is a replayable endgame instanced feature introduced in
Shadowlands
. Arms Warrior players looking to improve their characters will be spending a great deal of time here; Torghast is one of the best sources for

Arms Warrior Strengths and Weaknesses in Torghast
Arms Warriors are very capable in Torghast, thanks to their very strong two-target cleave, numerous defensive cooldowns, and high mobility, they are able to deal with a multitude of threats with little to no issue. As a DPS, you would think survivability is the biggest weakness, although there are a lot of strong defensive anima powers which make up for this - really the only problem Warriors face is tedium, as they generally take a bit longer to kill things than other classes, but do so from relative safety.
Arms has a slightly harder time than Fury due to less innate healing and less multitarget damage, although the specialization has an easier time locking down enemies and higher single target damage due to no cooldown on Execute/Condemn. That said, non-Venthyr Arms Warriors will find the activity
significantly
more challenging at higher layers due to not being able to abuse the constant knockdown from

Navigating the Twisting Corridors as an Arms Warrior
The Twisting Corridors is a longer, harder version of Torghast which requires going through 18 floors with three bosses per layer, increasing in difficulty over 8 layers. Because of the massive increase to enemy health and damage, survivability becomes far more important than dealing damage, but Warriors have several powers which do just that. With the right combination of powers, Twisting Corridors is actually fairly easy for Warriors, and while you do have to deal with some RNG, the activity is long enough that you will typically find everything you want, and end up with over 100 powers by the end of a run.
Title and mount rewards for clearing layer 6 and 8 respectively.
Must Have Anima Powers
Increasing maximum health is a must to avoid getting one shot in later floors and layers.

is incredibly good, as you will quite easily kill enough Mawrats to max it out, and taking

whenever possible will help increase it further. Aim for around 100k HP for layer 8, but pushing upwards 200k is even better, since your self healing is a percentage of your maximum health.
Permanent

is achievable with a variety of powers, but due to the length of Twisting Corridor runs, one

will get you there pretty easily by about the halfway point. The power stacks though, so if you're not getting enough

, you can take a second Unbound Fortitude or

to reach 100% uptime sooner, but there's no extra benefit beyond the duration outlasting the cooldown, so the latter is kind of a waste if it comes at the expense of a better power. Combining

is another option, but again, not really needed since Unbound will get you there anyway.

is the primary means of scaling damage, especially for Venthyr, as

, which works as a pseudo-stun with no diminishing returns, allowing you to chain interrupt bosses. This combination is arguably the
most important tool
for success in Torghast; although you can succeed with out it, it will be much harder, and non-Venthyr will need to put much more emphasis on other defensive powers to make up for it.

isn't mandatory, but adds up to a significant amount of extra phantasma (and thereby anima powers) due to the length of Twisting Corridors. Because some crucial powers, such as

are sold at the vendor, it's definitely worth getting at least one stack early and using Victory Rush on cooldown, even if you don't need the healing.
Scaling Damage
Warriors don't scale damage as well as other classes, but that's not really a problem when you can't die. Still, you don't want the run to take longer than it has to, and shorter encounters means less time to make mistakes, so increasing damage remains important. By floor 13, you should aim for a minimum of

is easily the best damage power, and is pretty easy to get, since mid-run bosses (floors 6 and 12) will always offer epic class-specific powers (and the others are underwhelming).

works exactly like the legendary effect, but actually stacks with it, so that you can get two procs every time you use a major cooldown. This means casing Avatar can proc Bladestorm which then procs Recklessness, giving you all three buffs, or your procced Bladestorm might proc Avatar again, extending the duration of the buff. When combined with

you can easily end up with 100% uptime on your primary cooldown.
Increasing critical strike and mastery are the best ways of scaling damage, and the Elethium Anima Powers do that very well with near meaningless drawbacks.

