The Class Hall Gold Guide
WoW offers many ways to make gold. From farming mats to crafting needed items, end even careful buying and selling of materials from the Auction House. Most of those require daily effort and in some cases much luck of the market to get the most out of your effort. This guide offers a different approach.
Your class hall(s) provides a unique opportunity to make gold. With an initial investment of time you can reap great rewards on a an almost daily basis with very little work. Note: There IS the intial investment of time (but not necessarily gold) to start making gold from your class hall(s).
Whether you have just one toon, or better yet many, this guild will walk help you turn your class hall(s) into gold making machines.
If you are planning on making new toon(s) from scratch, I recommend you look at the info I provide on each class as to its pros/cons. If you are working from an existing toon, you may jump ahead to the proper phase of your toon's 'career'.
Please be advised that I am assuming you have a basic understanding of missions and followers. A grasp of threats and counters, follower item levels (ilvl) and equipment is needed to the the most out of this guide. There are many valuable resources on wowhead to get you started on that.
Good luck, and good gold!
Classes - from 'best' to 'worst' (approxminatly)
Not all classes are created equal when it comes to making gold. Some toons can order up gear for their minions. Some can get free resources from world quests. Some need many dungeon runs to complete their class campaigns, some just a few. Some can get to/from their class halls real quick (and one is a real dog). Here I detail the pros and cons of each class.
Demon Hunter
Demon hunters are by far the best class to make from scratch for the purpose of mission gold. They start at 98, so you avoid tons of leveling.
Sadly you can only have ONE per realm so you can't have an army of DHs all on one realm cranking out gold for you. Note: This is ONE per realm, not ONE per linked realms. So if you are on linked realms, you can combine gold from more than one DH.
Pros:
Can place work orders for follower gear. Can auto-complete one World Quest per day (free resources). Class hall is quick and easy to get around in for daily stuff. Class is (imo) very easy to play.
Cons:
No quick access to/from class hall. Class campaign requires many DGs about 6 runs total.
Death Knight
Death Knights are the second fastest class to level up to class hall gold production. Starting out at level 58 avoids a good chunk of levelup time. They are also (imo) a fairly easy class to tank, so a good portion of the levelup can be done by fast Que time in dgs. If you are REALLY into making a PURE GOLD FACTORY you will want to crank out a bunch of DKs all on the same realm or linked realms. There is no limit to the number of DKs you can have on a realm.
Pros:
Super easy death gate access to/from class hall. Can place work orders for follower gear. Can auto-complete one World Quest per day (free resources). Class hall is quick and easy to get around in for daily stuff.
Cons:
Class campaign is very DG heavy 5 total.
Mage
Mages are a very good 'skwishie' class for making Class Hall Gold. There portal/teleports make them popular during the leveling process. And they continue to shine for ease of getting around throughout legion.
Pros:
Very easy access TO class hall. Good access FROM class hall. Can place work orders for follower gear. Can auto-complete one World Quest per day (free resources). Class hall is fairly easy to get around in for daily stuff.
Cons:
As a dps class you don't have super fast que times for dgs. But, it is a fairly easy class to level. Moderate dg requirement (4) for class campaign.
Warrior
Warriors are one of the better tanking classes for gold making. Like the mage they have easy access from and fairly easy access TO their class halls. And of course as a tank you can level fairly quick by Q'ing for dgs.
Pros: Access point in each legion zone TO class hall. Very easy access FROM class hall to each legion zone. Can place work orders for follower gear. Can auto-complete one World Quest per day (free resources). Class hall is fairly easy to get around in for daily stuff. Light dg requirement for class campaign (2).
Cons: Can't really think of any.
Warlock
Warlocks are a fun and easy (imo) class to level. In destro spec you get a tank to help you out in all situations. And you have a 'get out of death free card' (soulstone). Unfortunatly you, as dps you don't get the fast track leveling in dgs that a tank/heals would.
Pros: Can place work orders for follower gear. Can auto-complete one World Quest per day (free resources). Class hall is fairly easy to get around in for daily stuff. Light dg requirement (2) for class campaign. Moderate dg requirement for class campaign. Class hall is big, but your can ground mount around.
Cons: No easy access to/from class hall.
Paladin
Paladins can fast track level due to their ability to tank or heal in dgs.
Pros: Can place work orders for follower gear. Can auto-complete one World Quest per day (free resources). Class hall is fairly easy to get around in for daily stuff. Light dg requirement(2) for class campaign
Cons: NO easy access to/from class hall.
Priest
Priest are a versatile class to level. You can dps or heal (or even both at same time as Disc). They are one of my favorite non tank classes. Being able to Q as heals in DGs allows fast track leveling.
Pros: Can place work orders for follower gear. Class hall is quick to get around for daily suff. Light dg requirement(2) for class campaign.
Cons: No quick access to/from class hall. No auto-complete of WQ for free resources.
Druid
Druids are a multi-purpose class when leveling as you can tank/heal or dps. They also have many other advantages over other classes. But for gold making purposes the only benefit is quick access to class hall.
Pros: Quick access TO class hall. Can tank dgs for fairly fast leveling.
Cons: No work orders for follower gear. No auto-complete of World World quest for free resources. Fairly heavy dg requirement (4) for class hall campaign.
Shaman
Shamans have the bonus of being able to fast track level as heals in dgs. Which is a major plus. And for questing I am fond of enhancement dps.
Pros: Can place work orders for follower gear. Light dg requirement(2) for class campaign. Class hall is spread out, but you can ground mount around.
Cons: No easy access to/from class hall. No auto-complete of WQ for free resources.
Monk
Monks are a multi-purpose class when leveling as you can tank/heal or dps. They also have many other advantages over other classes. But for gold making purposes the only benefit is quick access to class hall.
Pros: Quick access TO class hall. Can tank/heal dgs for fairly fast leveling. Very Light (1) dg requirement for class campaign.
