Overview
This guide will cover helpful tips and tricks on how to deal with each class in a 1v1 dueling situation as a
猎人
in Classic WoW. This will assume you have most of your cooldowns, not including things like
地精火箭头盔
or

as long cooldowns/expensive consumables like these are unrealistic to have for every duel.
Hunter is a great class if played correctly in a 1v1 situation. The playstyle is almost the same vs. every Class; you will kite and constantly reset the fight with your

combo which is usually referred to as "Scatter-Trapping" — allowing you to get range and cast your

as well as use some

General Rules
Remember that you can swap gear/trinkets over when you drop combat with a

. You would do this after you use a trinket E.g you could swap

Always remember to use your Melee abilities

Strategy and Tips
This matchup is generally easy if you play correctly. The
德鲁伊
will open-up on you in
猎豹形态
from stealth with

which will stun you for a few seconds. I usually save my trinket for a

. Or if they cast

and put me in dead range and I know I can quickly trinket and Scatter-Trap them or finish them off in any way. So after they open on you, they will begin to start rotting you down with their damage over time spells. You should immediately Scatter-Trap the druid, get to max range, and apply a
猎人印记
. After this start casting an
瞄准射击
followed by your
自动射击
and
多重射击
, this will put the
德鲁伊
under a good amount of pressure, and you may even force a cool down such as

out of them. I usually get a
蝰蛇钉刺
on straight after the damage opener because they may be under too much pressure to waste a GCD on the dispel. I mainly apply these when I have no abilities to press but have a good amount of pressure so that it is less likely to be dispelled.
After both of your openers, usually, the
德鲁伊
will begin to run at you in an attempt to dead-zone you, make sure to keep kiting and shooting your

every time you can. You can also use

on the run pretty quickly as it has a short cast and if you notice them beginning to cast a nature spell such a
愈合
or

, you can quickly start to cast

. They will also use

which roots you for a second allowing them to

like I said earlier this is an excellent CC to trinket as it will keep the pressure up on them as you hop away. If you get trapped in melee range, use your melee abilities and make sure to use

Rank 1 as it only costs 40 mana compared to
德鲁伊
shapeshifts which is a couple of hundred mana at level 60. They will spam shapeshifts to try and catch you, but it will severely damage their mana if they do and an oom Druid is a win condition on its own.
Some

also may try to CC your pet with
纠缠根须
/
休眠
which you can attempt to interrupt with your Scatter-Trap but generally using a
驱散射击
is a bad idea on its own unless you have an advantage as it will screw up your next damage combo. They will also use
自然之握
, which will root an enemy that hits them with melee; this will usually affect your pet since it will be in melee. A good way to counter this is if your pet gets rooted, you can Scatter-Trap the Druid and wait until the pet is out of the roots while the Druid remains frozen then do your damage combo.
Tips:
Apply
蝰蛇钉刺
only when you have pressure otherwise, the
德鲁伊
will most likely dispell it instantly. Under pressure, they will focus their GCDs on healing instead.
Save

for a

to counter pressure, or for an
纠缠根须
if it will allow you to finish the kill or keep pressure high.
Use

Rank 1 versus
德鲁伊
because they can't slow you so 50% is more than enough, and you will save a lot of mana and make them burn through a lot from shapeshifting.
Time your Scatter-Traps so that the Damage-Over-Time effects on you will fall off during the CC, allowing you to get a
厚符文布绷带
off.
If you are stalling for a Scatter-Trap and you are stuck in melee, make sure to use
灵猴守护
and
威慑
to reduce incoming damage from Cat or Bear Form.
Make sure to keep the pressure up, to win this fight you need to make sure the
德鲁伊
is spending more mana on healing and shapeshifting rather than damaging you. If done right you will either out damage the Druid or they will go OOM due to the number of healing spells they need to spam.
Interrupt casts of big heals with
胁迫
if you have it.

