Alysrazor overview
Alysrazor is a 4-phased fight, that require good coordination and raid awareness. Phase 1 is by far the longest (and hardest), followed by a short fun phase 2, an even shorter (sadly) phase 3 where you nuke, and phase 4 where you get some heavy raiddamage to survive. The fight then starts again with a new phase 1, unless you have taken the Boss below 17m hp, in which case phase 4 continues until the boss is dead.

Raid Setup
You need 2 tanks, 3 healers, and 5 dps. Once you get to know the fight better, and thus being able to avoid much more damage, you could probably survive with 2 healers, with 1-2 hybrid healer classes helping out in phase 4.
It is easiest to do this fight with at least 2 melee dps, as there is some interrupting to do.
You should start before the pull by dividing the circular arena into 2 halves, left and right, as you look upon the volcano where Alysrazor spawns. It can be advantageous to put down your raidmarkers to make a line. Make sure to point out 1 of the raidmarkers as an assembly point for phases 3 and 4.
Make a group for each side consisting of 1 tank, 1 healer (2 on the side with the worst geared tank), 1 melee dps, and 1 ranged dps. The remaining ranged dps is going to fly. If you go for a 2 healer setup, you can bring in 1 extra ranged dps who should also fly.
Tactics
Right from the pull Alysrazor will drop 6 feathers on the arena floor. Picking up one of these will increase your movement speed as well as enable you to cast on the run. First 3 feathers should be picked up the Flyer, while remaining 3 feathers should go to your healers. As she drops more feathers on her passes through the center, all remaining players should get at least 1 feather, particularly casters.
Phase 1
Tanks:
After Alysrazor has cleaved her way through the arena, tanks position themselves in the center awaiting the 2 Molten Eggs that get flown in. The damage to tanks here are not that big. When you see the Hatchling becoming Hungry you ready your defensive cooldowns. Call out when it throws a Tantrum, as either you or your assigned healer need to use a good cooldown here to avoid your death. As soon as the Tantrum starts, you kite it towards the worm on you side of the arena. It will then devour the worm, and damage will once again become negligable. Make sure you avoid Alysrazor when she flies through the arena (which will happen twice before phase 2), as she stacks a debuff on you as well as hitting you for a 100k
.
Left/Right team:
Your side will get 1 add at a time, the
炽炎之爪新兵
. They can spawn 3 different places on each side, so make sure to learn where these are. They have little health and are easily dispatched. Melee dps interrupt the first cast, ranged dps interrupts second, and melee again interrupts at 3rd. While waiting for your next add to fly in, you help the tank dps'ing his add.
Flight team:
Moving around in a 3d enviroment while casting and avoiding stuff takes a while to learn. First you move behind Alysrazor. She will then spawn 3 objects behind her: 2 clouds that will damage you severely and fiery hoop, which you must pass through. This will stack a buff on you that will increase your haste, your resource regen (mana, energy, and so on), and refresh your flying buff. Should you miss 3 hoops in a row for some reason, you will fall to the ground and you have to pick up another feather to get back up. You should assist your raid by calling out when Alysrazor is about to cleave through the center. Handled 100% correctly you are able to get 12 hoops from she starts flying until she has cleaved through the area and starts flying again. You can maximum get 25 stacks though, which will also earn you another buff of 75% extra Crit. I find it easiest to do by passing about 10 yards or so past a hoop, and then pause to see where Alysrazor spawns the next one.
Phase 2
Flyer must get down, as the flying buff will fade. Healers and dps should try to move close to the pre-assigned stacking point. Phase 2 basically is about surviving the many tornadoes. This is best done by running behind one, then as soon as you pass a tornado going the opposite direction, you circle around and follow that one. There will be more fiery hoops on the ground during this phase, which you should get if possible (they last only 3 seconds), but not to the extent to take damage. Exception to this is the Flyer, who near the end of phase 2 should get his stack refreshed at all costs.
Phase 3
Stack on the assembly point, except tanks. Everyone pops as many offensive cooldowns as possible and nuke the best you can - even healers, as damaging the boss regenerates mana. There will be 1 add coming in from either side that will channel a fire beam onto Alysrazor, and the tanks must interrupt these as much as possible, as this beam will shorten phase 3. If you believe you can kill her off (or very nearly so) before she reaches phase 4 at 50 energy, then pop Bloodlust/Heroism/Time Warp now. Otherwise save it for phase 4.
Phase 4
Tanks need to move to each side of Alysrazor, basically forming a triangle, where tanks represent 2 points, and the raid forms the third. Take 7 stacks of the debuff before switching tanks. Healers will need to AoE heal like crazy here, and when Alysrazor reaches 100 energy she will do an extra strong AoE burst which will also do a knockback. Pop a strong cooldown or 2 for this. Pop BL when she is unable to reignite.
Achievement