Cons: No work orders for follower gear. No auto-complete of World World quest for free resources.
Hunter
Altough one of my favorite classes to play, hunter are NOT at the top of the list for gold making as thy dont get free resources. They also have no fast leveling as tank/heals. Still love the class...
Pros: Can place work orders for follower gear. Class hall can be reached by flying from normal zones, no need to port to dalaran (hate those long dal load times). Class hall is easy to get around for daily stuff. Very Light (1) dg requirements for class campaign.
Cons: No auto complete of WQ for free resources.
Rogue
OK, I hate to say this but rogues have a MAJOR problem IMO. It simply takes FOREVER for dalaran to load compared to other places in legion. And the rogue HQ is in the Dalarn sewers. So everytime I log into a rogue , even just to do missions, it takes much longer than any other class. Add that to the travel time time to/from the class hall and it just is a big time sink. OTOH, I do LIKE the class (especially assn). But from a gold/time perspective, they are not very hot compared to others.
Pros: Can place work orders for follower gear. Light dg requirement(2) for class campaign.
Cons: VERY Long travel time to/from class hall. No auto-complete of WQ for free resouces.
Basic Leveling Tips
There are many things you can do to save time getting your toon(s) to level 110. Although I am not going to provide a complete super duper leveling guide, I hope to provide some valuable tips and explain why I think they help.
Heirlooms and you.
First off, if you have not thought about heirlooms in a while, consider the following. You can purchase heirlooms with gold. It used to be a very long process of grinding the Argent Tournement or other methods to get heirlooms. Now you can just drop down gold and not only get your heirlooms, but also upgrade them up all the way to 110. This means that with an initial investment of gold you can wear the same gear throughout your leveling experience and always get a great bonus in XP. Heirlooms are also account wide. So if you plan on creating multiple gold makers, they can share the same heirlooms if they wear the same type of gear. For example, if you start by leveling up a DK, your next toon could easily be a warrior. Or, make a mage, followed by a Warlock. The initial investment may seem steep, but IMO it pays off in the amount of time you will save leveling up alts. And we know we will be making back lots of gold from the investment.
Besides your GEAR heirlooms, recently Blizzard added something else to the menu of things the heirloom folks sell. You can buy 'toys' that teach many of the world's flight plans. If you buy the toys on either side, you automatically get the opposite factions version too. So for a total of 20k all your toons will have valuable flight plan info from the moment they are born.
Horde :
侦察地图:东部王国战役
侦察地图:卡利姆多:与大地母亲同行
Alliance:
侦察地图:现代东部王国后勤制度
侦察地图:卡利姆多生存指南
Note that gold is NOT the ONLY way to buy heirlooms, you can also get them from the Argent tourney, Darkmoon Faire, Timewalking and many holidays. More info
Here
Each faction has one vendor that sells heirlooms for gold. Alliance can travel to Ironforge and visit
克罗姆·粗臂
. Horde go down to the Undercity and chat up
艾斯特蕾·根德瑞
Additionally there are heirlooms that require guild achievements and are sold by guild vendors. See the heirloom guide above for that info.
Darkmoon Faire
The DMF happens every month and offers a wonderful boon all its own. Ride the carousel and get 10% extra Experience AND Reputation for one hour. If you are grinding DGs to level, simplt park yourself at the carousel. Ride for a min or two to get the WHEE buff up to 1hr and then Que up for a DG. Note: You cannot auto enter a DG while actually ON the carousel (last i checked), so hop off before Q'ing. If you experience very long Q times. Just hop on/off every now and then.
If you DIE you will loose the BUFF. So before running back to your group, do a quick teleport out of the DG , hop on the carousel ,and then teleport back in.
If you are QUESTING I recommend setting your hearthstone to the nearest inn to your quest hub and flying back to either Stormwind or Orgimar for a portal back to the Faire. So for <60 leveling during Darkmoon Faire Ally toons will want to stay on Eastern Kingdoms, horde should stay on Kalimdor. In Ouland, you can port back from either the Dark Portal or from Shatrath City. Northend has portals back in Dalaran. And each Cata zone (except Ulduman) has a portal back to the capital city. Pandara portals are at either Shrine. Dreanor requires a trip to Ashran , either Stormshield or Warspear. Legion of course we are back to using portals in Dalaran.
Power leveling
Unless you are grinding DGs , I suggest you follow what I call 'power leveling rules'. Basically , the moment you level, see if new quests open up in a new area. If you are wearing heirlooms, even if a quest is usaually for higher level than you, if you CAN get the quest, it means you will get the most experience. Staying in a zone just beacuse it is 'level appropriate' does not mean you will be maximizing you experience. Push those limits! And with the 'heirloom light plans' you can usually get to a new zone/area pretty quickly.
levels 15-80 Tanks alot for everything
The best thing I can say here is that you will most likely level fastest if you are playing a tank or heals and Que for lots of dungeons. I have leveled MANY MANY toons and can say that over all, grinding those DGs will make your levels go faster than questing. There are expections of course. If you team up while questing, things will usually go MUCH faster than solo. And i do not mean that you will go twice as fast with two people, I mean you will go FOUR times as fast with two people.
And of course even as a DPS , if you que for DGs and luck into a good grup with a tank and/or heals, you will get fast que that way. But over all, a tank or heals will level fastest if they are just queing.
80-85 Cataclysmically Quick
My experience has shown that XP from DGs is NOT the way to level once you hit 80. A smart player can breeze through from here on up just from questing. Even a tank or heals who gets into a DG the VERY SECOND they Q will not level as fast. Just follow the basic power leveling rules. The moment you levelup for the next zone, move on. I have found I can usually breeze thru all of cata in about 2.5 - 3hrs by power questing. Remember, we don't care about plot/lore/gear etc. We just want to get to 110 as quick as possible.
85-90 Fly fast, Fly early.
As long as you have t least one level 100 toon you may visit the Black Market Auction in the underbelly of Dalaran (legion). And just about every other day there will be a