vs
猎人
Strategy and Tips
You versus yourself. Well, what do you like doing? Scatter-Trapping, so that's what will happen to you. An enemy
猎人
will generally not start near you, so getting a Scatter-Trap opener means you will have to run closer. Usually, if I see them casting
瞄准射击
, I will run towards them and interrupt it with
驱散射击
while I'm close enough to get a
冰冻陷阱
off. This allows me to take the minimal amount of damage and get a
恐吓野兽
off on the enemy pet. I will run to range and use a Bandage if I have taken more then 1k damage so that I have full health and a large advantage as I cast an
瞄准射击
followed by

and
多重射击
. After this, it is best to stay at long range and just put as much pressure out as possible, doing so will prevent the enemy

from running in and dropping a Scatter-Trap combo on you. Staying at the max range will also allow you to duck out of the enemy Hunter's max range as they cast
瞄准射击
on you giving you even more of an advantage.
If you get Scatter-Trapped first though, usually it is best to just straight up do your damage combo out of the
冰冻陷阱
. Then you will start positioning yourself to get close enough for your own Scatter-Trap. You should trinket the
震荡射击
or if they have
胁迫
and make it a priority to get them Frozen. Once they are continuing with the
恐吓野兽
on the enemy pet so that you can safely get a

off, bringing you back into the fight. Then go on with your usual DPS combo and try to out-range as many

that you can.
Tips:
Try to get the first Scatter-Trap off so that you have the head start in the fight.
You can
假死
an
瞄准射击
if you're too far away to Scatter-Trap but not far away enough to step out of max range. This should only be done if you know you won't be using your Scatter-Trap combo shortly.
Use your trinket on
震荡射击
or if they have
胁迫
. Either when you are running in for a Scatter-Trap or if you are trying to create distance to avoid being Trapped yourself.
Fear the pet when you freeze the enemy Hunter so that you can safely Bandage.
Use
毒蝎钉刺
when you have no damaging abilities to press, and it isn't applied.

法师
Strategy and Tips
This is a tough one versus a good
法师
. They can freeze you in place, slow you constantly and run at you consistently keeping you dead zoned or trapped in melee range. They have high damage and good defensive cooldowns. A good Mage will keep you rooted, and your pet turned into a sheep with
变形术
. Some Mages will even opt to use
变形术
on you and kill your pet.
To open on a Mage, you should use
蝰蛇钉刺
straight away to get their mana burning off the start. They do go OOM quickly with this applied to make sure to keep it up as this could be a win condition for you. If they blink on you and
冰霜新星
, you may be able to
假死
and
冰冻陷阱
without having to use
驱散射击
, this is highly risky and will only work if the positioning is right. But if you have your
驱散射击
saved you can use it to interrupt a spell later like a Poly or Frostbolt.
While they are in melee range, make sure to be using

as much as possible and keeping

Rank 3 up.
强化摔绊
is a highly useful talent against Mages; it gives you some extra leeway to get some ground on them, which is the hardest thing about this fight. They may
寒冰屏障
your Scatter-Traps to keep the pressure up on you which is actually really hard to counter. If you can get your
摔绊
to snare or if you saved your
驱散射击
you can use it to get some range. If you run
胁迫
, it might even force them to use
闪现术
, giving you some reasonable distance instantly. Whatever the case is, you will need to apply some form of CC to them to get you enough distance to get a quick
自动射击
and
多重射击
in, you likely won't get to cast
瞄准射击
before they dead zone you again unless you have them Frozen. Also, make sure to keep
蝰蛇钉刺
on whenever you get the chance since if they are OOM, they are useless.
Sometimes you will be trapped in slows with no form of CC to get you out. Using your Melee abilities at this point and hoping that you and your pet can get some lucky crits off may be your best hope here. Using a trinket to escape a
冰霜新星
with no follow up can be a bad choice. If you trinket and don't have any slows on the Mage or your
驱散射击
or
假死
up to avoid Poly or a Frostbolt slow you may just be right back where you were.
You should still try to Scatter-Trap when it feels safe verse a Mage, but it is also highly beneficial in this match up to use your
驱散射击
or
假死
to interrupt their important casts. You can always drop a
冰冻陷阱
at your feet whenever your Feign Death to interrupt too because the Mage may still run over it if you position yourself right.
Tips:
Make sure to keep
蝰蛇钉刺
on them to potentially OOM them before they can deal enough damage to kill you.
Don't just use your PvP trinket, make sure it is in combo with some sort of CC, even if it is just a slow. A Mage has many snares and slows, and randomly using it on the first bit of CC in the fight will not end well.
Use your
驱散射击
and
假死
to interrupt spells on this fight, not just for Scatter-Trapping.
胁迫
or
铁皮手雷
work well to interrupt spell casts or gain some distance.
超低温寒冰偏斜器
is highly useful if you can reflect a high rank
寒冰箭
back at the Mage, especially while snared.
Make sure to take full advantage of your Melee abilities when you can, this fight is one of the hardest for Hunter, and it will be tough to win.

