Hunters had a strong fantasy, but the three specs were too similar.

Beast Mastery is the classic ranged spec with a pet.
It is more focused on pet damage than ever, but much of the damage will still be a result of the
猎人
using abilities. With the artifact

, Beast Mastery Hunters will effectively have two permanent pets.
The vast majority of Focus is now generated passively.

is now a Focus spender instead of a generator.

has been removed.

is now a rotational ability that summons a beast for 8 seconds and generates a small amount of Focus. Its cooldown has a chance to reset every time your

Downtime is now a fact of life for Beast Mastery. There will be periods of time where you have nothing to cast, or shouldn't cast anything to save Focus for something more important. Learning when to lay off casting

will be the major learning curve for seasoned Beast Masters used to spamming their buttons.
Traps have been removed from Beast Mastery and are now exclusive to Survival.
Survival Hunters are now melee and have an increased emphasis on traps.

is your hardest hitting ability by a long shot. You can and should improve it with various talents and artifact traits.

is a new damage over time effect, which can be applied to a single enemy.
causes you and your pet to perform a combo attack. Ayy!

serve as your filler spells when you have nothing better to do. Whilst low damage on their own, they can be modified via talents to buff yourself or debuff enemies.

as Marks' “signature ability”. It has also returned to being the primary movement restriction of the spec, as you can no longer move while casting it.

Sniper Training has been overhauled, and no longer includes a movement penalty. It now increases the range of all ranged abilities slightly, and greatly increases the damage done of all abilities that cost Focus.
Raid-wide buffs are removed in Legion and only healers can mass-resurrect.

Talents
There are more spec-specific talents in Legion, with each talent tree row offering more playstyle variety--active, passive, and proc talents. In addition, there are less "themed" rows--eg mobility talents are split among rows, instead of being in the same row.

Rapidly fires shots at all targets with your Hunter's Mark, dealing 250% Physical damage and making them Vulnerable for 30 sec. Damage taken from Marked Shot and Aimed Shot increased by 25%. Lasts 30 sec. Stacks up to 3 times.

Among the most gifted hunters, there are those who have from birth felt a profound bond with the creatures of the wild. These beast masters are drawn to the perilous primal world, invigorated by its dangerous and untamed nature. Primitive landscape becomes home. Ferocious predator becomes kin. Whether in the thrill of the hunt or the heat of battle, beast masters call forth a litany of vicious animals to overwhelm prey and gnaw at their enemies' will.
Gameplay
Beast Masters were already in a good place overall, but we've refined existing abilities and talents to better differentiate them from other Hunters. Previously, Cobra Shot filled all of your free moments in combat, leaving no time for managing your pet, which should be a defining characteristic of Beast Masters. To this end, and to aid in Focus accumulation, Dire Beast is now core to Beast Mastery, allowing you to repeatedly summon wild beasts that generate additional Focus for you through their every attack.
Marksmen, too, shroud themselves in the perils of the untamed wilds, perfecting the use of weapons that are deadliest from great range. They've maintained little interest, however, in gaining the loyalty of the many beasts inhabiting these crude landscapes. Instead, the marksman blends into the surrounding environment, surveying behavior of all manner of predator and gleaning deadly methods for stalking their own prey. A sniper in hiding, the marksman unleashes arrows and bullets with deadly precision, exposing the weakness in whoever—or whatever—passes through their crosshairs.
Gameplay
The Lone Wolf gameplay introduced in Warlords of Draenor proved extremely popular with Hunters, and that play style fit perfectly with our vision of Marksmanship Hunters as master archers and snipers, relying on their skill and precision with weapons rather than animal companions. All Marksmanship Hunters now gain Lone Wolf by default, ranging through the wilds without a pet beside them. On the resource front, the Marksman now gains Focus from the use of Arcane Shot. And, as a note for those who enjoyed the previous version of Survival gameplay, we have moved certain abilities, such as Black Arrow and Lock and Load, to Marksmanship-specific talents.
While all hunters feel a calling to the wild, some serve as a reflection of its brutality. To them, the hunt is defined by unrelenting ferocity, where survival means facing one's enemy eye-to-eye . . . and is always accompanied by merciless bloodshed. Weapons of great range are abandoned for instruments of close-quarters combat. Survival hunters are instinctive and crafty on the prowl, employing loyal beasts and laying deceptive traps to see their enemies undone. For these hunters know that to truly understand what it means to survive, one must first become familiar with the cruel face of death.
Gameplay
Not only do Survival Hunters use melee weapons instead of ranged weapons, they're also now the only Hunters that make use of traps—other specs will receive forms of crowd control and AoE damage suited to their distinct characteristics. Survival Hunters will snare and bleed their enemies, fighting them in close quarters with their trustworthy companion to maximize the brutality of the hunt. They have no direct control over Focus regeneration, but instead pool it up during successive Mongoose Bites to further amplify the damage they inflict.
In many ways, Hunter design in Legion embodies our key philosophies for class change. Hunters have a strong “core fantasy”: they're masters of tracking prey, experts at sniping enemies with bows and guns from a distance, tamers of wild beasts, and trappers of unsuspecting foes. The challenge with the Hunter class in WoW is that, for the most part, while all three specs deliver that basic fantasy, the distinction between them is fairly minimal. In Legion, we're focused on better differentiating these specializations to deliver more dynamic and varied experiences.