四风魔典
available for purchase. This BoA item will allow a toon to fly in Pandaland the VERY MOMENT they arrive. This is a MAJOR time saver while questing in the land of drunk monk bears. Like cata, I can usually breeze through in about 3hrs or so since i can always be power leveling and fly right to the next quest zone for my level.
The starting price is usually around 1k. If you keep an eye on the BMAH you hopefully can grab one of these cheap. Park a toon at the BMAH and check daily. When there is one posted, keep an eye on the time left. Note, it DOES lie. 2-12hrs may mean about 1.5 hrs. Less than 1/2hr can really mean about 45mins. The point is. If the price is low, wait til almost the end before bidding. Don't drive the price up. You want it CHEAP. And IMO if there is alot of bidding on it, wait til another day.
90-100, you DID unlock flight on at least one toon? Right?
Well, if you ain't done it yet, i recommend you start working on WoD flight. Unless you are not planning one making gold with more than one toon.
Here is your friend for this
.
Again, just stick with basic power leveling rules. I MAY add to this section with a fast track questing path I used for most of my toons.
100-110 An Assault a Day Keeps the long grinds away
Once you have ONE level 110 and have unlocked world quests, all of your alts have the ability to quickly level with the daily assaults. Each day there is at least one assault on the Broken Isles. The wowhead front page always shows the time until the NEXT assault, and the next two after that.
During each assault there will be 5 or 6 world quests that will provide awesome XP for toons that are under 110. For toons OVER 110 they provide shards(more on that later) and other things. An heirloomed toon will get about 1.25 level per assault. If you are planning on 'mass production' you could do as I have and level everal toons to 100 and then level them all with assaults. It takes about 15-30mins to do a days assault on one toon. So in a hour or so you can level several toons. The assaults are up for 6 hours, so you have a large window for each one. The WQGF addon is your best friend here. Fly to an assault WQ, get in or start a group and finish in a few mins, fly to next WQ, rinse repeat.
Keep in mind, as always our goal is to level as fast as possible. Forget about plot. Ignore your class campaign (for now). This guide is NOT about proffessions, so no need to even think about gathering/crafting. Those 'pillars of creation' can sit where they are. And Khadgar can ask you to track down fallen stars and stuff till he is blue in the face. All that stuff will still be there later.
OK, I'm 110, NOW what?
Well, now that you have a happy 110 you are 'almost' ready to start cranking out gold... Mostly this will involve doing things to get your awesome work aholic minions. But a few things first...
Gearing you up
Before we start to tackle the class hall campaign, it is a good idea to gear up your toon. The simplest way is to grind more Assault WQs. Nope, we not done with those YET. Each assault WQ will now (along with other rewards) give you a few hundred Nethershards. There is a handy vendor on the broke shore who will sell you gear tokens that create 850ilvl gear.
战斗法师凯丝琳
Note: when you get all of your followers this will ALSO be how you gear
them
up (initially... )
重塑的装甲
will get them to 880 ilvl. Also be aware those are BoA! So can be bought on whatever toon has the most shards.
This is not the ONLY way to get shards, but it is the simplest and best (imo) more info on shards
here
Also, various WQs will be available that reward gear. By combining Dauntless gear with WQ rewards you should reach 820-850 ilvl in no time. And this is MORE than good enough for us.
Being classy enough to attract the best minions
Now that we are geared it is time to do our class campaign. Please note: We are focusing on our CLASS specific campaign, NOT the 'order hall campaign'. IE, for a Death Knight these quests will be under the category 'Death Knight' in your log, NOT 'Order Hall'.
These mission are of 3 basic types (for the most part). Quests out in the world. Dungeon Quests. And MISSION quests. There are also 'gathering quests'.
There is a handy guide for each of the :
Class Campaigns
Although the title says it is for unlocking your third artifact relic, this is NO LONGER the case. You get that 'for free' now. What you really are doing is completing this campaign to get all of your class hall FOLLOWERS.
As you progress through your campaign you will recruit followers. Most likely you will get MORE THAN YOU CAN USE. If you have too many active followers you must deactive one or more. To do so, go to your mission table/map , select the followers tab, right click a follower and select 'deactivate'. You may deactive as many followers as needed until you reach the current limit. You may reactivate one follower per day by right clicking an inactive follower. If you suddenly find that you can not send out a mission even though you have plenty of resources, most likely you did not notice the message saying you have to many active followers.
Please read your class campaign carefully, some campaigns (warrior for example) have missions that require I specific follower.
Your roster of active followers should always include at least one for each type of threat. (more later). You WILL want to complete the entire class hall campaign and get them all, since after you complete the campaign, you will get to have an additional active follower bringing your total to six.
Note: Once you have your follower that can provide class hall upgrades, see the next section.
So go ahead, follow through your campaign. Run the dungeons needed. Send you minions out on the needed missions. Kill demons etc until you complete your campaign.
You should at this point notice that you STILL have at least one or maybe more minions to collect. Some classes have more than others. But, once you have completed your campaign you will NOW want to go back down to Deliverance Point and get the quest
抗魔联军勇士
details for all classes
Here
Besides gaining a really decent minion, this also INCREASES the maximum number of minions you have. So instead of 5 (by default) you can have 6.
Class hall upgrades
One of the first followers you will recruit will be able to provide you with 'class hall upgrades'. Each class has a different set of selections. My selections are based on maximizing for GOLD output by your minions. Please be aware that these are the ones that I personally use. As the saying goes YMMV (Your Milage May Vary)
I am not bothering to include the tier 6 upgrades, as you have no choice... And I don't even bother with tier 8 as it provides no real benefit for making gold. That pile of resources spent to get artifact power will instead go to making gold.