Strategy and Tips
This matchup is fairly easy if played correctly. You may have trouble with some
圣骑士
if they use
圣疗术
and
圣盾术
, but apart from that, you have outstanding counterplay towards them. To open up usually, you can use a
震荡射击
to slow them which will force a
自由祝福
out of them. Continue to kite them until they get close enough for you to use a Scatter-Trap combo. If they happened to use
制裁之锤
on it is possible to hold your Trinket for the next Stun as you will be able to Scatter-Trap and bandage straight out of it. Once Trapped and you have on them you are able to unload your Damage Combo on them and use some bandages if need be. You will pretty much rinse and repeat this throughout the duel until they're dead.
They don't have much to counter you though they may use a
忏悔
on you to close the gap or get some healing off. Also, if they use
圣盾术
, you should activate
威慑
and
灵猴守护
if they are using it offensively. If they are using it to heal however you can just run to max range and get ready to cast an
瞄准射击
about 2.5 seconds before the bubble ends so that as it ends they are hit with your high damage.
If the
圣骑士
is holy or has a hybrid spec, you might have a bit more trouble because of the tankiness, but the match will still go the same, kite as much as you can and use your Scatter-Trap to counter
自由祝福
if they are close to you.
Tips:
Try to use your Scatter-Trap combo to nullify the effects of
自由祝福
.
You can use
奥术射击
for a bit of damage through
保护祝福
if they use it as it only blocks physical damage.
You don't have to trinket the first
制裁之锤
since you will be able to Scatter-Trap and Bandage heal most of the damage they dealt during the Stun.
Pop
威慑
and
灵猴守护
if they
圣盾术
offensively and just try to run.
If they use
圣疗术
, make sure to complain that they used a 1-hour cool down in a duel.
猎人
vs
牧师
Strategy and Tips
This matchup isn't too bad, but there are some things to be cautious of.
牧师
has a damage over time spell
暗言术:痛
which they will keep up to prevent you from getting any Bandages off. They have an instant cast AoE Fear
心灵尖啸
which will affect you and your pet. They have strong healing and an absorption shield
真言术:盾
which will absorb most of your damage if you don't time your traps right. Fortunately, they cannot dispel your
蝰蛇钉刺
which means applying one straight away and keeping the mana burn up is key to this fight. Please remember though even though this spell doesn't deal damage, it will cancel your CC when the mana drain does tick.
To get Scatter-Traps off you may have to eat a
心灵尖啸
, you can Scatter Shot around 10 yards away and safely run in to Trap them, but this requires a lot of attention. You should try to Scatter-Trap a Priest as you get their
真言术:盾
down so that you can have them frozen and unprotected as you unload your full Damage Combo onto them. It is also possible to use
胁迫
or
铁皮手雷
(if you have it) as your
瞄准射击
is about to hit to give you another 3 seconds of unshielded damage allowing you to
多重射击
and possibly
自动射击
again before they apply

Another tactic is to wait until
暗言术:痛
has around 5 seconds left and then use your Scatter-Trap which will give you enough time to bandage while the
牧师
is CCed and then possibly perform your Damage Combo.
Tips:
牧师
has a
驱散魔法
which will remove your

and
猎人印记
. If I want to get the most of a
震荡射击
I usually apply and spam
猎人印记
in hopes that the dispel will hit it first as I kite.
Try to avoid the
心灵尖啸
by staying 9+ yards away. You can still get your Scatter-Traps off, but you will need to be really good with the distance and getting in close to drop the Trap ASAP after you use Scatter Shot.

can work to prevent an application of a shield while you cast

will help you put out more pressure. You can also use these to interrupt healing if timed correctly.

can be used to reflect

but they may just dispel the

if they're good.
Use your trinket on

procs that would allow the priest to get within range to Fear.
Time your
蝰蛇钉刺
correctly so that it won't cross over with your Scatter-Trap combo and break it.

