I have added some new ways to finish some dungeons, everything is easier now with classes buffs and sockets.

Heroics are too easy? You want to be challenged in both time and skill? Then challenge modes are made for you, they are the newest 5 man content, that requires skilled players and good strategies. There are 4 speed difficulties, if you feel Gold is too hard for you right now, you can finish Silver and come back later. This guide will mostly show tons of things, if you want a fast and good guide (and you don't need to read!) then go to the end of the guide, there you will find a very good list of videos (or simply search on youtube).
Please post your comments/suggestions.
Mostly a good group, don't try to complete Gold or Silver without having some kind of communication.
You will also use lots of consumables (Flasks and DPS potions), tanks should use DPS consumables too.

Rotate CDs, everything helps on Challenges, stuns, interrupts and tank/healing CDs makes you be able to handle much more damage, if you feel you need to CC something then try (especially on Silver-Bronze runs).
DBM or Big Wigs aren't "required" but as there will be so much things happening they will make your decisions come faster.

This is what differs very good from average groups, every short CC (stun, silence(?), disorient(?)) will trigger it, making the next CC of the same type lasts half of the LAST applied CC.
This means, if you stun something 3 times with 5 seconds each you will get 5-2,5-1,25 durations then immune for about 15 seconds(?).
Also important is that if you apply 2 short CC at the same time, the second one will be TOTALLY wasted.
Challenge start "spawn" Importance:

Most of monsters in the dungeon stay invisible (untargetable, invisible and cannot interact) until the challenge start, only few exceptions.
Exceptions are bosses, sometimes they will bug and won't come back to their original state, first boss on Siege of Niuzao will be attackable if you "unlock" him but reset without killing him, third boss on Gate of the Setting Sun will stay alive if you reset after summoning him (but he won't respawn when you light the fire).
On the other hand, on Stormstout you have the 2 fighting monkeys that can almost kill themselves if you reset and wait about 2-4 minutes.
Item level scale Importance:

Sets all your items to 463 Ilvl. Items with sockets are worth since you can pump your best stat.
The system is a bit problematic, EVERY SINGLE TIME you move or change items (on your bag or put on your character) this will apply the changes again and drop you to 50% health (this will never rise your HP).

This boss is VERY simple, DPS/heal stand and burn/heal, tank moves so he clear his own stacks and aggro adds. Don't stand on green ground, it decreases YOUR damage DONE by 100% at 5 stacks. (my previous information was wrong)
Gold Tip:
The boss cleave damage anything (even his "friends"), you can pull trash to be killed by it (assuming you can survive the damage), for maximum damage don't drop his stacks.

Very different from normal, Protectorate will one shot anyone at low health,

(make sure you either dispel or heal it). Weak point have almost double health from heroic, try rotating the damage cooldowns to minimize lost time (only 2 can DPS the weak point, everyone can DPS his body when broken). After dropping his armor just don't try to tank him, unless you are the tank.
Chain pull up to the stairs to the boss (use defensive cooldowns).
BL and kill the boss (avoid getting hit by 2 bombs).
Stack on smoke bomb and interrupt Wind Shaper.
Stack on smoke bomb, make sure your tank turn Rager away from other players, interrupt both Wind Shapers.
Hard CC both Ragers and kill Wind Shaper.
Use the elevator to reset both Ragers and send him down before engaging the boss.
Kill the boss being carefully with Fire and Prey time targets (healer needs to be ready).
One player (the fastest) go light the fire, 2 click on the cannons to clear fliers, light the fire once all are cleared (I would recommend using some addon to skip the cinematic, DBM works great).
You can either chain pull both packs or cleave the second with the boss (always interrupt Wind Shaper).
Kill the boss, ignore all adds (just make sure they are hitting the tank), position them in front of the boss so he will kill all of them (trash takes about 2-3 cleaves).
Skip both Ragers again (CC help).
Set people to jump and DPS the weak point (2) and someone to stay down and deal with adds. Don't tank Protectorate at low health, heal people with the debuff and kill some Engulfers if free. You may OPT to use BL on Weak Point or Raigonn.
Once his weak point breaks, just don't try to tank him as a DPS and kill him.

