古达克
(Heroic) is a level 80 dungeon found in Zul'Drak in Northrend. While players of level 80+ can access the dungeon in its original form at any time, this dungeon is one of the five Wrath of the Lich King instances available during Timewalking holidays in Patch 6.2. This guide will describe how to complete the dungeon in its Timewalking form.
The entrance is located in northern Zul'Drak, and you can also queue up via the Adventure Journal panel.
Loot and Rewards
This instance can be soloed by high-level players outside of Timewalking weekends. However, there are several reasons to queue up for this instance as part of the Timewalking holiday:

If you did not run this instance back in the day, Timewalking is a great opportunity to learn more about the instance with friends. Players above level 81 can queue together for this Timewalking instance, so this is a fun way to play with friends that are not max level.

Activate altars to drop keys into the lock and access Gal'darahIn order to complete Gundrak, players must defeat three bosses - Slad'ran, Drakkari Colossus, and Moorabi -
and activate the altars those bosses are standing near
. Each boss's altar, when activated, will fire a beam of light that severs a rope holding a key over a rotating platform in the center of the dungeon, causing the key to fall and slot into a lock in the platform. When all three keys have been placed, the platform will rotate to complete a path to the final boss, Gal'darah.
Gundrak (Heroic) also contains an optional boss, Eck the Ferocious, who becomes accessible after defeating Moorabi.
Slad'ran
Notable Trash Mobs:
There is very little trash standing between players and the first boss, Slad'ran. There are three packs of aggressive enemy snakes, and a large number of tiny snakes that do not conventionally aggro when players enter the area.

encounter requires players to exhibit moderate awareness and switch between AoE and single-target DPS quickly.
Slad'ran has only a few abilities that players must deal with:

deals very heavy damage to players within 15 yards of Slad'ran and leaves a lingering DoT

is the most dangerous mechanic, but players can avoid it by outranging the attack or by using a nearby pillar to line of sight the effect.
Snake WrapWhen Slad'ran reaches 90% health, he will call for minions to assist him in the battle. Two types of snakes will join the fight in a steady stream of adds.

These adds will begin attacking players at random. There will be many more Slad'ran Constrictors than Slad'ran Vipers, so players' first priority should be to AoE the Slad'ran Constrictors quickly. This will help to avoid trapping players in Snake Wraps. Players can snare, stun, or slow these adds to reduce the number of stacks of

Tank Slad'ran near his starting position to give adds a longer path to get to players
Taunt Slad'ran Vipers off of other players

The path out of Slad'ran's room will lead players through packs of the same Cobras and Constrictors they have already encountered, but add a few new enemy types.

Golems do moderate AoE damage, and particularly if players do not move out of

s left by the slain Living Mojo, this can be fatal. Tanks should run away from a Drakkari Golem when it is buffed with

Drakkari Colossus Tips & Strategy
The Drakkari Elemental emerges from the Colossus at 50% healthThe

fight has two phases: the Colossus phase, in which it begins the encounter, and the Elemental phase, where it acts like the Living Mojo that players just defeated.
While in the Colossus phase, the tank will take heavy damage from melee attacks and

, and occasionally from

. When the Colossus reaches 50% health, it will cast

, pouring forth a surge of Elemental energy and summoning the

The Drakkari Elemental will periodically cast

, dealing Nature damage to two nearby enemies and creating

s beneath their feet. The Elemental will also

, rushing forward and dealing heavy damage to players in its path. Upon reaching 50% health, the Elemental will cast

Players will then have to repeat the cycle, first finishing off the remaining health on the Colossus before killing the Elemental and completing the encounter.
Tank's Responsibilities:
Quickly taunt the Drakkari Elemental and Drakkari Colossus after each transition
Tank the Elemental near a wall, so that players have time to react to

Move the bosses away from any nearby

s so melee DPS will not stand in them
Use a survivability cooldown when the Drakkari Colossus gains the

Notable Trash Mobs:
Most groups will drop down into the water immediately following the Drakkari Colossus encounter, skipping several packs of trash and emerging on a small ramp just outside Moorabi's room. This water is inhabited by
达卡莱狂鱼
fish that will aggro onto players as they swim, often dazing players and potentially dealing fatal melee damage. The tank should build threat on these fish while players swim past, or, players could use

to bypass the Frenzy damage.
As players emerge from the water, there will be a patrolling

. Players should kill it or drag it into the next pull; it only attacks the tank, and deals moderate melee damage, with occasional strong attacks from

. The tank can use Active Mitigation or a survivability cooldown when the Earthshaker gains the
强力打击
buff.
Moorabi's room contains Drakkari Lancers, Fire Weavers, and Earthshakers, as well as two new enemies,

