stood by her brother's side at his death, long ago.
Jaina ported to her homeland, the Kul Tiran capital of Boralus, and found her mother, Lord Admiral Katherine Proudmoore, giving a speech about Daelin, about he always protected the people of Kul Tiras and how Jaina betrayed the nation. As the Kul Tirans declared that they would stand alone, without Jaina or the Alliance, Jaina returned to Theramore, swearing that no, Kul Tiras would not be alone.
Warbringers Series
Jaina was featured on the first video of the Warbringers series, focusing on main characters from Battle for Azeroth.
In the video, Jaina sang the Kul Tiran sea shanty
"Daughter of the Sea"
while paying her respects to the mass graveyard in the ruins of Theramore. She then took a silver anchor pendant from one of the graves and handed it to a hooded figure as fare.
When Jaina reminisced about the events that led to her father's demise, the hooded ferryman would sail Jaina through a sea of corpses and wrecked ships. The ghostly ferry eventually was guided through the stormy ocean until a spot where Jaina could see the faces of the dead. Using her powers, Jaina raises a sunken Kul Tiran ship from the depths of the South Seas, and the ferryman is revealed to be the ghost of Daelin Proudmoore. Jaina told her father that she understood what he meant now.
After Daelin's apparition disappeared, Jaina boarded the Kul Tiran ship, Jaina finished the sea shanty with a new, ominous verse, as she sailed for war.
"Daughter of the Sea" lyrics:
"Beware, beware the Daughter of the Sea."
"Beware," I heard him cry.
His words carried upon the ocean breeze,
As he sank beneath the tide.
Those blood-soaked shores of Kalimdor,
Where sailors fought and died.
The admiral fell at Theramore,
because she left his side.
Why this? Why this oh Daughter of the Sea?
Why this? Did you forget your seaside days?
Always the pride of our nation's eyes,
How could she go astray?
When she did flee across the ocean deep,
the admiral followed west.
What else but sail to save a daughter's life,
and pray she still drew breath?
But there he found upon those distant shores,
Enemies 'pon the rise!
But when he faced those savage foes
His daughter stood aside.
And buried deep beneath the waves,
Betrayed by family.
To his nation, with his last breath, cried,
"Beware the Daughter of the Sea”.
Battle for Azeroth
Jaina returned in Battle for Azeroth as a focal character for the Alliance. She received an updated model reflecting the naval armor of Kul Tiras.
Battle for Lordaeron
Jaina first appears during the War of the Thorns, arriving with her ghost ship, kept afloat by her magic midway through the Battle for Lordaeron. As the Alliance was starting to lose the battle thanks to Sylvanas bombing Undercity with her blight, Jaina used the flying ship as a catalyst for her powers, clearing the blight with a massive frost nova, and bombing the walls of the other Ruins of Undercity, allowing the Alliance forces to penetrate the city.
Jaina further aided the Alliance forces by freezing Horde troops and allowing further Alliance advancement. When Sylvanas decided to destroy Undercity at the end of the Battle, Jaina teleported all Alliance forces to safety atop her ship.
The Stormwind Extraction
The Horde encounters a vengeful Jaina during their stealth mission to rescue Princess Talanji and Zul the Prophet, in
逃出暴风城
. Zul, predicting this outcome, started fires all over their escape path, and when Jaina cornered the Horde forces right by Talanji's boat, she was forced to choose between imprisoning all the Horde stealth team or aiding Stormwind with the flames caused by the Prophet.
Later, during a meeting in Stormwind during
争霸艾泽拉斯:战争之潮
, Jaina uses her magic to look at a survivor's memories, and learns that the Horde has allied themselves with the Zandalari Empire, who own one of the biggest fleets known to Azeroth. Anduin then remembered that Kul Tiras also had a legendary fleet, and suggested attempting to bring them into the Alliance once more. Although Greymane did remind everyone that Jaina was the reason Kul Tiras left the Alliance on the first place, Jaina said that having her return to her homeland was the only way of convincing them Kul Tirans to help the Alliance.