Go to the ledge and hit the boss before hitting the ground (right after jumping) and she will clear almost the whole room.
BL and kill the boss ASAP, dodge ice circles and be careful to not aggro Risen Guards from the side, once on her phylactery dodge fire and arcane spells.
Pull Risen Guard and 2 Candlestick Mages (you can pull all of them if confident), use defensive cooldowns on the second pack if needed.
Kill Jandice, when she splits either ask for everyone to remove 50% of their health in a line (you must call this before starting) while one person is looking or look for the real one as a group, just don't AoE all of them at once.
Pull every Boneweaver in the room (using
战斗号角
makes this very easy) and make sure your tank turn them away from your group.
Kill Rattlegore, always have Bone Shield up and kite when his damage becomes intense.
Pull carefully here, you don't want to have 3 Cravers with 99 stacks (instant death for your tank and them), kill Flesh Horror by killing Graft. Open the gate to Lillian while fighting the trash. You also should leave here with 30/35 enemies killed.
Kill Lillian, use BL if you want to kill her before splitting, don't use DPS potions if you can't kill her (if you kill her right after she becomes untargetable, she won't count for the run, thus making it impossible).
If you didn't use DPS potions just skip everything until the gate (you will need to aggro the last pack to make 35/35).
If you used DPS potions on Lillian, clear the first pack instead of the last (so you don't waste time), and try to open the gate without pulling the trash (this is a bit tricky).
Kill Gandling, DPS him and BL if you didn't on Lillian, when he teleports the tank or the healer AoE all adds (otherwise they will explode and kill players), when teleported make sure you kill adds ASAP. Healers dispel both Immolate on the tank and from adds inside the room.

Always keep moving, the fastest pick a shield and charge the Archers, if the tank is doing it be careful with the initial stun, always stay behind the shield but not so close.
AoE all archers and throw buckets on all 3 dog packs (I recommend tank doing left and right, while some DPS do forward), just make sure to hit them before they die.
Kill Braun with BL, ignore dogs (unless they are killing your tank, they shouldn't) and don't stay between the boss and other player, neither stack.
Wait for the dogs to kill everyone at the barricade and use Invisibility to cross the underground whole place.
Pull the last pack underground, CC Defender is possible (this CC actually increases your killing speed) and interrupt Holy Fire.
Kill Harlan, ignore adds, don't stand on the tank (so you don't get cleaved) and dodge Blades of Light (when he starts to cast, go to the ledge on the middle of the 2 stairs and jump down after he chooses his side), you may want to dispel enrage if possible too.
CC defender again, LoS them and make sure you interrupt Holy Fire, using defensive cooldowns will also help greatly.
Pull carefully now, tank takes decent damage and your healer might get stunned, also Treasurers damage random players.
When pulling Scholars, interrupt their Shield and Fireball Volley, the DoT applied by Pupils can also get high, so be careful.
Kill Koegler, interrupt Pyroblast and Fireball Volley, intercept Book Burner, don't get hit by Breath of the Dragon and dispel his Presence of Mind (if you don't have a dispel tell your tank to stay "inside" the boss to intercept Book Burner).
All medium challenges can have tight times as hard but they all have tricks to save time, thus making them easier.
The damage starts to increase here, if your group wasn't rotating stuns and CDs this will be a great moment to start.

Gold tip: Killing the original Trash (the ones that are surrounded by guards) will make the boss appear, if you leave one of the two additional adds alive while killing everything else, all guards won't despawn and help DPS the last add and the boss. The worst part about it is that your healer won't be able to drink for a very long time.
Sha of Doubt

Same as heroic, everything deals more damage, Figments have much more health, fastest strategy is stack and AoE everything, this also makes the healing harder.

Use Invisibility until the bridge with the crane.
Pull the rest of the trash and kill Corrupt Scroll to start the RP (faster means less wasted time).
Kill both Strife and Peril, you should try to maintain some balance in their HP, DoTs won't give them stacks.
Move towards Liu room and notice that there are 2 extra adds, let your healer drink before pulling.
Your goal is to have one of the 2 extra Minion of Doubt alive for the entire trash on the room. Use some off-healing to spare your healer mana.
With one Minion of Doubt alive (from the 2 extra) the boss will spawn and you will have about 15 hitting NPCs after you kill him (leave him at about 20-10%.
Kill Liu, with the NPCs this will be faster, don't get hit by fire waves and don't stand on green fire, Yu'lon don't have a threat table for about 4 seconds after being summoned, healer should be prepared for it.
Now the skip part, ONE member of your party that can survive for about 15 seconds runs towards the right side of the Sha room (can be left) then your group wait until they leave your aggro range and run towards left (can be right too), then he will die. The adds will come back to their original position and you will res your party member.
Kill Sha, stack on a pillar (with your back turned to it) so all illusions won't leap backwards, dispel fast and be prepared for heavy healing on Illusions phases. BL should be used right after he summon illusions or right after you kill all of them.

