I know threads like this one are going to appear as quickly as QQ after a paladin in a BG. So I'll just keep this thread stuck, for any discussions possible.
Here they are:
Righteous Fury
: The bonus threat from Holy spells caused by this talent has been reduced from 90% to 80%.
and
: These seals will now only use the debuff stacks generated by the attacking paladin to determine the damage done by the seal and by the judgement.
Talents
Protection
: This talent now reduces damage taken below 35% health by 7/13/20% instead of 10/20/30%.
: The reduction in cooldown to
provided by this talent has been reduced to 5/10 seconds instead of 10/20 seconds.
: This talent now provides 20/40/60% of the paladin’s strength as spell power instead of 10/20/30% of the paladin’s stamina.
: This talent now provides 10% Strength and Stamina, instead of just Stamina.
Retribution
: This ability now chains to strike up to 2 additional targets when it is triggered by an attack that can only strike a single target.

Touched by the light - Nerf, unless your protribution then ~meh
SoC-Hrmmmm... maybe worth the talent point now
Edit- HotR+SoC=good? at least interesting threat wise still probably not worth it though
--Trevelyen
edit - WTB nifty spell links like the green texted peeps, and by buy, i don't actually mean pay anything...

Tanking Paladin: "Meh, I was doing more threat than necessary anyways on most fights."
Prot Healing PvP Paladin: "Guess I'll have have to
heal
as
holy
now."
Ret Paladin: "Yay, buff to trash damage and no nerfs, got off scott-free!"

Really? My prot set is only heroic/badge but I have 800 strength and 1500 stam unbuffed which means actually a slight buff for me? Don't know what the typical numbers end-game are.

Your stamina is normally more than double your strength in end-game tanking gear fully buffed. Unbuffed right now it's about a 100 SP loss for me in my normal tanking gear.
Not that this SP loss will greatly effect me, it's definitely a slight nerf to my TPS. But on the other hand, it increases the value of Strength and the talent that increases it.

In my Avoidance set my Stamina is just over twice my Strength (2671 vs. 1326), unbuffed. Sanctuary makes it 2938. Yes, it's a mild nerf - Instead of 900 SP, I will have... 700? In a raid environment, where those 200 SP are equal to having Flametongue/Wrath totem, or not having it... I think the change is minimal. I mean, how many times do you ask your shamans to drop SP totem to boost your threat?
The RF nerf hurts a little, but remember that nothing is final. And as things are right now, I outthreat non-paladins tanks with roughly the same gear... when I am not even tanking that boss. I frequently finish whatever adds the boss has come with (e.g. arena leftovers on Thorim), start smacking the boss 20 seconds after the main tank, and steadily catch up and pass them on threat. And I can't even use Retribution Aura or Holy Shield for that.
And if Seal of Command change makes it live, I am respecing so I have that in my Protection repertoire.

In terms of keeping threat over DPS, the only times I ever come close to having a problem is on fights like Hodir where the DPS get massive buffs (10-15k+ DPS :o)

Agreed, that's what I am talking about. I am having whoever is about to taunt off me to actually call out in Vent ~3 seconds before he taunts, so I don't accidentally smack the boss with Shield of Righteousness, crit, and pull back. Wish the other tanks were that considerate...

The first time it happened, it was seal of corruption that caused it :o
It took me a bit to get used to my auto attacks actually generating a decent amount of threat.

They nerfed prot so paladin healers can't have any versatility in PvP, and didn't even touch the nerfed to hell/broken holy tree that can't out heal anything in PvP.
Resto Druid-"My dps partners suck, but I can heal forever, so it's OK."
Disc priest/resto shaman-"My dps partners suck, but I can assist with offensive dispels and burst."
Holy paladin-"My dps partners suck, therefore I die in about 20 seconds after I bubble because I heal less than the other classes, have to cast all my heals(interupts and stunlocks FTW!....), and my regen gives me a self imposed healing debuff that forces me to heal more than any other healer, and therefore completely eats all that regen because I have to heal for way more. Oh, and my one party healing gimmick costs 1600 mana, is DISPELLABLE, and makes a really loud noise that says "Purge required right here, look for the guy that flashes with every noise.""
Blizzard really needs to get a clue. Especially since they already killed 2v2, making prot healing only viable in what, 3 3v3 team comps?

If I see anyone try to tank with soc I will hurt their face off.

The cleave mechanics on SoC might make it quite lethal on AoE in conjunction with HotR. It'd mean that we wouldn't need to rely on the one tick of Consecrate to grab aggro for more than 4 mobs.
Even if it's weaving, you could use SoC to start an AoE pull, then switch back to SoV after they've stood in your Consecrate for a while.
And for the record, it's a pretty huge buff to Protribution. I think it more than doubles SP.
Why are people still PvP'ing as Prot healers anyway? Changes to Beacon to allow overheals were supposed to mean that they could just LoS and spam Holy Light on themselves?

Where did you find these patch notes? I can't fine them on the WoW site...
They were on the European WoW site for a short time - apparently enough for MMO-Champion to snatch them. When I checked the website, this particular section was down.
This
is where they would have been.

Is this protribution a real raiding tank spec? now i'm curious. could you post a link to a pve build of it or is it purely a pvp thing? Also, i'm not mad or anything about the "nerf" to prot and the buff to SoComm is nice now that ret has no *good* trash seal.

it's not a tank spec at all. It's a DPS spec that uses deep prot talents.

Unless their job is to aoe tank adds then it might just be a shiny new spell since it might proc on each mob smacking every other mob your HoR missed? Wishful thinking from an add tank though.