are all great picks, as Warriors predominantly deal one type of damage (physical, or shadow if Venthyr). However, you should avoid

are all very good damage enhancements, but are only available from rare elite mobs which only spawn in certain tilesets.
勇士敕令
is the only real burst option for Warriors and can be combined with other sources of increased damage taken to deal several million damage in a single hit, but it takes a lot of work to get there and is best saved for bursting down bosses (on floor 6, 12, and 18). Although the huge hit can be very satisfying, it really isn't necessary either, since your success in Torghast is more about becoming immortal rather than killing things before they can kill you, and that time spent setting up your big burst is generally better spent spamming knockdown on the enemy, so it's not something you really need to invest in. That said, non-Venthyr may put more emphasis on this strategy, so if you are using it, take care to ensure you're not casting Slam (or Whirlwind with Fervor talented) and accidentally wasting the effect.

deals great damage and is definitely worth picking up, but it doesn't work on bosses (floor 6, 12, and 18), making it more about the extra anima power than the damage itself. Nice for deleting floor guardians or particularly troublesome elites, but bosses are the real challenge and this power doesn't help with them.

is decent, but not particularly amazing due to
刺耳怒吼
's cooldown being much longer than the duration of the effect.

is a necessary power due to the rage cost of sustaining Execute/Condemn every GCD with

, although you can handicap it with Recklessness procs from Signet (legendary, power, or both).

are decent fallbacks and synergize well with each other when using
长剑爱好者
, but the vast majority of your damage comes from Execute/Condemn, so don't take them over more important powers.
Extra Survivability
Health, Die by the Sword uptime, and Condemn knockdown (as Venthyr) are the most important defensive tools, but there are several other strong options to help layer your defense, which are especially important if you're not a member of the Venthyr covenant and won't have access to perma-knockdown. You should ideally aim for ~100k health by floor 13 to avoid potential one-shot situations, but your mileage may vary.

is pretty self explanatory and nothing in Torghast is stun-immune, just be careful not to push the enemy into other packs, because the knockback has a very long range.

is a nice, because you don't want to waste rage on Ignore Pain over more important abilities. Also works well alongside

, but you should have 100% cooldown uptime without it.

will help shore up self healing any time damage gets through DbtS and Condemn knockdown, and actually works quite well alongside

is another option which will also help shore up your self healing, particularly in multitarget situations, but isn't something you want to rely on, since you'd rather be spamming Execute/Condemn.

can be stacked along with

for a decent amount of extra passive healing, but the real prize is extending the duration over 1 minute to provide total immunity to fear.
啸翼之壶
also interrupts enemies, but it has a short debuff cooldown, making it a worse version of Pridebreakers. Definitely worth picking up just to help corral extra casters, but nearly as reliable as spamming knockdown.

provides an extra ~15-20% physical damage reduction, but shouldn't be needed due to permanent Die by the Sword negating the majority of physical damage. Spellcasters are far more dangerous at higher floors, but combining

will make them much more manageable.
Solo Arms Warrior in Torghast
Arms Warriors are very straightforward - kill things before they kill you.

allows chain killing mobs for sustain, while

handles periodic larger pulls. The biggest issue is in surviving large pulls, though by taking advantage of fleeing enemies like Mawrats to always have a target ready to kill for Victory Rush resets, while

help survive the more dangerous pulls.
Group Delving
Gameplay does not change very much in group play, aside from the fact that you will generally be able to play a little more aggressively when paired with a tank and/or healer. Defensive anima powers and those which only apply to you will naturally lose value, while others which apply to the entire party will gain, but your role remains the same - to deal as much damage as possible and kill the enemy before they kill you.
Best Torghast Arms Warrior Talents
The build you will be using in Torghast is similar to that normally used in Mythic+, though there is a lot of leeway to change based on preference or how difficult you find the activity to be. Really, the most important talent is
悍勇无畏
, though there's also a strong case to be made for pairing
愤怒掌控
and
灭战者
, or even chaining packs with
间接伤害
. Ultimately, most of the talents can be interchanged more or less as you see fit, though this build represents the easiest starting point.
Six anima powers also grant the following talents, allowing you their effect as well as another talent on that row. They aren't all worth taking, but grant decent bonuses if there's no better anima power on offer.

- the other talents are fairly useful, but neither really stand out as a must have, due to increased rage generation being easy to come by in Torghast.

