Welcome to Ironforge
Hello, and welcome friends to Ironforge! We're glad to have ya! Ironforge is a wondrous place where the forges burn bright, history comes to life, and the mead flows free. Built into the side of the great mountain ranges of Dun Morough, first time visitors become awestruck as they traverse the path from Kharanos to Ironforge's great gates. Whether you're here for the beer or just looking to explore, Ironforge has something for everyone.
Getting Here
From Dun Morogh
New adventurers who select
矮人
or
侏儒
as their character's race begin their journey at Coldridge Valley and New Tinkertown in Dun Morough respectively. To get to Ironforge from these areas:
Follow the major road out of your race's starter zone to Kharanos
Take the north path from Kharanos to Ironforge
From Azuremyst Isle
New adventurers who select

as their character's race begin their journey in Ammen Vale. To get to Stormwind:
Head west from the Crash Site (through Ammen Fields) until you reach the pass between the mountains
From the pass, continue following the path west until you reach the dock at the western edge of Azuremyst isle
Take the portal to Rut'theran Village
Take the portal at the central dock to Stormwind
From the docks, make your way to the Dwarven District
Enter the portal to the Deeprun Tram that is located on the eastern portion of the Dwarven District (Coordinates: 61,65)
Board a tram and ride it to the other side (if there are no trams when you enter, one will arrive shortly)
Exit the tram and run through the portal to enter Ironforge
From Darnassus
New adventurers who select

as their character's race begin their journey at Shadowglen in Teldrassil. To get to Stormwind:
Take the path from Shadowglen to Dolanaar
Take the flightpath from Dolanaar to Darnassus
Run under the glowing pink structure next to the flight master
Take the portal at the central dock to Stormwind
From the docks, make your way to the Dwarven District
Enter the portal to the Deeprun Tram that is located on the eastern portion of the Dwarven District (Coordinates: 61,65)
Board a tram and ride it to the other side (if there are no trams when you enter, one will arrive shortly)
Exit the tram and run through the portal to enter Ironforge
Note:
If you get lost upon reaching Darnassus or Stormwind, speak with a guard, select the "Other Continents" option, and then select the "Stormwind City in the Eastern Kingdoms" or "Ironforge" option. Upon selection of the second option, the guard will then mark a location on your map with a red flag and a gold arrow with a dot on your minimap.
From Northshire Abby
New adventurers who select

as their character's race begin their journey at Northshire Abbey in Elwynn Forest. To reach Ironforge from Northshire:
Follow the path south out of Northshire to Goldshire
Upon reaching Goldshire, take the flightpath Stormwind (Blue shoe with wings on your map and

Head down the steps and proceed to the Dwarven District
Enter the portal to the Deeprun Tram on the eastern portion of the Dwarven District (Coordinates: 61,65)

Exit the tram and run through the portal to enter Ironforge
Note:

Touring The Forge
The city of Ironforge can be broken up into 7 sections. Each section has its own unique set of personalities and landmarks that differentiates one side of town from another. The following is some brief information about each section as well as maps showing the approximate span and boundaries of each section.
Hall of Explorers
A testament to Dwarve's desire to understand the world around them, the Hall of Explorers is a museum and library where scholars and adventurers alike can study ancient life and the histories of dwarven society. When browsing the museum, be careful not to touch the fossils!
The Commons
Just as the name suggests, The Commons is a large gathering area where citizens of the Alliance can gather for events such as

or browse an assortment of shops.
The Forlorn Cavern
The Forlorn Cavern is a dark cavern in the back of Ironforge. While there isn't much to do in the cavern except fish from the large pool, legend has it that the elusive

lurks in its depths.
The Great Forge
The heart of the city, The Great Forge is a large molten forge that houses The Great Anvil (the physical embodiment of dwarven pride and culture). This area also houses The High Seat where the Council of Three Hammers rules over the dwarven people.
The Military Ward
Serving as the war headquarters for the city, The Military Quarter is a command center and arsenal for Ironforge's army.
The Mystic Ward
Whimsical magics await within The Mystic Ward. Here the finest dwarven magi gather to practice and study diverse schools of magic ranging from frost to holy. Additionally, the ward houses a portal to Hellfire Peninsula in the Outlands that adventurers who are at least level 58 can access.
Tinker Town
Inventors, experimenters, and tinkerers gather here to put their ingenuity and expertise to the test. Tinker Town also features access to the Deeprun Tram, an underground tram system that connects Ironforge to Stormwind.
Attractions
Hellfire Peninsula Portal
Experienced adventurers who are at least level 58 can take a portal to Hellfire Peninsula to quest. The portal can be reached by entering the Hall of Mysteries located at the back of the central portion of The Mystic Ward.