vs
潜行者
Strategy and Tips
This can be a tough one.
潜行者
has a lot of sticking power, with two stuns that don't share DR
偷袭
and
肾击
. As well as
凿击
and
致盲
to keep you in place while they regenerate their Energy. They will also have you constantly slowed with
致残毒药
. You are going to spend a lot of your time in CC during this fight and a lot of time in Melee, so make use of
猛禽一击
as much as possible. You should also always have a
摔绊
up as this will allow you to actually be faster than the Rogue since it is a 60% slow and Crippling poison is only 50%.
猫鼬撕咬
should be used whenever it procs in melee range and you should make full use of
反击
if you have it as the snare will help immensely in this match up.
You can either place a Freezing Trap on yourself and wait for the Rogue to open and they will get frozen which will allow you to get full range and apply a
猎人印记
which enables you to see them in
潜行
. Then you can unload your Damage Combo which they can't avoid with
消失
because of your
猎人印记
. Usually, they will
疾跑
at you to get close enough (10 yards) for a
致盲
which will allow them to
消失
and open back up on you again. You should be able to kite the Rogue using your
震荡射击
and keep them out of range of their Blind for a few shots at least. A
矮人
has
石像形态
which can be used to break Blind even once it has been applied too, which makes them a strong Race against Rogues.
If they do get the chance to reopen on you this time you can use your PvP trinket and instantly Scatter-Trap. Make sure that you Scatter Shot quickly after the trinket to avoid being put in more CC. Get to max range again and unload your Damage Combo now and you should be able to kite, CC, damage, repeat this whole duel if played well.
If you get opened on without a Trinket or Scatter-Trap combo available you will have to go back into Melee mode as you attempt to kite into Ranged distance or until your Scatter-Trap combo is off cool down. You should also activate
威慑
and
灵猴守护
when you will be stuck in Melee for a while, doing this will also allow you to get a lot more
猫鼬撕咬
because of your increased chance to parry.
Tips:
Overall, it can be a hard fight, but by timing your Trinket and CC right as well as making the most of your Melee abilities you can definitely win.
You could
照明弹
at the start and sit in it with a Trap on you, but it is very frowned upon. Though after this first opener you any other Flares are fair game.
Keep
猎人印记
so that you can always see the Rogue even if they
消失
. Throwing a
照明弹
on yourself if you can predict a
致盲
will completely nullify a Rogue's chance to reopen on you as well.
Use
铁皮手雷
to stop the Rogue from closing distance as your
震荡射击
is about to end.
Make use of your Melee abilities when stuck in Melee. Your
摔绊
up as this will allow you to actually be faster than the Rogue since it is a 60% slow and Crippling poison is only 50%.
猫鼬撕咬
should be used whenever you dodge an attack and
反击
helps a lot if you have it talented.
Make good use of
矮人
's

. It can remove
致盲
even once it is already applied and will make you immune to Crippling Poison for the duration.
As always make sure to get bandages off whenever you have the enemy Frozen and no damage over time effects on you such as

or

vs
萨满祭司
Strategy and Tips
A
萨满祭司
can go both ways in terms of difficulty. A good Shaman will be a tough match, but an average Shaman will not be so bad. They have abilities to keep you slowed, such as
冰霜震击
and
地缚图腾
. Strong damage and healing with casted spells which are possible to interrupt. They even have a Totem
根基图腾
that can negate the effect of your
冰冻陷阱
.
When opening verse a Shaman, you should be aware of their
根基图腾
. If you Scatter-Trap them while this totem is active, they will not be affected by
冰冻陷阱
as the totem will "eat" the spell. A good way to counter this is to get a Grounding totem nuke macro which goes like this "/cast arcane shot(rank 1)". You use rank 1 so that it kills the Totem but wastes as little mana as possible. If you're unsure press this macro before you Scatter-Trap, your
瞄准射击
will be off cooldown before they are unfrozen anyhow.
Shamans will usually cast
冰霜震击
in an attempt to slow and dead zone you as they run at you in between casts. You can use your PvP Trinket on this whenever you can't get distance on them, don't worry they don't have any other hard CC, so it isn't a waste.
You can also opt to kite them without your Trap, using
侏儒撒网器
to keep them in place for a good burst and use your
假死
to interrupt their damaging abilities such as
闪电箭
and
闪电链
. Your
驱散射击
is good for interrupting those spells too as well as heals like
治疗波
. They also have a spell
自然迅捷
which will make their next spell instant cast which they will use to either put a big heal on themselves of throw out an instant damaging spell. If you are putting out enough pressure, they will use it to heal, which is better for you.
Tips:
This is a quick fight, so using
蝰蛇钉刺
usually isn't that beneficial.
Make sure to kill
根基图腾
with a macro like "/cast arcane shot(rank 1)" if you are trying to Scatter-Trap.
Use your PvP Trinket on
冰霜震击
if you are having trouble kiting.
Make use of
假死
and
驱散射击
to interrupt their spells if you can kite well enough to not have to Scatter-Trap.
猎人
vs
术士
Strategy and Tips
This is hands down the god class of 1v1 duels when it comes to Classic WoW. They have healing, CC
恐惧术
/
腐蚀术
, a Pet that deals damage and can be sacrificed to give a huge shield
牺牲
, damage over time effects
痛苦诅咒