Arrival in Kul Tiras
Jaina, Greymane, the 7th Legion and an adventurer sailed to Kul Tiras to seek their legendary fleet. Upon arriving in the Kul Tiran capital of Boralus, Jaina learned that the common Kul Tiran citizens both hated and feared her for her role in Daelin Proudmoore's death. When approaching Proudmoore Keep, Jaina and the adventurer were arrested on sight by the Proudmoore guards and taken to the Lord Admiral of Kul Tiras, Katherine Proudmoore.
Jaina went to Katherine without showing resistance, and attempted to plead with her mother to help the Alliance. Katherine didn't want to hear any of it, and urged by her longtime friend, Priscilla Ashvane, she treated Jaina as a traitor and had her taken away to face justice (
大海的女儿
).
Journey to the Blighted Lands
Jaina was exiled to the reviled island of Fate's End, far off the coast of Stormsong Valley. Fate's End was known for serving as a death sentence to prisoners of Kul Tiras, from which none would return. While in Fate's End, Jaina was taken by the drust king Gorak Tul and pulled into Thros, the Blighted Lands. Within Thros, Jaina was constantly haunted by memories of her past, including Arthas during the Culling of Stratholme, Varian during the Battle of Undercity, and Daelin right before his death in Theramore.
After discovering the betrayal by Lady Ashvane (
普罗德摩尔的谈判
), Katherine realized that she was wrong about Jaina, and Daelin lost himself before his death. With the help of the adventurer and some drust magic, Katherine entered into Thros, and managed to rescue Jaina, as well as defeating Gorak Tul once and for all (
兹洛斯,枯败之界
).
The Pride of Kul Tiras
After leaving the Blighted Lands, Jaina and Katherine arrived in Boralus, just in time to witness Lady Ashvane attacking Boralus with the help of the Irontide Raiders. Alliance adventurers embark into the Siege of Boralus, and help clear the city of Kul Tiras' enemies (
围攻伯拉勒斯:艾什凡女勋爵的回归
). Katherine returns Daelin's pendant to Jaina.
Jaina used the pendant as a focus for her magic, locating the Kul Tiran fleet, which was captured by the Tidesages of House Stormsong. Jaina managed to teleport the Kul Tiran fleet back to Boralus. The fleet, led by Jaina's middle brother, Tandred Proudmoore, attacked the Irontide fleet. Ashvane, surrounded and outnumbered, had no choice other than surrender. After this act, Katherine stepped down, naming Jaina the new Lord Admiral of Kul Tiras.
Jaina's nomination as Lord Admiral, as well as Kul Tiras' return to the Alliance, is made official during
统一的国度
.
Katherine Proudmoore says: Thank you all for coming. I shall keep this brief.
Katherine Proudmoore says: Division has made us vulnerable. We are beset by enemies from within.
Katherine Proudmoore says: The Horde, too, has made its intentions clear. Those savages would see us burn.
Katherine Proudmoore says: I ask you now to put your faith in my daughter Jaina... the true Lord Admiral of Kul Tiras.
Katherine Proudmoore says: And to renew our bond with the Alliance, whose heroes have saved us from our own unmaking.
Katherine Proudmoore says: What say you?
Lucille Waycrest says: House Waycrest stands with you, Lord Admiral. And with the Alliance.
Brother Pike says: The Storm's Wake shall guide the fleet to victory for the Alliance, as we have before.
Lady Jaina Proudmoore says: Thank you... all of you. I will do everything I can to prove worthy of your trust.
Anduin Wrynn says: I am pleased and honored to welcome Kul Tiras back into the Alliance. May the Light guide us to victory.
As a show of loyalty to the Alliance, Jaina and her brother Tandred begin construction of a new flagship, seeking Boralus' finest shipwrights, purified wood, and recruiting Brother Pike, Lieutenant Tarenfold, Rosaline, and Dorian Atwater to lead the crew. Before construction is complete, Brother Pike blesses the ship, and the player is given the choice of naming it Anduin's Wrath, Dawnsailor, Tiffin's Melody, or The Lionheart. Finally, Jaina reveals her gift to Anduin.
When you asked to meet me at the harbor, I had no idea what you had in mind. This is incredible!
Kul Tiras and the Alliance once shared a bond of friendship. Now both of our peoples will see that bond reforged.
I can think of no grander gesture, Lord Admiral.
She is yours to command, as is her crew. They will serve you on behalf of Kul Tiras.