Chain pull all 3 visible adds, just make sure the "invisible" ones hit your tank ASAP, your tank should also keep moving in circles around the ligthing ball (to not get stunned and interrupt the channel).
Kill Gu, don't get hit by skills, use BL here (on the serpent if your healer is having trouble or at the pull to minimize lighting on the ground. Stack as 2 or 4 to clear the debuff and don't get hit by breath (other than the tank). At about 30% he will start to drop everyone health very fast, just finish him and use healing cooldowns.
Pull all 5 Sha BUT when they get low focus one at a time (YOU CAN'T INTERRUPT EXPLOSION) using stuns when he start to cast. Just make sure none of them explodes.
Avoid the Pandas and avoid the Ice Arrows.
Your tank should become DPS if possible, just melt everything that appears on the room (the good part is that your tank will have most of his DPS cooldowns). Right after killing all the Initiates, your tank back to tank spec and kill both mini bosses, focus Fragant Lotus (summons the staff).
Kill Snowdrift, dodge his skills, make sure you clear his illusions. Don't use DPS potions on this fight.
Use invisibility until the middle of the bridge, being careful with fire on the ground (if you are fast enough the arrows won't even hit the ground).
Be careful killing explosive adds, don't stun/interrupt the breath from the adds too.
Kill Sha, you can choose to either kill adds or control them, killing means less random damage on the DPS and healers but more spiky damage, control means more random damage but no spikes. Either way, dispel only the tank when he gets disoriented. When hit by his smoke blades spam spells to remove it.
Pull the 2 adds, you can have multiple people purifying the body as it will count as spells cast (?) and one body can count up to 5.
If you managed to do at least 2/4 skip everything by going through the water until the pack in the second bridge.
If you have 1/4 bodies cleanse the one on the right side before the first bridge.
Pull the pack near the second bridge, you can kill the orbs beforehand. Cleanse it before they reach 1 HP. Avoid the last pack.
Kill Taran, tank him against the pillar, your tank should also interrupt all his Rising Hatred (so other DPS can focus on Orbs), all DPS should kill orbs (even melee if needed). Meditate after clearing orbs.
After killing Taran, if you have 3/4 cleansed bodies, pull the last pack you skipped and cleanse the body (you don't need to kill anything other than orbs).

Chain pull the WHOLE gauntlet, be careful with bombs (moving as a group removes this problem), when reaching the boss room mark both hammers on the left and explode the bomb in the right. Once all 3 are dead the boss will spawn, use hammers to clear the rest.
Kill Hoptallus, balance AoE and single target, it's very good to have hammers to kill bombs. Don't get hit by Breath and try to keep him in the middle of the room. Be careful with tons of stacked adds, as a bomb can be hide among them.
Pull the Bloated trash, Bloated debuff drop when out of combat.
Avoid the patrol (I used roots on the leader/first to make all of them stop).
Chain pull both normal and RP trash, interrupt Brew bolts.
Get behind the pillar (left of the room if you look towards the center from where you came) and your tank aggro the adds with a ranged skill then LoS them, avoid blanket silences and stun adds when they start healing.
Pull the last RP pack, don't let them cast at the same target and be careful with the ground. You should have 1 tank and 4 DPS after this pack.
Kill Yan-Zhu, USE EVERYTHING here, your healer will be useless so you can tell him to DPS (as DPS spec), let your tank get the first beam. After getting the beam you can only jump if midway between the boss and the add, otherwise it will link on the boss. BL and cooldowns should be used on the pull, as it will take about 20 seconds for the first wave come.
In my opinion those are the hardest of all 9, because you need to play smart and deal with very heavy damage parts. Chain pulls are also much more required here.
If you leave those 3 for the end, you will have learned much from the others and they will seem just a bit hard.
All timers are tight, try to maximize DPS and minimize downtimes.