The God Hunter will attack its target with

, and melee, and will occasionally

to take less damage from players
The Medicine Man casts

on the healer, causing the Medicine Man's casts to drain the healer's mana bar, and will buff their allies with

Players should focus on the Medicine Man in any pack first, then the Fire Weaver or God Hunter.
Note that it is very easy to pull all of the trash in the room, either with long-range AoE like
or

, or by healing threat. Tanks should be prepared to taunt incoming enemies should this occur.
Moorabi Tips & Strategy
The
莫拉比
encounter has two phases, the Prophet phase in which the encounter begins, and an Avatar phase that occurs when players allow Moorabi to complete a
变形
cast. The mechanics in the two phases are very similar - renamed for flavor, since Moorabi takes on the form of a mammoth in the Avatar phase - with the Avatar phase mechanics being more potent variations on Moorabi's Prophet-phase abilities:

, a powerful attack that Prophet-Moorabi uses against the tank, becomes

in the Avatar phase, leaving a hefty DoT
In Prophet phase, Moorabi will damage and stun the entire party with

; in Avatar phase, this becomes

, and deals additional damage
Prophet Moorabi's

, which slows all players' casting speed by 25%, becomes
麻痹怒吼
, slowing casting speed by 50%, in Avatar phase
Ideally Moorabi will remain in the Prophet phase as long as possible, because not only do his abilities become more potent when he transforms, but he also gains 25% additional damage.
Keeping Moorabi in Prophet phase is accomplished by interrupting the
变形
cast
Due to
魔精狂怒
, the
变形
cast will become faster and faster as players damage Moorabi
He can attempt to cast
变形
as often as every 6 seconds, so players will need to coordinate interrupts
Until Moorabi transforms, he is vulnerable to Stun abilities, so players can use these abilities to interrupt
变形
as well
Unless the party is very coordinated, Moorabi will eventually transform. Players should use their DPS cooldowns at the start of the fight and take care to interrupt as frequently as possible so that Moorabi is at very low health when entering the Avatar phase.
Tank's Responsibilities:
Assist in interrupting

Use powerful survivability cooldowns during the Avatar phase
Damage-Dealers' Responsibilities:
Assist in interrupting

Use DPS cooldowns at the start of the fight to whittle away as much health as possible while

Tank damage is very heavy, particularly during the Avatar phase
Use instant spells while debuffed by

, since cast-time spells will be slow
Party-wide AoE healing will be required after the stun wears off from each

When possible, assist in interrupting

Eck the Ferocious (Optional)
Eck the Ferocious can be accessed after players defeat Moorabi; a secret passage opens up in the wall directly opposite Moorabi, and Eck is in a large chamber at the end of the passageway.
Eck is an optional boss and does not count toward the completion of Gundrak for daily quests or the Timewalking event.
Notable Trash Mobs:
There are a large number of
废墟居民
s inhabiting the underground passageway to Eck's chamber. These enemies are moderately annoying, as they will
跳跃
around the area, and occasionally will

. This is a cone attack that will damage any players standing in its area of effect.
Players should stay loosely grouped up so Ruins Dwellers do not
跳跃
out of the range of AoE, and be sure to move behind any Ruins Dweller that is currently casting

.
Eck the Ferocious Tips & Strategy
The
凶残的伊克
encounter is a single-target encounter with a 90-second berserk timer. If players fail to defeat Eck within 90 seconds, he gains

, dealing 500% increased damage. This will make his subsequent abilities fatal, and a berserked Eck will make quick work of a party.
Eck Spit tracks its targetEck has the similar abilities to those used by the Ruins Dwellers players faced on the way to his chamber.
Eck targets the farthest-away player with
伊克之跃
, leaping away from the tank and dropping threat
Eck will immediately begin to cast
伊克之秽
, a cone attack that will damage any players standing in its area of effect
Eck will then attack his current target with
伊克之噬
, dealing heavy Physical damage
Players should remain fairly close to Eck so that the
伊克之跃
does not take him too far away from melee DPS. The tank will also need to taunt Eck quickly after each
伊克之跃
, to avoid non-tank players from taking
伊克之秽
or
伊克之噬
damage.
Note that
伊克之秽
, whilst being a channeled ability,
will follow its target
if the target moves. If
伊克之秽
is being cast on you, stand still so that you do not drag the Spit effect over other players.
Tank's Responsibilities:
Face Eck away from the party for
伊克之秽
Taunt Eck immediately following each
伊克之跃
(wait for him to land first)
Minimize boss movement to avoid losing DPS
Damage-Dealers' Responsibilities:
Stay relatively close to Eck so that the
伊克之跃
does not take him out of range of attacks
If targeted by
伊克之跃
, move so that Eck is facing away from other party members, in case he finishes the
伊克之秽
cast before the tank can taunt
Use a survivability cooldown if Eck finishes
伊克之秽
, to mitigate against
伊克之噬
Maximize your DPS against Eck to avoid the berserk
Healer's Responsibilities:
Tank damage is very high in this fight, as is the damage on any player affected by
伊克之噬
or
伊克之秽
, but there is little to no AoE damage if Eck is positioned properly
Stay relatively close to Eck so that