After Sylvanas' cruel resurrection of Derek Proudmoore, Baine risks all to help the prince escape the Warchief's clutches, reuniting Jaina with her long lost brother.
Jaina... I can hardly believe it's you. When I set sail, you were a child. And now... Lord Admiral.
So much has changed, Derek. I... There's something I must tell you--
I know about father. The Horde spewed lies to poison me against you. But Baine explained the truth of what happened.
You, mother, and Tandred all endured so much. I'm pleased you have each other again, but... where does my path lead?
I don't know. But we will find the answer together.
I can't come home... can I.
No. Not yet. But I know others who have been through this. I believe they can help you.
Will you come with me, Jaina? I... I don't know if I can do this alone.
Of course, Derek. No matter the storm, we will face it... as family.
Although this is not without repercussion as Jaina learns that Sylvanas has imprisoned Baine in retaliation, and she resolves to finish the Warchief.
Baine showed compassion and honor by returning Derek to us. I fear that choice may cost him his life.
For years I pitied Sylvanas for what Arthas did to her. But nothing remains of the hero she was. Perhaps now the Horde will see that, too.
To have any hope of ending this war, we must end her.
Lord Admiral's Pendant
The Lord Admiral's Pendant plays an important role in Jaina's 8.0 story. It first shows up at the very end of "Reunion," as Jaina kneels by a sword to retrieve it. At the very start of "Warbringers," she symbolically pays the ferryman with this necklace, who is strongly implied to be the ghost of her father.
While we are not told in-game yet why this necklace is important, we can tell it is meaningful to Jaina as she's next seen wearing it in the Battle for Lordaeron and the Alliance introductory quests--until Katherine Proudmoore rips it off her neck.
We finally learn that this is the pendant owned by Jaina's father, through flashbacks in Thros, as Jaina relives the death of her father at Theramore. In the victory at Boralus, Katherine returns the pendant to Jaina, who uses it to successfully retrieve the missing Kul Tiras fleet.
The Battle for Dazar'alor
Jaina embarks on the offensive against the Horde, first defending Tiragarde Sound from a Horde attack (
风暴前的平静
,
特快专递
), then using of her magic powers together with Magister Umbric to help steal back the Abyssal Scepter, a Kul Tiran artifact stolen by the Horde (
劫掠珍宝间
).
With the Abyssal Scepter in hands, Jaina helps the Alliance create a distraction in Nazmir, by using the relic to create a thick fog around the zone (
战场迷雾
) to conceal the Alliance's actions. The Alliance strike force slowly makes their way to the border of Zuldazar, where a strike team will serve as a distraction on a suicide mission. Jaina and Mekkatorque lead a small fleet into the harbor, detonating the bombs placed earlier in the War Campaign and destroying a significant part of the Zandalari fleet.
Jaina is the
final boss
of the Alliance wing of the
Battle of Dazar'alor
raid. Chronologically speaking, the fight against Jaina will happen after the Alliance kills King Rastakhan and conquers Dazar'alor, and Jaina offers herself to stop the Horde from getting revenge on the Alliance. Alliance players will be able to experience this fight with a flashback mechanic that allows them to temporarily switch sides.
She also drops several pieces of loot with sentimental/story value:
破雾者,大海之光
: Lessens the effects of Howling Winds while battling Lady Jaina Proudmoore.
海军统帅的徽戒
and
戴林·普罗德摩尔的军刀
, drops from Jaina, are now part of a two piece set,

. Your autoattacks are tinged with the rime of the high seas, dealing 220 Frost damage to your target and reducing their movement speed by 10% for 4 sec.
冰川狂潮
- "Though she commands a variety of magical powers, Jaina has always been most proficient at summoning powerful elementals of water and ice."
Jaina survives the fight, escaping away at 5% health. She survives the battle, but is unable to wake Mekkatorque from his deep stasis. The dialogue ends with Jaina curious to meet Calia Menethil, her old friend:
Anduin Wrynn says: Jaina, is there anything you can do for Mekkatorque?
Lady Jaina Proudmoore says: I'm sorry. The mechanism preserving his body is unlike any magic I have encountered.
Anduin Wrynn says: Our priests feel just as helpless. History will say we won a great victory in Zuldazar. Yet I find little cause for celebration.