Use bombs ALWAYS before your damaging skills, they hit for about 500K and apply a debuff that increases damage taken by 5%, this enable to clear waves of Sik'thik Soldier with a single bomb.
Bombs take 3 seconds to blow (yellow, orange, red "ticks"), but take another full second after becoming untargetable.

Pull the first pack and kill him with pre potion using interrupts on Resin Weaving.
Even before killing the first pack, pull the pack with bubbles, when killed make sure you will be able to kill the other pack without expiring the debuff.
After clearing another pack of Mantid, pull the other bubble pack (you should watch your debuff timer to set your pull speed), use healing/defensive cooldowns when they start to explode.
Kill Jin'bak, BL and he will melt, just make sure he don't cast Detonate with a big pool (he shouldn't cast at all).
Wait your stacks to drop then pull the next bubble pack (skip mantid by going through the boss room).
Always chain pull on this part to maximize the debuff usage, you may want to drop your stacks at some point.
Kill the Warden to trigger the event (about 10 seconds) and talk to the panda afterwards.
Kill Vo'jak's army, you neither have to spam or keep Tar for later, your tank just tank them near a Tar place to kill them faster. All your DPS kill Amberwing (they have nothing to do, really) after killing it one of them stays near the Gong and click him when possible, this will instantly send the next wave. Make sure your tank don't get hit by Demolisher. Once the boss start to climb (or before he even starts) make a path of Tar. You should only FIRST hit him when EVERYONE is able to DPS him, as soon as you hit him the timer for his Dash starts (and it will clear all his stacks) he can die very fast if done right. Don't stay near walls or ledges and throw bombs between your tank and his charge target.
RP time (30 seconds), avoid ALL trash here until the boss, you may choose to pull one of the 3 bosses pack and kill them (CC one of the bladers).
Kill Pa'valak, mostly you use him to kill other things, don't get hit by his blade. Once he uses Barrier, WAIT ABOUT 5 SECONDS after he uses (not when he goes to the middle) then pull everything and stun/root/anything on top of the boss. ALL DPS and the healers should have a preset position for picking bombs (image here) and throw them at the boss/trash ASAP, if you take too long your tank will die. Don't let the adds kill the healer (position him so they need to pass through your tank first).
Slow chain pull, make sure neither your tank or healer gets stunned while tanking too many trash. Interrupt Engineers.

Get to the scout room aggro him to make him run (he see invibility) if your party doesn't have some speed boost I recommend killing the Ironhide pack. Use Invisibility potion to jump the ledge towards the boss.
Kill Gekkan, no, kill his adds first set people to interrupt both Oracle and Ironhide (oracle is more important, put 2 people there). CC Hexxer or pull him into the pack, try to kill the last 2 (boss and Skulker probably) at the same time, so you do more cleave damage.
Run towards the elevator, CC or ignore the 2 adds but keep healing as they hit pretty hard.
Now it's patrol time, try to dodge the first patrol (you can also use CC that don't pull when expired, I need to make a list for that), the second is a new one, 3 High guards will be crossing your way, don't aggro them.
Pull 2 packs and kill them, pull the dogs afterwards, dogs deal heavy damage on the tank, so be careful.
Kill Xin, be careful with combos (axe throw you at blades, fire or cleave) and don't stay on blades. You can move the boss if needed, just make sure you don't waste tons of time to position him.

Use defensive cooldowns here, the damage is very high (because they are mostly casters), stuns also do the work, be careful to not aggro both neutral Judicators and the pack with 3 Scarlet near the door.
Use invisibility potion to skip most of the trash (if you don't have a speed boost you may consider clearing the pack with 3 Scarlet near the door).
I recommend going to the right stair, if you walk on the white part (not on the water) you won't aggro the 3 monks) if you are confident you can go to the left (just make sure you get there fast).