Whoa wait what? Are you saying Dire beast will not be a random Beast from anywhere in the World, but will be a random Beast from the Exact zone you are in? If that's the case, RP players are going to love this!

So, question on Dire Beast. Since it's BM's only chance to regain focus now, are we extra-extra-extra-screwed on fights where our pets simply can't reach a valid target? This happens every now and then (sometimes bugs/glitches, sometimes valid pathing issues like the target flying) and I'm not sure its avoidable in WoW's engine. It's going to really suck if we've got the same limitations as a melee class when these situations arise.
Fair point, may look into a solution that doesnt require Beast to attack, maybe just a focus per second while guardian active kinda deal.
Maybe have some kind of pet communication channeling ability where you and your pet communicate and that generates focus? I'm kinda unsure, that seems like quite a predicament.
Personally hate channeled abilities unless its things like Arcane Missiles :). Will be sone very active talent options for focus generation to make up for this if you need it.

In the BM changes, there's a note saying that "summoning a beast reduces the cooldown of Bestial Wrath by 15 seconds." With Dire Beast having a 10 second cooldown, it seems like you'd be able to Bestial Wrath up indefinitely. Is this intended or will Bestial Wrath be given a longer cooldown/lower duration to compensate for that?
BW should feel like its up more aften but not indefinitly. All just tuning points for us to work on now we have the foundations solid.
Is the frenzy / focus fire (and go for the throat/invigoration) dynamic gone for Beast Mastery as well?
Yes. Didnt like how it felt to interact with the pet in this arbitrary fashion.

I have a question. Or concern, I suppose, about BM Hunter. I know that the fantasy is all about beasts and controlling them (and also that the preview was just to give us an idea of concept) but I feel a bit worried that Cobra Shot was the only ability I saw that actually makes use of the gun. I'll still have an assortment of meaningful attacks with my gun that aren't auto attack, right? I like focusing on pets but I don't want Blizzard to overdue it and make the spec about nothing but pets + cobra shot and the badass hero with the gun be incidental while the pets get the whole spotlight. Beastmastery is about teamwork.
This is only the core spells, and talents will build on it.

Not to undermine all your hard work, but... any chance we could get a glyph for dire beast to summon a pet from our stables? As beast mastery, I almost always have a spirit beast out. It would be cool to see some of the non-spirit beasts I have from time to time since they never get much use.
Theres tech required for this but its already in the works, likely built into a talent.

Funny story, it wasnt called Mongoose Bite originally, until watcher "announced" the melee survival spec at gamescon, then you all asked for it to come back. I couldnt change its name fast enough!
Please tell me that with Survival getting Wing Clip back that one of the talent options will be something like the old Improved Wing Clip or maybe a more reliable version of the old Counterattack. Those were abilities that really felt great in the old 0/21/30 PVP spec back in Vanilla when I got Grand Marshal. Also, hunters have very low armor and dodge (and no parry) compared to vanilla, will that improve at least for Survival if they are going to be in melee now?
We arent really at that tuning point yet but will get there. Improved WC was cool, ill see if the pvp guys would be interested.

Is there a reason why Survival's 'Flanking Strike' has the exact same text and effect/cooldown as Beast Mastery 'Kill Command'? I wasn't sure if that was an error or intentional for them to be the same.
Slightly out of date, we are constantly working in this stuff. It will be an attack with you and your pet attacking at the same time.
thanks for bringing Mongoose Bite back, but is there more to the Survival rotation that building up vast charges of MB ? I know you can't share too much, but some idea would be nice !
Its more split 50/50 between hectic weaving between MB and other skills while trying to proc more charges, and more steady useage of other skills while waiting for MB charges to build up. Its hard to express gameplay in words.