The Daily TODO
Ok, so you have finished your class campaign and recruited your followers. You are at least started on your class hall upgrades. Now it is time to put those minions to work!
Your primary goal now is to get a balanced group of six followers all geared up to 950 ilvl. If you spent shards, they should all be at least 880. You will gear up your minions in one of 3 ways. Work orders (if your class hall upgrades allow). Random rewarsds from missions (if your class hall upgrades allow). Missions to specifically get gear.
Until we reach arguss, the highest ivl your followers will reach is 900. So that is your focus for now.
Here is your daily TODO:
Step 1) Complete yesterday's missions.
Step 2) Resource management. If you have a class hall upgrade that allows for auto complete of a world quest, your 1st order of business is to use that ability. Check your mission map for the WQ that has the highest resource reward. Note: Legion Assault WQ's can not be auto completed, nor can any 'elite' missions. If you click on your auto complete icon on a zone map (big box at bottom corner of map, Focusing Crystal for mages for ex) you can then click a WQ to auto complete. Boom, you just got free resources with no effort. No plac your daily work order for tomorrow's auto complete.
If you lack a class hall auto complete for WQs and are running low on resources, it is time to send your toon 'to work'. Some helpful hints: Your Hearthstone should be set to either the Vindicar (if you have been to Arguss yet) or maybe you may keep it at Deliverance Point. Honestly , I can't say which is better for certain. The resource WQs that appear on Arguss have greater rewards, but it is sometimes much quicker and easier to get to WQs on Broken Shore/Isles. But, if you focus on WQs that are of the 'kill big bad boss' type, you can usually finish them fairly quickly with the help of WQGF and/or WorldQuestTracker (see addons section). This is where it helps if your toon has a quick teleport to and or from their class hall. Druids for example can't autocomplete WQ's , but their
梦境行者
allows them to quickly hop back and forth to their class hall.
Step 3) Place work orders for replacement Followers and Follower Gear (if you have class hall upgrade).
Setp 4) MISSIONS! (bet you thought we would never get here)
Your primary focus on missions at first will be for gearing up your followers. When ever you see missions for follow gear, make them a priority. Once you have them all to 900 (until arguss campaign is complete) you will focus on GOLD and THEN follower equipment. I don't bother focusing on equipment that gives a time reduction for missions. IMO it is MUCH more important to get things that will help improve the % chance.
The goal here is to be able to send out gold missions at or close to 200%. The higher the % the more likely you will get FIFTEEN HUNDRED (1500) in bonus gold. You will eventually be sending your teams out on missions who normal gold yield is a little over 1000 and a bonus of 1500.
The Command Center - Follower Legendaries
One of the side quests you should complete at Deliverance Point is to unlock the construction table.
has info on how to do this
. Either add to the construction of the command center when you can, or at least check wowhead's front page to see when the command center is up. The command center will occasionally grant you legenary gear for your followers. These can provide a wonderful boon to your gold making ability.
The Arguss Campaign
Completing the Arguss campaing gives you several things. First, it allows your followers to get their ilvls up to 950. Besides opening the missions for their better gear it also opens up more valuable gold and equipment missions. And lastly, it allows you to recruit powerfull new followers to complete missions.
This
here
has complete info for the final stage of your followers development.
Addons
Questing/leveling addons
Tom Tom
is used alone or with other addons to provide a 'way point arrow' directing you to a destination.
LightHeaded
puts informative comments gathered from right here at wowhead into your game. Very helpful when leveling/questing.
World Quest Tracker
Makes it easier to find and identify World Quests, also for finding groups to complete them.
WQGF
World Quest Group Finder. A very handy addon that will make it super easy to complete world quests.
Silent World Quests
Gets rid of the (imo) annoying pop updialogs that appear everytime you are near a world quest.
Mission addons
Garrison Mission Manager
For legion class halls too! One of two addons I use that make mission management simpler.
OrderHallCommander
Combined with above to make mission managemnt easier.
In Progess MissionsWhen you bring up your mission report, you will see info for ALL of your toons. Must have for 'alto-holics' like me.
Conclusion
If you follow these steps you will be able to send your followers out on missions that return over 2k gold EACH mission. On a good day, you can pull in 7k total from several missions. You will not get gold missions every day. You will not always be able to have 200% on every mission. But you WILL be making much gold for little effort. You will not be competing with other players for vauable trade goods. You will not be 'farming'. In fact when you must send your toon out into the world to gather class hall resources you will most likely get into a group with other people to finish world quests quickly.
And the beauty is that once you have done this on one toon, you can do it again on another and another...