After she resurrect Durand, focus her (so your group don't need to focus on interrupts).
Pre potion to the first pull, AoE everything.
Pull both sides of spirits and tell a ranged DPS to focus on them until they stop moving, pull the boss when they become slow enough.
Kill Thalnos, interrupt him and AoE adds, dispel the magic buff and ignore big adds (they can be controled by control undead). Be careful to no get hit by the spirits.
Pull the new patrol, using LoS and interrupts (specially on healers), the damage here will be VERY high. Don't pull the second pack near the door if you have speed boost.
Use invisibility potion to get running until the right stair (it's safer), make sure you walk on the white part (not on the water) to avoid the monks. Pull the boss when he is in the middle of the packs.
Kill Korloff, he deal some heavy damage, his flying kick always go on the farthest player, make good use of it, be careful with his fiery ground.
Get past all monk by going through the middle of them.
Clear the whole Monastery, starting by left, then going right and clearing the pack of Initiates (but ignoring the pack on the left side), damage here will be high and interrupts/stuns will be very important, make sure you don't let Spirits heal something.
Kill Durand and Whitemane, as soon as pulled he will call for any alive member of Scarlet in the cathedral, this means 2 Judicators and 1 Zealot will come for you (focus Zealot and LoS his Spirit, DON'T LET HE HEAL THE BOSS). Make a circle around the boss to remove his travel time of his skills. Once Whitemane comes, use preset people to interrupt Dominate Mind (1.5) and Mass Res (2.0), Mass is cast more often than Dominate, put 2 on Mass and 1 good at Dominate (assuming you have 2 with 15 seconds CD, I didn't complete with only 1 with 15 seconds, I need to see how it works. Once both are alive focus Whitemane (so you don't need to deal with her interrupts).

Seems like a good outline starting point in a few areas and then more in depth in others. I think what makes this such a good tool though isnt that there is no other guide /help created to get people through these challenges yet. Great job creating this in helping us all out.
My absolute favorite aspect is the fact that you give a list of credits (in links) for peeps to look up.

As a frost mage, always use the frostbomb + shatter to do some insane damage on trash. You have to apply the frost bomb and hold your pet`s nova to the last second (when it is blowing) or use your frost nova.

, the aggro from the item can be transferred via Tricks. We found this especially useful with the Boneweavers in Sholomance to allow everyone to get set up and pull them to the tank.

Also, not sure if this is what you mean on your Stormstout guide, but we actually pulled the first 5 monkeys into the room with the Habanero brew and used the group of kegs in the left corner to help kill them. If you use the Horn to interrupt the elementals, the explosion brings them to near death. We tried grabbing the drunken fighters and packs of party animals, but it seemed like too much time was spent waiting for them to all gather so we just killed the first five with the brew and moved on to pull the drunken brawlers and party animal packs.

Pros:
Vampiric Embrace works great as a complimentary cooldown to aid healers on AoE intensive situations or large pulls.
Hymn of Hope - Helps your group keep chain pulling by giving your healer mana without having a need to drop combat.

Great defensive abilities
Due to high survivability I was also able to help my group with pulling and LOSing casters such as in Rattlegore's room in Scholo.

Dark Sim also proved huge for us on bosses such as Gandling "Immolate" increased our DK's DPS by ~25% (Be sure to glyph for it so you can get it more often!)

I know fire mages are down in the dumps, but what really sets good ones apart from bad ones is their perfect usage of combustion and alter time. Those that can't nail them both perfectly usually aren't worth bringing.

For Temple of Jade serpent:
1 major tip for last boss to help u save at least 10-15 secs, as a tank pull the boss all the way up to the balcony, tank him there so when he goes to the middle back into the room to split the spirit, ur dps have a good 5-6 secs to dps him more before he does the split spirit, while he is running back into the room.

I can say 3 things about DPS Warriors in terms of good - descent playstyle:
The perfect arms warrior never overcaps his overpower stacks or reapply colossus smach too early.
Fury warriors try to use both their raging blow and wild strike in moderation in order to not overcap the stacks what will happen some time.
Both warriors should never cap their rage
One thing about Deff warriors good - decent playstyle;
They want to prevent to cap their rage using barrier or heroic strike/cleave

You indicate that to be a successful priest healer in challenge mode dungeons you need to be disc spec, however this is not true. As a holy priest the damage can be substantially higher than a disc priests by being in chastise chakra. The flexibility in the chakra allows us to change depending on the difficulty of the trash/boss next.
This allows holy priests to spam smite during lower damage sections, and when combined with the talent 'from darkness comes light', you will regularly get free flash heals which is a huge mana saver.
On top of this they have some fantastic healing CDs (guardian spirit, divine hymn) which can be used during high damage situations or to quickly top off the group and get back to aiding in the DPS.
I would personally recommend FDCL over mindbender for a holy priest (despite the item-scaling) as damage is more burst so flash heal will be used more frequently.
I found this guide however a huge help and I would recommend reading it for anybody attempting the challenge modes. It is important to not aim for gold as soon as you start each challenge mode, you need to go through the instance getting to know where to use CD's etc to get the most effective time from you run.