Hero's Call Board
Do you like to travel? Are you seeking the thrill of adventure? If you answered "yes" to either question, then head on over to a Hero's Call Board next to the Auction House in The Commons to find an expedition that matches your experience level!

Quartermasters
During your stay, you may notice that certain individuals may request your aid to further their cause.Should you feel inclined to aid the gnomes and dwarves, you will be able to purchase unique rewards based on your reputation with the corresponding faction. In Ironforge, there are two emissaries that new adventurers have access to:

. You can find both quartermasters in the southeast corner of The Great Forge standing next to the flight master.

Amenities
Auction House
Got more money than you know what to do with or want to make more money? Ironforge provides adventurers the unique opportunity to buy and sell goods with other adventurers. You can find the auction house in the center of The Commons directly next to the city gates.

Need a place to store your belongings while you adventure around the Eastern Kingdoms? You can find the Vault of Ironforge in the center of the commons across from the bank and city gates.

Sometimes while adventuring, a fresh look is required to complement a change in scenery. Located along the northwestern portion of The Commons,

Deeprun Tram
Serving as an underground subway system from Stormwind to Ironforge, the Deeprun Tram is a feat of gnomish engineering. The tram can be accessed by taking the portal at the eastern edge of Tinker Town.aw If you get lost, don't hesitate to speak with a guard.

Flightmaster
No matter where your travels may take you across the Eastern Kingdoms,

has a gryphon for the job! The flight master can be reached by going to the south eastern portion of The Great Forge and looking for the winged shoe marker on your mini map. If you get lost, talk to a guard and select the Flight Master option.

Ironforge Visitor's Center
A common practice among adventurers traveling to Ironforge is creating a guild. Should an adventurer or brave hero wish to create a guild of their own, they should travel to the visitor's center in the center of The Commons next to the city gates. Upon creation of the guild, a variety of services including creation of a guild crest will become available at the visitor's center. Start a guild today!

The Stonefire Tavern
Come grab a pint at one of the finest dwarven establishments this side of the Eastern Kingdoms! Despite being smaller in size, patrons will find no shortage of dwarven stouts here. Should you wish to make this inn your local watering hole, you can find it just north of the city gates in The Commons.

Arts and Crafts
A common pastime among dwarves is arts and crafts. If you ever get lost on the way to a profession trainer, speak with a guard, select the "Profession" option, and then select the profession that you're looking for.
Alchemy
Flasks, potions, tinctures, and more! Head over to Berryfizz's Potions and Mixed Drinks in the center of Tinker Town.

Those seeking to uncover the mysteries beneath the earth and the lineage of the dwarves can speak to

Many adventurers who wear plate armor have their destinies forged by the blacksmiths who make their armor. Those who wish to take up the hammer may visit

Wildhammer Fact Checker
This NPC is a reference to
Ian Bates (AKA Red Shirt Guy)
who won the hearts of the WoW community during Blizzcon 2010. Following the book that would lead into the Cataclysm expansion,
Falstad Wildhammer
was slated to be one of the three rulers of The Council of Three Hammers. However, during the beta for Cataclysm, Falstad was nowhere to be found. Ian corrected the developers during the panel, and as a result, received a npc in-game standing to for his efforts. Should you wish to visit this npc, you can find him standing next to Falstad in The High Seat (located at the south west edge The Great Forge).

Hall of Arms
The war headquarters and armory for the dwarven military, the Hall of Arms serves as a base of operations and arsenal. Located in the south central portion of The Military Ward, the Hall of Arms also serves as a docking stating for the Ironforge Siege Brigade.

Old Ironforge
Old Ironforge is the most ancient and forgotten section of the city that resides below The Great Forge. While this section of the city was initially closed off until Cataclysm when Magni turned to diamond, it remains open and is a key component of the
Dwarf Heritage Armor Questline
. Old Ironforge can be reached by entering The High Seat and then taking a hard left down the ramp next to the doorway.

The Great Anvil
One of the most sacred relics of the dwarves, The Great Anvil is the embodiment of dwarven culture. Only the most powerful weapons and armors are crafted by this forge. You can find The Great Anvil in the center of The Great Forge.

The High Seat is the throne room where The Council of Three Hammers rules over the dwarven people. You can reach this area by going to the southwestern edge of The Great Forge.

The Library
Not just a place for bookworms, The Library boasts a large collection of dwarven manuscripts and artifacts from ancient civilizations. In addition to its large collection of books, the library also boasts a museum with fossils of ancient animals. Admittance to the library is always free and the library can be found in The Hall of Explorers taking up the entire right hand side of the hall.