Covenant-Specific Information for Arms Warriors in Torghast
Kyrian
Kyrian Arms Warrior anima powers interact with
晋升堡垒之矛
, and while a few of them are strong, most are rather underwhelming.

interestingly doesn't benefit the damage of
晋升堡垒之矛
itself, but is fantastic when followed up with
剑刃风暴
, making it the best power of the bunch.
极乐护肩
does the exact same thing as
碎石者玺戒
, slightly faster, but without the additional tether time.

isn't bad, since any emergency where you're using the
静谧之瓶
is also likely to benefit from an extra burst of damage, but not nearly as good as other options.
永恒矛头
is fantastic if it can be stacked up early, more than doubling the damage of
晋升堡垒之矛
when fully stacked up.
碎石者玺戒
contributes rough ~25% increased damage which isn't particularly powerful, but also increases the duration of the tether. Strictly speaking though, you probably won't be kiting very often, so that isn't overly useful and this is a power that won't be picked frequently.
Necrolord
Necrolords have some interesting powers, but their main failing is that
征服者战旗
just isn't very strong in the first place, particularly due to how quickly enemy packs die in Torghast.
仇恨战旗
plays to the banner's main strength - throwing it down when facing a particularly strong enemy, as the extra leech can help you stay alive, and the anti crowd control can be very useful (if somewhat niche) against certain rare mobs.
斥敌旌旗
has some AoE potential, but you don't really gain Glory fast enough for it to amount to a serious amount of damage unless utterly swarmed by enemies, in which case you're probably dead or the enemies themselves are trivial anyway.
肌腱流苏
also not bad, but not particularly great either, although it is slightly better for well coordinated groups.
Night Fae
Night Fae have a couple very good direct damage powers, but not much in the way of interest or subterfuge.
活木柄头
is fantastic, because while it doesn't have a very high proc rate (1RPPM), it causes extra AoE damage and rage generation, both of which are great in Torghast.
增生触媒
is another great power, though the effect is so straightforward, it barely requires mentioning.
石化灵种
is underwhelming, due to how many cooldown-based attacks Arms has - even with thoughtful gameplay, you're more likely to reduce the cooldown of
嗜血
than
鲁莽
Venthyr
Despite bringing the weakest multitarget covenant ability, Venthyr have some of the best powers from both an offensive and defensive standpoint - especially when combined with
贪婪剪除之刃
.

is a almost a must-have, as the knockdown has no diminshing returns, interrupts spellcasting, works on bosses, and generally offers a large survivability boost.

doesn't sound like much, but stacks up damage up very quickly, considering how common of a power it is.

is fairly weak, because while it
can
proc on high health targets, non-elites are hardly the most concerning targets in the zone; most of them will be cleaved down passively regardless.
Best Anima Power Builds for Arms Warriors
While it's difficult to rely on getting enough of the right powers to create any kind of "build", certain powers do offer strong interaction with one another, and are worth keeping an eye out for in case you happen to come across them.
Permanent Die by the Sword
There are actually a couple ways to achieve permanent uptime on your major defensive cooldown, which constitutes the most important defensive and survivability boost available within Torghast, outside of simply increasing health to ridiculous proportions. Even if you don't get up to 100% uptime, just getting it high enough will render you functionally immortal, trivializing the instance, regardless of how strong your damage is.

is probably the single most powerful defensive bonus, since it's so easy to scale (and can be taken multiple times).