Now that there is so much information readily available for challenge modes and all the specs + classes you can do them on, I think it is important to note a few things. If you're coming at these with the intent of getting gold, relax!
Gold is, at the end of the day, an easy goal. With 5 people, dps is not as big a factor as you may think. Have your flasks, your food, your pots? Good, now all you need to do is rinse and repeat until you get past each bump and you WILL complete it. Patience is an important tool, you will wipe.
Usually if you're wiping at a hard spot, you can afford to tone down the pull to make it easier- or communicate with your CDs better if you insist. That first big pull in mogu'shan in particular tends to crush spirits. You don't need to do the whole thing. Focus down the problem mobs (dogs in that case, nasty stun), interrupt casts (interrupting casters is a big thing in any of these) and once the mobs are low enough you and your healer move ahead while the dps chase after and finish off the mobs as they run.
Finishing a gold with 2 seconds left on the timer is still a gold, doesn't really matter how tight the timer is, as long as you get it. Selling runs, getting speed clear records, etc. Is another matter entirely. Just remember, if you're only going for golds there is NO reason to stress!

Just a couple of tricks that will both make your life easier and shave some time off your run.
1) Scholomance - Jandice Barov: If you pull her between the book cases (watch out for her cone attack!) and have your group stay there doing nothing during her illusions phase, she will respawn after just a few seconds. Did this both on HC (got the achievement) and CM.
2) Shado-Pan Monastery - Cleansed Bodies: If your healer & DDs coordinate over voicechat and click on a body at the same time, it will count as 4 cleansed bodies. This is best done against the first group after the 3rd boss since the tank shouldn't have any trouble surviving 2 mobs. So you only need to kill 2 mob groups in that area (same path as HC, i.e. out of 5 groups, you skip groups no. 2, 3, and 5). This does not affect your enemy count since you will have already hit your objective with mobs to spare by that time.

On Scarlet Halls, once you have killed the Archer Commander's minions, you can run back out the end of the area to reset him. All his minions respawn and can be killed again for an extra 8 mobs. This lets you skip the two side watchmen immediately after the archer range as well as you don't have to back track and pull any packs out of the hallway you just invis'd through.

I have a question. If a class's spells tend to do AoE damage, why is that a con? Wouldn't that make the killing go by faster, or is it an issue with aggro? I've never tried these before and I can't think of why AoE damage would be a bad thing. In addition to that, my main is a Guardian Druid, and I really don't think they take a high amount of damage (though I've never tanked on any other class). In my opinion, Druid tanks have the highest survivability, maybe second to Blood Death Knights. With the right talents, there are many many ways to stay alive. Renewal, Might of Ursoc, Frenzied Regeneration, Survival Instincts, Savage Defense, etc. all help very much, especially if you go with 4 DPS and one tank like some suggest for Challenge Mode dungeons. The other thing is, yes the rage depletes out of combat (doesn't that happen to warriors too?) but only one of the high damage moves even used rage and it builds up really fast to the point where I have so much rage I don't know what to do with it, it just stays at 100 even when I use all the rage-consuming moves. I would review that and update it if you see fit, please, as well as the Holy Priest information like Elunial said.

I definitely want to try out the CM's. But it's hard to find a group unless you want to pay 20,000 a run, or if you're already 9/9.

This is one of the better, if not the best, guides for Challenge Modes out there.
Not only covers trash, bosses and tactics, but also a very tided up presentation for quick reference and some of the best tricks out there, about classes, consumables and gear to wear, and perfect macros which are critical.
Myself, managed to get Gold modes in less than a week, just reading this, matching it with some youtube videos, being able not only to be efficient in my group, but also to shine and outpeform.
Recommended 5/5 to those whising to achieve all challenge modes before they are removed with the upcoming WoD.