Does Survival have a way to build focus? from what we've been told so far there doesn't appear to be a focus builder.
No, but while using MB youre pooling focus. If this is an issue we may make RS a builder, either baseline or talented, but so far it works well.
Question re Survivals well... survival. Hunter defenses have always been based around not getting hit- as a melee class thats not gonna be a viable option. What sort of defences utilities are we gonna see to offset that?
If survivability during combat is an issue we will resolve it with some form of passive. Unsure if thats actually necessary yet, they have a lot of cc and pet based mitigation.

I'm a little sad to see it (Raptor Strike) back, actually. I always thought it wasn't a particularly flavorful name. That said, if we have an opportunity to "replace" it with talented version(s) that are slightly different, that would make me more than happy (and hopefully add some interesting choices). Maybe something wolf-themed to go with that kick-ass artifact spear?
if we werent able to make it feel unique we wouldnt have pulled the trigger on it. Traps and pets help alot.

Will Survival be getting an interrupt?
Of course.
I assume it will be a short cooldown one like most other melee, and not 20+ seconds like most ranged interrupts.

Can you make it originate from 30 yards away and have a travel time? I want to stay off of interrupt rotations :)

Does the MM mastery still have the condition of standing still or is it just a passive bonus now?
No more standing still requirement. Trade off though is you have to stand still while casting aimed shot. Fits the fantasy better.
Since MM seems to be supposed to be the spec for the fans of the old SV spec I think there should also be an option to include the mobile feeling of it.
Probably, think lock and load combined with aimed shot.

Love it - any word on MM utility without a pet like Roar or Master's call? Passive heals etc. has this been figured out or still in the works?
Snares are an integral part of your rotation now. If survivability in the wild is an issue we will address it, but i want you to feel very high risk/high reward.

With some of these old abilities coming back, any chance for Eyes of the Beast? The one that the hunter channeled to control their pet and use its abilities for ~1 minute?
I can look into it, from an engineering standpoint it was a total mess and really broken. If we can re-engineer it safely then maybe, but no promises.

EDIT: Looks like the mana saber family are going to be spirit beasts and also a moose! No news on a quest line to get a hunter pet similar to the way Gara was obtained. I am also very excited that hunter pets you have to track to find are being brought back. So far two mechanical dogs have been found -

Any word about if they are going to add quivers back to each model? That's the one thing I hate about playing as my hunter. I pull arrows from thin air.

Anyone notice the description on the "hunter's mark" on the marksman abilities. Obviously that is not right. Is that a hint to a survival AoE? or is there another skill in-game by an npc or something with that ability/description?

Enjoying all the info and organization but damn, I really kind of wish they'd give us exotic munitions as a baseline ability for all ranged specs (maybe rename it for survival so it sounds like some kind of weapon oil?). Outside of the fun flavor of "changing" the color of our base shots, it should just be a standard theme - it's not worth a talent spot in it's current form, as much as I enjoy using it for grinding and even PvP. If it applied to ALL our shots it might be better.
Also - RIP Kill Shot. I will miss you immensely.

I only play my hunter with the Marksmanship specialization. I have one with Lone Wolf to go in Raids and Dungeons and another one with Exotic Munitions to do quests or just to farm. Of course, I use my pets with the second one.
I'm really disappointed about the Marksmanship specialization changes. Why these changes? Seriously, this specialization was awesome. Blizzard is destroying it. I don't want to play another specialization than Marksmanship...

Anyone on the alpha tried to transmog the artifact weapons? I don't see any information about that but would be the only saving grace for being limited to that ugly gun for BM hunters. As it is now I xmoged my crafted gun to a bow, they just look better, not a single gun in the game that looks good.

So, why exactly is Chimaera Shot being moved to talents for BM? Last I heard Blizzard wanted Marksmanship to be a deadly sniper, so I would think that they would want Chimaera Shot in order for MM to be a deadly sniper. I will miss Chimaera Shot as a Marksmanship hunter.

When I think of a Marksman\Sniper I think of high powered rifles\scopes, when I think of a Beast Master, I think of the animals and a silent weapon like a bow. Rifles and guns hurt animals ears. I know it is a fantasy game, but Blizzard I think you got it wrong this time.

