Hello Everyone
This is my first Guide so please bear with me as I make and update it.
I want to help people who want to maximize reputation without doing everything every day in the game.
As each day has new emissary and world quests, the data in this guide will grow as I add info about the new zones.
LEGION ONLY:
Remember that the harder World Quest, the more reputation it will reward you. The difficulty is displayed on the icon of the World Quest.
Like loot = UnCommon < Rare < Epic < Legendary
Some reputations have special amounts depending if they are harder to encounter.
This is an example of how the reputation can differ between the difficulties:
Uncommon: 75 rep
Rare: 250 rep
Epic: 500 rep
Legendary: 1000 rep
You also can receive more reputation if you have racial or other reputation buffs. For the sake of this guide, I picked my Draenei that only has access to the Impressive Influence reputation buff.
Legion Factions and how to farm them efficiently.
Legion Emissary
Highmountain Tribe
The zone Highmountain is home for The Tribe with same name so ALL WQ will give reputation with them but often there will be Warden WQ in the zone that will give both Warden and Highmountain reputation.
After Completing 4 World quests and handing in the emissary I got in total 4900 Rep.
The world quests picked (hereafter WQ) gave me gold, rep, and order resources.
The usual WQ give 300 rep, the worldboss gave 1000 rep and the emissary hand-in 3000 rep. Total
4900 Rep
This is standard for all levling zones in Legion (Non-levling zones: Suramar, Mac'Aree, Krokuun and Antoran Wastes)
The WQ I chose rewarded order hall resources, and the reason is because of the reputation items you can farm from your Order Hall - lower down in the guide.
Legion Emissary
Court of Farondis
The zone Azsuna is home for Farondis so ALL WQ will give reputation with them but often there will be Warden WQ in the zone that will give both Warden and Farondis reputation.
10minutes of my time and total reputation received:
Court of Farondis: 5300 rep
The Wardens: 1000 rep
Legion Emissary
Dreamweavers
The zone is home for Dreamweavers so ALL WQ will give reputation with them but often there will be Warden WQ in the zone that will give both Warden and Dreamweavers reputation.
15 minutes of my time and total reputation received:
Dreamweavers: 4200 rep
The Wardens: 300 rep
Legion Emissary
Valarjar
Place Holder (Basically the same as the other Zone-specific Reputations)
Legion Emissary
The Nightfallen
Suramar is the first zone that was for leveled up characters. In this zone we meet The Nightfallen - Crystal addicts.
I completed the following WQs:
The lowest rep you can get is 300 per normal and some blue WQs. It seems to have something to do with the contact release/difficulty.
The 2 WQ in the lower part of town awarded 300 rep, while the Elite WQ and in the crater of Felsoul Hold awarded 700 rep.
In total I got: 5000 rep.
Legion Emissary
Kirin Tor
Kirin Tor is the Faction of the Mages who live in Dalaran. Note that this is not a new faction, they were introduced in Wrath of the Lich King - and therefore do not have an increased reputation.
All of the WQ give 97-98 Reputation with the Kirin Tor, but just like warden, also the reputation depending on what zone the WQ is in. They are very few and scattered around.
What is different about Kirin Tor is that 1) All their WQ are about puzzles 2) Their emissary reward is reputation with other factions of
your
choise!
After you have done their 3 WQ, you can get your prize in Dalaran:
I do this one on all my characters, as I still haven't gotten the battle pet
Wondrous Wisdomball
If you didn't play in Legion and find the puzzles a challenge, here are some tips:
1) Lay Race
Goal: Fill the bar with energy. You will sit on an auto walking cat, and can only steer it. Make it walk over the blue spots on your minimap - follow them until the bar is full.
(Even into enemy city's - you will be ported to the start when you finish the WQ) - The longer you walk straight forward the faster the mount becomes.
2) Like the Wind
Goal: Get from the starting point to the End portal. You have to dash correctly to get through the puzzle. So what you do is Mount up
before
you get close, go to the dude so you see the new abilities, and fly through the entire thing.... Remember to fly somewhat close to the "way" they are set, otherwise, it will teleport you back thinking you failed.
3) Enigmatic
Goal: Walk the path you were shown three times. So this might look difficult, but it really is not. If you fail, try again - you might get an easier path and it does remember how many times you made it in total.
Tip 1: It will never ask you to walk on the outer boxes. Tip2: Count how many boxes you need to go left, up, right etc.
Here are 3 of the easiest paths, and 3 of the harder ones:
4) Barrels o' Fun
This is a classic. Dwarf will pick out one barrel and start to shuffle them around - when he is done you have to click the correct one. He will do this until you get 5 correct answers.
For each correct answer, he will add one more barrel - and for each miss he will remove one. Click extra action button to start!