Excellent gold-making guide for anyone wanting to maximise the output from their missions. Very thorough with a lot of good tips. Well done! I have a place to go to now when funds run low...thanks!

On my main, a Paladin, I find I will often have 2 gold missions up at once on my Mission table. My followers are all 925 right now, so maybe that is causing them to show up more regularly? In any case, I make gold through a lot of different activities, but the Mission table is one of the more solid and dependable options. It's not earth-shattering but it is regular, dependable, and no one can cut you out of the market or tank Auction prices on you.
It might also be worth noting that when Resources run low you can turn in Blood of Sargeras to a vendor (Blood Trader) in the Dalaran Trade area. Each blood gets you a Bind-on-Account box containing 200 Resources. This can be a great way your more played characters can help newer ones to get the Order Hall upgrades rolling as soon as they are available.
It's also worth noting that some Elite World Quests on the Broken Shore
can
be completed by the Auto-Complete items from those certain class halls, and Broken Shore WQ's generally have better rewards than those on the mainland Broken Isles. Occasionally you can even use an Auto-Complete item on Elite WQs that reward up to 350 gold. Not as much as the Mission Table missions, but if you are keeping up on Resources then it can still be a good option.

Do not complete the Arguss campaign on your gold-making alts, the 925ilvl gold quest become 950ilvl, just complete up to the point where you get
光铸盾卫
from there you will still get the same amount of gold quests, but with OP gear and equipment, you'll get 200% sometimes with just one follower.