As marksman, yes I took lone wolf for doing things with groups.. raids, dungeons, etc., but when I am questing alone I use my pet. Spirit Bond has saved my life many times. I can't tame/use exotic pets and that kind of sucks, but I get it and accept it. These changes Blizz is talking about making are crazy. Melee for a hunter? Come on.. Even back in the stone age they figured out quickly to sharpen a stick and throw it rather than try to catch something that runs double your own speed. Traps? Sure. But we have traps now that are used for the barn and we have to get them below a percentage of health to trap them, which has to be done without a pet or they would go on and kill it if not put on passive.
Bottom line.. this has all got me thinking about getting a refund for Legion and finding another game. As much as I wanted to level a demon hunter, my MM Hunter is my main and Blizz is ruining us.

Quick question, does marked shot clear hunters mark, or can I squeeze in multiple marked shots on a single hunters mark if I have the focus?

Wow...I feel like I'm going to have a lot of open space on my action bars since it seems like they're getting rid of some of the major spells. Ice trap, I miss you already...I guess I'd better go tame the beasts I want now with you, rather than have to do something wonky later on.
Also missing already as a BM hunter: Tranq Shot, Deterrence, Camouflage, and Steady Shot. What am I supposed to use now as emergency damage mitigation and instances where a mob is enraged and no one's doing anything about it? Camo's useful in PVP for avoiding rogues and Steady Shot made the whole "moving while shooting" a momentous experience. /sigh
I am NOT sad to see Aspect of the Pack gone. Too many times I've seen a &*!@#$% use it and leave it on in LFRs and LFGs, much to the annoyance of every other responsible hunter in the group. =( I will slightly miss the speed boost it gives to the slower members of my parties.
If they get rid Frenzy, Cobra Strikes, Invigoration, and Animal Handler, aren't they basically just nerfing the damage that pets do, therefore making the BM hunter less effective? What's the point? Are we getting a buff elsewhere, like in Dire Beast damage or something? I know they're shifting focus so that BM hunters are more pet reliant, but I don't want my ranged damage so crippled that having a weapon is basically pointless...I like the thought of my draenei hunter going out with her spirit beast and gun or bow and taking down problem targets with surgical precision. I heal my spirit beast, she heals me; I tell her to kill a thing and not that other thing, and we're golden. I just don't want to be left standing there and pointing at things to kill like a lazy jerk and not lifting a finger to help. That's not what you would call a partnership.
I am a little worried about Dire Beast...it sounds like that's going to be the new focus regen, which is sort of already a problem if you don't have the gear to make the haste levels you need, which is where Focus Fire helped out. Oh, yeesh, how is this going to affect haste plateaus? /sigh Besides that, if you figure that a hunter is going to be continually summoning a beastie every 10 seconds, won't that amount to a potentially very large mass of beasties in a long fight on a raid boss with multiple hunters in the group? That makes me wonder about things like lag and whether or not people are going to be able to select mobs or people within the pile easily (I don't use Dire Beast now, so I'm not really familiar with the mechanics of it as it currently stands)...and I already feel sorry for gnome, dwarf, and goblin tanks and rogues, getting lost in the crowd, and the healers that have to find them. I feel like I should be apologizing in advance. T_T
On the gun vs. bow argument, when transmog came out, I ran with

...I swap between the two, now, but I rather prefer bows for the look. I don't have an issue with the gun noises, since I have an addon that changes the sound. Most guns are really ugly (who pastes blades to guns anyway?) and it's unfortunate that we're going to be stuck with one or the other. Polearms for survival hunters seems kind of silly, since I've always like the dual wielding of swords or axes, mostly for the look, but the animations are nicer, too.

BM is my favorite spec and has been since tbc im liking most of the changes but no traps? Seriously? what are you guys doing to hunters? bad enough you're making Master's call survival only on top of removing Camo. Please don't make traps a survival only thing this is a horrible Idea. I don't have a huge list of reasons why right now but If I need to make one I will. already disappointed with legion... :/

Feeling kind of torn about the changes that are coming to the MM hunters. As my main, my MM hunter has many hours behind her, more without a pet than with, so I don't expect to miss that part much. As a matter of fact I got so bored with pets I would only attempt to tame named 'boss' type pets. I will miss Chimera Shot as it is my typical open for any mob, and drops many with a single hit.
My primary concern is that I will typically use Dire Beast to offset aggro and add damage if in a fight with multiple mobs or a higher strength opponent. But, guess I will have to learn new tricks.