My tip is to look at the whole screen and not just the barrel and follow the direction its flying. Sometimes the barrels are close to eachother, so its easier to know which one is correct if you just follow where it goes. If you struggle, just miss until you have 3 barrels and win the easier games. There is no skip for this one.
5) Professions
If you have unlocked the profession WQ you have one fast WQ in Dalaran. See Jewelcrafting example:
Total amount of reputation:
Kirin Kor: ~400 rep
Valajar: 600 rep
Suramar: 300 rep
Highmountain Tribe: 3000 rep
Legion Emissary
Armies of Legionfall
The zone Broken Isles is home for The Armies of Legionfall so ALL WQ will give reputation with them.
I did the 4 WQ marked today and got 300 rep each, so I am not sure if all WQ in this zone are like that or it is just the easier ones.
In total I got 4200 rep.
Legion Emissary
The Wardens
The Wardens is the first of the Factions to not have an own zone - Instead, it spawns WQ's in all other zones granting you the reputation of that zone as a bonus.
There might not be that many WQ to choose from but you can try to target a zone where you want more rep and don't currently offer an Emissary.
Note, that if there is an emissary in the zone where you have a Wardens WQ it will give you a tick in both emissaries for doing 1 WQ!
In total I got the following reputation:
The Wardens: 5400 rep
Valajar: 1200 rep
Highmountain Tribe: 500 rep
Court of Farondis: 700 rep
Legion Emissary
Army of the Light & Argussian Reach
Both Army of the Light and Argussian Reach share most WQ in Argus so I tend to do the Rare-killing quests as they reward 700 reputation each.
It took me 5 minutes to do all 4 WQ and I was given:
Army of the Light: 5800
Argussian Reach: 2800
Legion Assaults
I did one Legion assault to confirm the amount of reputation we get.
The easier WQ gives 150 reputation with the faction in that zone. (In this example Valajar)
The Elite WQ gives 300 reputation with the faction in that zone AND The Wardens.
Turning in the Quest for doing 4 WQ gives 150 reputation with the faction in the zone.
Turning in the next quest will also give 150 reputation with the faction in the zone.
For the ending Scenario turning you get 150 reputation with the faction in the zone.
So in total, I got this much reputation:
Valajar: 1350 rep
Wardens: 600 rep
I don't feel that its worth it, but if anyone wants to do it, it did take 10 minutes to finish it.
Reputation Items through Order Hall
In your
Legion Order Hall
you have the table where you can send out your followers. There are missions that give reputation items. If you are exalted already these items will be bound on account, which is helpful if you have a lot of characters that were active in Legion but want to progress paragon chests on only one character.
You will see what missions give reputation by seeing the icon in the table. These items base Reputation is 250.
Most of the reputation missions also award extra reputation items called the Greater Tribute of Broken Isles. This award a random item that gives 1500 base reputation.
As you can see, these missions cost a lot of order resources, and that is why I am targeting these WQ. Also, if you have good followers, you should be maxing the % on the mission. If you can make it 200% then you will always get the Greater Tribute.
I do these missions on all 12 characters, and send the Account Bound Reputation Items to my main.
At this point I am gonna warn you
SAVE THEM
.
The Reputation items do give 500 and 3000 reputation (Double the normal amount).
We will have one more Darkmoon Faire before this event is over, if we are going full efficiency then the extra 10% reputation buff is awesome!
I had a character that still had Darkmoon Reputation Buff from last time, and it does indeed work on the Reputation items from Legion.
If you farm the Greater Tribute on
alts
do
not
open them. Check if you are exalted with all Legion factions - if you are not then the items that come out from the Tribute Bag will be Soulbound. What you can do is farm them, and do one or two emissary's until you reach exalted on that alt. After that, you can open the Tribute Bags and the Items will be Account Bound.
For example here is how it looks on my Hunter that only is Revered with all of the factions in Legion:
And this is how it looks on my shaman that is exalted:
As ending words I say that you should, for maximum reputation gain, keep all the items on your main and alts until Darkmoon starts, go on the Carousel to get the reputation buff and then use all items that you can on your main or the characters you have chosen to get Paragon Chests at. You will gain 5min buff every couple of seconds, just sit tight till you have 60min buff and then teleport to Legion and visit all the Paragon givers.
This means that instead of 1500 rep for 1 greater item, you will get x2 because of the months buff, and then extra +10% from Darkmoon Faire = 3300 rep per greater item.
Battle for Azeroth Factions and how to farm them efficiently.
BFA Emissary
Alliance Factions
Emissary reputation reward: 3000
World Quest reputation reward: 150
Amount of reputation in total for 4 WQ + Emissary = 3600
In order to farm specific reputation of the 3 Alliance Zone Factions you simply need to travel to their respective zone and do the WQ there.