You might want to add link to best followers to keep or deactivate for each class. Some are better than others in terms of getting highest % chances.
Other than that great guide, I have been doing this since 7.1 to max my gold making missions.

The only thing I found strange in this guide is the repeated comments about it being a long travel time to and from Rogue class hall. I agree that many people have load time issues with Dalaran and that slows things down, but it's quicker to get into than the Warlock class hall and has the essential bits in a more compact area than most.
(edited to add) It occurs to me that it might be considered long if you only ever go into it by the long tunnel that the quest chain sends you through at the beginning. In case anyone doesn't know, there is more than one entrance. Any shop in Dalaran with a raven on it's sign has a secret entrance in. You talk to the nearest NPC to the door knocker in that shop and show your insignia there. The door in the cheese shop and the blacksmith shop both teleport you straight to the useful part of the class hall.

I level up my alts Sham, DK, hunter and finish their class campaign

I would have liked to see more input in the "resource management" part of this guide. I have very many 110's, and even though the gold is great i burn out fast just on how many class halls i'm trying to supply with resources. It quickly snowballs, especially for toons without the convenient autocomplete. Quests to not miss (such as the boss WQ's, which might give 1k resources each), or alternate ways of obtaining resources (buying them on your main with bloods, buying them with bloods or sargarite) would be very helpfull. Also worth mentioning would be the legion questing week event, which rewards 4(?) k resources.

Could you explain to me why new Troops are better than the 7th champion slot? Like Blades of Death vs the other Tier 7 choice for dk for example. And do you know If I should get Meatball some threads mention he got nerfed and is useless for Argus Elite missions? I cleared Argus on 12 classes now got most order advancements and busy getting all the followers to 950 ilvl now. Getting around 30k a day so far any indication how much this will be with 950 followers perhaps?
Thanks for your time and this great thread, it was really usefull to set everything up!

Yes, this is quality gameplay, but i guess most players here are masochists, so no worries.

When do the actual gold making missions show up? On a fresh 110 alt Im still getting <110 missions. Or is it just based on follower item level?
EDIT: Tried on a few alts and it seems its all ilvl based so use the nethershards to guy those 880 ilvl upgrades ASAP. Or have your main buy for alts and have the alts buy character gear or champion equipment.