works great in combination with it, but also isn't really needed if you get enough
灵魂残迹的祝福
.
胡诌颅骨
combined with
利刃壁垒
is a passive combination that doesn't ever require you to actually spend rage on
无视苦痛
. While these two powers alone won't grant complete coverage, increasing the cooldown's duration with
不羁坚韧
will.
Permanent Offensive Cooldowns
The inverse of the above, it's also very easy to attain unreasonably high uptime on Recklessness, Bladestorm, and Avatar. While not quite as useful as never dying, the extra damage output certainly makes it easier to complete Torghast quickly.
佐瓦尔的战旗
is the star of the show, capable of holding its own without any other powers. That said, combining it with either the anima power
痛苦之王的印章
or the legendary
痛苦之王的印章
, makes it that much easier and can allow you to have an obscenely high uptime on all offensive cooldowns. Interestingly, the two signet abilities stack, so that casting Bladestorm can proc both Recklessness and Avatar, or proc one of the buffs twice for even greater uptime. When combined with Zovaal's Warbanner, the duration can easily reach to multiple minutes long.
Whirlwind Healing
Several powers enhance Whirlwind, though it's hard to call them a "build", as you need several of each in order to really feel any practical impact.
飓风核心
grants healing, but the rather low damage of Whirlwind prohibits it from contributing a significant amount of self-sustain, though that can be accounted for in a number of ways;
血污砥石
grants more healing due to increasing the damage done, and
长剑爱好者
will always cast a free Whirlwind after stacked three times. Ultimately though, because you need several of each power to amount to anything, it's something you happen to get, rather than something you set out to find.

-Voracious Culling Blade Execute's damage is increased by 100%. Casting Execute 30 times allows you to use it at any time, regardless of the target's health.
If you can get this in one of the early floors combined with the knockdown effect you can just laugh bosses in the face and enjoy the 50k (or more with a few +25% dmg increase power) condemn spams.

Anima power combinations count, luck is everything, maybe you'll get the Voracious Culling Blade and infinite Die By the Sword -yet, slot

Arms TC basically plays itself. I was able to clear TC 8 with my Covenant campaign geared Ventyr warrior, ilvl 190.
Just for fun I removed all my skills from my bars except:
- Charge
- Heroic Leap
- Piercing Howl (for the 90% damage debuff)
- Avatar
- Sweeping Strikes
- Warbreaker (Collosus Smash)
- Condemn
- Ignore Pain
- Die By The Sword (not really required as it got passively applied by Ignore Pain and ran for 8 minutes each time)
Last boss did not even hit me once while spamming Condemn every GC.
Edit: To elaborate a bit: Arms has so many powers that synergise very well with each other. Many of them have been mentioned in the guide or in the comments.
For offense:
Everything that buffs Condemn is king. In fact, these powers are so good that you don't need any other offense powers
or even any other attack skills
at all. Why would you want to buff or even use your Mortal Strike when you can use Condemn instead, which costs the same, will always hit harder (and deals Shadow damage instead of Physical) and has no cooldown?

alone is already awesome but paired with
破傲者铁砧
you will stunlock every single enemy out there while dealing immense amounts of damage. And it will get even better with every
扭曲的绞索
you will get. Of course, you will need lots of rage to do this, so also take as much

as you can get. After the third one you should get enough rage for a healthy Condemn spam. Skilling into

also helps a lot. Also pick up the

conduit. You will always have the full 8 stacks for extra crit chance.
An alternative to Condemn spam but harder to pull off would be

, especially with 9.0.5 when Fan of Longswords gets buffed to always cast Whirlwind. So Mortal Strike, Whirlwind AND Slam all at once? Sounds like lots of fun! Add in

I must admit that I have never tried this setup, so I don't know if the Whirlwind from Fan of Longswords will trigger the Slam from Fervor of Battle... but it would be lame if it won't! Also, I don't think that even MS, WW and Slam together will match the damage of a fully buffed Condemn - but who knows, whould be cool to try this once.
Another great combo is

. The best shout for this is

, so you can stop going for Singing Stones, once you have it buffed. Piercing Howl's duration will then be 48 seconds while on a 30 second CD, so it's basically a permanent 90% damage buff to everyone around you. It will also work with

but the duration will only be 30 seconds on a 4 min CD.
You can only buff each shout once, so be careful to not take after you have Piercing Howl, Challenging Shout and Rallying Cry buffed. I took it a fourth time and it buffed Demoralizing Shout which actually made me check my spellbook twice to see if I somehow missed it all the time.. but no. I then spammed Battle Shout on CD for some time to see if it might get procced from
幽影助听筒
but no luck..
佐瓦尔的战旗
is great but opposed to the recommendation from this guide I did not take
痛苦之王的印章
. Of course this is a great power with awesome burst. Recklessness together with Avatar is awesome but Bladestorm is useless here. So if you take it, you should macro Avatar together with /cancelaura Bladestorm and also macro bladestorm together with /cancelaura bladestorm (if this is even possible?) for more Avatar/Recklessness uptime.
For defense:
You will rely on

