At least in 10 man we found Giant - Rune guy - Caster to be easiest.
And they do enrage if not killed quickly enough.

Group composition:
Tank 1: Death Knight
Tank 2: Warrior
Healer 1: Holy Priest
Healer 3: Holy Priest
Healer 2: Resto Druid
DPS 1: Mage
DPS 2: Rogue
DPS 3: Shadow Priest
DPS 4: Shaman (Enh)
DPS 5: Warlock
Kill order was 1.) Steelbreaker, 2.) Runemaster Molgeim, 3.) Runemaster Brundir
Pull:
Pulled Steelbreaker towards the entrance of the room with Death Knight tanking him, and had Warrior take the two Runemasters to the left of where the trio start. One healer is assigned to the MT, one to the OT and one stands between the two tanks but out of range of Runemaster Brundir's "Overload" ability and spot heals. A melee with short interrupt (in this case a Rogue) is sent to OT in order to help stun and interrupt chain lightning.
Phase 1:
Tank and spank Steelbreaker with the MT healer winding up a big heal that will land just as soon as the Fusion Punch damage is dealt, while immediately dispelling the left over magic DoT on the tank (fatal if not removed). Dispellers or Mages should also focus Runemaster Molgeim so to dispell or spell steal his buff that absorbs 50,000 damage but increases damage by 50% for X amount of time (red anti-magic shell graphic).
The healers and DPS should stack together for AoE healing due to the static aura on Steelbreaker that does 3,000 damage every 3 seconds, while the tank moves Steelbreaker backwards any time a Rune of Power is summoned underneath the boss's feat. DPS and the MT healer should adjust accordingly to stand in the rune in order to help DPS faster to beat the 10 minute enrage timer.
Phase 2:
Once Steelbreaker is dead, the MT pulled Runemaster Molgeim off of the OT and tanked him across the room, and the two Runemasters' damage increases. At this point the melee must also interrupt Runemaster Brundir's new ability, "Lightning Whirl" as it does massive amounts of raid damage. Tank and spank Runemaster Molgeim while moving out of the Rune of Death (large green circles on the ground that kill you very fast). Continue to dispell the absorption shield and interrupting Runemaster Brundir's spells until Runemaster Molgeim is dead.
Important: Make sure the raid is awlays out of range of Runemaster Brundir's "Overload" ability while adjusting and moving due to Runes of Death.
Phase 3:
Ranged DPS and healers spread out in a large semi circle around Runemaster Brundir and stay at max range in order to move away for the "Overload" ability with minimal travel time. Runemaster Brundir is no longer stunnable and now does even more damage, so anything must be done in order to interrupt his spells.
Periodically Runemaster Brundir will levitate in the air with tendrils of lightning striking the floor beneath him. He will pick someone and follow them for a short amount of time, dealing massive amounts of aoe damage to anyone caught in the lightning beneath him. The person he is targeting must kite him until he switches to another person, who must then kite him as well. He will switch targets 4-5 times before landing again. Due to the raid positioning kiting him is fairly easy.
At this point the fight is all but won, so long as everyone maintains situational awareness and kite him properly.

If you leave steelbreaker as last one, he will get 25%^2 dmg buffs and 25% for every person in raid dying. Shame I didn't get a screenshot from that 58090 hit trough dispersion (90% dmg reduction).

If you have a pally tank, have him tank the steelbreaker for the most safe curing of the Falcon Punch. It's cleansable, and when it lands, you will need the healing from your healers for that hit, so using the tank himself to cleanse it instead works wonders. Also, who watches the mob closer than the one tanking it? :)

The loot for this encounter drops from whomever you kill last of the three bosses, not always from Brundir (as Wowhead incorrectly states).

One thing my guild discovered (on 10-man, at least) is that if you have a lock with a felhunter out, you can make a macro to have it devour the Fusion Punch DoT, thus freeing up your healers a bit.
Devour Magic may share a cooldown with Shadow Bite, though. If so, you'll want to make sure to disable the latter while you're killing Steelbreaker.

If you go on the pair of
leather shoulders
dropped on Hard mode of Assembly, it says only Steelbreaker drops them.
Is the only hard-mode of Assembly of Iron Steelbreaker last? Or can these drop if you have the Iron Vrykul guy last?

