Wowhead Profiler: Queue Maintenance
Just wanted to issue a quick warning—the
Profiler
resync queue will be under maintenance today until the evening. There's been a small incident involving a plate of spaghetti—trust me, you don't want to know the details!
All of the aspects of the Profiler should be working normally—but all Armory resyncs will be queued up, and will not get synced until the queue is restarted again.
We'll be back to normal in a few hours!

New Items in Patch 3.3!
We've made some updates to the
New Items
page! You can now conveniently see all of the items we've gathered from the PTRs, neatly sorted by item level. It displays a tab for each major item level tier, and allows you to filter the results to your heart's content.
You can filter globally using the quick search box, or on a per-column basis by right-clicking them. Remember that not all of these items have drop data yet. This will come in time, but we need your help—so be sure to send us your
cache files
, and be sure to run the
Wowhead Client
on your PTR installation of WoW!
Go check out the list, and keep checking back—you might just find something no one else has caught yet...

We've actually been stealth-fixing this page for a while. We originally had an "Under Development" page in its place, but we decided we'd rather keep the big things a surprise (stay tuned for some cool surprises this month, btw). We've changed the page over to a "

Weight Scale Updates
Wowhead has made a long overdue update to the
weight scales
!
We've gone through the sticky threads and pulled the best weights we could find to update our weight scale system, so the
weighted searches
,
weighted comparisons
, and
recommended upgrades
on the
Profiler
should now be showing much more realistic results.
There ARE a few weight scales that are still out of date though! Our Blood Death Knight scale still doesn't have a value for agility, and our Frost Tanking scale still has old numbers. We're changing the way these scales get updated so we should be much quicker to get the scores up to date—but we need your help!

Patch 3.3 Guide - Recent Updates
The reason for this out-of-the-blue blog are some recent updates to the
Patch 3.3 Guide
we released about 3 weeks ago. Several PTR builds have hit us since then, I have been updating the index page of the guide, and occasionally dropping a reply in the blog, but all of those have been somewhat subtle. So here is the official announcement of what has been updated and how it has been updated.

Note: We know we've been spamming you with blogs a lot lately, but this one had to be done. And better now than when Halls of Reflection, or some other major feature appears on the PTR. Blizzard has really made us work for this patch.

Create YOUR Own Wowhead Title!
That's right, folks, you saw it correct! You now get a chance to design your own title to be added to our pool of randomly generated witticisms you get to see every time you load the homepage!
You have asked for it, and we are giving it to you. There have been several threads on the forums, all of which asked us (nicely, of course) to add new sayings to our pool. We have read them all, but until recently time was just never enough to bother with something so small.
Well, we are as busy as ever, but this request of yours we can fulfill!
This is not a contest
, and there are no rewards beyond bragging rights. But think about how cool your friends will think you are when you go to them and say
"See that thing up there just after where it says "Wowhead: ..."? That's right, I gave them that idea!"

That's right! Due to popular demand, Wowhead has added a
titles listing
to the database!
Just browse on over there (It's in the Database menu) and take a look! You can drill down into the sub-categories using the drop-down menus. Don't forget—you can also filter it down for specific titles using the "Search within results" box on the right side!

Happy Midsummer Fire Festival, everyone!
Uh, nevermind. I'm a bit late for that now. Oh well! Its done at least.
Here's a Festival comic written by our lovely

. She raised the technicalities relating to the quests to
steal
the
flames
of the other factions main cities. So you've taken a flame, great! How? On a stick? And even then, where do you keep it, to stop it going out on your rush back to hand it into the NPC?
How about in your pocket? Well, that wouldn't be very safe now, would it? Your clothes would catch on fire..
Apologies again for the lack of comics lately, I've been incredibly busy, and I still don't have a full time comic writer!

Wowhead Scheduled Maintenance (7/7, 2am EST)
On Tuesday, July 7th, Wowhead's database will be undergoing maintenance from 2am-5am Eastern time. During that time, the site will not be accessible. Users are advised to begin panicking... now.
In all seriousness, we're upgrading the firmware for our database server's RAID array. If you don't know what that means, then just know that we are making the site dataz safer.