does not take him out of range of other players' attacks
If targeted by
伊克之跃
, move so that Eck is facing away from other party members, in case he finishes the

before the tank can taunt
Use a survivability cooldown if Eck finishes

Gal'darah
Players may only access Gal'darah after all three required bosses have been defeated and the altars they were guarding have been activated.
Notable Trash Mobs:
Many groups will activate Moorabi's altar then jump into the water to take a shortcut to the bridge that players just completed by activating the altar. As before, this water contains Drakkari Frenzy fish, so players should swim quickly and activate survivability cooldowns if they draw the ire of several fish.
On the bridge to Gal'darah, players will encounter
达卡莱掠夺者
s and a
达卡莱犀牛
o. On the stairs leading up from the bridge, and in Gal'darah's room, the Drakkari Rhino are serving as mounts for the Drakkari Battle Riders.
Drakkari Rhinos will
冲锋
a player, dealing very heavy damage, and cast

, damaging and silencing players within 15 yards

their weapon at random players, and also hurl a

at a random player, leaving a Poison DoT effect
Note that Battle Riders can be damaged while they are riding the Rhino, but do not follow conventional threat rules and will attack random players. However, if players cast a hard CC such as

, the Battle Riders will dismount and follow conventional threat tables.
Caster DPS and the healer should stay more than 15 yards from a Rhino to avoid being silenced. The healer should be sure to keep players topped up in case they are targeted by a Rhino's

, and should dispel the

debuff if their dispel ability can clear Poison effects.
Gal'darah Tips & Strategy
Stampede summons a Rhino SpiritThe

encounter also has two phases, similar to the Moorabi encounter: a Prophet phase and an Avatar phase.
Gal'darah will switch between the two phases every 30 seconds, starting in the Prophet phase.

deals heavy Physical damage to the tank and leaves a bleed effect

that will charge a random player, dealing moderate to heavy damage and knocking the target back

is a whirlwind-type ability that deals heavy damage to players caught in its area of effect, and leaves a powerful bleed
During this phase, the tank should kite Gal'darah when
旋风劈砍
begins, and melee DPS should move away to avoid taking nearly fatal damage.
Impaling Charge gores a player on Gal'darah's hornWhen Gal'darah enters the Avatar phase, he takes on the form of a Rhino, and replaces his abilities with two new ones.

Gal'darah will also gain

If that player is far away, Gal'darah will first charge to the target, dealing heavy damage
Once Gal'darah reaches the target of

The affected player is immobilized and cannot cast any abilities while gored
During this phase, ranged DPS and the healer should move in to about 15 yards away from Gal'darah, so the charge part of
穿刺冲锋
does not occur, reducing the damage the targeted player will take. Healers must take care to heal the Impaled target.
Tank's Responsibilities:
Run away from Gal'darah during
旋风劈砍
and kite him away from ranged players
Use a survivability or self-healing cooldown after

Whirling Slash is extremely dangerousDamage-Dealers' Responsibilities:

sladran might be doing too much damage-- i don't remember it being practically unhealable back in wrath.

I remember this dungeon was my first heroic experience in Wrath, and it
was
practically unhealable
if the party didn't know what they were doing
. You could tell immediately whenever a dungeon run started whether or not it was going to be successful based on how they did on Slad'ran.
The Wrath Timewalking event was great because I got more hate as a healer over the weekend than I did over the last three expansions
combined
. I had a few groups that were perfectly fine and handled all the fights by paying attention, but mostly I got groups that at turns accused me of healing the boss (no joke), speculated that I had hacked the game to let me into the queue, blamed me for not healing the party through three (3) entire packs of mobs pulled at once by DPS brainlessly flinging their AOEs everywhere, and kicked me when they couldn't bulldoze through the boss fights by spamming their max DPS rotation and ignoring all the fight mechanics.
I can't wait for Mana Tombs.

Use the ramps, leading into the dungeon, in which to tank Skad'ran on. (the higher the better)
Takes the adds longer to get to get to the group and much easier to stay out of Poison Novas.