I've researched some of the strats for hard mode and I didn't find anything about this way of doing things.
My group found a pretty good way to increase our DPS on Hard mode by killing Molgeim right after he drops a rune of power, finishing him off and moving Steelbreaker near it giving our DPS a huge increase for the last part of the fight. Managed to finish off Steelbreaker in roughly 1 min 40 secs before I died from his Overwhelming power debuff.
Doesn't seem to give that debuff immediately so our warrior MT taunted him off me at the beginning of phase 3 so I can cleanse him myself without the healers using up a GCD

While soloing this encounter with Brundir or Molgeim last is currently quite possible as a blood DK, soloing it with Steelbreaker last is currently not possible.
You have to kill Molgeim first as spending phase 2 trying to kite them around is quite difficult, and should Steelbreaker clip a rune of power while casting Fusion Punch, you will easily lose over half your HP from it. The

debuff put up in P2 causes

to hit you for ~35K and the dot ticks for 25k/sec afterwards. Unfortunately, resistance mechanics do
not
work on Fusion Punch's initial hit, only the dot tick damage afterward. This is the primary issue with this boss during the phase. You also need to be killing Brundir, but will often be forced out of range of him and will be forced to attack Steelbreaker for healing. Even with Spellshattering rune, spell damage reduction meta gem and max consumables, the incoming damage is not outhealable yet.
Phase 3's DPS check is
49969 DPS
assuming you get

applied the moment the phase starts. This is almost possible to reach in tank gear with max vengeance as a blood DK due to the damage increasing buff it provides, so phase 3 should be doable if you can get out of phase 2 alive.
This version of the encounter will probably be soloable sometime early in 4.3 if Blood DKs receive further survivability buffs.

Soloed this one on normal mode (steelbreaker - stormcaller - runemaster , but could also swap the last 2) with 381 item level full tank gear as a blood dk.
The strategy was using AMS each time I could on fusion punches, and cds when AMS was on cd, also the thing which did the trick for my first kill was that doing this way I always died a few sec before steelbreaker died, or together with him, so since I used IBF in the fight and I lasted like 4 mins, I decided to use IBF on 1st fusion punch, then AMS, then other cds, so IBF came back ready again before I died with steelbreaker almost dead, this was the solution.
Then in phase 2 I went for runemaster and the damage was much lower, but I stood out of runes of death and runes of power due to my low tank gear, and on phase 3 I also had to kill the adds from the runes of summoning, AMS when possible, else heart striked them down fast.
Ofc did the other non hardmode, and it just took longer, as on phase 3 stormcaller brundir keeps doing the lightning tendrils during which he does like 3,5k nature damage every a few sec, not dangerous and also you cannot attack him, so really not challenging and only takes longer.
Soloed also the hardmode after A LOT of tries, tried for months with improving tank gear, till at last with 395 item level in full tank gear + runscroll of fortitude + drums of forgotten kings + 90 strength and stamina buff + prismatic elixir I managed to do it.
Slightly different strategy: with the gear improvement and all buffs I could survive fusion punches in p1 with no cds at all and just good death strike timing, so I did, used AMS sometimes, but never used on the last punches of p1, cause due to a debuff called static disruption, he does like double damage (talking about over 130k from a single fusion punch) in p2, so used AMS on the first of p2, used other cds like ghoul sacrifice, vampiric blood ofc and IBF in p2, interrupted the lightning whirl of stormcaller brundir (went for runemaster molgeim on p1).
When brundir died p3 started and steelbreaker does even more damage with punches, could be close to 180k from what I recall, so absolutely AMS each time I could, luckily I still had 2 cds: lichborne and ERW, and was enough to survive.
Steelbreaker in p3 also puts a debuff on you called overwhelming power, it's what ends the encounter, you have 1 minute: either you kill him before or you die, no matter the hp you have.
Still had 7 sec when steelbreaker died, and the choice of the prismatic elixir vs flask of steelskin was very important, checked recount, 99% of the incoming damage is nature damage, 1% physical, I had 150k blood shield most of the time and they just never broke through it at all.
Also 3-manned the 25-man version (blood dk in tank gear, 394 item level, holy paladin and fire mage in aroun 390) on both normal modes, not possible on hardmode not even with 2 dks due to the fact that steelbreaker also heals himself when he kills an enemy on p3.
Differences are: they hit much harder, even in full tank gear physical damage in p1 is impossible to outheal solo, luckily with our setup, since fusion punches are a magic effect (and they also hit MUCH harder on 25), the holy paladin could dispell them from me, and as always I could AMS 1\3 of them, so I didn't get the dot.
So, due to the damage of steelbreaker, we killed him first, then runemaster, which also hit very hard, over 30k in phase 2, then stormcaller, still had like 3 mins before the enrage, and always kited them out of runes of power.
Even here, it goes much faster leaving runemaster up for p3 and killing stormcaller on p2, like 2-3 mins faster.
