Highlights

The Devs have taken lessons from Phase 1 to improve Phase 2, such as the PvP Events and certain class-defining Runes.

Opting out of the Blood Moon PvP event will not put you in a different layer. It will simply keep you friendly with players from your faction, while still applying on any normal server PvP rules. This means you can still be attacked by the opposite faction if you are flagged for PvP, but you will not grant any Blood Moon rewards when killed, or earn any when you kill other players.

There will be 6-7 new Runes per class in Phase 2.

Gnomeregan was chosen as the new Level-Up raid in part because it is big enough for 10-player groups to explore and have interesting boss encounters, and in part because the team was excited about it creatively.

Waylaid Supplies will no longer be Unique - you will now be able to carry more than one at a time.

While many want Dual Spec (including many developers), it will not be introduced in Phase 2 and they are not ready to talk about if and when it would be introduced.

The Quality of Life Skillbooks that are being introduced in Phase 2 are good indicator on how they want to continue designing Season of Discovery: Smooth out gaps in design, but not necessarily aim for completely balanced class tuning. Depending on feedback on the Skillbooks they might introduce more in future Phases.

No plans on introducing Vellums for Enchanting, they want to keep the prestige for certain crafters to excel and build their reputation on a server.

The Devs teased that there might be some perks for Gathering Professions coming.

No plans to introduce Experience rewards from Battlegrounds. They want to keep to focus of Season of Discovery on discovering the world, and want the leveling experience to reinforce that.