Lady Jaina Proudmoore says: It was a costly battle... in many ways.
Anduin Wrynn says: But enough of that. How are you faring? You held off the Horde's finest warriors so our fleet could withdraw. You risked everything for the Alliance, Jaina.
Lady Jaina Proudmoore says: Still recovering, but... I'll be fine. You have enough on your mind without worrying about me.
Anduin Wrynn says: It is good to have you back with us, Auntie. I missed you.
Lady Jaina Proudmoore says: So much transpired while I was away. Anduin... I've heard rumors about an old friend of mine--Calia Menethil. What happened in Arathi?
Anduin Wrynn says: There is much to explain. Some I still don't fully understand... but I'll tell you what I know.
Lady Jaina Proudmoore says: Thank you. Let's find somewhere quiet to talk.
An Unexpected Reunion
Baine decides it is time to take action, disgusted with Sylvanas' plan to torture the newly-revived Derek Proudmoore. While he sends Valeera Sanguinar to propose a meeting with the current Lord Admiral of Kul Tiras, Jaina Proudmoore (
拨乱反正
), him and Thomas Zelling hijack a forsaken ship and sail to Theramore to reunite Derek Proudmoore with his family (
苦涩的重聚
).
Baine: Lady Jaina, long has it been since we spoke peacefully in Theramore.
Jaina: Theramore is gone. You did not ask me here to reminisce.
Baine: No. I have come to return one who was lost.
Jaina: Derek? My own brother...I had thought better of you Baine! Tell me, is he the Banshee's puppet? Crammed full of blight? Is he the bomb this time?
Derek: Yes...That was the plan. But...Baine took me from Sylvanas before...before...I was twisted to her will. I'm still your brother, Jaina, for as long as stars do shine.
Jaina: Why?
Baine: The Horde has a sickness in it. We wage war while the Earthmother dies. We have forgotten what truly matters and my heart can bear it no longer.
Jaina: Sylvanas will kill you for this. She may not stop with you.
Baine: No life is worth living if we cannot be true to our nature. I return home to take what solace I can in my family. I hope you take solace in yours.
Jaina: Baine...Thank you.
Jaina is initially hesitant of Derek, but softens when he tells her that he'll always be her brother. It is unclear if Derek remains a sleeper agent for Sylvanas, or if he has free will. When the cinematic released, we wrote an

covering Jaina's friendship with Baine, the references to "Daughter of the Sea," the ominous shots with the knife and more.
Following the reunion, Jaina hints that she will take him to the Netherlight Temple to meet Calia Menethil.

Kul Tiran Allied Race
After the events of the Battle of Dazar'alor, Kul Tiras officially pledges their support to the Alliance. Jaina commissions a fine naval ship, led by her brother Tandred Proudmoore, as a gift to Anduin Wrynn to symbolize the support of Kul Tiras. This quest series can be completed as part of the

Rise of Azshara
Jaina is part of the Alliance expedition that gave chase to the Horde through the seas, and eventually ended up shipwrecked in Nazjatar (
狼王之咬
).
As the Alliance forces struggle to find shelter against Azshara's naga forces, they meet up with Blademaster Okani, leader of the Waveblade Ankoan (
深陷困境
). Although Greymane, who is with her, is initially distrustful of the Ankoan, Jaina trusts them as they have no choice, and the Alliance is granted sanctuary in Mezzamere (
路向何方
). With the help of the adventurer and their Heart of Azeroth, Jaina is able to bypass Azshara's teleportation wards and opens a portal to Boralus (
归途
).
As the Alliance builds their bonds with the Waveblade Ankoan, Jaina is summoned to Stormwind by King Anduin (
善良的回报
). Anduin announces that they discovered that Baine is being kept prisoner by Sylvanas under Orgrimmar, and he was to be executed soon. Jaina immediately offered to help rescue Baine, as a way to thank him for bringing Derek back to her, and she teleports to Orgrimmar with Shaw and the adventurer (
刀下留人
).