. Unlike many Boss Achievements this one is pretty good. Completing it means that everyone has done their jobs right. Ground team has been able to avoid the Brushfires from the adds in phase 1, as well as the line of fire from the worms, while the Flyer has managed to avoid every Cloud, and everyone has managed to dodge the Tornadoes in phase 2.
Special tips and tricks
Some of the starting difficulties usually is that tanks are unable to down their adds in time. As the ground teams get better at their jobs, they will have time to help much more, but otherwise there are some nice things to do as well.
嫁祸诀窍
: 15% extra damage done by a tank that already does 1000% extra damage adds up to a lot. Note that Tricks should be used on the Flyer in phase 3.
: The extra damage by this is also amplified by the tanks 1000% buff.
荆棘术
: Damage from this is also amplified 1000%.
附魔武器 - 山崩
: This will increase damage significantly, as well as reforging some hit/expertise.
Other specials:
Flyer make sure to stay well behind Alysrazor as she does her cleaving run. Getting even a bit too close will earn you a melee hit.
A Shaman cannot solo interrupt adds; Wind Shear doesn't lock schools, and they start casting a new spell immediatly after being interrupted by a Shaman.
Stack up before the pull and use all personal small defensive cooldowns as well as a raid cooldown. The Flyer should stay mounted to lessen the time needed before becoming airborne.
Heroic Mode
The fight has 3 significant changes from the normal setting:
You will have to kill and/or avoid an extra add, the
熔火流星
, the corpse of which breaks Line of Sight.
Before phase 2 you need to survive 2 x
火焰风暴
, which is done by breaking Line of Sight.
The Hatchling will now have lower health, but now each tank has to kill 3 before phase 2.
Execution
Once the
烈焰之末使者
has finished summoning the Meteor, ranged dps must immediatly slow and nuke this one down. If it reaches the edge of the arena, it will turn in to 3 smaller meteors, that can't be killed. If you are succesful in killing the first one, just ignore the second. If your team has good dps, you can ofcourse also kill the second, creating another safe spot to hide from the firestorm. Remember: the faster you kill this add, the closer its corpse will be to the center, and thus your team needs to run a smaller distance. Popping a cd or 2 here is definately worth it.
When Alysrazor does her
火焰风暴
, make sure to be close to the corpse of the Meteor. It can be a bit difficult to see where Alysrazor is on the skies, but just look at the winds sweaping across the arena - you MUST stand in cover of those winds behind the Meteor, or suffer a crispy death..! Dont worry if you still have a
炽炎之爪新兵
up. They will protect themselves by channeling a shield, and not resume their activities until you can come out of hiding. NOTE: The Flyer cannot "hide" behind Alysrazor in the skies; he/she NEEDS to get down behind the Meteor.
The time until a
火焰风暴
is basically the time a tank has to kill of his Hatchling, as a new one will be flown in after each
火焰风暴
.
After the second
火焰风暴
there will still be summoned more Meteors, but as she will not be casting a third
火焰风暴
you can just ignore these completely (do try to dodge them still).
Healers must be extra careful around the Meteor corpse, as it also can block their Line of Sight to their tank - this can easily cause a fatality during a Tantrum.
Healers should be ready to sweat some extra during phase 4, as Alysrazor's AoE will now HURT..! It is still quite possible for 2 healers to keep the tanks up, as well as take care of an unlucky dps who gets fried occasionally in phases 1 and 2, but 3 is definately needed for phase 4. It may be doable with 2 healers, and 1-2 hybrid classes helping out on AoE during this phase though.

This is good as basically a novel of the encounter from multiple perspectives, rather than a "Here's what she does, decide your strategy" so it separates it from the link you provided to the encounter synopsis on Wowhead.
Personally, I would add more formatting to make it a bit more interesting to read and eye-catching. For instance,
bold
or "/color" things to catch someone's eye if they are just skimming for tips rather than reading with no prior knowledge. Perhaps a bullet list for each phase with the most important things to worry about for each section of the fight would be helpful as well.
A Shaman cannot solo interrupt adds
I disagree here.
The spell needing interrupting (
烈火喷涌
) is a 3 sec cast. As long as the shaman interrupts
past
the half-way point of the cast, the next cast spell will always be
爆燃之火
which is another 3 sec cast. Following that, the shaman should have between 1-3 seconds left on
风剪
(depending on how long the mob delays in casting each spell) which will allow them to once again interrupt the next cast of
烈火喷涌
which will take 3 seconds to cast. This is if the shaman does
not
have
, which if they do, will make it even easier. If the shaman doesn't stay on track and lets a few casts off, they will soon find themselves unable to solo interrupt as the 2-cast rotation of the mobs will be faster than the cooldown on
风剪
.

As of the nerf on September 20th, interrupts are not even needed for Fieroblast. The adds cast two brushfires every time and can be killed before it even casts 1 Fieroblast.
It's important to note that you can see the add coming by paying attention to the fire birds as soon as you get the warning that the initiates are coming.