As we no longer are rewarded with more rep for harder WQ I do the fast ones and the ones that award gold.
All WQ in Stormsong Valley award 150 reputation with Storm's Wake.
All WQ in Tiragarde Sound award 150 reputation with Proudmoore Admiralty.
All WQ in Drustvar award 150 reputation with Order of Embers.
If you pick WQ that are for the Tortollan or Champions of Azeroth you will also receive reputation with them.
Remember that every 19 hours there is a Faction Assault. It will also reward you with reputation.
To farm 7th Legion you need to travel to the Horde Zones and do WQ there.
BFA Emissary
Horde Factions
Emissary reputation reward: 3000
World Quest reputation reward: 150
Amount of reputation in total for 4 WQ + Emissary = 3600
In order to farm specific reputation of the 3 Horde Zone Factions you simply need to travel to their respective zone and do the WQ there.
As we no longer are rewarded with more rep for harder WQ I do the fast ones and the ones that award gold.
All WQ in Zuldazar award 150 reputation with Zandalari Empire.
All WQ in Nazmir award 150 reputation with Talanji's Expedition.
All WQ in Vol'Dun award 150 reputation with Voldunai.
If you pick WQ that are for the Tortollan or Champions of Azeroth you will also receive reputation with them.
Remember that every 19 hours there is a Faction Assault. It will also reward you with reputation.
To Farm The Honorbound you need to travel to the Alliance Zones and do WQ there.
BFA Emissary
Tortollan Seekers
The Tortollan Faction is sparse and very spread. I would recommend not waiting to the last day as there might only be 2 WQ up at the same time. Each Tortollan WQ awards 350 reputation.
Tortollan WQ gives you reputation with them but also with the faction that dominates in the zone the WQ is in. So the 2 WQ in Tiragarde Sound give additional Proudmoore Admiralty reputation for alliance and The Honorbound for Horde.
In total these 3 WQ + emissary hand-in game me:
Tortollan reputation: 4550
Proudmoore Admiralty reputation / The HonorBound: 300
Order of Embers / The HonorBound: 150
It took me 7 minutes to do all WQ thanks to them being so close.
BFA Emissary
Waveblade Ankoan / The Unshackled
The Ankoan and Unshackled give 150 reputation per WQ including the World Boss.
If you haven't collected all Manapearls for the mount that each faction sells for 250 Prismatic Manapearls, I recommend targeting the WQ that awards them.
BFA Emissary
Champions of Azeroth
The WQ that rewards reputation with the Diamond-Man (Champions of Azeroth) are working in the same fashion as the Tortollan, they spawn in different regions and will reward you multiple reputations depending on what zone you do them in. They also reward you more reputation than the regular Horde/Alliance factions (250 rep). They do reward you the same amount as the other factions in their reputation (150 rep).
Champion of Azeroth: 4400 rep (Normally you get 4000 flat, but one WQ was rewarding extra reputation)
Storm's Wake: 150 rep
Proudmoore Admiralty: 150 rep
Order of Embers: 150 rep
BFA Faction
Rustbolt Resistance
Rustbolt does not have any Emissarys, but instead offers one WQ each day that gives a lot of reputation!
You might be still doing dailies here, or not, but grab a couple of the Ultrasafe Transporter: Mechagon
超级安全传送器:麦卡贡
to fast go and grab your easy 1700 reputation!
There is also a Battle Pet WQ in the zone each day, that offers the usual 150 rep.
The trick to doing any of the Battle pets is to use lvl 1 pets, because then the opponent scales down to lvl 1.
He will have 1 basic lvl 1 attack and you can have 3 lvl 1 pets - that is a 100% win.
BFA Assault
If the assault is on your factions island you will get reputation with that faction.
When you go to the opposite island you get reputation with 7th Legion / The HonorBound
This time the Assault was on Zandalar and I got here on my Ally.
Doing the 4 WQ gave me 300 7th Legion rep each
The last quest give 2000 reputation
So totally I got: 3200 rep with 7th Legion
The BFA Assault is definitely more worth doing as it also takes 10 minutes but you get double the amount of the desired reputation.
Reputation Items through mission table
Like in Legion, we have another table with follower missions, just not as handy and rewarding as in Legion. It's worth mentioning that you will get resources when doing the emissary so might as well send out the missions that give you the reputation at least on your main character.
Even here there are reputation items you can come across, they are bound to be used only if you are not already exalted (real downgrade from Legion!). That said, they are valuable if you want to get your reputation up on alts to double up on the paragon boxes or if you play both factions as I do.
I hope you find this guide helpful and I wish you all a great hunting!