So lets see. I main a BM Hunter.
I'm losing traps, kill shot, aspect of the cheetah, camouflage & a whole heap of things.
Also one of the most visually fun abilities we have Stampede now loses much of it's appeal.
Pretty much our entire fun & comfortable rotation is being dumped & replace with...nothing by the look of it.
Are we actually getting anything? Or is Blizzard just taking all our toys away to make the other specs look better?
People joke about hunters being a two-button spec. But with everything gone it seems like that joke will be a reality.
I am a very worried & annoyed Beast Master Hunter.

Has anyone heard (or seen on Beta) what is happening with pets? I heard raid buffs are gone so that will get rid of most pets ability - Id like to see the pets being given a unique damage ability each rather than just utility.
I think I read somewhere that they wanted BM to micro manage their pets more but if they are leaving them as they are than I dont see the point. There is a lot they could do with pet abilities especially for BM pets.
Also I agree with people about BM's gun, its the artifact I like the least in all the classes and I dont think it fits BM at all. I will be tranmogging it to a bow.

im so appalled by how they choose to dumb down everything. this is ending up like a frickin fbook game. and why change things that was working really well? i want a fricking refund on my legion. mm without chim shot- wet noodle aim shots? FAIL! but then... blizzard never gave a crap about feedback anyway i guess... time to find something else to do

Why are they removing Iron Hawk, Steady Focus, and Adaptation? Those are useful bread and butter talents. Blizzard, stop with the class changing nonsense. You guys keep butchering classes each expansion. Just stop it already!

I read this post with horror. I feel like Blizzard has just killed my main.
My main has been a BM Hunter since Vanilla.
I cannot tell you how disappointed and sad these changes make me, far more than any in the past.
My main issue? Spirit Bond - Gone. No regen/self healing, so our ability to go and do things on our own is massively curtailed. And I don't care about the people who will criticise me for wanting to play solo in an MMO. That is my choice and is as valid as anyone elses.
"Downtime is now a fact of life for Beast Mastery".... Wow.... thats going to make things ultra fun! =(
Oh, and Survival Hunter is now melee.... because there is a shortage of melee classes in the game I presume?

On the Markmanship Guide it says " Arcane Shot has replaced Cobra Shot as our core focus generating ability."
Last time I checked, as a Hunter main, MM does not use Cobra Shot as their generation ability. They use Steady shot. Don't confuse people.

I went to my routine weekly run in ToT, only to realize that hunter was crippled - yes, that is the correct word.
I play strictly MM, and only swap few talents and glyphs in order to do the Horridon and Ji-Kun, before go back to my garrison. Today, (21th July, 2016) on my very first run after the patch, I was literally obliterated by Jin'rokh the Breaker. And I was doing Beast Mastery. On NORMAL. 10 man!
In pre-patch, for me it was a walk in the park, since my pet (turtle, tank) hold the aggro of all and everything I threw at it. Now, even tho I spam Misdirection, I re-gain aggro only after 3~4 AUTO-FRIKEN-SHOTS.
A question appears: WHY do hunters should use a "tank" pet, when it can't "tank" at all?

I'm not sure how this never got mentioned, but several of our pet-unique abilities (specifically the passive buffs) are gone, in many cases leaving our pets severely handicapped. I can understand this being part of removing raid-wide buffs, but there is no reason this couldn't instead be limited to a hunter-and-pet only buff, or at least replaced with something to maintain the pet's utility.
This change is especially glaring in the case of pets, such as Spore Bats, which have no unique ability (anymore) aside from the passive buff they granted the hunter. I bring up the Spore Bat in particular, since it used to have a unique ability which placed down a cloud of spores; this was removed, and replaced with a raid-wide haste buff. So the raid-wide buff was removed, but nothing was put in its place, leaving the Spore Bat with absolutely no unique/useful ability... aside from it's rather soothing appearance.
Another example would be the Dragon Hawk: fire-breathing was removed, replaced with raid-wide multistrike buff, and then the raid-wide buff was removed, but was not replaced with anything else, which results in a somewhat neutered pet. And the goats: no more +stamina, but nothing to replaced the buff they removed.
There are many other examples, but does anyone know if Blizz intends to remedy this issue? Quite a few of my pets feel like comparatively useless cosmetic choices...
EDIT: Also, pet talent specializations are no longer unique to the pet. That is to say, you can't set one pet to Tenacity, another one to cunning, and then switch between the two as the situation demands. ALL pets will share the same specialization. Example: if I set my scorpion to Tenacity, dismiss him, summon my bird, and set the bird to Cunning, then dismiss the bird, I would expect my scorpion to still be set to Tenacity. However, if I summon said scorpion, I will find he's set to Cunning instead! So now, you can only choose one talent specialization for ALL your pets.
I'm not sure if that's a recent change or not, but it's bothersome nonetheless...