In Orgrimmar, Jaina helps dismantle Azerite weaponry and eventually meets up with Saurfang and Thrall, also on a mission to rescue Baine. They join forces and eventually locate Baine who is being kept prisoner by the joint forces of Sylvanas' Deathguards and the Silver Covenant, led by a vengeful Magister Hathorel, who is looking for revenge against Jaina. The combined forces of the Horde and the Alliance manage to free Baine, with Jaina narrowly porting everyone away after freezing Hathorel.
Jaina ports everyone safely to the outskirts of Thunder Bluff. She is then approached by Thrall, who thanks her for helping them rescue Baine. Thrall then starts reminiscing to Jaina about his past, about how he could not fail Baine as he failed both Cairne, Garrosh, and Jaina herself by indirectly allowing the destruction of Theramore to happen, in a reflection close to Jaina's time in the Blighted Lands. Jaina tells Thrall that they all have blood in their hands.
Thrall then talks about the possibility of Sylvanas exacting revenge on them by attacking Thunder Bluff, with Jaina telling them that the Alliance and Horde once stood together, managing to prevent the destruction of the World Tree in Mount Hyjal. Thrall tells her that it would not matter, as both factions would eventually end up at each other's throats, with Jaina telling him that it would be different this time - They were older, wiser and wary of the faction war. Jaina then returns to Stormwind to tell Anduin of the mission's success.
After Jaina reports to Anduin, she returns to Nazjatar, telling Greymane that they need to unite with the Horde forces there, as they would not stand a chance alone against Azshara, and this would also buy Saurfang enough time for his rebellion against Sylvanas to take root. Greymane reluctantly agrees.
Genn Greymane: Good to have you back, Jaina. Why did King Anduin summon you?
Lady Jaina Proudmoore: Sylvanas ordered the execution of Baine Bloodhoof. Anduin sent us into Orgrimmar to rescue them.
Genn Greymane: You risked your lives to save a leader of the Horde?!
Lady Jaina Proudmoore: After what he did for Derek, I felt I owed him a debt. We received some unexpected help from Saurfang... and Thrall.
Lady Jaina Proudmoore: We had a common enemy. Sylvanas wanted us at each other's throats. Perhaps that's what Azshara wants, too.
Genn Greymane: Hold on... are you suggesting we lay down our arms and fight beside them? After all they've done?!
Lady Jaina Proudmoore: No. Merely that we direct our efforts against Azshara instead of the Horde. That could buy time for Saurfang's rebellion to take root.
Genn Greymane: Very well. We will focus on defeating the naga queen. But if the Horde turns against us, they will answer for it.
As the adventurer infiltrates the naga forces deep into Nazjatar, they discover that the naga have access to a massive stash of Azerite weaponry, and Jaina immediately recognizes the weaponry craftsmanship as Ashvane's, finally discovering where Ashvane went after being broken out of Tol Dagor (
偷取纳迦的秘密
).
After players encounter a weapon that could be used against the handmaiden guarding the Tidestone of Golganneth, the Alliance and Horde forces combine on a joint strike against the Tidal Conflux. After the handmaiden is defeated and their forces break Azshara's hold on the Tidestone, Jaina joins her magic with First Arcanist Thalyssra of the Nightborne, their powerful incantations combined breaking a way into Azshara's Eternal Palace (
).
Together with a raid of adventurers, Jaina and her entourage manage to defeat Azshara. But in the end it was nothing but a hollow victory, not last because Azshara has been saved by N’Zoth whom he freed herself.
Back on Azeroth, Jaina joins the revolutionary forces behind Varok Saurfang. Together with First Arcanist Thalyssra she was ordered to build magical barriers to protect the army in front of Orgrimmar. However, the end of the Fourth War turned into a duel between Varok and Sylvanas, which resulted in the death of Varok Saurfang and Sylvanas leaving the Horde.
Shortly after, Jaina orchestrates a meeting between her brother Derek Proudmoore and Calia Menethil. Derek and Calia tell Jaina that they will leave Kul Tiras to serve a higher purpose,
most likely to support the leaderless Forsaken after they’ve met with Lilian Voss
.
Shadows Rising
Not too long after Sylvanas had fled the Horde and an armistice had been signed with the new Horde Council, the Alliance received information that suggested a Dark Ranger presence on Zandalar. Concerned that Dark Rangers meant Sylvanas, Anduin chose Alleria and Turalyon to investigate. Later, he sent Jaina to check up on them.
