A Visual Tour of Pandaria
For this Sunday, we have a fly through of all the zones in Mists of Pandaria. Since the level cap was recently increased to ninety, we figured now was a good time to show you the perks of flying. Blizzard has certainly spared no expenses in beautiful scenery.

We have some news to share right before the weekend begins. In particular, a couple of minutes ago the Jade Forest was disabled suddenly. Apparently, Blizzard wants to make improvements to the zone--we'll have to wait to see what they are!

Scenario Previews: A Brewing Storm and Brewmoon Festival
Lore and Perculia have teamed up to give an in-depth preview of the scenarios available for testing. This first batch of scenarios centers around the Brewmasters--a group of Pandaren who take their craft very seriously and end up in the strangest predicaments on their quests for the perfect ingredients.
Currently, you must be level 90 with a minimum ilvl of 425 to queue for scenarios. You can queue up for them using the dungeon finder, either for random or specific ones.
Summary of A Brewing Storm
Up on Thunderpaw Peak, you have to help Blanche Boomer finish making her famous brew. It can only be completed in the rain, which unfortunately is the perfect weather for enraged Saurok, a race of ancient lizards created by the Mogu solely for the purpose of fighting. This scenario is very fast, with three short phases and a NPC that helps tank and heal.

Stage 1
You'll start the encounter by extinguishing kegs on fire and killing waves of Saurok as Blanche completes the brewing process over the course of several minutes. Blanche helps

Introducing Wowhead News 2.0
Almost exactly a year ago we launched Wowhead News. Its intention was to make the blogging our content team did more visible and it certainly did exactly that.
However, a lot of people had problems with the layout. It wasn't styled like Wowhead, it wasn't practical in design, and its separate domain gave everyone a headache--especially the part where it would log people out frequently and make commenting difficult.
So a while ago, when we were talking about what features we'd like to do for our community, I threw out the idea that I'd eventually like to see Wowhead News redone in a style more becoming of Wowhead. As it turns out, so did the rest of the Wowhead team!
Today I'm proud to reveal the fruit of our labor:

Jaina and Theramore Scenario Spoilers, New Warlock Pet Sounds and Emotes
Today's
beta patch
included a lot of sound files for the Theramore scenario that's been talked about since BlizzCon. So if you want to hear Jaina in all her fury, look no further! Naturally,
this post contains a lot of spoilers

The patch also included completely new voice overs for all of the Warlock's pets. They're really ridiculous--including tons of jokes and overacting--and worth listening to. These pets and their emotes will all come from

Head Enchants Removed in Mists of Pandaria According to Ghostcrawler
We've been wondering where the head enchants were in Mists of Pandaria and it looks like they're gone! Ghostcrawler gave some insight today about how he disliked the head enchant system as he felt it caused players to pick their reputation based on their class rather than personal preference. He's also removed reputation based shoulder enchants, in favor of having scribes make shoulder enchants for all players.

Head enchants are gone.
We decided that putting head enchants on the various faction vendors wasn't working well with our design intent for the factions. There is a lot of max-level quest content in MoP, much of it focused around the reputation with the new factions. I think it's really cool stuff -- worlds away from the old Argent Crusade scourge stone days. :)
In previous expansions, the head enchants on the faction vendors served to force players into that content. You couldn't even choose which reputation to pursue -- you had to pursue the one with your specific head enchant. Our desi

New Mists of Pandaria Quests Reveal A Legendary Questline
We just did a massive update for quests and NPCs from the Mists of Pandaria beta! There were
over two hundred new quests and thousands of NPCs added to the database
this afternoon.

Well, we just found its quest source.
Apparently running the Black Market Auction House wasn't enough; it looks like Wrathion is tied to some legendary quests in Mists of Pandaria--possibly for a new weapon. We think these datamined quests and items are for a new type of legendary that any class can collect--similar to how the Quel'Delar questline from Wrath had an epic questline and weapon reward for all classes and specs.
It's possible that a new legendary will increase your ilvl of a current weapon (similar to the new
Valor Point
ilvl system) via

and add a buff to make it unique. When we datamined legendary items a few days ago, we also found these three buffs:

A new beta patch is hitting Mists of Pandaria sometime this weekend it looks like! We have datamined the spell differences for you to look at and tons of new items, achievements, and more.
The biggest thing this patch seems to be

which is likely a way of upgrading items tremendously without class restrictions normally known with legendaries. This system exists in other MMORPGs so it would make sense. This is only speculation, of course.

excited here at Wowhead. It's been a long time coming. Of course, as release date nears, we've been getting a lot of questions about Wowhead's plans for D3 since it's so closely linked to World of Warcraft.

A site built by Wowhead fans, it was acquired a few months ago by the Wowhead team and we've been thrilled to have these guys join our team. Ghostcrawler decided to tackle achievements in Mists of Pandaria, with some new information on account-wide ones.

The plan here is to illustrate the intent behind our design, which should in turn help you figure out the answers to many of your questions.</p></br>
<p>Overall, we never want you to play Character A instead of Character B because of achievement concerns. If Character A had the Violet Proto-Drake, then you might not play Character B. If Character A was only one holiday away from the Violet Proto-Drake, then you may not play Character B. If Character A had completed most of the raid achievements from Dragon Soul, you may not want to bring Character B for one fight and miss out on the achievement. Having alts is cool and working on achievements is cool, but we don’t want the two systems to work against each other.</p></br>