For me, I am liking Survival Hunter Specialization :} Its not half bad, and you can do up to 28,000 damage per second on a target dummy... we shall see... Overall I love Blizzard Entertainment games, so I am not going anywhere anytime soon :}

What happened to my "Growl"? It is NOT in my spellbook anywhere! Yet when I go into dungeons, they tell me to turn it off or I get kicked cuz it's on! HOW do I turn it off when I can't frigging find it?
Don't tell me to look again, I have had 3 (three) people look after I did and they too could NOT find it either.

I've been looking around on Wowhead but I haven't seen it mentioned... there have been major loot changes for hunters in regard to pet tagging low level kills.
Used to be that if a pet were to kill a low level NPC without being tagged specifically by the hunter him/herself, you'd lose the loot.
VERY frustrating in a low level dungeon if you clicked on something that produced an NPC that would aggro, and you'd need loot to complete a quest or for a mog, or a battle pet, etc, and if you were in melee range, your pet would kill the NPC, yep, no loot.
Today I was in Vashj'ir, trying to complete loremaster for cata, and realized that I was getting loot from mobs/npcs that my pet was killing on its own. Not only that, but the fetch feature was working for the pet to retrieve its own loot off the npcs/mobs it killed by itself. VERY nice.
Like I said, major change, I might have missed it being talked about, I've put in bunches of requests to blizz to please make this happen, so glad they finally did. The idea that "gold farmers and others will take advantage of being AFK while pet kills things" is a worn out argument that does not stand up any longer. Very glad to see blizz realizing that and making the changes. Bravo.

Alright, I did done played all spec on each races for Legion and I haven't play on Alliance yet. I found best races for wise and legendary on Horde that do all specs into both PvE/PvP. It's just feeling to be topping the dmg, bursting hard and more killing blows by each races.
Orc:
BM is the top spec for PvE/PvP and they're handle well with MM/SV. Add Blood Fury into Burst Macros.
Troll:
MM is the top spec for PvE/PvP because of speed kills with those Berserk. They're pretty good with BM and also having issue with SV for Berserk.
Tauren:
On BM/SV spec, they're pretty good for PvE/PvP but just small issue into PvPs and then you're better stay close to healers. (ofc, he is big and early be target). Never, never, ever use MM into PvPs and because you'll get yourself roadkilled by enemies. So better off to stay PvE for MM if their is low healer population on Horde for PvPs.
Undead:
Not so bad on all specs, handle well for PvE/PvP, extra Fears Breaker for PvPs and also extra Dot/HoT by TotG.
Blood Elf:
Oh my God! Epic to be SV that have 2 chances to do 2xMB into 3sec silenced. You just do interrupt then dump MB. Also You'll need to create macros for that Arcane Torrent with Snake Hunter because of same cd and use it for during burst, and then to finish off by FS after dumped MB and FotE. Other 2 specs, They're pretty good and at least if you're brave enough to get close to enemies then use AT. So all specs for PvE, They're just fine and balanced.
Goblin:
They're close to Troll's MM for PvE/PvP. They have Rocket Jump for extra escape as MM/BM and gap closer for SV. They'll never use Rocket Launcher into PvPs and only just for PvEs. They're handle well on all specs into PvE/PvP.
Panda:
Poor for SV PvP and but handle well on BM/MM spec into PvPs for Sleep ability to other target. They're pretty good on all specs for PvE and just about same as Tauren on PvE.
So all that come into my mind and which Horde races are better to handle for doing BOTH PvE/PvP. There is only 3 races that are good. So Imo...
Orc is so far superior to be Hunter. I'm sure Blood Elf passed Goblin and close to Troll for PvE. Troll is really having issue with SV spec for not known what to do with Berserk and then Undead or Goblin will step up for PvPs. Tauren are in big trouble with PvPs but if you chose female then you'll be fine and as long as stay close to your healers. Panda is seem to be behind Tauren for PvPs and so they do well for PvE/PvP.
So for the answer is Orc>BE>UD for doing PvE/PvP.

At the top of this article is a picture of a surly dwarf loading a gun. Someone should tell that idiot that what he has there is a blunderbuss and the rifle bullet he's trying to put in it is less than useless. It won't work, that huge opening is too big, the bullet, even if it fires without blowing the thing up, will fly out at about 30 degrees and not hit a barn door. He needs something like a shotgun cartridge.