After some time, Anduin worried at the apparent lack of progress from Alleria and Turalyon, and sent Jaina to check on them. Jaina found the two basically using torture to interrogating a human man - Alleria searching his mind with the Void while Turalyon kept him chained with the Light. Jaina was shocked by these methods. Turalyon informed her that the man sheltered and smuggled Sylvanas's Dark Ranger Visrynn, and showed her a dagger that the man had - clearly Forsaken in design. Jaina was still bothered by their interrogation methods and questioned them about it. Turalyon responded that Alleria wasn't harming the man too much, and that Turalyon was able to heal him with the Light when it was all over.
Jaina found his placation, that "all will make sense in time", condescending. She was also troubled by Turalyon's defense of the way they were using the Light and Void - abusing it in her eyes. She reported the way that they were torturing the smuggler to Anduin, and was surprised to find he supported their methods. Anduin told Jaina that difficult decisions had to be made, and he trusted Turalyon and Alleria enough to know the line and to not cross it. At this, Jaina realized Anduin's heart was hardening, just as hers had once, and she felt deeply saddened.
Alleria and Turalyone were able to uncover proof that there was indeed a Dark Ranger presence in Zandalar, and so he sent his spymaster, Mathias Shaw, to deal with the matter. He also asked Jaina that the Proudmoores host a dinner for Alleria and Turalyon, in which they could discuss alternative plans should Mathias Shaw's investigation fail. By this point Jaina deeply mistrusted Alleria, still uncomfortable with her and Turalyon's interrogation methods, and wondering how much the Void influenced her. Turalyon, she felt, chose to stuff his mouth so that he didn't have to speak on purpose.
The dinner was interrupted by Flynn Fairwind, who had traveled with Mathias to Zandalar, and who brought the news that the spymaster had been captured by Zandalari forces - along with absolute physical proof of Dark Rangers in Zandalar. As Alleria began to speak of sending more Alliance to Zandalar immediately, Jaina interrupted her. Alleria took it badly, and began to show signs of Void powers, but Jaina kept her temper, and only reminded the others of the armstice and how important it was to preserve it. Jaina suggested they instead trust the armistice.
Jaina organized for a meeting to be held between herself, Anduin, and Thrall - as well as Ji Firepaw, who Thrall brought with him. At this meeting they informed the Horde leaders of the proof they had found of Dark Rangers, and asked them directly if the Horde was still working with Sylvanas. Thrall swore that they were not, but did explain that the Zandalari queen, Talanji, was angry with the Horde for not helping her get revenge on Jaina - who Talanji saw as directly responsible for the death of her father Rastakhan.
Anduin asked Jaina if she believed that the Horde leaders could be trusted. She told him that they could - as Baine Bloodhoof would never consent to work with Sylvanas again. Thrall promised to investigate Zandalar himself, and Jaina opened a portal for him and Ji to get there faster.
Later, Jaina was visiting Goldshire Inn when she came across a disguised Anduin. She confronted him and he explained that he liked to dress up and escape the pressures of the crown sometimes. Jaina was sympathetic, and left the Inn for Anduin to enjoy alone. At the same time, it was revealed that Jaina questioning him was one of the concerns weighing Anduin down.
Thrall did find the Dark Rangers, along with Nathanos Blightcaller and the fallen undead Night Elf, Sira Moonwarden. Nathanos escaped, but Thrall sent Sira back to the Alliance as a gift for Tyrande. Sira taunted Anduin, and in his anger he released a tiny sign of Shadow magic for the first time. Jaina witnessed this sign of darkness and the fear on her face left Anduin feeling rattled even more than his own brief loss of control.

I enjoy WoW lore it's one of the few things able to keep my attention when reading since my attention usually quickly wanes haha.
It was a great read, even though I knew going in that most of it were known to me had a few nice additions and details that I had missed whilst playing threw most of the content of these games.
One little error in the grammar I found tho was under the sub-topic:
The Battle for Mount Hyjal.
* *= actually 2, 1 spelling, and a grammar mistake, the latter of which took the speed out of my reading.

My apologies for being grammar police but I only wish to increase the reading pleasure it does certainly provide with or without it corrected :)
Thanks!