and

and again as mentioned here there so many powers which work perfectly together.
The best power here is
不羁坚韧
. Once you have the first one, you are basically done with this run and in your mind you can already plan the next layer.. Obviously you need every Soul Remnant Blessing you can get and if you are offered
灵魂馈赠
, then take it. Ultimately, the goal is to have Die by the Sword last longer than the CD and you will get there sooner or later, either by more applications of
不羁坚韧
or by picking up Soul Remnants along the way. There are more than enough on your way to floor 18.
督军的决心
is nice to have, especially early on but you will rarely cast Die by the Sword yourself - it will be applied passively by
利刃壁垒
. From my experience, once you have a DbtS duration of 40 seconds, it will never fall off if you cast Ignore Pain on CD. Also, as others have mentioned here, the
野蛮活力
conduit works great here, especially together with
多汁肉片
. Due to the massive Condemn damage, Ignore Pain should always last the whole duration, even when under heavy spellfire.
Even with permanent DbtS and Ignore Pain uptime, you should get as much health as possible, especially as
多汁肉片
makes Ignore Pain scale from your HP. Killing rares often gives
奥伯勒隆之耐
x3, so always take it, as the alternatives from them are mostly sub-par anyway.
秘制香料
might be your biggest health contributor, even if can't get the maximum of 50 rat kills anymore.
Regarding stats in general my choice would be Stamina > Crit >> Vers >>> Haste >>>>>>>>>>>> Mastery. Mastery is useless. The damage from Deep Wounds is neglectable and Condemn does not even proc it at all..
Another good combination for your defense is
歌石
buffing

together with
幽影助听筒
and
英姿勃发
conduit. Rallying Cry will now have a 1 minute duration (+ the conduit) and if you cast Battle Shout before your next battle and/or Piercing Howl during the fight you can achive a very high uptime. This is nothing you should aim for or rely on because in the end there is too much randomness involved but you might get everything along the way anyway, so why not use it.
Others:
IMHO, one of the best powers is actually
贪婪命令
. If you have the chance to get it early then take it! You can never have enough Phantasma (OK, actually you can.. After killing the final Boss on floor 18 I had 6K left while buying every power available from floor 9 onwards). If the vendor on floor 3 sells it and don't have it yet, buy it - even when not having much Phantasma to spare. You can check if this floor contains any ashen phylacteries. If so, switch to Impending Victory and take your time to Victory Rush all of them, so you can get back the Phantasma you spend. There is this one vendor floor - I think in Soul Forges - which contains one large open area with the vendor on the right hand side. Sometimes the area is filled with those constructs which spawn infinitive Skelettal Remains. If this is the case for you then jackpot!
Needless to say,
贪婪命令
works great together with
凹痕斧缘
but should not be combined with
溅血便鞋
. You want to Victory Rush every rat you can find.
Finally some general advises
(coming from an ilvl 190 Warrior, might not be as relevant for better gear):
Upon entering, first check the debuff. If it is fire damage every 5 seconds, then leave immediately because this means that you will never trigger Second Wind, which was cruicial for me on the first two floors (or until your defensive powers kick in)
First priority is to get Condemn buffed, so restart until you get

.

is also OK but

is preferred.
Don't be afrait to revisit your talent choices on every third floor. Most important in the beginning is to get as much Condemns off as possible, so I went for Sudden Death and Massacre. Once you have

up and running the third row becomes more or less useless. You can pick Rend for the extra crit damage but most of the time I forgot to apply it anyway. Once you have a few

, replace Sudden Death with War Machine.
As mentioned, on the first floors I needed Second Wind for survival. Sometimes for bosses or elites/rares I needed to cast Intimidating Shout or Piercing Howl and leap away to heal back to 100% and continue with the fight. Later there is no need for Second Wind anymore, so replace with Bounding Strike, which of course works very well with
阴燃惯性
, should you get it.
Also, as already mentiond, it might be worth to replace Double Time with Impending Victory for some time after getting your hands on your first