腐蚀术
to prevent you from Bandaging and

to help them heal even more.
To open on a

, you should use your

and try to get your

off. If you time it right you will get this off as the Scatter Shot is ending meaning, you can save your

to avoid a

cast and waste their time/get more damage out as they cast the next one. You can also prevent a
恐惧术
/
腐蚀术
with
快速暗影反射器
which will significantly improve your odds of winning.
You shouldn't have to kite much, most Warlocks will spend their time casting CC and trying to trap you in that rather than dead zone you.
Using
蝰蛇钉刺
can work depending on how long you are fighting since Warlocks go OOM quickly and have to use
生命分流
which pretty much translates to more damage for you.
Overall this fight is going to be tough, you will be CCed constantly and DoT rotted down, even if you get some good damage off Warlocks have good defensive abilities and a lot of healing unless you can reflect a
恐惧术
or
腐蚀术
as well as possibly some other spells you will have a hard time being able to out damage a Warlock's sustain in a 1v1.
Tips:
Use a
快速暗影反射器
to reflect CC such as
恐惧术
/
腐蚀术
.
Use
驱散射击
/
假死
to avoid Fears.
Use
蝰蛇钉刺
to drain mana to force

for extra damage to the Warlock.
Realize that this is a hard fight and you might not have a chance verse an equal geared Warlock, even if you do everything correctly.
You could also Opt to Scatter-Trap the pet and go full zerg mode on the Warlock, and if you are geared enough, you might be able to burst through them quickly enough.

战士
Strategy and Tips
This matchup can go either way. Depending on how you play and how good the
战士
's RNG is with crits. Warriors have two charges
冲锋
/
拦截
, the first of which they will use to initiate on you and can only be used out of combat. The second one has a 30-second cooldown and can be used in combat and also stuns for longer (3 seconds). A Warrior will generally
冲锋
in and use
嘲讽
,
惩戒痛击
, or
挑战怒吼
to force your pet to attack it. This means even if you use
驱散射击
and have your pet on passive, it will still attack the Warrior and break the CC; they will do this and try to force your Scatter-Traps while your pet is taunted to instantly be broken out and not let you get any ground. To counter this, make sure you watch for when the Warrior switches stances and keep an eye on your pet's debuffs. A Warrior can only use
嘲讽
in
防御姿态
and
惩戒痛击
in

.

can be used in any stance but has a 10-minute cooldown so they won't be able to do this every duel.
Apart from the taunts on your pets, a Warrior will also

you making you unable to do any damaging abilities for 10 seconds. Here you can

while you will most likely be caught in their melee.
They will try to
拦截
out of a Freezing Trap, so make sure that you are 25 yards+ away to stop them from getting that off instantly. Kiting and stalling for your next Scatter-Trap combo while avoiding being charged a good strategy all the meanwhile your pet and auto attacks will keep them in combat and slowly get them down.
Tips:
A good Warrior will always try to taunt your pet in some way multiple times through the duel. Don't get played by this, use your melee abilities for a few seconds while the taunt debuff on your pet wears off.

whenever you are caught in melee.
Use
侏儒撒网器
, and they will be rendered useless, though they may trinket it. But this allows for full Concussive Shots and easy kiting.
Don't let them drop combat or they will use
冲锋
to close the gap and keep

up their sleeve for the next gap closer.
Use your PvP Trinket on
拦截
stun.
Keep
摔绊
up in melee as it will slow the Warrior more than their
断筋
slows you. Also make use of your other Melee abilities

if you have it.

Rogue section is full of errors.
You should also always have a Wing Clip up as this will allow you to actually be faster than the Rogue since it is a 60% slow and Crippling poison is only 50%.
That is incorrect.

is 70%.
Then you can unload your Damage Combo which they can't avoid with Vanish because of your Hunter's Mark.
That is wrong - Vanish clears Hunter's Mark.
Don't worry about wing clip, your primary goal should be to get out of the melee range ASAP. Most rogues have a hole in their stunlock rotation - either wait for the hole, or use the trinket if it's off CD. Then immediately

them, FD +

, gain distance (Dwarves - use
